Love love love her!! The ladies in the front are always so kind as well. I haven't had much interaction with the new dentist yet. So I will hold off commenting on him for now. Overall, this is a great dental office and I highly recommend them!!

Fantastic experience: Had a root canal recently. All my questions were answered professionally with care and compassion. I’ve had root canals before and I would rate this experience as a 10 out of 10. I had no pain during the procedure and though expected pain later when I returned home, I had none!! I didn’t have to take any meds and that was a big plus for me.

Fantastic experience: I've always feared having dental care ever since I was a teenager. I didn't know that my provider had retired and that the practice was sold. I meet with Dr Simpson on Wednesday due to a dental ER. Both him and his assistant ere so compassionate about my concerns making me feel so comfortable.

Fantastic experience: Great experience, had cleaning and x-rays, Florence was awesome, took her time to explain everything and was personable and professional, Dr S was very gentle and took the time to evaluate my x-rays, gums, mouth and teeth and even spent a few minutes in personal conversation which was nice, office is clean and tidy and front desk is friendly and efficient.

Negative experience: Michael Treman has the WORST chair side manner of any dentist in Wilmington. He is rude and dismissive. The staff will constantly run back and forth to talk to you about prices when you’re in the chair. The staff outnumber the two dentists and they need at least four to run the front area. Prices are sky high compared to any other dentist in town. Save yourself the time and go anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: This was my first time visiting since the practice changed over from Dr Steve and Dr Mike. I was surprised, but also very comfortable with the new dentist and hygienist. I will continue with this office for future visits. If you are a coward at the dentist, then I have faith these people will make you feel a little less afraid.

Positive experience: I had my first visit with Dr.Simpson. He fixed my tooth and added a crown in one day. I didn’t experience any pain. He is a great dentist, and I recommend him. The team and hygienists who work in this office are amazing.

Negative experience: I arrived at my scheduled time. I found out Dr Steve had retired along with Dr Mike. No prior warning except an email that I never saw. Dr Simpson started the process of drilling then left me for over an hour to work on another patient. I was disturbed and will not be going back . Dr Simpson was not pleasant to me when I expressed my feelings.

Fantastic experience: Michelle did a marvelously professional job of efficiently completing my x-rays, doing the cleaning and correctly identifying an area where I have bone loss. She also explained a fluoride treatment that I had not heard of and included it in my session. Dr Steve concluded the session by explaining to me the for an implant and setting up the procedure. All In all, a high quality performance by everybody

Fantastic experience: Never fun to go to the dentist … right ? But Dr Mike and assistants are awesome at making sure you’re comfortable through the whole procedure, asking if you’re ok and guiding you through what to expect. This review is for a crown replacing an old filling. My regular 6 month cleanings are just as good with nice and efficient hygienists. Office staff helpful and friendly. Overall a great dental practice !

Fantastic experience: I was referred by my Supervisor to visit Family Dental Care! Today was my first visit and from the moment I walked in the door I felt welcomed. The check-in process was warming and my insurance was already verified before the appt. Then I met my amazing Dental Hygienist TONI!! She was very gentle, caring and through with my cleaning. I told her this was the best FIRST visit I have had since moving here and leaving my old Dentist. Dr. Simpson was gentle, informative and welcoming. Highly recommend the practice and see TONI if you can!! 10/10 experience.

Negative experience: This office is more concerned with getting paid than getting it right. I brought my mother here for dentures, and what we received wasn’t care—it was a cash grab wrapped in deceitful smiles and dismissive arrogance. The dentures were crooked, painful, and downright dangerous, leaving her with cuts in her mouth. When we raised our concerns, the dentist brushed us off. That’s not just wrong—it’s insulting. We later sought a second opinion from a reputable dental office. Their findings? The bite was so misaligned it couldn’t be corrected. The metal framework was heavy and rough, the clasps didn’t function, and the only real solution was to start over entirely. Despite all this, Family Dental Care took zero accountability. We returned multiple times, hoping they’d do the right thing...Instead, we got more excuses, more faulty work, and no resolution. Let’s be honest: this office is quicker to chase payments than to deliver quality care. Their appetite for money far outweighs any commitment to dental skill, customer service, ethics, or basic professionalism—and that’s the real issue. This wasn’t an isolated issue. In fact, we had previously spent over $15,000 at this same dental office for porcelain veneers, which later failed. We later learned my mother was never a good candidate for veneers in the first place—an oversight the provider should have recognized and disclosed. But, couldn't care less because they just wanted to make sale. Unfortunately, this reflects a broader pattern of negligent service and misplaced priorities—focusing more on payment than on patient well-being or long-term outcomes.

I was seen by my dentist within 24hrs of my call and this was at the end of a holiday weekend. I was really impressed!

Mike and Steve are friendly, professional, and at the top of their craft with their work. My hygienist Florence is the very best and makes each appointment relaxing and fun. The office staff gets me checked out quickly and scheduled for my next appointment. While there are dentists closer to my home, I go out of way to go to Treman and Treman. They are a first class organization from top to bottom.

Everybody in the office was fantastic, but Lauren took the cake! Although I was fearful the whole time she kept checking on me and encouraging me. Negative experience: Family Dental Care of Wilmington will bill your insurance company for work that they do not do. I have never dealt with a dentistry that purposely tries not to talk to their patients about insurance and billing until I had come to this practice. They billed my insurance company for a deep clean when I 100% did not get a deep clean, nor did I go in there for a deep clean. I went in for a regular cleaning. They never mentioned anything about a deep clean. I only found out when my insurance company sent me a notice about it. I called the dentist and told them that I never got a deep clean and I only went there for a regular cleaning. They ignored me so I had to send a letter to them just in case I had to take legal action. They sent me back a very sarcastic letter basically saying my insurance sucked and they were taking the charge off. My insurance sucks because they don't pay out false claims? Glad I kept their letter for safe keeping. Makes me think how many other false billings they put in with other people's insurance companies.
