Negative experience: I used to love them. Been with them since they first opened. Highly disappointed they will not accept my 2nd child.

Fantastic experience: they are the absolute best! it was my four year olds first dentist appt & they were amazing with him!

Fantastic experience: We had a terrific experience! Both the hygienist and the dentist were incredibly friendly, patient, and amazing with my kids. The visit was fast, efficient, and made the whole experience stress-free. The office is very clean, and having a TV at every chair helped keep the kids entertained and comfortable. If you’re looking for a great pediatric dentist, I highly recommend this office. We will definitely be back!

Fantastic experience: Love the staff and Doctors !

Negative experience: As a new patient I did not know I could not have my baby with me when I took my other child. I got a message stating that and called to confirm what that meant. I kept being placed on hold and then was told I cannot have my baby and since I needed to cancel I would be charged $50 even though it was more than a 24 hour notice. When I called out the girl on that she said she didn’t look at the clock and wouldn’t charge and then said I could have a one time exception to bring my baby if I didn’t let him run around the office. lol. Front staff is unprofessional. Wish I read reviews first as others have had this same issue. This was sent to me recently for some reason but how idiotic is it to say a small child would be left alone in a doctor’s office to gain confidence? Wow

Fantastic experience: Had an amazing experience!!

Negative experience: I received a text at 10:14 AM today asking if I would confirm the appointment for tomorrow at 10:30 and reminded me that children without an appointment could not be present. I knew it said only one adult, but I don’t recall another child, but I had filled the paperwork out almost two years ago and had my second child within that time. I didn’t see the text until 10:55 AM and quickly called to cancel since I would have both children. The receptionist cancelled but stated I would be charged $50 since within 24 hours-I am floored to say the least, as I had missed that window only by a short period. I asked to speak to a manager and she refused to put them on the phone or have them call me back stating it was policy and that I was going to be charged and that’s that. Unbelievable! Now both my children will not be going there. Hope the $50 was worth the loss.

Fantastic experience: The Best Dental Group in town

Negative experience: A special needs child became anxious during a visit, and it felt like the response was to stop treatment rather than try to work through. I understand safety matters, but it came across as more avoidant than supportive.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend! We’ve been taking our son since he turned a year old. He loves walking in & isn’t scared to see the dentist. Love this practice!

Negative experience: I was referred here for my daughter by our primary dentist, who prefers a pediatric dentist handle fillings and extractions when needed. My daughter initially needed one tooth pulled and fillings on another, and we had already paid a deposit for anesthesia to have everything done at the same time. At a later visit, they recommended that one of her permanent teeth be extracted. At that time, they actually presented it as a choice—either extract the tooth or try to fill it—but ultimately talked me into scheduling the extraction. They also mentioned we could get a second opinion if we wanted. It’s important to note that they do not extract permanent teeth in-house, so we would have had to go to another provider for that procedure anyway. I decided to get a second opinion from our primary dentist, who recommended trying to save the permanent tooth with a filling instead of removing it, and only considering extraction later if necessary. After that visit, I received a call from the office asking if they were still handling my daughter’s treatment. I explained that I wanted to move forward with the original plan and only do a filling on the permanent tooth instead of extracting it. At that point, they refused to proceed with any treatment unless I agreed to have that tooth extracted. I even asked if they could simply leave that tooth alone and complete the other necessary work, and they still declined, stating they do not do partial treatment plans. The entire situation felt extremely unprofessional, and it came across as though they were primarily upset that I chose to get a second opinion. This was very frustrating, especially after already paying a deposit and trying to make what I felt was the best decision for my child based on another professional opinion. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Negative experience: I had a very disappointing experience with this pediatric dentist and would not recommend them. In my experience, procedures and testing were performed on my child without clear explanation or consent beforehand, which is extremely concerning as a parent. Communication should always come first, especially when it involves children. Also, I was charged a no-show fee for an appointment that I had already canceled, which felt completely unfair and unprofessional. Their billing practices also raised red flags. The way insurance was handled and billed did not seem transparent, and it left me questioning the accuracy and integrity of their charges. Overall, this experience left a very negative impression. I would not take my children back here and, frankly, would not recommend this office to anyone.

Fantastic experience: My son enjoyed the front waiting room. They have a motion sensed game and a little playhouse built in. The staff were friendly and didn't take long at all very expedient. They have TVs in the rooms where exams and cleanings are for little ones. A very clean office and inviting.

Fantastic experience: West Haven was AMAZING! They did a fantastic job of making my child feel comfortable and keeping her engaged. They have a perfect set up to make young kids feel at ease and let kids be kids. They are very knowledgeable and explain everything in great detail. Savannah was a fantastic to work with! I would recommend this practice to anyone with kids and especially kids who may get frightened at the thought of going to a dentist.

Fantastic experience: We recently visited West Haven Pediatric Dentistry for my son, and I couldn’t be happier with our experience. His very first appointment a few weeks ago went pretty well, even though he was super nervous since it was his first time at the dentist and he’s only three. The staff, assistants, and the dentist herself were all incredibly kind and patient with him. Fast forward to today, he had to have two fillings done. I honestly expected it to be a lot more difficult because he was a little anxious at his first visit, but everything went so smoothly. The dentist and her assistant were both very calming and reassuring for him the entire time. The dentist truly has a special way with kids. I could tell my son felt safe and trusted her, which made such a difference. Everyone there is so patient and gentle with the children. I definitely recommend West Haven Pediatric Dentistry to anyone looking for a dentist, especially for younger little ones. They make what could be a scary experience feel comfortable and positive.

Negative experience: One kid at a time ? Makes me leave my kid in the back by himself, other kid couldn’t sit in my lap, from office lady very snoody, previous time the doctor got up and walked out because my kid was crying getting his cavity filled. Will not be coming back. Need find a job you enjoy not making kids life miserable

Fantastic experience: As a kid I had terrible experiences with dentist leaving me with a case of dentophobia. It was very refreshing to see my little one have a great experience. The staff was so kind, dare I say fun. While I started our appointment having an internal meltdown, I left actually looking forward to our next appointment and feeling good knowing my girl won’t have the same fears that I have.

Fantastic experience: I am thrilled to share that my son had a successful dental appointment at West Haven Pediatric Dentistry in North Augusta today. He overcame his initial fears and sensory issues to allow Ms. Martha to clean his teeth, selecting marshmallow as his preferred flavor. Ms. Martha answered every question he had, listened to his fears, and walked him through each step. She was very attentive to his needs. He also tolerated the rinsing and suctioning process and cooperated during the X-ray procedure. The staff, particularly Ms. Martha and Dr. Silva, offered exceptional support and guidance. I feel comforted knowing Dr. Silva sees each child as they are, and offers reliable advice and solutions. My son always has a good time in their interactive lobby. I definitely recommend West Haven Pediatric Dentistry!

Positive experience: Today was our first visit to this office for our son's cleaning. He is 4 and autistic so he's a squirmed and can be difficult to work with. Dr Stephanie was great with him and had such good bedside manner. The dental assistants were just ok. Overall we are glad we found a great dentist for our son

Negative experience: Do not recommend. Started taking my daughter when she was 3 years old and they wanted to do X-rays. She has excellent teeth, no issues we do a great job brushing her teeth everyday. We asked if we could wait until she was at least 5 to start the X-rays considering she has no issues & the dentist suggested us go to another place. The dental hygienist warned that the dentist would be upset by us wanting to wait & the way the dentist went about the situation was very unprofessional and rude. Also they don’t allow you to bring your other kids and only one parent at a time; this makes it very difficult when you have multiple kids and working parents.

Negative experience: I do not recommend this location for your child. Dentist was not friendly. My son had an accident last year (he was 4.5 at the time) which slightly pushed 2 teeth back and caused a front tooth to become loose. He went for X-rays over the course of 6 months to monitor any changes. The dentist decided that his front teeth needed to be pulled as soon as possible. My son had no discoloration, pain or abscess. I went for a second opinion, and I am so glad that I did. The dentist told me his front teeth were fine and did not need to be pulled. His teeth would fall out on their own. He turns 6 next week and he still has both front teeth and no problems.

Fantastic experience: We’ve been using WHPD for a while now and love it. Today we had Jennifer and Martha as our hygienist and they are absolutely top notch! So friendly, explained everything to my kids and were patient!!! My child that’s on the spectrum usually puts up a fight but didn’t today because of how well she interacted with Jennifer. I hope these two are here to stay love Dr Stephanie and the other staff too!

The interactive games in the waiting room and the tiny door for him to walk through were really fun and got him so excited about being there. The whole experience was great. I had never been to a pediatric dentist before and was super impressed by how well they worked with my child. They had many options to use to make her more comfortable. Both fillings went very well! I am very happy with the service, professionalism and care my daughter received.

Fantastic experience: Very kid-friendly, developmentally appropriate, comfortable, and time-efficient! Employees were helpful and friendly and we left with great tips for our toddler’s oral hygiene! She is 2 and I think this appointment went better than expected. Grateful!

Negative experience: Dentist appointment was a mess..The dentist was very very rude to my kids. And basically recommended me to move my kids to another dentist. Also they have hidden fees. NEVER COMING BACK

Fantastic experience: Excellent experience taking my son for his first dentist visit! The lobby was inviting for kids with a video/stomp projector & barn with a toy in it. His hygienist was very friendly & cleaned his teeth with ease. I recommend this dentist for sure!

Negative experience: We got a new dentist since having to raise 3 grandkids out of the blue, we were told at 14 to look for another dentist cause child is too old?.. it's pediatric dental, dr. Allen next door still let's our oldest at 18 be seen.. no notice last appointment..just went and they said our 14 year old should find another dentist...we live so close and we are very disappointed in the business...please open more doctor, dentist nice restaurants near exit 1...

Negative experience: Don’t recommend unless you only have one kid or someone to watch your other kids. I drove 45 minutes for an appointment for my twins, my third child had to be with me also because there is no one to watch them since I don’t have family in the area and their dad has to work. Was not notified when I made the appointment that they don’t allow kids with out appointment’s in the building. I received a message that stated that about an hour before their appointment but if I canceled or didn’t show up I would have been charged a fee. When I got there they didn’t mention it until after we waited 20 minutes to be called back. Then they were unwilling to allow my 9 year old to sit in their waiting room by herself while my twins were seen.

Fantastic experience: We just moved to the area and were referred to West Haven by our general dentist. Our 4 year old needed a tooth fixed and had never had dental treatment prior so we were expecting the worse! This place & the staff were AMAZING with her and made the experience so great , to the point she wants to go back!!! They had my insurance all figured out in advance so we knew what we had to be responsible for. Hands down a fantastic place to bring your kiddos.

She was excited and nervous but started to relax as soon as she saw the interactive play spaces in the waiting room. The dental hygienist was so kind and patient with her as well as the dentist when cleaning and checking her teeth. She was so happy at the end of the appointment.

Negative experience: The way they work their system is horrible. If you miss two appointments your whole family that goes there can no longer go. We were late to one appointment and the other one was a couple years back and just because of that, the whole family can no longer go there. They need to fix the way they work their system instead of throwing around their clients.

Fantastic experience: We had a great appointment. It was my daughter’s first time in the “big chair”. The hygienist was super sweet, very quick and thorough. I was nervous because she’s always given a little trouble not wanting to lay back at previous appointments, but the hygienist did great with her and getting her X-rays. Dr. Silva came in and was personable and to the point. Super sweet and sincere, listened to my concerns. My daughter loved her. She was even more ecstatic about her prize for doing so well haha.

Fantastic experience: THANK GOD I finally found a dentist that doesn't traumatize my child. I have 5 children and I've been to my share of pediatric dentists. West Haven is hands down... THE best.

Negative experience: Do not reccomend this place for any parents with unpatient toddlers. My son is 3 years old and came in today for treatment of his cavities. The First Lady came in and when i sat my son she told me i needed to move back to the corner and not near my child because the “ petals “ were in the way. Then made a remark about my son constantly taking off the laughing gas on his face to the next lady that came in i wish i got their names it was such an unprofessional visit. The Second Lady came in told me i can sit next mot my son okay cool i love my chair then i ask if i can hold his arms to stop him from taking it off the lady was VERY VISIBLY frustrated, then she goes into well “ we can’t treat them if your having to force their is down “ then when i tell her that her and the Second Lady were very visibly upset she tells me if i don’t treat it then it’s a form of child neglect. MY SON IS VERY WELL LOVED AND TAKEN CARE OF ASK HIS EODTOR BABE. I will NEVER be back here and will be disputing the $88 charge as we had our appointment at 12 and left at 12:05 INSANE.

Negative experience: UPDATE: Went for a second appt, this time with two toddlers, both patients. My spouse came with me as I was very pregnant and unable to hold our two year old on my lap for her appt. I am their primary caregiver and of course would be involved and present at their appts. The office would not let us back at the same time, even though both children had appointments. It was one adult per patient and we were literally the only ones there, as confirmed by the office. Once we agreed to just cut the appointments in half (after paying for two..), the hygienist continued to “explain” to me over and over why we couldn’t both come back, even though I hadn’t said another thing about it. Would not recommend and will make sure to share this with others. ………. The space was nice and the appointment was quick. Probably the biggest point of frustration was that they called over and over again about the paperwork more than a week in advance of the actual appointment. I literally got three calls in less than 24 hours from the office about the paperwork being filled out. Very excessive, definitely made me 2nd guess choosing this office. Overall it was fine and we’ll give it another try in 6 months for her next checkup.
