Fantastic experience: Great dentistry for kids. I always bring my family here. I can always trust that my kids needs are well met and it’s not going to cost me an arm and a leg. Dr Chad is amazing and all his assistants are great too! Just all around great staff. I already refer all my friends and family here and will continue

Fantastic experience: I’m a big fan of Smart pediatric dentistry in Vineyard! We just moved to the area and my daughter needed 2 teeth extracted. They got us in right away and the procedure was incredibly smooth. Peyton was so sweet and kind to our 6 yr old. Dr Chad was awesome! He is so good with kids and performed the extraction wonderfully. 10/10 would recommend!

Fantastic experience: The staff is always so kind and helpful. My daughter never dreads her cleanings. She is actually excited when she has a dentist appointment coming up.

Negative experience: Our experience with the Vineyard admin/billing department was the worst experience. I contacted them to schedule my son for some fillings after our regular Smart Pediatrics location informed us our dentist there was out of network, but that Vineyard was in network with our dental insurance. After asking them to run our insurance, they sent me a treatment plan with a total amount due of $134, which I signed. My husband took our son to the appointment and was emailed a receipt showing $238 was charged. I called and was told it was because there was a 6 month waiting period so the insurance would not be covering the claim. This was not communicated to me at any point. They suggested calling my insurance. My insurance said they could not waive the waiting period. I asked if the dental provider would have known about the 6 month waiting period and they confirmed they would have known. After calling the dentist back I told them what my insurance said and they said they check insurance through online portals, and that they did see there is a 6 month waiting period. So they failed to include that in our estimate, and when I pointed this out, they did not want to accept responsibility and just said they would not be able to refund me. I am extremely frustrated and find it dishonest. They knew there was a 6 month waiting period and that the claim would be denied, then still proceeded to send me an estimate showing a different total. They said the estimate they sent me was wrong, but that they still would not be refunding me for their mistake. Looking at other reviews it seems this is a common issue with their billing/admin. It’s super frustrating to ask a provider to run a treatment through insurance, to get a treatment plan thinking they did check the insurance, only to then have to pay a different amount because they messed up and they don’t want to take responsibility. I’ve never had this issue with other dental offices we have been to. It really sucks because the dentists here are great but the billing and admin side are so difficult and have made it so I won’t bring our kids here again.

Fantastic experience: My 4 year old son decided to hit the cement face first while playing outside. He twisted his tooth and it was more traumatic to me than him. The follow up appointments have been amazing. Both dentists from Provo and Vineyard have been so helpful, understanding, and answering all of the questions that I had. They really care for their patients and it really shows.

Fantastic experience: Very friendly and kind Dentist and staff. I have taken kids and grandkids to many dental appointments, this is the best pediatric dentist we have been to, in Utah. And Nevada.

Fantastic experience: Very friendly dentist and hygienist. My kid didn't want to go in because he was scared. They were nice and said things like "this might tickle" for the brushing or reminding him he can close his mouth for the suction to take away the spit so he won't gag. He was a champ and they helped him by the way they talked to him.

Positive experience: Today the nurse didn't try to get x-rays for my kids appointment so he actually let them brush his teeth and the appointment run is smoothly

Fantastic experience: We had a really great experience at smart pediatric dentistry. My son was nervous because his cousin had a bad experience at another dentist and told my son about it, so it was a challenge to get him in, but as soon as we got called back the dental assistant helped him feel more confident that he would be okay. Dr Chad was great and we had to go back for a filling and a crown and it went so smoothly.

Fantastic experience: We went in for a cavity for my very nervous 6 year old. Brenna was amazing with her! She was very patient the entire time, which was very difficult, and I was very grateful. She made what could have been a terrible experience much easier!

Fantastic experience: First time parents here and our daughter needed some fillings and a crown. Unsure where to go we were recommended here and I am so glad. Chad and James were so kind and gentle with our 2 year old. We were nervous at first but the anesthesia process was so smooth and they do a great job focusing on helping the kids feel comfortable and distracted during the poke part. Highly recommend, we will be bringing all our kids to come see Chad and James.

Fantastic experience: With the kind and helpful staff members, the calming atmosphere, and the prizes and accomodations for the kids (TV while you get your teeth done? I wish they did that when I was little!), I would recommend this dentistry to anyone. The location is also great for us living here in Vineyard. I've had so many pleasant interactions with all staff members, and have gotten a lot of helpful insight from Dr. Chad on my kiddo's oral health. Thanks so much for making trips to the dentist a positive experience for children!

Negative experience: The dentist used a huge gauge needle to numb my child and did it too fast. We had his other front tooth extracted at another pediatric dentist and they used a super flexible tiny needle to numb him and he didn’t even cry. If you offend the manager in any Smart Pediatric Dentistry office by complaining about anything they will ban you from all the Smart Pediatric Dentistry Offices, even though they have different managers. They won’t listen to your side of the story. Too bad they choose to lose business due to an uniformed and unsympathetic manager at the Provo location after my child was traumatized from an extremely painful numbing shot and they didn’t tell us how painful it is to put a giant needle in the front teeth. My child was screaming a worst scream I have heard from a child for a solid minute as they moved from a medium needle to then a huge thick needle and blood was squirting out of his mouth. It was like the sound of a mother giving birth and we were just as traumatized as parents. The manager said it is not more painful than the rest of the mouth but he isn’t a dentist and a dentist at another office disagreed with him. It’s our first child and we were not told how traumatic the pain might be to our 5 year old who then refused to go to their office and let any other dentist look at him. When we opted for no gas mask to be healthier, they should have explained the emotional risks and how it would increase his pain significantly. They also didn’t explain how important the yucky tasting swab of numbing gel was and we were not prepared and my child rejected it. Our only option now is expensive anesthesia which is much more dangerous than laughing gas. A dentist’s job is to inform us if we make dumb choices not just ask if we want laughing gas and then walk off. It is great they respected our choice but they also didn’t explain the potential consequences and risks vs. benefits. Not too smart for an office using the name “Smart.”

Fantastic experience: I took my son Liam here for the first ever dentist appointment. He said that he had a good time and it wasn't scary. The lady was really nice. He got to watch a show and it was fun! He got a bouncy ball! The staff were very kind and nice. I loved how good they were with my son in talking with him and making him feel comfortable and safe. :)

Fantastic experience: Everyone is so nice and helpful. They get the work done quickly and take care of you. They care about you and your teeth and want to make you happy. Dr. Chad is the best. He explains things really well and is so good with the reluctant kids. The prizes are also really fun for the kids. Thank you!

Negative experience: EVERY TIME WE SCHEDUPE I ASK TO PLEASE SCHEDULE MY KIDS AT THE SIME TIME AND THEY SAY IS POSSIBLE EVERY SINGLE TIME. BUT THEN THE DAY OF THE APPT COMES AND WHAT HAS CHANGED? MY KIDS APPTS. THEY PUT ONE AFTER THE OTHER, I HAVE 4 KIDS, MY YOUNGEST IS 3, I CANT SIT THERE FOR 2 HOURS. I UNDERSTAND THIS IS THEIR PRACTICE AND THEY CAN DO AS THEY PLEASE BUT DONT TELL ME YOU CAN DO ONE THING AND THEN CHANGE IT WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE. WE MOVED FROM THE VINEYARD LOCATION TO THE PROVO ONE FOR THIS REASON AND THEY DO THE SAME THING!!! THEY NEED TO HIRE MORE COMPETENT STAFF OR WE HONEST FROM THE BEGGINING

During a routine checkup, he caught an infection growing in my son’s tooth from a fall he had and throughly answered all my questions. Grateful for his help and care! Pricing is good, too. Also—my sons (7 and 4) absolutely LOVE coming here! They both cheered when I said it’s time to go to the dentist! They loved their goodie bags, prizes, and movie they got to watch!

Fantastic experience: I took my five-year-old and my three-year-old for their first Dentist visits and it went really well! Brenna was really good with both our kids helping them feel comfortable and having a good experience during their X-rays and cleanings. Dr. Chad was great and very kind as well.

My baby has autism and doesn’t let anyone touch his mouth / brush his teeth and we need to hold him down everytime and dr. Chad never made me feel guilty or bad about the situation. He has a lot of experience with autistic children and made me feel understood. I didn’t think there was dentists as amazing as him!!! Also, his work is high quality, my toddlers teeth looks perfect thanks to him. dr. Benson the anesthesiologist is also amazing, he stayed around us talking to us and answering all the questions I had. Very good communication, they are great and trust worthy people and do an awesome work. I wont take my children anywhere else. Thank you dr chad and dr benson I am so grateful for the positive experience I had with you guys and thank you for taking care of my baby and being patient. I can’t say enough good things!!

Fantastic experience: We love coming to Smart Pediatric dentistry. I wish i was taking my kids here since they were young but we discovered them about 2 years ago and have been coming here since. I think love is an excellent word to describe how much we appreciate and enjoy coming to this companies dental center. The staff and doctors are amazing. The experience and services given to my kids is the best part. My kids are so comfortable and never scared anymore to come to the dentist. Definitely don’t just take my word for it, give this dental center a try. You won’t regret this decision.

Fantastic experience: We have been with Dr. Chad Gollaher for a few years now. I have six kids. He always takes time to answer questions, and help kids who have anxiety about getting there teeth cleaned or pulled. I have had a couple kids who have needed teeth pulled, and he does an excellent job. His staff is great to work with too. Kylie and Lexie helped us out today and were so nice and friendly.

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend them enough. I took my toddler here for his first appointment. He was so well cared for, and the time they took to answer all my questions and concerns to set him up for good dental health was greatly appreciated. I had no idea what to expect as they are checking a toddler’s teeth, and was amazed at how at ease they made my child, and were able to make this a positive experience for him.

Fantastic experience: This experience was the most rewarding that we've had, and this includes all 6 children! They are the example the industry should look to. They care and even bridged the concerns between me and my daughter(yunno that 12 yr old in a 7 yr old's body one). They were impeccable and caring and I know they must receive more than a card, cuz they earned it!!!! You won't regret coming and no one asked for my review, changed me for sure! Surgical practice was the easiest and most capable I've ever been through. Thank you to your team!!!

Fantastic experience: Smart Pediatric Dentistry is awesome! My baby took a bad tumble while learning how to walk and hurt his mouth, they helped get him in ASAP to make sure nothing was wrong. The staff was so kind and caring. While my baby was nervous, he wasn't screaming his lungs out when being examined. These guys really know how to take care of little ones. We are definitely coming back here! After a bad experience with a different dentist who wanted to put my less than 1 yr old under anesthesia for lip tie removal during a consultation, I was a bit hesitant to go to the dentist with him while he was still so little. However. I'm so happy I did and that I've found a great dentist now! I would give more stars if I had too!

Fantastic experience: The Vineyard location was great! I usually go to the Provo location which they are great as well. But I only went to this location because they had a sooner appointment for sedation(4year old). And the nurse and dentist were very nice and explained everything as they were working on my little boy to fix 3 cavities and went beyond. They were really good with my boy and were good at soothing him trying to keep him calm as he woke up. 100% recommended. Later in the day he was himself again. I think I’ll be switching to this location :)

Fantastic experience: We LOVED our experience here! It was my son's first visit and he was already so excited to go, so the experience just made it that much better. The entire staff was friendly and so nice! We watched an episode of Blippi (a few times) where he visits the dentist before our visit. That made my son more at ease already kind of having an idea what it was going to be like, which excited him more. He's already asking to go back. Haha
