Fantastic experience: Very professional and courteous. Showed me photos of my X-rays and dental photos to help me see what issues I have and need to address. Also showed me images of issues that aren’t pressing and can be dealt with later. Gave me copies of all pertinent paperwork for my records. Have some of the latest dental equipment such as permanent crowns that can be fashioned on site WITHOUT the need of a temporary crown first, and then a permanent crown later which would require a 2nd visit. Can provide written estimates of what my insurance will cover so I can have at least a good ballpark idea of what any required dental services will cost me out of pocket. The hygienist was also very competent and courteous during my cleaning and X-ray procedure. Dr. Major was also very competent and courteous. I left the office feeling I was in good hands.

Fantastic experience: I love Ascend Dental. I have never had a bad experience here and the staff is amazing they are the greatest part of the experience!!! They always try to make me feel comfortable and pain free. I had a fear of the dentist but now since being a patient here my fear has gone away.

Fantastic experience: We strongly dislike the dentist… USUALLY …BUT Kayla, Bailee, Dr. Magers, and (can’t remember the last hygienist name) truly did an outstanding job taking care of our three squirrelly boys. They were able to schedule them all at the same time. I could hear the kind, kid appropriate conversations happening all at the same time. The way the appointment was scheduled made my trip take 1 hour and not 3 hours. It was wonderful. We will be back

Fantastic experience: I had a cracked front tooth! Yikes! Actually, it wasn’t too bad. Never fun with drilling and stuff, but tolerable. I’m 80 years old and definitely appreciate the pain free experience. I got to watch the machine making my crown!! Computer screen to machine, very futuristic looking to me. Little robot hands holding a block of material while carving out a tooth in it. Just the coolest thing I’ve seen in a long time. They want me to wear the first one they made as a temporary cause the color didn’t match to his liking, so I’ll go back at 9am tomorrow to get one of the ones he’s going to make late today, with better coloring and a couple different materials. Dentistry today is way beyond what we used to see in my lifetime. Dr Majors is so pleasant, professional and talented! His offices are immaculate and the modern gadgets are beyond amazing. I felt like I was at one of the best dentists in Springfield, (and I have been to other ones that were not very satisfactory). Excellent staff and dentists at Ascend Dental Design! Thank you. Update after receiving the finished product! Went back for the permanent crown early the following morning. And what a lovely surprise it was. Made of porcelain, the color matched with the adjoining front tooth perfectly! I did not need a numbing shot (yay!) for this visit. The staff: Sarah and another young lady worked together to glue the new crown on so quickly and efficiently. They handed me a mirror and I was amazed! My smile looked actually better than it did 20 years ago.

Fantastic experience: Great dentist!!! I was new to their office, everyone was very personable. It wasn't a planned visit, kinda urgent, they were very accommodating to my situation and it cost less than half of what my dentist would charge. I will be transferring there for my future procedure's.

The hygienists are beyond knowledgeable and I have never left feeling anything but satisfied about the health of my teeth. Dr. Magers is nothing but professional and walks you through all procedures you might need or how to prevent future ones. And you are finally checked out by the amazing staff that checks you in. They walk you through all billing and are even willing to spend time on the phone with you to explain insurance copays and any other questions you might have. But from the moment I walked into Ascend, I felt very comfortable...kind words and smiles calmed me instantly!! And the dental work I had done was a wonderful experience as well!! Dr. Murray and his assistant were so kind and considerate to make sure I was comfortable, and feeling no pain! I had a cosmetic procedure done for a chipped front tooth and WOW!!! I cannot say enough about the "attention to detail" that they put in to making sure it looked great and natural....and it sure did!! My front teeth have NEVER looked this good; and I have had this same procedure done numerous times at numerous places over the years!! What a great team with such a family-like atmosphere!! When I left, I felt like I had gotten more than my $$ worth, AND some new friends!! Very professional but with down home love!! They do an excellent job taking care of us! They are always on time with appointments, and they call to check on you when you have a big procedure. You can also get a permanent crown the same day you go for your appointment. A temporary crown is not needed. They make the crown in their office. I have not ever had any pain, even from needles they use for numbing. They are exceptional working with kids as well as adults. We have complete confidence and trust in them with the work they do and the whole dental experience. They are the very best!

They actually showed me pictures and x rays of my teeth to show cavities and showed that one of my wisdom teeth is actually coming in sideways. It was super nice for me to actually see what was going on with my teeth. I also received the most thorough teeth cleaning I have ever had. I could not recommend this place enough, my experience here was wonderful.

After getting new insurance, Acsend was able to get us scheduled an into the office in a timely manner after the new year. Dr. Murray filled two cavities on my six year old with tender care. Fantastic experience: After spending a lot of money on my lower teeth and was told I would have to spend more on some procedures I had just done I decided to switch dentist and Ascend Dental was highly recommmened I set up a consultation with Dr Dorman after meeting with Dr Dorman and getting an evaluation he recommended that all five crowns to be replaced. Most had decay under the crowns. I asked about the length of time to get this accomplished and he broke this out into three sessions. I asked if it was possible for him to do all five in one visit. He said it was and we scheduled the appointment.. here it is now 24 hours after the replacement of crowns. Each and everyone of the crowns fit perfectly no high spots no off center just perfect. No soreness whatsoever which amazes me..I would highly recommend Ascend Dental for your dental needs…First Class Operation..

Dr. Magers did exceptional! Beautiful work! I also had a check up, and needing a lot of dental work, they again delivered phenomenal bed side manner and customer service. I’m so impressed from the moment that I walk in the door until I leave with the customer service and care! Fantastic experience: Today was my first visit to Ascend Dental Design. I was a bit apprehensive, having decided to change dental practices after more than 15 years. The decision to change could not have been better rewarded. From the kind and helpful folks in reception to my new favorite dental hygienist, I felt welcomed, appreciated, listened to, and professionally cared for. The evaluation was thorough, and the treatment recommendations sound. They've earned my trust. The facilities and equipment are top-notch, just like everyone I encountered there. A 5-star first impression. Today may have been my 4th or 5th visit (second cleaning); staff continues to excel at being friendly, kind, competent, and helpful. Still rate 5 stars! Teeth cleaning is one thing; tooth removal is in a completely "other" category. Ascend Dental still rates 5 stars: from the cheerful and friendly front desk to the nicely appointed exam room, they know their stuff, and they know how to treat patients with cheerful compassion. A couple years in, and still nothing but good things to say about the staff, and the work they do. I am glad to have them as my dental caregivers.

Fantastic experience: I usually don’t leave reviews, but I feel like with Ascend I have to. I have always HATED the dentist, but with Dr Magers and ALL of the techs I have absolutely LOVED my experience here. I’ve always been super anxious with the dentist but when I found Ascend, I actually enjoy my experience. They got me in originally for a root canal that was causing excruciating pain. They got me in within a week or two and did great work. I called plenty of other places, the receptionist here, Connie, was the sweetest out of everyone and they were the best scheduling options, every other place was at least a month out. They’ve done all my dental care since, and my teeth have never been in better shape. I’ve had an emergency root canal at another endodontist and they complimented how well Ascend did all my previous work. They go above and beyond every single time whether it’s a root canal, filling, or just a cleaning. Their attention to detail and check ins to make sure I’m not in pain is unlike any other dentist I’ve been to. I get laughing gas to help with my nerves, they remember who I am whenever I show up, they give me a chapstick each time, remember what trips I have gone one and what I’ve been up to, and when it’s cold they offer blankets. I highly recommend them and I’m glad to say they’re my dentist!

Fantastic experience: Ascend is an excellent dental practice. I just completed my first check up with them and they really impressed me with their thoroughness. Besides the normal x-rays, they took digital photos of my teeth and then took the time to go over their recommendations while showing me the issues on a computer monitor. Fantastic experience: A team that truly cares about your dental health. I first used Ascend Dental almost five years ago. They helped diagnose a serious toothache and recommended an oral surgeon to extract it, along with my wisdom teeth. Fast forward to a year ago. I hadn't been to the dentist in a couple of years, but I had a new job that finally offered dental insurance. I went to the first one on the list that my insurance recommended (which wasn't Ascend). Before I can continue, a little backstory on my dental health. Growing up, I've almost always had bad teeth. My front teeth had weird grooves in them that stained badly. Most of the dentists my parents took me to always blamed it on me and my parents for not taking care of my teeth (even though I brushed regularly). With that being said, trying to find out what was wrong with my tooth and how to fix it was high on my list in going back to the dentist, and was something I brought up with my new dentist. My first appointment was a simple cleaning and some X-rays. However, for the second appointment, they switched me to a new doctor who was incredibly unprofessional. Not only did the state of my teeth completely surprise her (even though they already had a lot of info on them), but she then asked to take pictures of my teeth with her personal iPhone to show her friends. Needless to say, nothing about her reaction gave me any confidence that she would be able to help. After that fiasco, I decided to look a bit deeper into a new dentist instead of just the insurance-recommended one. It turned out that Ascend Dental was actually in network. Around this same time, another tooth started aching, so I scheduled an appointment with them to get things checked out. When I came in, I met with Janelle, a dental assistant at Ascend. That first meeting back with her blew my mind. She had pulled up my records with them from years before and studied them beforehand. She was able to speak with intelligence and confidence about the current state of my dental health. I was so impressed and thankful that I was finally working with people who truly cared about their patients. The rest of the journey from then to today wasn't easy. Dr. Dorman was able to successfully diagnose me with a hereditary condition known as Amelogenesis imperfecta. This condition essentially means my teeth formed with abnormal enamel, which means they have much less protection. Dr. Dorman recommended that I get a dental crown on each tooth. While this is an expensive option, it was the best for my long-term dental health. Without something like this, I would eventually lose all my teeth due to the weak enamel or pull them all and go with dentures. Fast forward to today. I just finished the last appointment to install the crowns on my molars, and I couldn't be happier. Not only are my teeth in the healthiest state they've been in my life, but they look normal. No more pits and stains. I can show my teeth now without being incredibly embarrassed. I also couldn't be happier with the decision to work with Ascend on all this major work. For anyone who's had crowns installed knows it's a fairly invasive operation. Getting an entire mouth of them at once is even more so. They were incredibly patient with me and did their best to make me comfortable. To show even more how much they care, at my last appointment, Dr. Dorman handed me a signed card thanking me for letting them help me with all this. This card also had some gift cards to some of my favorite places in town that we had talked about in some small chit chat at some point. In closing, I just want to say that I can't recommend Ascend Dental enough. They strive for excellence, and it shows. It shows in the work they do and in the care they put into each of their patients. I don't see how I could go to any other dentist after this.

Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful experience at Ascend Dental Design! Nicole was my hygienist today and did a super job! She remembered I get cold easily and had a fluffy blanket ready for me! It was a total pain free experience and my teeth felt so clean and sparkly! Nicole was very gentle with the X-rays as well! Dr. Dorman did a thorough exam as usual and has done some beautiful cosmetic work for me in the past! If you want the best care ever come to Ascend Dental Design!

Fantastic experience: Over the weekend I discovered I had a loose bridge. I called first thing this morning and was able to get an appointment this afternoon. We've been patients of Dr Dorman's for 35 years and once again he saved next week's vacation by replacing my bridge. The staff are all competent and congenial. They have been taking wonderful care of our family down to the grandchildren!

If you have a family (and teeth), I highly recommend Ascend. Though I'm saddened by Carol's retirement, I know the rest of the team will pick up the mantle. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Nowhere in the Ozarks will you get the blend of professionalism & personal attention in dentistry. The attentive staff and friendly, comfortable surroundings are only exceeded by Ascend's utter dedication to continuous learning and improvement. If you want cheap fillings, there are dozens in the area. If you want 'next level' care, get to Ascend.

Fantastic experience: I got a root canal and I felt like I had fallen asleep during. They made me feel so comfortable. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Before my root canal the prescription I originally got wasn't working I was in so much pain so I called they wrote me a new prescription right away. These people care about your comfort.

Fantastic experience: As someone who has had a lot of dental work done from a kid and in my adult years, it was refreshing to have a dentist office listen to your concerns as well as explain things and willing to work with you as a patient and reassured there is no judging. Just willing to keep a happy healthy smile happen in the works. Making Ascend my permanent dental family was a 5 star move a few years back and Im grateful to have a caring dental office that makes you feel at ease as much as possible.
