Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful experience with Comfort Dental on 40hwy. I had tooth pain and they got me in same day. Great experience would definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: Had an appointment on the 20th of May. I had a tooth extracted. The staff were wonderful. Helped with my daughter (10 months). I do not have tears on my lips or bruising on my face. They did an awesome job.

Fantastic experience: First time since high school that I've been to a dentist(about 40 years). Dr. Lee and his staff was very pleasant and explained everything so I could understand. I would highly recommend them.

Negative experience: If you're in actual pain this place is inadequate. You may as well go anywhere else because if you have really bad issues with your teeth they'll refer you somewhere else, and if they do work on bad teeth they will give you nothing stronger than ibuprofen. If ibuprofen was working out then I wouldn't have come in the first place.

Positive experience: Came in on two separate occasions about tooth pain and was assured that it was “nothing” 6 months later I now have irreversible bone loss unless I come Out of pockets for a surgery. This office is in and out fast money. Please pay attention to your patients problems and X-rays tooth pain is almost never just “nothing”

Fantastic experience: This dental office is amazing! I called up after calling many other places, expressing my pain, I was unable to eat or drink anything and was barely talking at this point, and everywhere still couldn’t get me in for about 2 weeks to a month..I was about to give up until I called this location and finally was relieved to get some help! They told me they were accepting walk ins until 1 PM and I headed up immediately! I didn’t get there until 12:10 because of my drive and was worried they wouldn’t be able to help me very much but I was brought back into a chair within 20 minutes! When I got brought back I told them where the main area of pain was so we could focus on getting the biggest source of pain gone in case there wasn’t much time..I ended up needing 16 fillings and a tooth extraction and they got ALL of this done within 2 hours and I was on my way again! I cannot express enough the relief of being pain free so fast and the fact that they fixed every problem I had not just my biggest source of pain! They were so considerate of my pain, and making sure I was feeling okay the entire time! I’m usually so embarrassed to go to the dentist because I have anxiety and I’m the first thing to go on the back burner when I’m stressed, so my teeth are always in terrible shape.! They still made me feel so comfortable and didn’t make me feel worse about the shape of my teeth, and I’ve had experiences from the other location that made me feel worse than I already did about this before, which doesn’t help me want to get back to the dentist any time soon..but this place is different, they really care about their patients and getting them out of pain and feeling better again. I never want to go anywhere else, they were incredible, not to mention efficient at what they do! I’m still shocked how much they got done and how much better I felt immediately, I’m not joking when I say I wanted to hug them by the end of it! Amazing people and work here!

Fantastic experience: I was a first time patient yesterday at Comfort Dental. Dr Ellis did 5 extractions. It was the best dental experience I can remember having. Dr Ellis was wonderful explaining everything as she got ready for the procedure. It was quick and painless.

Fantastic experience: I called Confirm Dental around 11:30a with a horrible toothache. I was told I could come in at 2 due to a cancellation. I got in and got out in a short time. I feel so much better since I went in. I’ll definitely be going back for any future treatment. Thank you to all that assisted me in my time of need.

Fantastic experience: I went in Saturday morning for an emergency visit due to tooth pain that had been keeping up and no allowing me to function. They were incredibly busy but Dr. Jessica Ellis still made time for me. They got me in back did the x-rays and figured out what was going on in a matter of minutes. Dr Jessica explained that the tooth that was causing the problem needed to be removed due to infection. I was incredibly nervous but she took the time to walk me through everything and make sure I was doing good. The healing process is going incredibly well and the pain is almost completely gone even just 2 days after. Im so very appreciative of Dr Jessica and her team

Fantastic experience: It is always a positive experience when visiting DR. MIKE. He is so kind, attentive, through, caring and funny. The day after my visit on February 16, 2026 DR. MIKE requested staff to text me and do a follow-up to see if I had any issues after my appointment. Everything was fine. I can always depend on receiving "TOP NOTCH SERVICE," from DR. Fantastic experience: I had a terrible toothache and nothing would help the pain. So, I called to see if I can get an appointment even though I have not been there before. They told me to come on in for a walk-in. I had my tooth pulled in less than 30 minutes! Dr. Lee and his workers were fantastic!

I needed alot of work done and some issues addressed and they put my worries at ease and did everything they could for me. They were even there to hold both my hands while I was being numbed up. Fantastic experience: Good service, friendly staff, very accomodating. I felt more prioritized and taken care of at Comfort Dental than at other dentists. They're thorough, and were able to give me a very quick double tooth extraction with no pain at all (still didn't feel great, but, y'know, it's a tooth extraction).

They cared for all three of us—myself and my two younger daughters—and made the whole visit smooth and stress-free. I had my annual cleaning and a cavity filled in a wisdom tooth, and I was in and out quickly. They were attentive to my comfort the entire time, and their pain management was impeccable. The team’s personalities made the office feel warm, peaceful, and genuinely comforting. There were shared laughs and jokes, and I felt completely at ease knowing I was in great hands. For my daughters, this was their very first dentist visit. They were nervous going in, but the staff was so kind and reassuring that they ended up giggling their way through the appointment. They were so excited afterward, telling me, “Mom, my teeth are so pretty!” They’re actually looking forward to going back—which says everything about the quality of this office. The teamwork in this office is truly impressive. Everyone helps one another, and the environment feels supportive and positive for both patients and staff. I highly recommend Comfort Dental, and while they have several locations, the Independence South location will continue to be our family’s go-to.

Negative experience: I had 7 cavities filled on my front teeth I can literally feel the roughness feels like I got stuff built up on my teeth and it’s just the fillings. I can’t open my mouth all the way after 1 day from hurting so bad where the needles were put in had a broke tooth repaired and it’s like he just threw stuff over it. I feel like he was in a rush and I’m not happy at all never in my life have I had to deal with this will not be going back

Fantastic experience: I had a extremely hard time finding someone that took medicade and not being seen by a dentist in at least 10 years I was so upset withy teeth and I knew I needed something to be done when I found this place I was iffy I was scared and tried everything I could from not getting my teeth pulled because I felt it make my smile look horrible but unfortunately I had to get them pulled they were infected and I knew I waited too long but before they pulled them they showed me x rays explained to me what would be happening and had me sign paperwork as scared as I was the team made me feel amazing and comfortable shout out to Mike Lee who really made sure I was ok threw it all would take breaks so it wouldn't be extreme pain on me made sure I was numbbed up and if I felt anything he would stop and numb me more I was apppricicated how they take care of there patients and talk to them while working on them I had two teeth pulled and cavity's filled and need one more tooth pulled And i will most definitely be going to see Mike Lee Again for it hands up to Mike Lee and his assistant on making me feel comfortable and making sure I take care of while in his care i would totally give a 10 out 10 for Mike

Fantastic experience: I went to comfort dental trying to get some dental work done. my dentist I had been going to for a few years were making changes. I went in thinking I had one issue, but after their more up to date check up I had 10 cavities I was Deeply Sad behind this. Carol was Gr8 I was so Nervous I told her but she helped me to calm down and relax and we took deep breaths and I felt a little better and because of Carol Gr8 customer service I was able to get All 10 fixed . Dr Yang is Super she helped me relax and I got all my work done thank you Everything you Do. I Appreciate you Both. I'm going to tell everyone I know how Gr8 Comfort Dental is in Independence MO. I'm so Happy I came to this dental office. God sent me here

Fantastic experience: I have had really good experiences coming here! Dr. Yang and the rest of the staff are extremely thoughtful and provide great care. They are incredibly acommodating with children too, I had to bring my 4 year old and 18 month old to my appointment and everyone was super respectful and even had toys for the kids to play with! I never once felt like my kids were a bother to anyone!

Fantastic experience: Listen, I hate going to dentist. HATE it. Like I didn’t go for nine years because no one made me. But when I decided to be an adult and make an appointment, this was the place I chose, mostly because it was close by and they took my insurance. I imagine my surprise when I showed up at my first appointment and received the best dental experience of my life. I’m not joking. I had to get a filling or two and a deep cleaning that first time, but Dr Mike didn’t shame me for avoiding the dentist and he his staff were SO kind. They took great care to make sure I was comfortable and not in pain. I’ve been back four times since and received equally excellent care (all regular cleanings). Dr Mike and his staff are courteous, professional and disarmingly kind and attentive. If you’re also scared of the dentist – you should give this place a try. (Like this place, specifically – not just any Comfort Dental, they’re all different.) Big thanks to the staff of the south independence Clinic! (P.s. Wearing earbuds during procedures, helps with the noise of the dental tools!)

Fantastic experience: If you need your teeth worked on, please go here! Very professional and friendly. They will work with you on the costs to make sure you can get your teeth fixed and not break your bank. They even let me come back in the day after my procedure to remove a bone fragment free of charge. They also make sure you’re comfortable during the procedure unlike some other dentists. I will be taking my daughter here to get her first cleaning. I drive a 3 hour round trip to visit this particular dentist. Would recommend this place to anyone!

Fantastic experience: Comfort DentalSouth Independence and Crysler on 40 Hwy., is an awesome dental clinic. The staff and Dentist are amazing and they always see to it that patients are comfortable and well cared for. I highly recommend this location for dental care.

Negative experience: Today I had an appointment at 10:00 a.m. The person in the computer at the front. Checked me in. AndI was called by my last name in. Didn't know I was in for abuse. She said sit in that chair. And threw the big heavy xray vest on me and wrapped my neck choking me by pressing on tge middle of my throat. I took it her abuse, but my body didn't want to take it. Not to forget, this is my third time going there after my Tooth filling I had an issue here horrible service, and horrible employees.

Fantastic experience: I have not had any of my cavities filled since I was 13. I had a very horrible experience with being able to feel them drill and hit the nerve due to not being numbed up enough. And it scared me enough to never let anyone near my teeth to fill cavities until now. And I'm glad I did. I definitely recommend if you're in the independence area, to go to comfort dental on 40hwy and request either Dr. Mike or Dr. Ellis. They have ALWAYS taken care of me. I didn't feel a thing this time. Including my face for almost 6 hours after the procedure Facing your fears due to traumatic experiences is possible! Also Mike has a great sense of humor!!! Great job on watching those YouTube videos *wink wink* (totally a joke made during my experience there)

Fantastic experience: Dr. Yang and the other young woman who helped us today were extremely polite and sociable. They were communicative of our care plan and what needs to happen while still taking finances into consideration. Being very thorough, careful and still getting the job done quickly.

Fantastic experience: My spouse and I have been going to this location for several years and every dentist and assistant has been phenomenal! Everyone has always provided fantastic communication, friendly, and made sure we were comfortable during each procedure or cleaning. We’ve moved farther away since we first started using their services but would prefer to keep coming to this location rather than seeing someone new!

Fantastic experience: I couldn’t recommend this place more. I hadn’t found a dentist to go to since moving to the area, and thought id tried this one. I originally went for one tooth bothering me, and had way more cavities than id like to admit. Dr. yang and her assistant were so so amazing and fixed my teeth same day, and made sure i was comfortable the whole time! Definitely go here if you’re looking for a new dentist!

Fantastic experience: I had made an appointment for my older sister who lives in assisted living to get her teeth looked at because they were in very bad shape. This office said that they take Medicade, so I was happy to get her in and getting in for an appointment was very easy. They took xrays, and said she needed a lot of fillings and 3 teeth pulled in front (2 of which were already broken off). I figured they would have to refer us to an oral surgeon to have the work done, but told us if we have the time today that they could get it done for her. I was very happy to hear that and even though there was only one Dr. Working today, she still worked her in around the other patient's and did 15 fillings and pulled the 3 teeth. She also got a cleaning done! I was so impressed with this place, everyone was very nice as well. 5 stars for sure, thank you Dr Yang at Comfort Dental very much!!

Positive experience: Ok I’m back with an update!! (Third review) Dr Mike completely corrected the bad experience. He followed up as the assistants informed him I left upset, brought me back, fixed my tooth, provided my cleaning and went the extra mile!! Also first time ever in the history of going to the dentist and orthodontist that I didn’t feel like I was drowning due to the water being sprayed in my mouth. Jen did an EXCELLENT JOB assisting Dr Mike. I will choose her every time!! Thanks to both of you for stepping in and addressing my concerns!! One time off experience below. (Second review) I’ve been going here for years with Dr Mike. When I called to make my appt I told them I want him and we were coming for routine cleanings. She asked if there were any other issues and I said yes I have a broken tooth. Fast forward to the appointment today No doctor Mike. My daughter gets cleaning and ask questions about braces to her assistant. I get pulled for my appt. I sit in the chair take two pictures, some time later Dr Huan Yang comes to my side. I have never met this lady ever. She doesn’t introduce herself, I’m asking questions and she’s bypassing me to talk with assistant. I was trying to ask questions about my partial and she is talking over me. Literally spends less than 2 mins with me (don’t even know my name) and the assistant explains I’m being referred to a surgeon and that I need antibiotics. I’m like hold up for what. I literally have no pain. And why antibiotics. She says my tooth is infected. And to add insult to injury… no cleaning for me because who ever scheduled the appt didn’t add that. So I will have to be charged for another visit. After I’m already gonna be charged probably hundreds of dollars for this 2 seconds non-friendly/non-professional visit. I don’t see how they didn’t have time to do my cleaning anyway because when they scheduled me they said 2pm was the last appts for the day. Anyway, then when my daughter is done I’m being handed a braces pamphlet by another assistant with no communication from the doctor. I said why am I getting this. She said because your daughter inquired about braces. I said she’s 13 I’m not listening to her what did the doctor say. The lady said nothing. So moral of the story ONLY SEE DR MIKE LEE.

Fantastic experience: I went in yesterday and they were so nice and made sure i was comfortable dr yang completely transformed my teeth thank you to her and her helper ✅
