Fantastic experience: My daughter had a bad fall at school and injured her teeth. I called the office of Gila C. Dorostkar and they made time to see her right away. Dr. Walter was thorough and reassuring and he took great care in repairing her teeth. His work was beautifully done. He restored her smile. She arrived very upset and left smiling. As a parent, I felt such relief. The entire staff was kind and caring, and Dr. Walter even followed up later that day to check on her. I’m incredibly grateful. In my experience, this is the best dental practice in the area. If I could give more than five stars, I would!

Fantastic experience: My son chipped is lower tooth the other say at 3:20 pm. I sent in a picture for the doctor to evaluate. I revived a response with in 5 minuets and an appointment time before closing. Not, only did they go over and beyond to get my son in but called an hour later after hours to check on him and make sure he was doing okay and comfortable. I cannot recommend them enough!

They are phenomenal with children and as a result our daughter not only has the best dental hygiene; she actually likes going to the dentist (which is important from a young age!). We are forever grateful for this wonderful team!

The office is super kid‑friendly, and the therapy dogs were an unexpected (and adorable!) bonus—our kids are still talking about them! The fun prizes at the end were the perfect finishing touch and made our kids actually excited about going to the dentist. We would highly recommend this practice to any family looking for a welcoming, caring, and truly kid‑focused dental experience. We’re so grateful to have found them!

Fantastic experience: I dreaded brining my 2 yo to the dentist, but Dr. Francesca and all staff were amazing! She made my daughter feel calm and safe, even when she was crying through the teeth brushing. The office is also equipped with toys and surprise bouncy ball for after the appointment so the kids have something to look forward to ! For an experience I was dreading I left feeling like it was no big deal!

Fantastic experience: I love this pediatric dentistry practice! My daughter gets so worked up she can barely breathe, and has such a fear of any doctor (always has). Her most recent appointment felt like it was going to be an absolute disaster from the time I parked the car. However, after about 5-10 mins of her working up a sweaty panic, the dentist came in and she was so patient it was unbelievable. The entire staff is so calm, patient, and kind. My daughter left so excited, told everyone at her preschool (and every parent she saw at pickup), and now wants to be a dentist. Shout out to Dr. Megan for this last visit! Truly has saint-like patience and the ability to build trust quickly with anxious/cautious children like my daughter.

My children honestly left with a skip in their step as if they’d been to a carnival not the dentist! When asked how it went the response was “that was AWESOME. When can we go back?!” Can’t recommend enough.

I took my 2yo for her first dentist visit this week, and to my surprise, it went better than I would have expected thanks to how prepared Dr. Gila's staff was and how comfortable they made her feel (not an easy task when dealing with skeptical toddlers). I was prepared for tears and tantrums during our visit, but Dr. Gila and her team were pros! We were able to complete the dental exam with no tears, and my 2 yo even had a big smile on her face when we left. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a pediatric dentist in Marin.

Fantastic experience: It was our first visit - and our almost 17 month old had a great experience. They let us know they were running late - so we went on a walk. When we got back (due to a phone call) they were ready to see us. There was a dragon with lots of teeth and a toothbrush which our son loved. The staff was super friendly and grounded. Our son felt comfortable and let the dentist inspect all 12 of his teeth without complaint!

They spend the time getting them comfortable and used to the space/process first, and are so kind and patient with the kiddos. I was a bit worried about bringing in our very active and wiggly 2.5 year old, but was very pleased with the turnout. We've been going to the Mill Valley location for a few years with our now 5 year old, and continue to be very pleased. Our 5 year old gets excited to go to the dentist which says a lot!

Fantastic experience: My daughter was treated gently and with kid friendly accommodations. She particularly enjoyed the stickers! I appreciated the effort the doctors took to both educate and encourage us on good dental habits.

Positive experience: Dr. Gila's office provides excellent service, but it is costly as they do not accept insurance. They are consistently upfront and transparent about how much your visit and services will cost, which I appreciate. However, you should be prepared for sticker shock. We keep going to this office because we believe in their philosophy and trust their recommendations, but it will be cost prohibitive for some families.

Fantastic experience: Loved meeting Aspen the therapy dog! It was my daughter’s first visit with Dr. Gila & staff, they went above and beyond to make it a pleasant experience for a 23month old. They were patient and kind and educated us about what the next step would be throughout the exam. We have an older child also in the practice and could not be happier with the care we have received.

Fantastic experience: My 5 year old son had to have a cavity filled and he was so scared!! He would NOT get out of the car! Dr. Megan took the time to COME OUT TO THE PARKING LOT and talk to him. She was so very sweet, compassionate, and HONEST with him! Once she won over his trust and we were inside, she then took another 10-15 minutes to go through an entire “mock” procedure with him, showing him every step she was going to do! She let him look at all the tools and hold the ones that (obviously) were safe, acting like he was her little dental assistant. I was blown away. She talked to him the ENTIRE procedure and made sure he was okay at every step! It was SO wonderful to have such a caring dentist throughout such a scary procedure for my son. Dr. Megan is a rockstar and I wish every child could have a pediatric dentist like her!!!‍⚕️

Fantastic experience: This place is top notch -- professional and warm. My daughters love going to the dentist. Everyone from the front desk to the dentists themselves are so friendly and engaging with the kids. We have sent friends here with kids who are afraid of the dentist and they wish they had gone sooner. The staff share their knowledge and expertise and listen to concerns -- they don't try to push anything on to you like other dentist offices do. We have seen all three dentists who rotate between both office locations and all of them have been wonderful! My older daughter had to have a baby tooth extracted last appt and it was a piece of cake. They made her feel so comfortable, she didn't even need laughing gas to settle nerves. I would not hesitate to refer someone to this office. They just opened up their Mill Valley office which makes it even more convenient for those who live in Tiburon or Mill Valley -- easy location across from Wholefoods so you don't have to fight any traffic with after school appts. I really can't say enough wonderful things about this practice!

Fantastic experience: This is a great dentist with an even more convenient location then their Greenbrae one. My kids love it here. they have TVs in the ceiling a bouncy ball machine that looks like a dog and all the bells and whistles you would expect for kids, just taken up 10 notches.

Negative experience: Placing a silver cap on a childs tooth is barbaric at best, doing it without the explicit consent is bordering negligent. Since leaving this dentist, our child hasn’t had a cavity, in the year we were with these dentists she had three. Curious. Be careful when using this Dentist.
