Fantastic experience: My daughter’s first dentist experience and let me just say they were so gentle and compassionate with her and so informative to us parents. I never felt pressured or had anxiety because the way each woman that worked at the clinic treated our daughter it was like she was their own. Will be taking her back again and again.

Fantastic experience: Jeff Ward is an excellent choice for your child's pediatric dentist! He is so patient and has a great sense of humor which is very important when it comes to children. I appreciate his genuine concern for my children's dental health. He is not trying to make as much money as possible off of his patients, but is conservative when it comes to dental work decisions. He has never pressured me to get x-rays, and is very thorough in explaining the x-rays and procedures that he recommends. His staff are warm and friendly. There are even fun video games in the waiting room that my children love. I wouldn't go anywhere else with my children!

My kiddo has sensory issues and the staff is so gentle and reassuring. They talk her through each step. They got us in quickly for a chipped tooth and helped me reschedule her next appt to fit around school breaks. I really appreciate the staff and their smiles.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Ward and Dr. Platt are great! I’ve been a patient for 17 years and can’t imagine going anywhere else When I have children of my own, I have no doubt this is where they will go!

Negative experience: I can’t speak for their treatments or knowledge because we received no comprehensive plan or treatment. The Dr that we saw was unprofessional, seemed reluctant towards our appointment based on the assumption that we didn’t have insurance which should not affect how we are addressed or seen - we do in fact have insurance. The paperwork had not been processed correctly when I did provide our insurance information, I’m not sure how they were unaware of our insurance status, the front desk workers did not inquire about insurance upon arrival or ask if we were doing self-pay. I had no real conversation with the front desk staff, which is not very personable in my opinion. It wasn’t until the end they quoted me $100.00 for the appointment for a consultation, I told them I had insurance so that didn’t sound correct and in turn it was completely covered. The Dr. talked about the hassle that it would be to try and move forward, like he didn’t want to make the trip to ARChildrens and because my sons baby teeth would fall out soon anyways - my son is only 2yrs old has at least 5-7 more years with his current set - so that it would essentially be a waste of time and money, is what he said. I told his that insurance would most likely cover it so I was confused by that remark. I explained my son seemed bothered by his teeth with occasional pain but he said condescendingly “well, he can still eat right?” Which is wild to me. Of course my son will still eat. There are people in this world with completely decaying teeth that would still be eating even if there was pain because the need to eat is greater than pain from teeth complications. Just so unprofessional in his remarks and attitude the whole time. He didn’t offer conversation to figure out what the problem was or how it started. I’ve cared for my son’s teeth properly, and I believe that whatever we are dealing with is genetic based on innately having weaker enamel. It’s not like his whole mouth is covered in cavities, I clearly take care of him. I understand being tired and having a long day but as a worried single mother, just trying to get help and figure out what to do it was very defeating to be seen here. They ask a history of medical care and we have done things mostly naturally for my son, at home birth, non vaccinated and what not - which I am aware this does create prejudice in some minds and I believe that happened in this case. I’m not against medicine, I have a family full of Drs and Nurses, and I do use fluoride on my sons teeth since he was of age to do so. The doctor’s tired demeanor and condescending replies are what is encouraging me to go elsewhere. I never had such a rude experience with a medical provider before. I understand differences in opinions and that I’m sure he could’ve just had a tiring day but he seemed that he didn’t even want to do the consult. A little bit of kindness goes a long way but we did not receive that from the Dr that we saw. The assistant was kind and encouraging (after the DR had left the room) when I was clearly upset about the interaction but other than that I have nothing good to say about my experience here. I have been able to have my son seen else where and the experience was totally different, they were all professional, we got answers, understanding, kindness, and a plan made the same day! I highly recommend PDAO - we attended the one in Fayetteville!

Fantastic experience: They were wonderful! My baby had a lip and tongue tie and i was walked through everything they would do and everything i needed to do after the procedure. The procedure itself only took about 5-10 minutes.

After listening to Dr. Ward’s suggestion of confidence visits, we were finally able to lay down & have him brush & look at our teeth!!!

Negative experience: I’ve always been happy with the dentistry at this location, until yesterday when my daughter needed to come in to have a tooth looked at. Upon looking at her tooth, and commenting that she could simply pull it herself and nothing further needed to be done, we left with less than five minutes of conversation had. As our insurance has changed, I told them that today’s brief peak into my daughter’s mouth would be self-pay, and the receptionist proceeded to tell me that our extremely brief conversation would be $100 dollars! Having been married to a family physician in the past, I was astonished. I believe most providers would have written it off entirely, but I Wouldn’t have batted an eye about paying $50. However, I was shocked that it was $100. I legitimately wish I had asked for an itemized statement.

Fantastic experience: Everyone is awesome, from reception to the hygienists to the dentist. Everyone is warm and welcoming, encouraging and enthusiastic. I actually feel good about taking my daughter in making a stressful situation much easier.

Fantastic experience: We had a great visit at Northwest Arkansas Pediatric Dentistry today. The office was very clean and well kept, and the location is really convenient. We arrived about 10 minutes early and they were able to get us back before our scheduled appointment time. Really appreciated how efficient and organized everything was!

Fantastic experience: We love going to nwa pediatric dentistry. We usually see Dr. Ward and I can’t say enough great things about him and Dr. platt. We’ve seen Dr. ward several times and he always takes time to talk, give tips, and is honest. He tells stories to relieve the mom guilt and is just a genuinely kind and caring Dentist. My kids walk out laughing every single time. He is experienced and you can tell that he is very passionate about clean teeth!

Fantastic experience: Dr.Platt is HANDS DOWN the best dentist we’ve ever seen. He is absolutely amazing with the kids and parents as well. He is thorough when explaining the appointment plan and makes sure every question is answered. My daughter had to have a little procedure done on Monday and although it was rough for her he did everything he could to get her calmed back down and got it done quickly!! There isn’t enough nice things I can say about this place the ENTIRE staff is TOP TIER!! His assistant was so patient and kind with her and talked with her through all the little questions she had about it all. When you feel ease around a procedure like that and your child being the one in the chair is huge! I had no doubt she was in the very best hands with Dr Platt!

Fantastic experience: We love everyone here so much. I can’t say enough positive things about this place. The receptionists are so genuinely kind and caring. I especially appreciate the way the doctors and technicians speak to the children with such consideration. They communicate everything very well to the little ones, always ask for consent, and treat little humans with the upmost respect, rather than speaking mostly to the adult the whole time. They sometimes schedule “confidence visits” for littles, which are just to bring ease to the child before or after a significant procedure, in which the child comes in for a nice interaction, a gentle check in and leaves happy and feeling trusting that coming to the dentist doesn’t have to mean that big things are about to happen. I think this is sooo sweet and really shows how much they care. The environment is peaceful and comfortable. Low stimuli. Nice lighting. The technicians are very professional and everything always goes smoothly. So much gratitude!! Message to all of the team- you do not go unnoticed, you create a positive experience, and spread a kindness that reinforces to our children, the kindness and goodness in the world, all around them.

Negative experience: Scheduling is a nightmare. Then they gave no instructions on the medication, blamed me upon arrival for feeding my kid, took no responsibility, apparently everyone in the office knows the kids aren’t supposed to eat before taking the medication, ALL of them failed to inform me at all, couldn’t do the appointment, then the reschedule is out weeks…. Yikes… Not the first issue I’ve had with scheduling there. If you can get past scheduling then the dentists and hygienists are competent. Edit: after the reschedule was more than a month out they called asking if I could make it to an opening… EXCEPT they are not flexible at all on appointment time, 8am sharp or no appointment. Tough when you live an hour away and have other kids to drop off at school. So now I have a kid with a bad toothache who has been DELAYED nearly 2 months for appointments DUE TO THEIR GARBAGE SCHEDULING. Edit 2: while apparently my kid has pain, they could only do half his teeth at this appointment and the next is 4 months out… Something isn’t adding up at this place. My kid can’t both need crowns desperately but also not desperate enough to get them in sooner than 4 months out. Will not be returning.

Being that it was only the 2nd time my girls have been to the dentist they were very professional and worked very well with my girls. They had my youngest daughter at ease in no time. They are very friendly and curious to their patients. I will definitely return to Northwest Arkansas Pediatrics Dentistry for all their dental work as along as well are in Fayetteville Arkansas.

Negative experience: Over charges, didn't give clear instructions on medication for the kid. Took off work to take the kid only to be told I shouldn't have given him food (nobody including the pharmacist told me), then blamed me, then couldn't find another appointment. Reception sucks. Dentist is alright. Scheduling is a nightmare.

Fantastic experience: Let me start off by mentioning our family was referred to this office when our regular Pediatric Dentist was out on maternity leave and our child did not tolerate the dentist who was temporarily filling in for ours and got scared - so treatment didn't start. NWA Pediatric Dentistry office staff contacted me the same day of the referral and we were scheduled right away for a consultation with Dr Brian Platt! Consultation was great. Our daughter brought her favorite stuffed animal for emotional support (a Llama) and Dr Platt made our daughter laugh with showing her his Llama socks he had on that day! It couldn't have been a more perfect meet & greet to discuss treatment! Day of dental procedure, Dr Platt was PHENOMENAL with my 8 year old daughter with special needs. He had the patients of a Saint, truly! Thank you so much for a wonderful dental experience - we got our daughter some ice cream afterwards to celebrate!

Dr. Platt and his team were incredibly professional and kind. They explained each step, which helped ease my anxiety. Fantastic experience: We loved Dr. Ward’s office and his hygienists were very thorough. Dr. Platt and Dr. Ward do a great job of communicating and keeping an eye on things. When my son had a dental emergency they did a great job of fitting us in as soon as possible. We had to change dentists due to insurance but we loved our time at this office.

Fantastic experience: We had a GREAT first dentist appointment experience for our 15-month old. They have some games in the lobby for babies to kids which really helped although our wait time wasn't long at all. Our kiddo was so calm and the hygienist did great brushing his teeth with a special toothpaste that totally got rid of some staining on his top teeth from liquid iron supplements. The dentist was really nice and personable. Our kiddo was comfortable with everyone he interacted with and so were my husband and I. Can't recommend them enough based on the first appt; great with babies and still get a thorough job done!

Negative experience: We’ve been seeing Dr ward for the last 3 years, he’s a good doctor and we’ve enjoyed coming here. However, the last visit felt rushed and not as personable. I kept coming here even though we moved a year ago. I decided to stop coming due to a billing discrepancy, when I asked the lady about a credit on my bill she question me having one and I shouldn’t have one. She then asked me for the paper she gave me, and said, let me fix this and now the credit was gone. For this reason, I decided to move my kids to another doctor’s office.

Fantastic experience: The office staff is so nice and helpful. The hygiene staff is very efficient and friendly. The doctors are friendly and make the environment comfortable. Both of my children are always pleased with their experiences here.

The office is readily available to help and assist and are flexible in scheduling. The waiting room is fun, though we havent ever had to wait long. My kids leave with positive vibes and enjoy the experience- which is a win for dental apts :) As far as treatment go, i feel my kids are getting exceptional care & i fully trust their team.

Fantastic experience: After my experience here I would recommend this office to anyone looking for a dentist for their kids. I took my daughter in for her first time and she was very apprehensive about the whole experience. While struggling to get her to be okay with lying down in the chair at first the very kind dental assistant helping us was very patient with my daughter and worked around her needs to get her comfortable enough to lie down for her cleaning. Then Dr. Platt was very kind as well when he came to check on her and talk to us. If you're needing a dentist for your children I think this is the place to go.

Negative experience: I was not please with the dentist attitude with the tech, or way he treated my granddaughter, he disregarded he complaints of pain and discomfort, she is 13, quite able to express her pain but he just keep on drilling, he was very short with the tech, she was 100% professional, showed him respect, even tho he didn’t show her the same respect, I felt bad for her

Fantastic experience: My kids haven't really liked being in a dentist office because of bad experience they have had but they really like the dentist here. They were absolutely amazing with my 3 kids.
