Negative experience: Worst experience ever! Hygienist pushed a service I DIDNOT need. Went for cleaning. That is all I wanted done. She said I need planing of several teeth. Can’t clean until that is done. I didn’t budget for that cost! Left because I could get cleaning done. Went to another dentist who had wonderful, sensitive staff! Those teeth did not need deep cleaning after all! My treatment plan addressed my issues! Do not recommend Nikodern!!!!

Fantastic experience: Nickodem made my first set of dentures, they fit perfectly with no adhesive, wore them over 10 years, they did so well I'm getting 2nd pair now.

Negative experience: They charged me or should I say my insurance for things I didn't even have done like temporary dentures and on my permanent dentures they never could get them to fit like they're supposed to. I finally just gave up. I would not recommend this place to no one

Fantastic experience: Went into the office for an emergency tooth ache and luckily they where able to fit me in. They are knowledgeable and very helpful.

Negative experience: I had to get all my 25 teeth pulled in June. My insurance covered $2000, so the billing manager at the Springfield office said they would bill my temporary dentures to the insurance. I however was responsible for the cost of the oral surgery, they charged me for 26 teeth at $450 per tooth, I only had 25 teeth, 4 bone grafts, $450, and 4 Alveoloplasties which i don't think they even did also at $450 per ( never ground anything down). Grand total to me was $16,200 which I paid in full before procedure. I got an explanation of benefits from my insurance on July 17 and found that Nikodem had charged them for 10 of the extractions, the bone graft and Alveoloplasty, plus upper and lower temporary dentures. Insurance paid the approved amount for the extraction and upper dentures but denied the rest since there was no more money. I asked Nikodem to be reimbursed for the insurance approved part and they refuse to pay. They continued to try to file against my insurance up to Oct. 2, 2024 even though they had been paid in full by both me and insurance. UPDATE: On Oct 31, 2024, I took Nikodem to small claims court asking for $5000 to cover additional things I had missed before. On Nov.12, 2024, the judge found in my favor for $5070.50. Negative experience: I don't recommend it, it ruins some of my real teeth. bad experience!

Positive experience: Great dentist. Great staff. A very pleasant experience from cleaning to crowns.

Negative experience: DO NOT GO HERE! They over charged our care credit card by $7000! And before I caught their deception or "mistake", we had already payed $1000 in interest which they wouldn't pay for. I am still debating about taking them to small claims court over this. To give context and more reasons why not to go here... My husband had a full mouth extraction with the plan to get standard upper and lower dentures. They made false promises that my husbands dentures would look similar to his old teeth that they molded, which was such a lie. They looked so far from real. They initially charged us $12000 on the card and later when my husband went to get his second or "final" pair of dentures, they said he still had to pay over $500 to take them home....when he called and told me this I knew something was wrong and thats when I started investigating in detail the charges. This office had no manager when my husband was going through all this and it was the biggest headache of my life trying to figure out all. You have been warned.

Negative experience: I have been waiting on my dentures sense Dec and this is now May. I understand that things happen but the lady working front desk will not return phone calls and when you do finally get through she is very rude and has more excuses than you can imagine and treats you like you are stupid. I would not be dealing with them if it wasn't for the fact that my insurance has already paid in full last Dec and I have went through this much bull to this point and just want to get my dentures and then I will probably never come back to this place.

Positive experience: I believe this office has good staff and practice excellent medicine. We have twice had communication issues where we hit unexpected problems and were not given good verbal information which we needed.

Negative experience: They quoted my daughter about $2100.00 which was paid. After she got her upper denture plate they told her that that was only a temporary plate and she would need to pay an additional $979.00. she just called them this morning to talk to them because they never did call her back from her phone call from last week... This morning she was told that she needed to pay $1,329 because their "products have been upgraded". She told the lady that she was speaking to that she was okay with her temporary upper plate and that she just wanted her bottom plate. My daughter was then told that that was not possible that she had to have her upper and lower plates done again. We have gotten nothing but CRAP and TOTAL RUN-AROUND from this facility. If you do not want to spend a LOT of money...THEN DO NOT GO TO NICODERM DENTAL!!

Fantastic experience: I had some problems with communication with the girls at the front desk but once I talked to the office manager the problem was fixed. These people will really go the extra mile to give you a great experience. I'd definitely recommend them.

Fantastic experience: They're friendly and knowledgeable about the procedures AND the clerical part. They created a plan for me that shows which tooth needs what etc. I have NEVER in my life had someone poking around in my teeth n gums without getting a blinding, puking, pooping sensation like I'm the most ill person there is. Until now!

Negative experience: Been in pain for six days after a tooth was removed. Throbbing headaches constantly. Stopped by to see if they could look at it real quick to see why it's not healing. I was told they couldn't accommodate me be cause they was short staffed. These people don't care. Zero stars if you ask me.

Negative experience: Took My wife to get new dentures and as always has never been so unhappy with the service we got always recommended them to everyone and it's going to cost more than we can afford and what insurance covers as always she had her last set done at mt vernon and they did not do a good job they were probably made by a two year old so we was going here and it's more than we have to pay

Negative experience: If I could give it less stars I would. This place made me wait almost 2 months to get a cleaning appointment. I filled out all my insurance information over a month in advance. When I was there (already seated in the back) the front desk comes back and says they can’t find my insurance. Card in hand, but say it’s not active. I assure them it is, but I didn’t want to pay for a cleaning out of pocket so the dentist came in to glance at my teeth and said “ nothing looks concerning, you can probably wait to get your teeth cleaned”. Less than a 4 min interaction. I go to leave and they say “that will be $91”…. I said, I have insurance and they said they’d call and work it out with them. I left in tears. In the parking lot, I called the number on the card, where I was immediately assured I had activate insurance and they called Nikodem and had a 3 way call with receptionist to verify. So all good. Receptionist then tries to schedule me for another cleaning, which I was so upset about that I said no. A month later I get an email with a bill. I went to look at it and it had Nikodem spelled wrong (Nickodem) and I called about it. Receptionist said she saw no bills due for me and that must be a scam email, so I blocked it. Fast forward a year and 2 months later, I get a “bill” in the mail that basically says I owe $91 and it’s being sent to collections. They never billed my insurance, they were incapable of that apparently, even though they spoke directly to my insurance on the phone. They’re now saying they mailed a bunch of bills to us, which I’m assuming means via email since we never received a hard copy until this last one. I tried to tell them what happened and they say “there’s nothing we can do” since it’s been sent to collections. If you want a dishonest place with people who just want your money, this is the place for you!

Fantastic experience: The entire staff is really nice and friendly, had a very thorough and painless cleaning and the lady at the front desk could not have been nicer! They make going to the dentist a lot easier.

Positive experience: $70 for a cleaning to get you in the door. $300+ the second time you sit down in the chair for a cleaning. I wish I knew the price change before taking time off for work. If you don’t have insurance that’s pretty outrageous for a X-ray and teeth cleaning. Staff was Friendly, and the office is nice.

Fantastic experience: Everyone at this clinic is super friendly and helpful. Dr. McConnell is the best dentist I have been to. He has always taken the time to make sure I am completely numb and as comfortable as pos My dentures fit perfectly. Once all the swelling was gone and my permanent dentures were in I never had a problem with them.

Negative experience: Wish I could leave 0 stars, I will go out of my way to recommend people not going there. No one needs surprise bills like I got because the front desk people don’t know how do do their job.

Negative experience: Definitely get a second opinion if you come here . Was told my gums were diseased and I needed several rounds of deep cleaning . Went to another dentist and that is not the case at all. They are for sure after your money not your overall care . Also never liked the dentist he never said one word to me just looked in my mouth and ran off . Very unfortunate they are taking advantage of people based off of other reviews I’m seeing as well.

Negative experience: I wish I could give zero stars this place is awful, I had to get a filling done and it was a deep filling. Instead of recommending an extraction which was what it needed in the first place come to find out they decided to clean out the Dacay and just fill it knowing I could have pulpitis since I already previously had a lot of pain with the tooth, they wanted there money though so knowing I had an infected tooth they sent me on my way with some antibiotics that didn’t work and basically told me they would refer me somewhere else because they “can’t perform an extraction when my tooth is in extraordinary pain” which isn’t true because it was in pain when I came in and they number me just fine to fill it. They just wanted to get some money out of me and screw me over now I have an infection from the tooth that could spread to my other teeth and the only place they referred me to has a month waiting list which means I have to sit in unbearable pain until my appointment.

Negative experience: Nope I went here for years and years. If Vicki (the best part of the visit) isn’t there it’s all gone bad. Took needless X-rays. Tried convincing me to have needless procedures. I visited a new dentist for the first time today. NONE of what Nikodem dental told me about my teeth or gums was true.

Fantastic experience: Our first trip there was awesome! Everyone greeted us as soon as we walked in the door and they were all smiling. I took my twin boys (6 years old), the ladies asked them about their plans for summer and how their school year was. Hayley and Chrystal took them back and cleaned their teeth and they explained to the boys what they were going to do! Katie was also amazing she did my teeth and explained everything that needed to be done for following appointments! I would highly recommend taking your families to see them!

Fantastic experience: I had to make an appointment for an emergency dental problem. They were able to fit me in. Everyone was pleasant and professional. I had read another post that the client complained they told her the charges in the middle of the visit, not at the end. I was glad they did. That way if there was anything you didn’t want done, you could say it before hand and not have to argue charges after the fact. All in all, a good experience.

Positive experience: They are all super nice and friendly. Only issue i have had with the business is that the money payed was supposed to include something according to their own figures but when I lost the paper that said it was included and my mother (who had all the paperwork) died from covid am the sudden the other part wasn't included and they wanted another 700.$ for it

Positive experience: Everyone was professional . The staff was up front as to what was going on and what will happen during surgery. They will put in a bottom denture. Two staff people explained that to me. One staff lady printed out the amount that I pay that day. Am glad they explained to me as I had questions. Very professional and to the point. I would suggest a friend to go to Nikodem Dental.

Positive experience: I am sure they get tired of answering the same questions all day long to their many patients.The people at the counter were friendly and helpful. The dental staff answered most of my questions without my asking.I like the fact they had a form for my doctor to fill out. People assume you know things when you really don't. Explanations are always good as to why thus and thus is said or done. Having teeth pulled when you are on blood thinners is a scary thing because of the possibility of having a stroke. Also, concerns about dentures fitting and changing the looks of a patient are something i addressed.I felt the lady was more assuring than ones I had spoken to before.
