Fantastic experience: Great experiences! Special thanks to --- Dr. Grant who is super nice and did oral surgery for me. I was comfortable before and after the surgery. Recovery was great. Follow-up work was also super smooth. Dr. Varro checked on my teeth health on multiple occasions. She gave super helpful advice, and is super nice and considerate. Practice Manager Michelle is a tough-problem solver and managed to help me in difficult situations so that my dental care was taken care of perfectly.

Fantastic experience: Friendly staff and consistently excellent service.

Negative experience: They did not perform the proper work that the doctor quoted, then charged my wife for the service she was not supposed to even have. They sent her for one time of imaging and the doctor did the wrong type of imaging however they still charged us for it. When discussed they refused to refund. Tried to get money back through credit card and they denied it. They were supposed to run a "CBCT" scan however the doctor ran an "pano". The doctor read us the referral notes and it said she was supposed to get a CBCT. Now not only do we NOT have the proper imaging done and my wife's tooth is only worse due to their negligence, but now we have to pay someone else even more money to get the exam, diagnosis, referral and imaging done. This has been an absolute nightmare for something that was supposed to be a simple referral for a possible cracked tooth. Beware, they care more about $$ than patients.

Fantastic experience: I had an excellent experience with Dr Alti at Gentle Dental in Beaverton OR. I had a unique and complicated problem with with an old implant and a new crown. It took awhile but Gentle Dental stuck with it and found a solution. I highly recommend Dr Alti. Great skill and great personality!

Negative experience: I've never had a dental office split checkups and cleanings but, they decided to without letting me know prior forcing me to come back later for the cleaning an hour later. With the months wait to get a cleaning they really don't care what they do to your schedule I guess. Does later today not work? Oh... What about a month from now. Cool.

Negative experience: My husband had an appointment at 12:30. They finally took him back at 1:05. This was an initial appointment and I was told it would be for x-rays,, exam and cleaning and expect to last an hour and a half. He made this appt. because his Medicare was allowed here. At 2:30 he finally came out and they wanted to make another appointment for his cleaning which he did not receive. The dental assistant did not put the vest over him during the x-rays. There was complete disorganization in the back because the dental assistant did not even know what he was there for. Of course the female dentist found all sorts of issues with his teeth, which he has maintained with the same dentist for over 20 years. Told him that he needed a new bridge which he had replaced less than a year ago! I sat out front and observed the front office staff. The insurance coder was rude to other employees telling them that they had coded procedures incorrectly in front of people in the waiting room. She was also high pressure. She spent most of her time on the phone contacting patients whose monthly payment had not gone through. Monthly payments? This is a high pressure, low quality office and we will not be going back. Instead, we will gladly return to our original dentist and pay for treatment that is necessary. Stay away from Gentle Dental.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Wang and his assistant Robin were outstanding. I had my first tooth extraction, and was extremely anxious. Dr. Wang explained the process from beginning to end, and it was exactly as he shared. If I ever need another extraction, he is the very first oral surgeon I would see. I rarely leave reviews; however, I do read them. This experience was exceptional, and his abilities should be shared. Seeing a dentist can be scary, but you won’t have anything to fear with Dr. Wang and Robin.

Fantastic experience: Gentle Dental was able to accommodate my need for an emergency evaluation on the same day. The front desk staff, Michelle, was very helpful and efficient. Dr. Alti took the time to evaluate comprehensively, made sound clinical recommendations, and patiently explained my conditions and options. He genuinely cares with professionalism and trustworthiness. I was a patient many years ago and I did not come back due to some negative experiences. I was hesitant to return but my initial contact with friendly Michelle, their being able to accommodate me on the same day, and consulting with Dr. Alti made my experience with them earn a 10-star rating!

Negative experience: Pretty terrible experience. 10/10 would not recommend. The only saving grace was the hygienist.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Wang and his assistant were great! I had to have a tooth extracted and I was terrified! They both made me feel very comfortable and at ease. The procedure went so fast I didn’t have a lot of extra time to stress about it!!

Negative experience: I got a poor filling and my tooth became infected. Now I might lose my tooth. Poor dentistry.

Positive experience: The technician, hygienist and doctor were great but I had to wait 45 minutes before going in and was late to work

Fantastic experience: I saw Irene for scaling and root planing today, and anyone who knows anything about dental hygiene appointments knows that this process can be, at the very least, uncomfortable, but Irene made it a very pleasant experience, took great care of me, and gave me pain control measures that made the entire thing relatively pain-free. She was also meticulous, which I greatly appreciated. Caitlin was my assistant, and she was awesome, too! Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Dr Teh, the oral surgeon and his assistant Robin made a great team today for my wisdom tooth extraction. They were kind and gentle while explaining the procedure to me and answered all of my questions. They made me feel at ease during the extraction and the appt was over within 45 mins. The numbing is always the scary part for me but Dr Teh knows what he is doing and it was quick and almost painless. Super thankful and will def refer friends and family in the future for treatment at the Cornell Gentle Dental with Dr Teh and his team. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: The staff were very friendly from the moment I arrived. The dental assistant and oral surgeon explained the procedure thoroughly, and listened to my concerns regarding anxiety with dental procedures. They addressed those concerns with compassion and understanding and made sure I will have everything I need prior to the surgery. I then met with the scheduling team to find a date and time that works best for me, went over the out of pocket expenses my insurance does not cover, and answered questions. I feel very confident and secure with this team and know I will be in good hands.

Fantastic experience: It was a great experience. Usually dentists have a way of talking down to ppl with less than perfect teeth. These lady's went above and beyond to make sure I informed about my choices. They didn't force any unnecessary treatments on me. I can't wait to go back.

Negative experience: Very disappointed with Gentle Dentle. I booked an appointment atleast three four months in advance to come see Dr Alti. At the time of booking itself I told them specifically that I only wanted Dr Alti. They confirmed my appointment is with him. I waited all this while. I am a cancer survivor waiting for my bone infusions after my dental work. I told them if there is any cancellation to let me know. They said they will. I was willing to wait for the provider and I did, keeping my other treatments on hold. One day before the day of the appointment when I called to confirm if I was going to see Dr Alti, they changed my provider. I was so disappointed. I cancelled my appointment. They are calling me to reschedule but I don’t think I want to go into this flaky practice, who have no consideration for even cancer patients and how their mess ups affect our other treatments. If you going in here make sure, you don’t face these kind of issues. Gentle Dentle you need to do better.

Fantastic experience: I have had a fair amount of work done here in the last year or two, and feel that Dr. Alti is the best dentist I have had. He is professional, friendly, and most importantly, does good work.

Negative experience: Very disappointing experience with Gentle Dental. Their customer support was unresponsive—I was told multiple times I’d receive a call back, including from a manager, but no one ever followed up. Despite calling several times to resolve a billing issue with my insurance, they failed to address it and instead sent my bill to collections. Extremely unprofessional and frustrating.

Fantastic experience: Love Dr. Alti. He truly is gentle. Does the wiggle lip trick during shots so I don't feel a thing. He goes, I go.

Negative experience: I don’t usually write reviews, but I wanted to share my experience. I’m currently in the middle of Invisalign treatment here. One of my appointments was suddenly canceled, and I ended up waiting almost two months to get my next aligners—even though I had explained that I’m moving overseas in less than 2 years and I wanted to stay on the schedule. I asked if it was possible to come in earlier, which they said it wasn’t. When I finally came in, I was asked, “You haven’t come pick them (aligners) up?” which felt odd, since the delay wasn’t on my side. There wasn’t really an apology, and the check-up only took about five minutes. I was told my doctor had left, but I still think they could have scheduled me sooner. Since Invisalign is costly and requires long-term commitment, I think it’s important to choose a clinic carefully. Not being able to get timely appointments can be critical for this kind of treatment, and it makes me feel uneasy about what lies ahead. The reception staff are always kind. Hopefully things improve moving forward.

Fantastic experience: I had very pleasant experience at Gentle Dental. Dr. Alte, my dentist is excellent and very caring. The office staff are very good and very helpful.

Fantastic experience: I cannot remember the last time, if ever, that I was so impressed and happy with the service I was provided. The dentist was very quick but thorough, and also very personable and funny. The assistant was so nice and helpful. What really astounded me was how the ladies at the front desk went above and beyond to get the insurance to pay for more than they had planned to on my crown replacement. While I was getting my crown out on they made extra calls for me and I didn’t even know it.

Negative experience: My experience was extremely disappointing. There was no sense of customer service ethics or commitment to completing treatment. No doctor was available, calls were not answered, and there was a complete lack of follow-up. This level of service is unacceptable and needs immediate improvement to ensure the community receives the care and responsiveness it deserves.

Positive experience: I had a biopsy this afternoon - it was very unpleasant but any dental procedure that includes 4 shots of Novocain, 2 of which go into the roof of the mouth, it’s not going to be easy to go through. Dr Wang was very kind, however, and gentle as possible.

Fantastic experience: This was my first visit and it was wonderful. Everyone was very friendly and made sure I was comfortable. The dentist took time to get to know me and explained next steps in my dental care. He also took time for any questions I had.

Negative experience: I’m not a huge fan of the Gentle Dental practice. I’ve had multiple appointments canceled, one when I was already there in the office. I’ve had several problems with getting overcharged that my insurance has had to resolve. The providers are great, but the office staff is too dysfunctional and we’re moving to a new practice.

Fantastic experience: Courteous, punctual, staff. Dr. Was thorough in discussing a plan for me.. I won't go anywhere else. The best care I've had.

Fantastic experience: Went in for an extraction. I was welcomed and everything was explained to me thoroughly, while I was also asked if it was all understandable. The prep was quick and dentist arrived not too long afterwards. He, too, explained the procedure and then made sure I was ready. Throughout the process, they continually communicated with me and made sure I was in no pain. In the end, it was essentially 'in & out' and I was done and better for it.

Negative experience: I am not a fan of the office staff. There are some (not all) rude women within reception. Personally I have had a better interaction with the nurses and dentists thankfully those are the people I am there to see anyways. However, arriving to this place and dealing with the office staff can be a real hit or miss. Getting an appointment has been very difficult at this location.

Fantastic experience: I have entrusted my mouth bones to this Gentle Dental for practically my entire adult life (20+ years). I just had a ton of work done and I was in and out in under an hour. I will never go anywhere else. Dr Alti is my hero and the hygienists are incredible. A+++ would recommend.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Nam was professional and did a thorough examination of my oral health. It was the most comprehensive and extensive physical assessment of my neck mouth and teeth that I’ve had experienced in at a dental office. I was very impressed with her demeanor. She was focused but yet gentle. I highly recommend her as a dentist and feel well cared for and safe.

Fantastic experience: Went in to have a broken tooth repaired. Unlike most dentists, they listened to my concerns and desires. The doctor was easily able to repair the tooth.

Fantastic experience: I had a crown fall out and was given the run around by the remote answering service that quoted me two months to get an appt I got in touch with office and was given an appointment the same day. The staff was amazing and the dentist spent probably 30 mins making sure the crown was reattached correctly. I'm my opinion did as good as job if not better than the original dentist ten years ago.

Fantastic experience: Daughter came here to get 2 baby teeth taken out and was freaking out. Everyone was so patient and kind. They spoke to her about the process so she would know what to expect. Process was quick.

Fantastic experience: Super easy check in. (Most all was completed at home one phone). Very friendly. I am not a tough dental patient at all, so no issues with that. It was a great experience from walk-in to xray to exam to clean. Too bad I have to wait six months for my next visit. Specifically the xray was taken very carefully as it could be painful. The dentist explained everything that was going on in real time and gave goodinstructions for care. The cleaning was very thorough and was done with plenty of explanation and some humor. Insurance explained and billing was very simple. -Michal

Fantastic experience: Periodontist Dr Grant makes things easy and explains everthing clearly ahead of time. Obviously experienced and confident with implants/surgery. My case seemed complicated to me but not to them: "Done this hundreds of times."

Fantastic experience: Amazing and caring dental practice. I have serious sensory issues and they navigated them amazingly well (much better than most). I felt cared for and not a burden even though I require more effort than a typical patient. I would give them 10/5 stars if I could.

Fantastic experience: I am originally from the Salem area and I needed an extraction, I was in serve pain for such a long time and unfortunately my dental office in Salem was booked out until July and so were all the offices around me. I was extremely lucky that this office was able to get me in ASAP. Everyone was super nice and helpful. DR. Made sure I was comfortable and in about 15/20 mins it was all over. I want to sincerely thank this Gentle Dental office for helping me out and taking care of me.

Fantastic experience: Having recently moved to the area I had to find a new dentist. The Gentle Dental Cornell practice was a great find! The team there are all excellent and I had the fortuity to be under the care of Dr Nem. She is a great communicator, thorough and personable. The front of house team and hygienists are also excellent. Would recommend to anyone looking for a dentist. 10/10

Fantastic experience: It has been far too many years since I've visited a dentist due to other major health complications, so when a filling fell out I had no choice but to make an appointment . The team at Gentle Dental were outstanding, especially given how nervous about the appointment I was. They are all incredibly confident and the 2 hour visit for the crown prep went so smooth and efficiently. They are now my dental super heroines for giving me back the confidence to get in that chair again for routine care. Its a BIG deal to me. Thank you so very much!! Sandra

Positive experience: Today I stopped by to get some updated visit information, that was needed for a year end reimbursement. The insurance was asking for a more detailed, out of pocket expense, receipt. And the lady at the front desk, was just as thrown back, as I was, by what they where asking for. The first itemized receipt that I sent in was not enough.! The gal quickly whipped up a new set of receipts. showing dates, and out of pocket expenses for me, over last 12 months. thank you very much. Joe

Fantastic experience: I love gentle Dentle on Cornell they have the best staff and they take care of you . Dr Alti is a amazing Dr. just had a crown done by him and it was painless, he very professional I would recommend seeing him, also I do want to mention that I saw Julie the hygienist on my visit as well and she was very gentle getting a cleaning done by her was very relaxing .

Fantastic experience: Wow, what a difference compared to the dental office I was going to for the past 5 years. This place is head and shoulders above the competition. The prices are reasonable, thanks to the Smile Plan, the dentists and hygienists are professional with a great chair-side manner and the admin staff rocks!

Fantastic experience: My 93 year old Mom was experiencing some tooth pain and not feeling well. From start to finish Cornell Gentle Dental went Above and Beyond to help get my Mom the care she needed. Dr.Alti and Taylor kept my Mom comfortable and showed care and compassion. Fantastic experience: I was impressed with the efficiency and confidence of the staff and periodontist. Even though they had an unexpected emergency, they made a point of checking in that I was OK while I waited. I expected the procedure to be rough as they were extracting a long and curved root. The doctor checked in with me constantly to make sure I was handling it. Very sensitive people in a situation that can be really really hard. I will go to them for anything else in that field in the future and highly recommend them.

Negative experience: Everytime I have had to interact with this office, either by in phone or in person. They're always so incredibly rude that it leaves me speechless. It feel like they're in a horrible horrible mood and just taking it out on me for no reason. They have been short, snappy, and not friendly at all. When I was getting my brace wire fixed, she left one of the wires sticking into the outside of my cheek that was literally cutting my skin, I tried it tell her it was really hurting and she just said "I know" kind of sympatheticly. Later, she slipped and jabbed into my gums. I flinched back and she didn't even acknowledge it. And that was just two of the many instances during that visit. Or when I was told to call their location for a receipt because the current lady couldn't access it. She kept deep sighing, being snappy towards me, saying how everyone can get into the system, as if I was the one messing up. I can't express how blatantly rude she was. I don't understand. Every other office has been amazing, everyones so helpful and friendly. This one has been unbearable. I don't understand how they still have a job treating people like this. I truly hope it improves.

Fantastic experience: Great orthodontist doctor and his assistant! But I wish the office could provide more days for appointments rather than just one day of the week. Maybe Gentle Dental should hire more doctors ‍♀️
