Fantastic experience: Very Happy with how well my dentist cleaned my teeth without feeling any discomfort and was very friendly.

Fantastic experience: My office visit for a sudden tooth infection was on time and pleasant. Dr Aldana was very gentle and comprehensive explaining with X-rays and photos that my problem was a failed root canal surgery (by another dentist.) I would have had her perform the procedure to fix it, but I was flying home in two days and elected to have it done at home in case there were complications. Dr Aldana gave me a prescription for antibiotics and pain relief providing me relief to get home. I appreciate the appropriate and responsive help provided.

Negative experience: Avoid this dentist at all costs . Absolutely over priced and a scam . I paid over $5000 for two crowns, a cleaning , and a gum scraping . I feel completely taken advantage of . The doctor said I had to replace one of my bridges which would have been very expensive and thank god I got a 2nd opinion , my bridge is completely fine . Spend your hard earned money elsewhere .

Dr. Aldana Viamontes from Modern Dentist in PSL was great taking care of me. She was very precise, caring, friendly, concern, knowledgeable and professional. Fantastic experience: This is Andrew Becker; I've been to many dentist in the past though I must truly say Modern dentists was a breed apart. The moment I walked into their office I was greeted with true kindness and professionalism. The front desk staff made me feel relaxed and welcome which is hardly seen anymore. Then I was introduced to the dentist who was going to work on my mouth. Her name was DR. Narian Aldana she spoke very softly and showed nothing but compassion for my situation.I can't thank her enough for the level of care she gave me. It's a shame the dental office I've been to in the past wasn't nearly as focused and took their profession serious as Dr. Aldana was. She is clearly at the top of her class.Thank you... Fantastic experience: We moved here from N.C. 8 months ago. We've always had amazing dental care and amazing Dentists. Since moving back, we,thankfully, found Modern Dentists of Port Saint Lucie. Ironically, our Dentists in N.C. The Gordan Group were both graduates of Nova University Dental School, as is Dr. Narian Aldana Modern's Dentist. She has amazing credentials and training. We could not be happier. The hygienists are "Tops in their Profession." Front desk experienced in the Dental Field. I absolutely Recommend that you go "No Where Else" You will be as pleased as my wife and I are to have found an amazing Dental Group. Don't hesitate to make an appointment. April 22 another visit another cleaning and a thorough exam. My wife and I have routine dental cleanings every 4 months. We definitely made the right choice in choosing Modern Dentists to maintain our health. Hygienist are amazing as is the entire staff. Don't just settle when it comes to your dental health, make the only choice and that's Modern Dentists. Keep Smiling Today September 11 we returned for our 4 month checkup and cleaning. I said it before that Modern Dentists is the only state of the art dental practice in the area. Amazing staff from front office to all the dental hygenists and dental assistants. As I once said " You'll be proud of your smile" Sept 21 today had my 4 month check up and cleaning xrays and a checkup by Dr. Aldana. She is an excellent drntist with impeccable educational credentials My hygienist Dianna is excellent. She provides an exceptional gentle thorough cleaning. Negative experience: I been attending this office for a few years, and management, staff and dentist has changed a few times, staff is getting worse everytime I been in for a cleaning. Today, I had a cleaning appointment and when I arrived I was told that my cleaning would not happen unless I took a x-rays my recent x-ray was taken 13 months ago. Now I was not scheduled for x-rays, doctor exam and the cleaning, . I wasn't planning to be there past the cleaning. I was treated unfairly by this office, they are very unprofessional and by the looks of it my insurance was was charged for an appointment that never too place

Fantastic experience: Great experience. They were able to get me in on an Emergency the next day. Staff was really nice and welcoming. Took the time to let me know what was going on and what next steps to take.

Negative experience: I went to this practice for a routine cleaning and was shocked when I was told I needed over $10,000 worth of dental work that my insurance “would not cover.” I have very good dental insurance and had never been told anything like this by my previous dentist (who retired less than a year ago). Dr. Aldana informed me she could not even perform a simple cleaning because the X-rays showed I required an extensive “deep cleaning,” which she claimed my insurance would not allow to be billed otherwise. This did not sit right with me. A few months later, I decided to get a second opinion at another dentist. They reviewed everything and told me they had no idea what Dr. Aldana was referring to. They were able to perform a regular cleaning covered by my insurance without issue, and they did not see any need for the extensive (and expensive) procedures previously outlined. ⚠️ Please be aware with this practice. Always get a second opinion before agreeing to costly treatment plans.

Negative experience: Made a cleaning and exam appt at this office. Spoke to the lady at the front desk who said my insurance was good to go. Went to my appointment as scheduled and made a subsequent appointment because I needed to have a cavity filled. Upon completion of that appointment, I paid the difference between what my insurance would pay and the out-of-pocket cost. Four months later they send me a bill for almost $1000. The clerk at the front desk made an error and misread EPO versus PPO so my insurance rejected the claims and they therefore wanted me to pay the remaining balance. Upon receiving the bill, I spoke to another lady at Modern who sent me a screenshot that said they had verified my insurance, but I noticed on the screenshot she did not filter for out of network or in network that in addition to miss reading of the type of insurance led to me having not only one appointment but two appointments that weren’t covered. I made an appeal to Humana, which said sorry you chose to go to out of network Dentist even though the dentist said they took my insurance. Spoke to a nice lady Amanda today who was able to cut the bill in half but honestly, it was their mistake so I’m not really sure why I should have to pay anything. I would simply say if you go to this dentist office triple check to make sure that your insurance is good because they do the customer a disservice in by not paying attention to the details and saying yes, we take your insurance not once but twice when it’s not the case. It’s not fair that the customer should be stuck with the bill for a mistake that should’ve easily been caught and I could’ve gone elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: Very clean modern office and so far the 2 hygienist I had to do a deep cleaning were wonderful! No pain as they used a numbing gel which made the entire experience pleasant.

Negative experience: Horrible experience! I went in for an initial exam and after a ton of X-rays they stated that I would need several deep cleanings, which are expensive and not covered by my insurance. When I informed them that I could not afford them at this time and wanted to focus on my fillings and other dental work, they refused. They also never provided me with a pre-determination from my insurance and kept telling me the person who requests them was gone.

Fantastic experience: The dentist and staff are friendly and professional. This is probably the best dentist i have been to in 37 years of life.

Negative experience: Edit from 3 years ago and it took me a year to finally edit my review: This office changed dentist without telling their clients. The former dentist had a plan: we were “watching” 2 old fillings on the BOTTOM that may need to be replaced or in need of crowns. After going in for my 6 month cleaning and the new dentist told me I needed a root canal and 2 crowns on the TOP, I was kind of shocked. I was confused because this wasn’t the original “plan”, however, I’ve never had a dentist just make a treatment plan up. So, guess what I did. Got a root canal, that I’m not sure I needed, which needed a crown. Plus…2 more crowns. While taking off my old filling I’m not sure what happened, but a new form was placed in front of me to sign approving the 3rd crown. Ok, so, another red flag. THREE temporary crowns were placed and all was fine. At this point I was glad the new dentist caught all of the repairs needed. When going back for the permanent crowns, I advised that I couldn’t feel my teeth touching and my front teeth were the only thing I could feel when I was biting down. I was told to bite harder. My mouth was numb, so I thought it was just that. I couldn’t feel my back teeth and it would improve. They did the blue ink and said the bite was good. After a day, I knew my bite was off. The crowns were not correct. There is a space. In order for the teeth to touch, I have to really bite down hard. I went back 2-3 times to check on the bite. Each time I was told I was fine. A year later, my front teeth have chipped because they are now getting force from chewing and sometimes severe jaw pain on that side. I did go in for a cleaning 6 months ago, still concerned about the bite and she said, “we can redo the work” when I asked at who’s expense, I didn’t get an answer. Now, the nit-picky part that seemed really strange….while doing extensive repairs, there was never a dam placed in my mouth, just a 2x2 piece of gauze to block my airway. Twice things were dropped in y mouth (understandable) but when you have to get what was dropped and there is no rubber dam, you risk losing what you dropped, pushing the gauze down or even having the patient breathe and inhaling the gauze. Just seemed careless. I wouldn’t look at reviews that are over 2 years old from this site since the dentist has changed.

Fantastic experience: I had an amazing experience at Modern Dentists! The entire team was super pleasant and made me feel so comfortable throughout my visit. Nicolle at the front desk was incredibly sweet and really took the time to listen to all my concerns. Dr. Aldana was very kind and provided excellent care during my visit, which I truly appreciated. Andrea, the manager, was so hands-on and attentive—it’s clear she cares deeply about the patient experience. I can’t wait to bring the rest of my family here; I know they’ll be in great hands! Positive experience: I walked in to make an appointment to fix a chipped tooth and was seen within an hour. Everyone was attentive and concerned. I needed major work which took the rest of the day. My only complaints were the office was too cold and the dentist treats 2 patients at once so I was left waiting 45 minutes while she was with the other patient. This is unacceptable. I was there over 4 hours, uncomfortable and not kept informed. Although I was happy with the result, I did not feels that my needs were prioritized.

I found modern dentists through my ppo look up and I'm so glad I got lucky with this gem of clinic! They were very professional, polite, upbeat, and very clear and thorough with explaining everything I needed fixed and how they would achieve this. They were also very understanding and not judgemental whatsoever about my long lapse in care and complimented me on how well I've cared for my teeth in the meantime. The hygienist Christina was so sweet and had amazing bedside manner. She asked me multiple times if I was comfortable, always let me know when she was standing behind me and when she left, and she checked in on my comfort and understanding the entire visit. The dentist is also so sweet and personable, I'm looking forward to making this my primary dentist! Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I had a badly infected tooth, which the dedicated staff (Lisa and Aubrey) Xrayed and put my mind at ease. Dr Aldana set an appt. for an extraction that went off without a hitch. 100% satisfied!!!

Positive experience: Appointment went well a prescription was suppose to be sent to my pharmacy for antibiotics and pain medication because I have an infection in 2 teeth I made several calls to dentist office and pharmacy never received the prescriptions . This isn’t a good start for a new patient but found out the next day their phones and internet went down later that day

Negative experience: WARNING, WARNING, WARNING! Do not get dentures from "Modern Dentists of Port St. Lucie " Let me start by saying I have been wearing dentures since 1989. This is my 6th pair of dentures in that time. The first red flag for this business was how long it took to receive an upper denture. It took 5 months to receive just an upper denture. Then to make matters worse, when I put the denture in my mouth it didn't fit and wouldn't stay in!! The dentist (Narian Aldana) told me I would have to use adhesive to keep them in. Mind you I have NEVER in all these years had to use adhesive to keep my dentures in. When I explained this to the dentist she said that if I didn't want to use adhesive then implants were my only option. I decided to at least give them a try, but when I got home and tried to eat I realized that she had designed the denture completely wrong. The teeth are so far down in my mouth that I am unable to chew anything! This is by far the worst product and service I have ever encountered in my 34 years of wearing dentures. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. Denture wearers beware!!!

Negative experience: I am Janine Donzelli, former patient of Modern Dentistry…Under no circumstances would I recommend this dentist! They are much more concerned with money than patient care! I went in for 1 crown and wound up with 4 crowns and much more extensive work than I was prepared for! In addition, they did work on a tooth I have never had a problem with, as a result I wound up with a root canal, which was done immediately after a crown was placed on the tooth! The dentist who did the root canal was appalled that the crown was placed, knowing a root canal was necessary! Please DO NOT trust this office as there major concern is charging patients for very extensive care plans that may not be necessary! In addition, the application of the crown being placed on the tooth was beyond painful, and the dentist just kept working on it although I was in extreme pain! The dentist knew I was leaving in a cruise, but did not support or recommend direction after she caused the problem! Terrible experience!!!! Now they want over $1,000 more as my cap of coverage was already met! They act as though every patient is need of VERY costly care plans, some of which were caused by inappropriate care on their part! My tooth was fine before she chose to file it and place a temporary cap on it! It created a terribly painful tooth in a previously “fine tooth”! BE CAREFUL! Big mistake…

Fantastic experience: Staff is the best I had , great attention, the doctor is awesome and so is the assistant, everyone is very caring from the front desk to the staff!… im very happy highly recommended.

Positive experience: Generally a good experience but, big but, after the dentist gave me the numbing medicine, she went off to treat another patient for 50 minutes. I’ve had a lot of dental work in my life and that is excessive waiting. It is indicative of disrespect for the patient’s time, over the dentist. I would understand if the ther case was an emergency it it was not.

Negative experience: BEWARE: Before making appointment, we confirmed with their billing dept. that our insurance would cover the services, and then re-confirmed when we arrived. After the said procedures were completed, we were handed a $150 bill, with the lame excuse that the services were not covered. It appears that they would rather take $150 from me, than the $60 the insurance would have paid her. I have contacted our insurance company and they will be reimbursing me, along with investigating this matter as well. It is sad, how these worthless type of businesses still exist. This of course, will never happen again at this place, as we will definitely not return and I will be recommending all of my colleagues at Cleveland Clinic to avoid this place as well.

Fantastic experience: Very clean facility! The dentist was very sweet and the hygienist was an absolutely amazing. She didn’t tear my gums apart when flossing, which is a huge plus because most dentist offices I leave with sore gums. Everyone was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions that I had as I hadn’t seen a dentist in a couple of years. I am definitely going back.

Fantastic experience: I am very nervous when it comes to dentistry but the moment I entered the office I was very comfortable. The hygienist was extremely knowledgeable with great bedside manner! She prepared my plan of treatment always keeping me involved never pressuring me to make decisions at that time. The Dentist was also very professional, calm and respectful. There's work to be done on my teeth and I can choose options as I go with no pressure.

Fantastic experience: The entire staff is friendly and professional. Modern up-to-date equipment/ technology. My dentist, Dr. Aquino and his dental staff are top notch. Very impressed with their dental skills. No waiting. Great Covid protocols for safety. Very happy with my choice. Update: my temporary crown came because I ate something sticky. They brought me in immediately to fit me with a new temporary crown. In and out in 30 minutes. This is an amazing practice. Update A new dentist. Dr Aldana is great.. skilled, meticulous , caring. But very friendly and outgoing.

Positive experience: My husband and I are fairly new to this practice but from the start we felt comfortable with the care and especially with the associates who work there. They are friendly helpful and treat you with respect.

Fantastic experience: SADLY due to sickness I had to cancel my Jan 9th appointment. I have to say nothing has changed from the beginning but they just keep getting nicer and more caring. I feel completely at ease with each person who has worked with me. Its a great feeling. Highly recommend this office.

Fantastic experience: My first experience with Tomalty Dental was excellent. It's a clean and very friendly atmosphere. Christina, the hygienist, did an excellent job and my discussion with Dr. Aquinas was very informative regarding my treatment plan. After having such an excellent experience, I scheduled an appointment for my husband. I highly recommend them. You won't be disappointed. My second appointment was also excellent. I had two filling done today and it was absolutely painless. I didn't even feel the needle!
