Positive experience: Overall, they have done a great job on 3 of my kids’ braces (2 of my kids had unique situations and their plan for them worked wonderfully). Montana and Morgan are our favorite techs. They are SO GOOD with their patients, always professional, smiling and encouraging!! Occasionally, Smile Spot is running behind time at appointments, so sometimes we’ve had to wait 30-45 minutes past our appointment time to be seen. Recently, they’ve become a place where orthodontist techs get trained (there must be a local school nearby)….I understand the need to train new techs, but this has caused delays, both in time at the appointments and duration in the braces, as we’ve had a tech mess up my kid’s wiring at an appointment and made her tooth turn significantly sideways between appointments. This was very frustrating because she was supposed to be getting de-boned soon and now she is delayed. No ortho student should ever be on a case without direct supervision the entire visit, along with their work being checked by the orthodontist after it is completed before the patient goes home. Overall, I would choose to go back, but make sure you have the orthodontist check the techs work, every time.

Fantastic experience: My daughter can be a bit of a stinker when it comes to getting her teeth brushed, especially by a stranger. The dentist here and all the staff were so kind and made her feel super comfortable. They didn’t skip a beat when she started throwing a fit while cleaning her teeth and that’s so important with children. They were firm but gentle, Doing what needed to be done in a timely and effective manner. I’m glad we chose the smile spot.

Negative experience: Posting a review about 8 months later after having visited a different pediatric dentist in the area and having a completely different experience. Took my daughter here for her first ever dentist appointment at about 20 months old. First, they inundate you with an unbelievable amount of reminders prior to the appointment. Texts, emails, calls. It was exhausting. I also asked about a clause I saw in their intake paperwork. I confirmed they charge you a fee if you have to cancel an appointment within 24 (maybe it was 48) hours, so be sure to read the fine print! I thought maybe this was industry standard, but after visiting a different pediatric dentist I found that’s not the case. Anywho, we walked into the office and the best word I can use to describe the atmosphere was “sad.” There were several families in the waiting room and all the chairs pointed toward a small TV in the room. All of the kids just sat there, mouths wide open watching Bluey. We sat there for nearly 30 minutes past our appointment time and finally the hygienist came and got us. The exam room was small and kind of dark/dingy. The cleaning was fine, but my real problem came when the dentist (at least I assume he was the dentist) came in. No introduction, no questions, and even acted confused why I was there with my daughter since she was young. It was weird and he was in there for maybe 60 seconds. Then six months later I start getting blasted with emails and texts again reminding me to schedule her next appointment. Was a reminder to find a different dentist ;)

My dental assistant Esther had great things to say and was so helpful! Doctor Marra even offered same day treatment. Although, I will say that my wife is not happy with her because she put Green Bay Packers colors on his braces. Update: she is still awesome!

Fantastic experience: ****UPDATE**** We love the smile spot! The staff is wonderful. I have to brag on Montana, she is so fun and outgoing. Her personality is what makes the vibe so great. She is super sweet and just makes you feel like your her friend. Ra'naoja is quite but so sweet we loved her too! Kendra was working on my daughter and made us feel so comfortable. I can't say enough good things about the staff here. Doctor Bruce is great and very kind he answered all our questions and concerns! One thing I will say is if you get Montana then you will leave there with a smile, she is just so bubbly!

Negative experience: The dentins are good but a worker accused my son of taking videos of another kid then she said "we're not allowed to have our phones out in the hallway" with a dirty tone and got him in trouble when his phone was dead but instead of a apology she walks past him and doesn't say anything at all.

Fantastic experience: Britney is very patient and kind. She helps my Granddaughter feel more comfortable and not so scared.

Negative experience: I was not informed of my child's enamel issuesshe ended u needing surgery because of it now they won't even follow up with her until the bill is fully paid off... They won't even give me an option for payments and still see her do not recommend
