Fantastic experience: We are so incredibly grateful for this practice. I recommend it to everyone I know! They allow me to book all 4 of my children at once which is huge for us. Every single person on their staff is kind, professional, and great with children. We have been going here for over 3 years now. Dr. Jenna is phenomenal. She is exactly the kind of dentist you want for your children. She’s kind, caring, generous, talented, and professional. When we were looking for a new practice, my oldest daughter had anxiety from previous extensive work. I was able to speak to a dentist before I even became a patient. They answered my questions and eased my concerns and I was so blown away I was able to speak with the doctor that I knew immediately this was the place for us. This wasn’t a one-off situation. Every single time my children have needed work done (filling, tooth pulled etc), I have received a phone call checking on that child by the end of the day. We love this practice and my kids love it too (hello prizes)!!

All the staff is very friendly and Dr. Jenna is the absolute best! She has the most patience with my daughter who doesn’t love the dentist chair. I absolutely recommend them 100%!

I arrived first thing this morning with no appointment but they got her in and removed the tooth so quick i still got her to school on time. Kids have been coming here for 4 years and all have braces from here as well. Super happy with the service and care every visit.

Fantastic experience: Dr FeliCa and her assistant did a fantastic job on my child. They got cavities on both sides of the mouth during the first visit ensuring the parents and child were comfortable. She’s truly one of the best dentist I’ve worked with so much knowledge and professionalism. Update: I recently took my child again for cavities, the service only got better from Dr. Jorge to Dr. Felica. Just outstanding as these Dentist go above and beyond to ensure your child is in good hands. Dr. Felica provided an option to allow my child to watch his favorite cartoon while she worked on the procedure. Dr. Jorge post care was very assuring and done with such professionalism.

She explained every tool in a simple, real, hands-on and exciting way for my son to understand how his cleaning was going to go. She was efficient, patient and made the whole process enjoyable. Negative experience: They charged us a cancellation fees for an appointment that we were unable to make it to. A reminder was sent from their office 48h before the appointment, at the same moment we were charged a cancellation fees for the previous appointment. No early reminders were sent. Their practice is very shady. Do not recommend.

Fantastic experience: The people! The people!!! All the staff is amazing, they care and it shows

Negative experience: I want to start by saying that the staff members here are genuinely nice people who have been very kind to my family. This isn't a criticism of them personally, but rather the system they are working in. It seems like they are under tremendous pressure and being forced to move way too fast, so as a result, the quality of the work has become terrible. Three members of my family recently started Invisalign here, and the application of the brackets was a disaster. They were put on so haphazardly that they look like a toddler did them—they stick out so far that they look bizarre and are incredibly sharp. As an adult who works in a business setting, I am actually embarrassed to take my trays out for dinner because the hardware on my teeth looks so ridiculous. Both of my children were in tears the night they were applied because the brackets were sticking so far into their aligners and tearing up their gums. We had a great experience with an independent orthodontist in another state, so we know this isn't how Invisalign is supposed to feel or look. Furthermore, at our last appointment, after waiting 25 minutes past our time, they gave my son someone else’s Invisalign. They didn't realize the mistake until they called me hours later asking me to bring them back because the actual patient was there waiting for them. I saw his full name and information on the box. It’s clear this office is part of a private equity-backed group (Lightwave Dental) that cares more about volume and speed than quality care. Alpine/Lightwave - Treat your providers and staff better so they can take care of their patients. These are obviously good people who are doing their best in a system where the bottom line is pushing them into a terrible experience for everyone.

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about each visit we’ve had. I’m so glad we found this office!

The repair was flawless, and their ability to make my son feel safe and comfortable during an emergency was truly remarkable. Dr. Jorge explained everything clearly, made sure my child felt safe and comfortable, and treated us with genuine kindness. We are so grateful for their dedication and expertise and highly recommend this practice.

Negative experience: We had a very disappointing experience with this orthodontic office after being patients for nearly four years. My 12-year-old child has been undergoing braces treatment here, and we had consistently attended appointments throughout the entire treatment period. Unfortunately, we were out of the country for about a month on vacation and missed one or two appointments during that time. We received a letter stating that the patient would be canceled if appointments were missed. I have called then when are back explained that we were out of the country, which is why we couldn’t attend and that we intended to continue treatment as soon as we returned. Despite this explanation, the response we received was rude and dismissive. When we called the office to discuss the situation, we were told they would no longer see our child as a patient, with no attempt to accommodate or even have a respectful conversation—after four years of ongoing care. I understand policies are important, but a complete lack of flexibility, empathy, and professionalism—especially when treating a child—is unacceptable. Ending a long-term orthodontic treatment relationship over a short, explained absence reflects very poorly on patient care and communication. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this office, particularly for families seeking long-term orthodontic care.

Fantastic experience: The doctors and nurses are so kind and patient with young kids. They are also very encouraging and show so much care during the more difficult procedures.

Negative experience: While the medical providers at this practice are actually quite good, the administrative experience is incredibly frustrating. The support staff is unresponsive and seems overwhelmed by the volume of patients. There is no option for online booking or automated appointment notifications, which means you are forced to wait for a call just to schedule or cancel. To make matters worse, they enforce a strict no-show policy but refuse to take accountability when the scheduling error is on their end. Great doctors, but the front office needs a major overhaul. Really had bad experience lately.

Positive experience: I am not that happy about today's visit at this location. My two kids both had appointments at 12 pm, and we arrived and checked in by 11:55 am. We did not receive treatment until 12:18 pm, with only one seat available. So one of them had to wait further until 12:24 pm. Even other people arriving later than us got treated earlier. We are on a schedule, so such delay was not quite appreciated. We have been a customer for years, and it has never happened before in another location. Not sure what happened but I think they were overbooked. Other than that I have no complaint.

Our 5 year-old needed a procedure, and as any parent knows, it can be nerve-wracking. The entire team was incredibly patient, gentle, and reassuring every step of the way. They explained everything clearly, made sure our child felt safe and comfortable, and treated us with genuine kindness. Our 5 year old had a super fast recovery as everything went smoothly and... honestly, I am not even sure if he realized that the whole proceedure was more than having fun talking about cars. Fantastic experience: We returned to Carolina Orthodontics and Children’s Dentistry because there were some problem teeth. One where only half came out and the other revealed a fleshy flap after most of that tooth come out. We had a quick visit to remove the piece and for some reassurances. It was great seeing the hygienist and the dentist care for our little one. How comforting they were towards him. It’s always great going there. Minimal wait like five minutes is the most we’ve waited. I love going there.

Dr.Jenna and Dr.Brett are great and their team is very efficient! Chelsea, Jeff and Kendra really made the visit super easy and made my daughter feel comfortable while waiting. I usually don’t take the time to write reviews for dental practices, but I feel truly compelled to share my experience this time because of the exceptional service we received. My twin boys started their braces treatment at the Apex office with Dr. Brett in January 2023. One of them just completed his braces and started wearing a retainer three weeks ago. After about a year and a half of treatment, his teeth look nice and satifified! The other one is also nearing the end of his braces journey. Recently, my sons went on a long trip and the one who had already started wearing his retainer lost it on the last day of the trip — it was left in a taxi on the way to the airport and, despite our efforts, we couldn’t recover it. I made an appointment first thing this morning after they returned home last night, but the earliest spot was in three weeks, and I was panicked, worried about tooth shifting and the high cost of having to redo the orthodontic work. Luckily I requested to talk to the office coordinator. She called me back shortly and was able to squeeze us in for an appointment at 11:15AM today. Since I had brought the retainer mold they originally gave me to keep for free, my son was able to get a new plastic retainer made within an hour — and the total cost was just $336! The original retainer was the metal wire style, as I initially thought it would be more durable. However, it would take over two weeks to remake, so we opted for a plastic replacement instead. (My son says the plastic retainer is much more comfortable to wear than the metal one). We were told that the plastic retainer is comparable in durability and should last for years with proper care. I’ll be sure to post an update if that turns out not to be the case. Based on our experience with the Apex office for about one and half years, I would say it was a pleasure from the begining starting from a free consultation with careful teeth examination and clear cost estimate, plus a sibling discount, which we appreciated. Appointments have always been smooth, and wait times are short. Dr. Brett is calm and professional with great expertise— not overly enthusiastic, but respectful and welcoming. The orthodontic staff, Mr. Jefferson, is AWESOME!! He is genuinely empathetic, easy to talk to, and also seems knowledgeable to me. He always goes out of his way to accommodate our scheduling needs, finding the latest afternoon slots to work around my sons’ high school schedules. This office has consistently delivered a comfortable, stress-free experience. Everyone here is friendly, billing team is supportive for insurance claim and reimbursement, and the ortho techniques are modern and professional. One more thing you may find useful: During the orthodontic treatment, whenever a wire broke, we were always able to get an appointment within a day or two to have it fixed without extra cost. I highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for high-quality pediatric orthodontic care.

We couldn’t made better choice for doing braces for our son than with this team, after 2 years of patient work and all necessary check ins our son got the most wonderful smile and completely efficiently treated very complex protrusion of teeth. There was a little play area for h th e kids when we walked in, and we were brought back quickly after our appointment time. Both dental hygienists as well as the dentist, Dr. Jorge, were wonderful with the boys - kind, patient, gentle, and fun - and they took the time to carefully explain (without any judgement, because it’s hard to keep great dental hygiene with toddlers) how we can set the boys up for the best dental health. We’re so grateful to have found a dentist office that the boys will look forward to visiting - not dread!

Fantastic experience: We’ve had great experiences at Carolina’s Orthodontics & Children’s dentistry for the past four years. They are always kind and communicative. They are very accommodating of kids who are scared and unsure of the dentist, guiding them with knowledge and compassion, and reassuring the parents. My youngest was once that kid (now 7) but said, “that was fun,” after his visit today.

Negative experience: I called to schedule an appointment(found them through my insurance network) and been told that they do not accept my insurance, but also to properly check it they would have to collect all the possible info, schedule the appointment, submit info to their insurance department and wait several days for the answer. But than they just hang up on me…

The Dental Assistant was so nice and attentive to my son , she made him feel so special. Dr. Swinney was really informative about treatment my son would be receiving, and made sure to answer any questions and concerns we may have, they all made my child feel comfortable , I would say it was the most comfortable and calm he has ever been at a dentist office thanks to them , I would greatly recommend this office it was a amazing experience overall.

They did a filling for my squirming 5 year old in 10 minutes, however it would have been done in 3 minutes if my little guy would have helped a little. I highly recommend going there if you need your child's teeth done quickly and professionally. The Team there can find approach to any kid! UPD: Today we did two fillings for my 7 year old who has promptly fallen asleep during treatment :) Doctor also helped wiggle out his baby tooth that was bothering him for a while, which took 30 seconds and my kid hasn't even noticed a thing! Just to re-confirm my previous statement - I highly recommend the whole Team!

Negative experience: Beyond disappointed at the end of my son's treatment! He was not provided permanent retainer and his teeth moved despite sleeping with the mobile retainer. Now it's too late (!!!??) to place the permanent retainer, and he needs wear braces again for 4-6 months and we have to pay again?? $8,000 down the drain because Carolina Orthodontic's FAILURE TO PROVIDE PROPER TREATMENT.

Fantastic experience: I had several wonderful visit to Carolina Orthodontics & Children's Dentistry for my 9 year root canal treatment.The entire experience, from the moment I walked in, was fantastic. The staff was friendly and efficient & Doctor Felicia & the nurse sorry cant recollect her name was not only knowledgeable but also took the time to address all my questions and concerns. I left the clinic feeling confident in the care I received.
