Fantastic experience: Amazing amazing amazing!!.. great customer service. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Warm atmosphere. Karen was great with my cleaning and made me feel very comfortable and at ease. Even down to billing. Everything was well explain and reasonable. If you’re looking for a great dentistry with just as great staff, The Foleck Center Norfolk is just the place for you.

Negative experience: i went here a while ago & the woman that saw me before the actual dentist was rude and the dentist saw/spoke to me for about 15 seconds max and was not very friendly.. the only pleasant person was the front desk lady would not recommend or go back to this place since there are plenty of other dental offices in the area

Fantastic experience: Dr. Dano fit me in the same day my provisional crown popped off, which I am very thankful for. He also showed me what to purchase in a pinch should this happen again! They were clearly very busy this day but Ms.Selena stepped in when the other assistant who was supposed to be helping me was unavailable. Selena was wonderfully helpful in getting me prepped. She was kind, quick, and made sure to check up on me throughout my visit. Once again, a great experience at The Foleck Center!

Fantastic experience: Super great practice!! They make you feel very comfortable and keep you informed the entire time. They're always very kind and answer all my questions. Can't thank them enough! Edit: Sept. 2025 After 1-2 years hiatus, things are a bit different but it’s still a decent practice. i wish they offered financing through their office for invisalign but they do not. the doctor is funny and all of the hygienists ive seen are great. i would generally recommend.

Negative experience: Just go somewhere else. Had composite put on a small chip in my front tooth, the dentist put a color that didn't match and was so visibly off. I went back for it to be corrected, very average job done. And it has fallen off by now... super long wait times too. Do yourself a favor and don't come here.

Positive experience: Reallly good dental services. I had the pleasure of being seen by Ziah and Dr. Dano today and they were both very professional! I highly recommend The Foleck Center.

Fantastic experience: No one wants a root canal… but sometimes you really need one. The Foleck team wasn’t just where I had to be—it was where I wanted to be! Normally, the thought of going to the dentist spikes my anxiety, but Dr. Dano (a.k.a. the singing dentist) made the experience surprisingly comforting. His assistants aren’t background singers, but they definitely harmonize with him in the best way. Zariah was gentle, communicative, and so attentive throughout the process. This team is truly the BEST!

Negative experience: I PAID HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS OUT-OF-POCKET FOR A SECOND OPINION WITH A DENTAL PROFESSOR IN NEW YORK CITY. SHE THOROUGHLY REVIEWED MY CASE, AND WROTE A LETTER DISCLOSING THAT I DID NOT HAVE ANY INFECTIONS ON ALL 12 IMPLANTS. MY TIME AND, MONEY WAS WASTED, IN ADDITION TO THE ADDED, STRESS, AND MY OWN EXHAUSTIVE RESEARCH. I AM WONDERING HOW MANY PEOPLE THEY HAVE SWAYED TO SPEND MORE MONEY. PEOPLE IN THE NEXTDOOR APP, UNDER MY NEGATIVE REVIEW SAY SO. THEY WERE TRYING TO MANIPULATE ME WITH SALES DRIVEN TACTICS.

Fantastic experience: I've been a patient of the Foleck Center for 20+ years. I recently had a root canal and crown replacement by Dr. Maroon. He was quick, friendly and explained everything that was going on. His assistant was awesome too. The new crown fits like a glove. It was made to perfection.

Positive experience: Hygienists are always pleasant and professional, and Dr. Foleck has good bedside (chairside?) manner. Not a fan of all the extra money I'm asked to spend on New Dental Advancements every visit, but business is business. Would not recommend seeing Dr. Maroon, though--he was uneccessarily rude about my oral health and kind of fearmongery about it. Everything was smooth when I saw Dr. Foleck himself, though!

Negative experience: Pretty good dental office in the area! 2 stars because of the amount of times my appointments have been rescheduled on fridays. The first time okay the second and so on should I not even book an appointments on Fridays going forward because they never have the staff. It’s really upsetting when I take time out my schedule for the appointment just for me to get a call to reschedule over and over again.

Negative experience: I've had good and absolutely terrible cleanings here. I opted not to have fillings done here because the dentist didn't have time to explain what he was going to do in a way that I understood. They seemed way too rushed. The billing department is impossible to reach on any day, at any time.

Negative experience: My wife went in for a bonding issue. The bonding came off just days after the appointment. We had to pay more than $1,500 and they are refusing to remedy the issue. We’re not even asking for a refund. We just want them to fix the mistake. A complete scam move.

Fantastic experience: This team is freakin' amazing - from how customer friendly everyone is to the entertaining staff. Ashley is a sweetheart and is so easy to speak with. She will help in any way she can. Heather is just the life of the party- she is everywhere and can do everything. She makes my visits enjoyable. And Dr. Dano...what can I say about this dental artist, except he is a master in his craft. He will not be content until his patient is happy and he knows he's done his best to accommodate. He tries to sing (bless his heart), but doesn't always succeed. But for 10¢, Heather can get you some cotton balls for your ears But in all honesty - the staff has made dental visits easier to endure and not something to dread. I couldn't have picked a better place.

Fantastic experience: Hello my name is Cheryl Today on February 14 2025, I had my tooth extracted and bone replaced. Dr Maroon was the doctor who preformed the surgery. The surgery was excellent! Fantastic experience: I've been going to the Foleck Center for over 5 years now, and they've always been super friendly, ready to help you out in any way they can, and they just provide the most welcoming atmosphere! From the receptionist to the Doctors.....everyone has been amazing! Eric, Dr. Dano, Karen, Aston, and Dr. Maroon are definitely my top favorites!

Negative experience: I have been going to the Foleck Center for seven years, and customer service has declined markedly in the past year. I had an appointment in November to pick up my night guard and I showed up and they were closed--they didn't even bother to call me to cancel the appointment. They called after and said "it was kind of a last minute thing" that they closed. Then I rescheduled for December and they closed again. At least they called me this time, but still frustrating. I showed up for that appointment in January (this is now a two-month ordeal to pick up a night guard) and I waited 40 minutes to been seen. I ended up walking out and rescheduling again because I have a life and other appointments and waiting 40 minutes to be seen when I made an appointment is unacceptable. I am going to have to find a new dentist because the customer service at the Foleck Center is totally unacceptable .

Fantastic experience: I love the Foleck Center. Karen is an absolute Angel, so wonderfully attentive w my teeth and so kind. Eric is exceptional! He is patient, professional, and so kind hearted! Dr. Dano was also equally awesome! Patient and empathetic!

Fantastic experience: We are beyond grateful for the hospitality of the Foleck center in Norfolk, Virginia. Everyone was super helpful from Dr. Macoon, Ziah dental assistant, and Aston. We do not have Health Insurance and Aston brought to my attention that they have in-house dental insurance and their insurance worked out perfectly. Both my daughters were able to get a composite filling, x-rays cleanings. It didn’t only just work for them. It worked for all four of us we are extremely grateful.

Decided to try them out and they did not disappoint. Lobby Staff is extremely professional and friendly. As well as the medical staff. Dr. Dano was very thorough. But Eric Hinton was by far my favorite person. He made my visit memorable , made sure I was comfortable and was overall amazing. If I could go every week I would just to see them.

Fantastic experience: Dr.Dan & Eric are a really good team! I had anxiety about being at the dentist.. They made it very quick and comfortable for me. Eric is very funny and he has improved his craft since the from time I came there.. I am not a fan of the Virginia Beach location but the Norfolk location is much friendlier and hospitable.

Fantastic experience: Had a bit of a dental emergency that needed repair ASAP. I walked in without an appointment, and was in the dentist chair 10 minutes later. Heather the hygienist and Dr. Dano the dentist worked to make the needed repair. I was in and out in 30 minutes. Negative experience: Me and my husband,mom scheduled an appointment early so 3 of us can be seen that day.I got a text that they just cancelled our appointment.I called and they said,The owner decided to close all the locations that day. We have a job and kids.We take a vacation so we can came that day.Very Irresponsible owner not thinking about his patients has a life and a job that I cannot just take off whenever I want.

Fantastic experience: I feel right at home with Dr. Dano and his team, and that is a lot to say if a person has to spend their entire day at the dentist office getting surgery. Without going into detail about my situation ( besides having an extraction, ooops I said it!) I know that Dr. Dano has my back and knows how to assure my dental health and unfortunate dental needs moving forward. I have a good year worth of work ahead. I also know the assistants have my back while answering all my questions and assuring me that the procedure will go as planned and I do not have to be stressed. Fantastic experience: I am new to the area, in search of a new dentist, and I found Foleck. I can wholeheartedly say that this is a great practice. They took my concerns seriously and did extensive scans and evaluation to address them. Dr. Maroon sat with me as we went through my scans so I would understand my treatment plan. He ensured that if I had any questions/concerns, that they were addressed. I wish I knew about the Foleck center before I started my Invisalign journey but still happy to have them now.

Fantastic experience: Daughter’s (15 month) first visit to the dentist. Could not be more impressed! From the moment we walked in the door, to the moment we left, everyone was very friendly and went above and beyond to help her be comfortable and happy. Toys, smiles, sign language, glove balloons, Winnie the Pooh, involving her toys in the experience, giving her breathing room, even knowing to put on Bluey when she got nervous. Very thankful for such a kind group of folks and great experience! Fantastic experience: I hadn’t been to a dentist in almost a 2 years and I was so anxious before my procedure, so much so I was in tears. I expressed to the Dr. Langham and Nicole my concerns and all of my anxieties and nicole advocated for me and Dr. Langham was extremely thorough and explained each step. It was very comforting that my anxieties were acknowledged and addressed immediately. They did not operate on my teeth until I was comfortable and they tested all my sensitivities prior to even starting. I am extremely happy with my appointment today and I’m definitely going to be coming here for a long time. Thank you so much Dr. Langham, Nicole and Whitney!! You guys are the best!

Negative experience: Cancelled my appointment twice after having already checked in at the front desk. Incorrectly billed me for an extra service they did not provide and have not responded to my multiple emails and calls to correct the problem.

Fantastic experience: THIS DENTIST OFFICE, CARES!! I recently moved here from Chicago to assist my mother. A part of this being addressing her health concerns. One of which being her dental which has went without care for 23 years unfortunately... Humana is her insurance provider which apparently is sparsely accepted in the 7 cities area, but we were able to lock down this office. The staff there took excellent care of my mother during our time there, allowing me to be there with her while they worked on examining her and doing their very best to create not only a professional environment, but a nuturing one(often times I feel those in the medical field can forget bedside manner is a part of the job, they understand this!) At the conclusion of the visit I was still left with a daunting task of locating an oral surgeon that would be supported by my mothers insurance... The Dental Coordinator ~ Brandi, called my mother and I to the back office before leaving and took it upon herself to shoulder the heavy workload of locating a proper oral surgeon that would also be supported by my mother's not-so-great insurance . Through her hardwork and effort she located one of the best of the best in her opinion, and now my mother is getting fast tracked to getting the proper care she needs. I could not recommend this office enough, and if you're looking for a dentist office that actually CARES about their patients then you've reached the right place. Thank you Dr. Maroon, Dr. Dano, Gabriel, Donnely, the dental assistants with Dr. Maroon, the tall gentleman that gave my mother a fist bump to help her feel more at ease!... And most especially.. BRANDI!!

Fantastic experience: I recently had my teeth cleaned by Karen, and it was an amazing experience overall. I use to get anxiety about cleaning because it would hurt, but I had no pain and my teeth look great. She even took a few X-rays that were painless. She’s definitely my favorite hygienist to see!

Fantastic experience: I have been avoiding dental care during to previous bad experiences. I LOVEEEEEE the staff here and Dr Marron is patient, kind and understanding. He will work with you for the best plan to meet your needs with care and concern. My hygienist Karen is very gentle and calmed my fears. She gave me a weighted blanket and I never even felt her scaling. Donally( office manager) always explains mu billing and make sure evis correct before I leave. Again I can't sing their praises enough!! If you need dental care and are afraid RUNNNNNNN thay are the best!!!!

Fantastic experience: Dr Dano and Erick made me as comfortable as you can for a root canal and all the staff here was really nice, the lady that went over everything with me at the end was also super sweet! My only complaint is the receptionist. I first called to get directions which he wasn’t the most helpful with and as someone new to VA and had never been in the area I was LOST & would’ve appreciated more description or directions but that’s okay no big deal honestly I was eventually able to work with what he did give me & he may not have the best sense of direction himself so i let it roll off… My issue came when after almost being 10 mins late for my appointment from driving around in circles and because I knew they had moved some appts around to get me in asap I was a little stressed & when walking in I wanted to make sure I was parked somewhere I was allowed to, so when I walked in I simply asked “Hey i saw the sign said 15 mins I wanna make sure I can park right there” the response i got “*sigh* Your just gonna have to watch you car ma’am, that’s the best we can do” I expected a simple “Oh yeah your good” & at most “Oh yeah you’re fine, there is a time limit though so you just wanna keep an eye out” but honestly it wasn’t what was said but the way he said it as if my simple yes or no question had thrown his whole day off.. I have severe anxiety and my nerves were already bad & that just pushed my emotions over the edge, and I started crying, i even lied to the sweet lady (Kiara? I apologize for misspelling) that my tears were from pain when ultimately I was just emotionally falling off a cliff & didn’t wanna make it a bigger issue. I’m an insurance agent for a large company, I talk to over 40+ different people a day for over 9hours from all over the country I know what customer service should and can be and his could be better.. Regardless I’m not taking stars away from everyone else because he was having a bad morning.

Negative experience: I called to make an appointment for a teeth cleaning, my appointment was scheduled for I think about 3 weeks to a month later which was fine, but when I got to the appointment I got routine questions like when was your last cleaning etc. This left me with the impression that I would be getting a cleaning like I asked for. Instead, I got x-rays for my teeth, ok, normal, but then before I knew it, they were trying to sell me partials, implants and only God knows what else. I said to myself, maybe they will begin the cleaning after this. Let me tell you, I never got the cleaning, and none of the staff seemed to realize that there was a problem. Yes the staff was great, so this is not an issue with professionalism nor customer service. Its the fact that I didn't get what I was there for. I had already told the scheduler why I needed the appointment. I then reiterated why I was there when I arrived. It was the strangest thing. Why did I stay you may ask? Again, since I had already told the scheduler why I needed the appointment, I thought that once we were done with the x-ray the cleaning would begin If I just be patient. To date, no one has called me to ask if I wanted/needed that cleaning, as though I never asked for it when I made the initial appointment, and then told them again when I was seated. Oh, I did get a bill for something I didn't ask for though. Funny thing is I do have plans to get dental work done, but now I am insulted and offended that they seem to be clueless of what has happened. It is the very reason why I never bothered to call to tell them. Also, The doctor was a very nice guy, but the bookkeeper was clearly annoyed when I asked insurance questions. At my age, I know the difference between nice-nasty. Her body language, lack of eye contact when answering my questions for clearly, and her subtle sarcastic responses disguised as professionalism spoke loudly. That's my experience folks. Fantastic experience: Can’t even explain how grateful I am.. I needed an emergency root canal done, walked in, and with a full load, no availability Dr. Maroon was able to squeeze me in. Never-mind that this was the most painful thing I’ve ever experienced, the fact he understood the urgency is worth of 5-stars alone. For the record, they did numb the heck out of me it was just beyond anything local anesthetic could handle, couldn’t feel my face the entire day. Probably woulda needed to knock me out to do any better. There is more work to be done, and I’m sure I’ll feel it in the pocketbook as much as my mouth, but I feel exponentially better today. Again, thanks and a 5 star rating hardly describes just how grateful I am but it’s all I’ve got. Well that and some future business from me and hopefully anyone who sees this. Thank you

Negative experience: I got great cleanings here including deep clean. I had a serious tooth abcess with swelling in the jaw which the dentist ignored for months. I made an appointment and paid for exam of that specific tooth, and the dentist recommendation was to "live with it." He did not offer a referral to a specialist. I wanted a second opinion but The Foleck Center cancelled my 3D Scan appointment of my teeth (for the second opinion), so finally I had to find a different practice to get the abcessed tooth treated. I recommend The Foleck Center only if you know you have great teeth and only need cleanings, I do not recommend the dentists or dental work at this practice.

He was even teaching his staff and that is very rare that the Dr. Is willing to teach you at the office. Very professional. My experience was the best. Negative experience: While the service I received was great, there was a severe oversight with their intake/insurance screening. Why have me send you my insurance information the day before my appointment if you don't bother checking that your office takes it? I shouldn't have to pay out of pocket for your mistake.

Negative experience: First off, I'm one of those weird people that loves going to the dentist. I was told previously that due to it being a first appointment, x-rays and all, to plan on being there up to two hours. That was fine for me. I came in for my first appointment at 3:30pm on September 9. I waited in the lobby for about 15 minutes. A really pleasant woman, Erica?, took me back for x-rays. She was extremely polite but had issues getting the x-rays properly. She retook the same photos over and over again. There was another employee at the cubicle next to me who was screaming angrily on her cell phone. Erica(?) asked this lady to come help her with the xrays/photos. She jammed some sort of mirror in my mouth, prying my mouth open (I have TMJ so it's really painful for me to open my mouth wide) and told Erica "next time, have the patient help you with this." Doctor Maroon (?) comes in to exam me. He asks me if I've ever considered braces (I am a 27 year old woman who gets complimented fairly often on her smile.) I say no. He tells me that my teeth are great but they "strive for perfection" at Foleck. I beg to disagree, given my experience. At about 4:45 she tells me she's all done and that my hygienist would be with me soon for the cleaning. Seeing how long everything is taking, I tell her that I have to leave by 5:30 (which is when my two hours is up anyway). I am told that the hygienist will not be able to finish me by then, so I'll have to reschedule my cleaning. I sit with the scheduler while she finishes whatever work she's doing on her computer. I express my frustration at the fact that I sat so long for x-rays and photos, dealt with a very unprofessional and irritated employee painfully prying my mouth open, and didn't even get my teeth cleaned. The scheduler tells me, with an attitude, that I should have planned on being there for two hours for my first appointment. I tell her that two hours would have been great, but I was told I wouldn't be done by the two hour mark. She said "well, I don't know why you were told that. If you would have sat and stayed in the chair you'd be done by now." She then proceeded to tell me that her next available appointment was for October 19, over a month away, to just clean my teeth. She DID make sure to give me my quote for Invisalign, for $4,500, that I didn't ask for or want. Sheesh. 1 star for Erica for being the only person I interacted with that had some customer service skills. They do have some sort of signage up about leaving a review and getting something discounted, which could explain all the 5-star reviews.

Fantastic experience: Came in for an oral exam, Tonya did my cleaning and she was amazing! Very nice and knowledgeable women. Will be back in 6 months for sure.

Fantastic experience: Today is my first visit at this dentistry and my visit was amazing! The staff was nice and awesome and very well knowledgeable and told you what you needed to do. The only downfall is the parking because of it being located centrally in Downtown Norfolk but I'll definitely highly recommend this dentistry to my friends and family.

Fantastic experience: This is an amazing office. The staff are very kind and gentle. They are very knowledgeable about anything you may have concern about. Also about keeping you informed about your oral health. Had I came here sooner my teeth would be in better shape I had no idea I was a clencher. Glad they are helping me now.

Fantastic experience: I recently switched to the Foleck Center in Norfolk. The dental staff was knowledgeable, detailed, and courteous. The front desk staff was able to get me an appointment quickly and during the time that worked for me.

Negative experience: I took my kids today for their normal cleaning and it was the worst experience I have ever had at the Foleck center in Norfolk. The dental hygienist who my youngest son had was the most insensitive person. He was nervous and anxious today and the service we received was unlike anything I have ever experienced with my kids. Then the dentist came and told me we would need to find a new dentist if they could not get the X-rays today. So I gladly found another dentist for my family. My other two kids had great dental hygienist. This was not our first time either we have been patients since before the pandemic.

Fantastic experience: I had the best experience with Katrina Sweezy, RDH today! She is so specific, explanatory, & thorough! I really appreciate the care given today..she doesn’t work at this location often, you’ll have to find her in VB!

Fantastic experience: My coworker recommended this office when I complained about the delay and lack of contact from another dentist. My first visit was great. Annette was very detailed and professional. I received a free oral cancer screening as a new patient. I already scheduled my son’s appointment here. I’d recommend it to my friends as well.

Fantastic experience: Today I went in to have a tooth extracted. I called on Tuesday and got an appointment as early as the next day ! But due to my schedule I had to go today (Thursday) which cause me to have Dr. Dano Was hilarious and made my appointment comfortable and he was also extremely informative about what would happen next and what to expect far as aftercare ! I love sparkle also she is extremely funny and pleasant to speak with ! We talk about my twins every time I come and she even recommended some places to look into for their entertainment( we’re new to the area ) everyone is extremely friendly and I highly recommend going here for all your dental needs

Fantastic experience: I went to the Foleck Center in Norfolk for the first time and the staff was friendly, helpful, & full of energy. I appreciated their upbeat attitudes even on a Tuesday. I was able to get in, have all procedures explained throughly and preformed flawlessly in a an orderly fashion. Literally had no complaints and no pain during my extraction. 100000% recommend them.

Fantastic experience: Went to the Foleck Center in Norfolk, full of anxiety and uncertainty about having my teeth cleaned after 2 years of being poked, pulled, pierced, and prodded by 2 different dentists who simply would not take my sensitive teeth and anesthesia reaction seriously I was prepared for another round of pain and haggling about "necessary procedures" (all of which required anesthesia) Imagine my surprise when Katie (my hygenist) and Dr. Dano calmly took my x-rays, assured that my teeth were stable, cleaned my teeth (without pain) and sent me on my way with prescription toothpaste (what a concept!) It was such a refreshing experience! I will be back. No really...I made my 6 month appointment to go back. I have NEVER done that before

Fantastic experience: I got a filling today with Dr. Maroon and Natassja, and I was super impressed with my service. I hate getting fillings, but they made the experience so much better and it was quick too. I did feel a little rushed after my filling was done, but I understand they are busy and trying to make sure everyone has a speedy experience.

I love their office manager, Becky, and actually followed her from the previous office she worked at - she's the best!
