Positive experience: My little one did a lot better than I thought he would've. The hygienist was great with him- he actually let her brush his teeth which is something he would never allow. He did fight the doctor though but that's not the facility or the provider's fault. The waiting room was a bit small but it seems to be a small building. It was a bit loud but there were a lot of patients there waiting to see the Dentist. Hopefully, his reactions will get better with each visit.

Negative experience: Do not go here, bad experience. They immediately wanted to crown 8 teeth for my 5 year old, a tooth extraction with a possible root canal. My child gets routine dental care. Very pushy - It didn’t feel right, so we got a second opinion at another dentist, and we are so glad we did. We are so glad we did not go here.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been coming here since I was a kid and Dr.Chandler was there, now I’m grown with my own kids and I bring them there as well and I love Dr. Obebe and ( the ladies can’t leave them out) just as much. If you want compassionate care for your babies give them a try!

His first visit went great, and the staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and patient, making him feel comfortable. We recently returned for his six-month follow-up, and the level of care was just as exceptional. Consistency in healthcare means a lot, and they’ve continued to provide outstanding service. Our son’s teeth are healthy, and we really appreciate how the doctor takes the time to answer all of our questions and explain everything clearly. We’re grateful to have found a pediatric dental office that truly cares about its patients and families. We highly recommend Augusta Children’s Dental Center!

Fantastic experience: I love this dentist. We’ve been using them since my daughter got her first teeth and shes now 6. She’s level 2 autistic and they do amazing helping her. We plan to use them for my son as well when he gets older. Dr Obebe is super sweet and treats you with respect. They’ve done surgery on my her in the hospital under anesthesia and did another one recently in the office and did a great job. Highly recommend them.

Positive experience: Our overall experience this time vs last time was very different in a good way. Front desk staff was very welcoming and scheduled our next visit at check-in to save time after. Our hygienist was great, I wish I got her name. After the last visit that did not go well at all my son was very anxious about coming back, but she was patient and kind with him. It reassured me that giving this practice a second chance was the right decision. The atmosphere was somewhat less chaotic without all of the tv’s playing different shows with sound on. What I dislike is that everyone is sitting closely in one open room.there’s no separation at all and when other parents are there bringing in other children it gets chaotic. It’s also very awkward sitting that close to other families with zero separation. I do wish the dentist would have spent a minute or 2 talking about oral hygiene with my 10yo bc that’s a bit of a struggle with a kid with adhd. I didn’t want to ask the dentist in front of my child, but I wish that was just standard practice to talk to kids about it like it has been at all of our other previous dentists.

Positive experience: Please look elsewhere for pediatric dental care if you are able to. I definitely wish I would have never stepped foot in this office. The staff is nice but the incompetence and poor communication made it a nightmare. Thankfully I have new insurance and can go somewhere. In all honesty, I would rather pay out of pocket elsewhere than to bring my kids here.

Fantastic experience: First of all, I didn't even have an appointment. They researched insurance and reached out to me within an hour to get us in same day. Everyone was patient and kind. They went above and beyond to care for my little girl and she was comfortable and happy the entire time. Also they gave me a pre-emptive estimate for our next visit with a complete insurance breakdown so we can be prepared. Amazing first dentist experience. I'm pleased we're together for the long haul. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: AVOID if using United Concordia and are mil affiliated; their website is inaccurate supposedly and the office will not correct their mistake. AVOID if you expect the office itself to be honest. They are no longer operating with integrity and honesty. AVOIDif you are a previous patient that expects a certain level of professionalism due to past experiences. The office will not tell you that their policies have changed and that they no longer are in-network for you. Dr Obebe was excellent in our past experiences, but would no longer recommend this office due to lack of transparency with their patients.

Negative experience: This place has been one of the worst experiences for me and my child. Phone lines never work. No one calls you back. They blame everything on the fact that they are relocating. Took like 2 months just to get an answer on the phone to make an appointment. If my dental care didn’t require a 6 months exam waiting timeframe I would have went somewhere else by now but I don’t want my baby to have to wait three more months for dental care.

Fantastic experience: My 3 kids went there today for the first time. It was a pleasant change from their last dentist that recently closed. We had a wonderful experience and felt very welcomed there. The staff was friendly and we are so happy with our change.

Negative experience: I am writing this with deep disappointment. I actually did enjoy this dental office previously, but this last experience has made me decide to not continue here, and we will be finding another pediatric dentist. I took the day off work for three appointments, and both my daughter and I were exhausted. My daughter, who is normally cooperative, was having a stressful, bad day (which is unusual for her). Instead of receiving support, the staff acted as if I had done something wrong. This was completely unacceptable: 1. Staff Conduct: The unprofessional behavior of several employees was blatant. I felt like a public spectacle—all eyes were on us as multiple employees stopped their work to stare. I clearly heard laughing from the staff area. 2. Leadership Failure: The dentist themselves clearly thought the situation was amusing. When a parent is visibly stressed and doing their best, they need empathy, not judgment and ridicule from the entire team. The negative and unprofessional conduct here was so pervasive and disrespectful that it completely overshadowed any previous good experiences. We will not be returning.

Negative experience: I don’t recommend Dr obebe! My son had a procedure scheduled where he was going to be put to sleep for a few fillings. I didn’t get the time of his appointment until the day before. They gave me a time for 12:00pm for my 4 year old child which means he couldn’t eat until after the procedure! We make it to the appointment at 12:00pm wait for over two and a half hours. A nurse comes out to let us know he’s still 50 minutes out! He haven’t even made it to the hospital??? We still had two more people in front of us which took him an hour a piece! I think he’s so unprofessional you have multiple 3 and 4 year olds in the office starving. His policy is you cannot reschedule or change your time he will dismiss you from his office. Not to mention his rude surgical tech

Fantastic experience: Absolutely love this place! They got my baby in at last minute! My daughter had been complaining her tooth hurting I noticed she had a hole in her tooth! I called they texted back right away and got me and her in at last minute! Love them! They worked hard to to fix my babies teeth! Absolutely recommend them!

Fantastic experience: I always enjoy bringing my son here for his appointments. They work diligently but fast as well as ensuring that they explain to the parents and children what will happen throughout the appointment. It’s a plus that everyone is kind from check in to the check out process

The dental team were very calm and patient with us, talking my 8yr old through the process helping us get through his procedure as best as we could. Thanks for the tokens at the end of his visit, redeeming prizes really brightened up his day!

Fantastic experience: Great staff. The dentist & assistant were gentle, encouraging, & sweet. My daughter had to get 3 crowns & I baby top molar abstraction & they knew what words to use to not trigger her on getting the shots to numb her mouth. They told her they were gone freeze her teeth & it was gone feel cold & hid the needle so she couldn’t see it, so she wasn’t anxious at all. By the time the shots were over with she really didn’t know what happened. & the let me sit at the end of the seat with her to keep her calm. It was class A treatment & I would definitely recommend them as a child’s dentist.

They make every effort to make the experience one that comforts the kids and nurtures a healthy respect for their teeth. Fantastic experience: My second time taking my daughter, she’s almost 2 years old but I love how patient and kind they all were with her and even when she resisted a little bit to the cleaning. All of the staff were super friendly, and they even gave her some cute little toys at the end to take home !

Positive experience: I really enjoyed this office. I only thing is we still have to text when we are outside before they say we can come in. An one day we sat outside for over an hour and the secretary came out and said sorry and gave me a Starbucks card. I still waited 10 more minutes. When I was about to leave someone came outside and asked us to come in. The staff is really really nice. They always have a smile and they know all the kids. So yes I guess I can wait outside.

Fantastic experience: Both my babies ages (6 & 7) see Dr. Akindeko His staff and him are so sweet and helpful! My kiddos had dental procedures done today and even when I was a little irritated due to the kids not being happy about not eating or drinking his staff helped me out with ways to keep them busy while we waited. They also helped me carry them to the car, and get them situated in car seats. I really appreciate the respect and love they show their patients! 10/10 recommend!

Negative experience: IF YOU HAVE TRICARE/UNITED CONCORDIA, DO NOT USE THEM! Worst dental office experience I have ever had. The dentist is wonderful but the office management is horrid. They refused to bill our insurance properly and then reported us to the state for not getting the procedure despite them being the ones who wouldnt work with us. It has been almost a year fighting to get this procedure done. They would say they would call me back with booking the procedure, never did. I called several times and they kept saying that they didnt have availability. At the 6 month cleaning they were clueless as to why it hasnt been done. They had it booked within 3 weeks. Then sent us a bill of $600 to pay up front with only 2.5 days notice or the procedure cannot happen. I told them that they have to bill our insurance. They said they wouldnt. I spoke to our insurance and they confirmed that the office was billing incorrectly. I was told by insurance to not pay anything and get them to bill properly. I did that and the office said they would call tricare/united concordia and that they would call me back but that it takes a while. They never called me back and then sent me a letter saying they are firing us and reporting us for not taking their medical advice. I spoke to a woman on the phone and she kept talking over me over and over. She wouldnt listen to the fact that I was not at fault and that they failed to follow up repeatedly over the last year. She insisted that my insurance doesnt cover this while I told her that I was told by tricare and united concordia directly that they do and that they need to bill them. They never once tried to call to verify. I just spoke to tricare and they again confirmed that they were billing improperly. If an office is in network then they are to bill to insurance and then United Concordia will handle the whole amount and bill for the cost sharing. These people are messing with my children's health and should not be allowed to be in charge of people’s care.

Fantastic experience: I be embarrassed bringing my kids here because they be overly excited and hyper but Thank GOD for the dentist doctors who works here who are actually good with kids and show extremely amount of patience! They are extremely good with non verbal kids ass well !! They give kids tokens after they are done for the bubble machine! I just love this business

Positive experience: The wait was long, but it could be from the after school rush this week. I don't mind waiting, thankful for a quick cleaning, making it easy and effortless for my child. The attention to details and questions asked are helpful and Dr. Obebe is always kind. He takes initiative when asked about things, especially related to children on different medications so we can protect their adult teeth as much as possible. We waited for sealants yesterday as well, but the staff is always friendly as we wait and the movies, books and coloring books and the coins for the kids to get a fun treat always make their days better. Thank you to everyone who helped our visit this week!

Positive experience: Update: they did unnecessary X-rays that weren’t due for another 6 months so I had to pay out of pocket and I didn’t even know till a month later when I got the bill. Seems like they do a lot of unnecessary things at this dental office. Usually we have good experiences. But today it wasn’t a good experience. To begin with they make you text and wait in the car till they’re ready for you today I saw someone get there and get off right away while I was waiting in my car for the longest time. Then I finally went in because it was already our appointment time and they hadn’t called us back. The lady cleaned her teeth so fast it was ridiculous less than 5 mins and that’s what my insurance pays for? The doctor took forever to see us and he saw all the other patients first that had gotten there way after us. The staff is usually friendly but today they seemed cold and not so friendly a lot of them were just standing around. Use to like coming here but after today very disappointed! The doctor keeps insisting my daughter needs work done when she still has her baby teeth!! An appointment that should have been in and out took over an hour.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend using them for your child's dental needs! The entire staff from the moment you walk through the door is welcoming, friendly which makes the kiddos less anxious, in my opinion. They listen to your concerns, are specific to each child's needs, patient if one is upset and scared and does a fantastic job cleaning and catching area's needing addressing. The kid's get their own goody bag and a gold token for a toy of their choice at the end. They love that part!! Give them a try. You won't regret it!
