Fantastic experience: I had a great experience at McLeanSmiles Family & Cosmetic Dentistry for my teeth cleaning on June 4th. Trevor did an excellent job, he was thorough, gentle, professional, and made the entire cleaning process comfortable and stress-free. The front office staff was also outstanding. They were friendly, professional, and very accommodating with scheduling and any questions I had. The dentist took the time to listen to my concerns and did a great job addressing my needs, making me feel valued as a patient. The entire team provides exceptional care and customer service. Fantastic experience: My wife, daughter and I've been going here for years, and recently started bringing my parents who are in their mid 80s. Main reason being Nicole, the hygienist. She is truly exceptional, the best. So professional, excellent at what she does, the most sincere personality and always a delight. My mom speaks limited English and has poor hearing, but Nicole took such amazing care of her. So grateful. Thank you, Nicole.

Negative experience: Unfortunately, after being a patient for many years we decided to keave this practice due to the unprofessional staff and decreasd quality of service. McClean didn't even bother to contact us to find out why we left afters many years so I guess she felt the dmsame

Fantastic experience: Very professional office and they always go above and beyond my expectations. Within a few years I've had Xrays, cleaning, crowns, filling and bonding and haven't experienced pain or felt any discomfort while in their care. They were the first dentist to recommend a mouth guard to prevent grinding on my teeth. Big difference! I never knew I grinded my teeth. I trust their advice and give them a 5 out of 5 star rating.

The staff is outstanding and always courteous and professional. Both doctors McClean and Spaulding are exceptional. Their prices are reasonable, and they do not try and persuade you to have dental work which is not necessary. They have a new dental hygienist, Trevor, who is outstanding. He is through and explains everything during the cleaning. Unfortunately, some people are at nervous when they go to the dentist. I can assure you that the people at McCleanSmile make you feel comfortable, no matter what type of dental treatment you may need.

Fantastic experience: My first appointment was for a cleaning. I was seen to immediately and the cleaning experience was by far the best I’ve ever had. Thorough and not aggressive. The equipment used for the X-ray was state of the art. I had a cavity so a follow up appointment was made. I arrived earlier than my scheduled appointment and waited less than 3 minutes to be seen to, which was nice. The office is clean. The staff are friendly. Dr. McLean is truly a family doctor. She’s clear and concise with her explanations. She’s sweet and sensitive for those who may be nervous and she has a staff that mirrors her style and service. The one thing I did not expect was the fun I had. The conversations with staff and Dr. MClean. I don’t like going to the dentist, but then who does. All my anxiety went out the window, I could have hung out there for a bit afterwards. I’m telling my friends, family and strangers in the street. If you want a really good dentist, she’s the one to see.

Fantastic experience: I travel from New Jersey all the way to Connecticut just for my dentist appointments with Dr. Mclean so that is saying a lot. She is an excellent dentist who is very nice and thorough. Contrary to my now former dentist, Dr. McLean took the time to explain each step of her process before doing each procedure and even show me through a brochure and on the Internet what had been done. She even caught something that my former dentist hadn't caught! Despite her busy schedule she took her time with me and kept me laughing along the way. I look forward to going to her again. Fantastic experience: Today I went in to get fitted for a night guard. Dr McLean has been recommending this for awhile. So here goes… the process was totally different than what I expected.. btw.. The young male dental assistant had the best manners. He used this instrument that is inserted in the mouth and it takes panoramic photos of your mouth. I mean this technology is out of this world. Totally didn’t expect this. I thought they were going to take impressions to make the night guard.. you may or may not know what that is … but nope.. it was an entirely easier method and I was able to see the pictures right away. And it will be ready early next week. I couldn’t ask for more. Satisfied customer. Just know that you will get A1 service. Then Dr McLean always comes in to see if you have any questions or concerns. She and her staff are PHENOMENAL! Let me not forget the Young Ladies at the front desk who completed the billing and appointments. So Professional! Love this team!

At the end of the procedure, I was checked up on by Dr.Spalding for further examination. Everyone who works there remembers your name and they treat you like family. I've been going to this place for more than decade and I've never had a bad experience.

Negative experience: Would not recommend! FIRST the girl at the front desk told me I owed 440 dollars and when I was like what no way is that possible I got a text that it was 46$. She was like oh yeah that’s right. Didn’t even apologize or anything. Then I went in because the bonding on my front tooth came off. Dr. McClean did it and it felt really uncomfortable and rough. But I went home thinking I would get use to it no, not at all. I even noticed a gap between them which never in my life have I had before. Also it still felt extremely huge and was making me talk funny. I went in to have it adjusted, they barely did anything made zero difference. Still had the same problem that it looked nothing like my other front tooth. I called to have them re do it. I went in and they told me they were not going to do it because there was nothing wrong with it. They did not care that it was uncomfortable or that aesthetically it didn’t look right. I went home and spent the rest of the day crying because never have I ever had a space between my front teeth or felt something so rough. I am still so upset, Dr. Spaulding had done it in the past and it was so much better than this catastrophe. If you care about your teeth I would not go here.

Fantastic experience: I was going to McLeans Smiles Dentistry for a secret second opinion about dental work I was told had to be done by another dentist. After having my teeth cleaned, by an incredible hygienist, the dentist came in to read the results of the x-rays that were taken before the cleaning of my teeth. Unfortunately, what I was told before was the same … But… not the price! They quoted me an estimated cost of over $10,000 less‼️ Needless to say after reading the reviews and talking to my friend ( who is already a client ) I will be back doing what needs to be done. Fantastic experience: I had the extreme pleasure of having Dr.Patel and the dental assistant Shannon earlier in the morning for a routine fill in. By far one the best experiences I’ve ever had in a dentist chair. Both Dr.Patel and Shannon made it their mission to make me as comfortable as ever. Later on that evening I was able to schedule my routine cleaning where I had the dental hygienist, Nicole. I cannot rave enough about her, her care and knowledge! She made my semi annual cleaning so much fun and gave me some great takeaways on ways to keep up with my oral hygiene!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to McLean Smiles for all my dental care over 5 years. So I trusted them to help correct my smile. My teeth were misaligned from an accident which widen my center gap, and caused a root canal on my front tooth, leaving it gray and unsightly. Dr. Spaulding directed this 18 month restoration beginning with aligners then a restorative front crown and cosmetic veneers on the surrounding teeth. She meticulously crafted and designed my teeth like Picasso! Even sending them back and changing labs until we achieved perfection. I am beyond grateful and happy and would recommend everyone in the McLean offices. They are simply the best!

Her and all of her staff do a wonderful job of making you feel comfortable. I have never had to wait and every time I have had an issue, it has been remedied immediately! Fantastic experience: I hadn't been to a Dentist in over 10 years. Dr.McLean and her staff welcomed me without any judgement. From the women in the front office through the hygienists, technicians and Dr. McLean, all were polite and extremely professional. After a set of Xrays, a thorough review of my teeth and a deep cleaning, I was on my way. I recommend and will be returning the McLean Smiles.

Fantastic experience: Friendly welcoming environment. My insurance was not accepted but I would pay cash for the experience I received today every time. Dental hygienist went above and beyond with my cleaning. She even checked my tongue for mouth cancer. I’ve never had that done at any dentist office. Fantastic experience: McClean is by far the most attentive caring and personable Dentist office in Connecticut. Better than any NY dentist office....Ive been around long enough to know the difference. Dental hygienist Trevor was so spot on with knowledge and wisdom. Dr Spalding (sp?) knows her stuff very attentive is NOT in a rush to move you along to the next patient. Dr McClean you have such a phenomenal amazing family/staff. Much appreciation to you all for my pearly whites that give a double take!

Fantastic experience: McLeanSmiles dentist office provided exceptional services. I love how the dental assistant Trevor was very welcoming and made me extremely comfortable and was very knowledgeable. Dr. Spaulding was phenomenal, I also loved how she broke down everything for what I needed done. I appreciate people who will take their time and sit and help you understand what’s needed.
