My dental hygienist was super nice, friendly and understanding of my needs being an anxious dental patient! She took extra time and care with my teeth which I really appreciated! I got a cleaning and a thorough exam and I had an issue with a root being exposed that they were able to fix same day. It only took a few minutes. I joined their membership program, which is really helpful with not having any dental insurance. The staff was awesome there and I look forward to getting my future dental needs taken care of at this practice.

I'm fairly new - one cleaning appointment and one procedure - but my experiences have been consistently positive. Everyone is patient-focused and extremely personable. The hygienists and assistants are all very thorough and professional. Everything is explained before they do any work and they constantly check to make sure you're doing OK. Dr. Shumate did a great job with some bonding and filling work. Painless process, done in a timely fashion, with results that far exceeded my expectations! Forgot to add - they get you in when scheduled and promptly begin the work. When the work is complete, the billing and future appointment scheduling is fast and efficient. For someone who has been fortunate to have excellent dentists at every different place I've lived, I feel like I've found another at Porters Neck.

Fantastic experience: Found my forever dentist. Katie was my hygienist and was absolutely amazing. She’ll tell you what she’s doing before she does it and keeps conversation so you’re comfortable. Unrelated to dentistry, but her taste is music is superb. I felt like I’ve known her my whole life. Dr. Dana is great as well and talked me through the process of what cosmetic work would best fit the outcome I’m looking for. I can’t imagine ever going anywhere else. Means a lot especially with the work that I do. I recently had an incident that needed some dental attention and I have never really had to go through this but they were able to see me the next day. I will say I was a little more nervous than I probably looked. I was very impressed with the way they handled my situation, I let them know it was cosmetic but was willing to wait but to keep me informed if there were any cancellations. They were very professional and called after a later appointment was set to let me know there was a cancellation and if I was able to come in. I said yes please. Once the work was complete everything looked great. I normally do not give reviews but everyone should know how great this place is and the kind of work and passion they put in their jobs.
