Fantastic experience: I’ve been going here for a few years and they are always so nice! Got in quick and my appointment was on time. My hygienist Chaynce (I believe) was very kind and gentle. She made me feel comfortable and I’ll definitely hope to get her for my next appointment!

Dr. Chen quickly identified the need for a root canal beneath an existing crown, and they got me scheduled at another one of their offices in 45 minutes. A very friendly and caring staff at both locations in Hampstead and Wilmington. They saved our Wilmington vacation....

Fantastic experience: The morning of January 30th I cracked a tooth chewing a gummy vitamin. My dentist was closed so I called Riccobene Associates Family Denistry. They took me right in shortly after I called. I ended up needing a crown. I could not have asked for more friendly people and top notch service. I highly recommend them for any dental work you may need. The dentist also explained every step from start to finish. I was very pleased with the outcome.

Fantastic experience: MARCH 2026 UPDATE I am not a great dental patient and do not love going to the dentist in general. However, these are the finest people and dentists anywhere. Drs. Frank and Chen are so knowledgeable and just fun to be around. They are kind and never too busy to spend a few minutes with patients to just chat and catch up - kind of like family. Terry, Kim, Jennifer and Amanda and the rest of the staff are so wonderful. These ladies are at the top of their game. Always a great smile and attitude! The new office is beautiful. Five stars are well deserved! What a wonderfully positive experience. As someone who is quite anxious about any kind of dental work, I was very pleased with the care I received from everyone from the receptionist to Dr. Frank himself. The girls at the front desk were very helpful in filing my insurance and managing my appointments. Every time I walked in, I was greeted with a smile. Dr. Frank is so kind and compassionate. He explained everything he was doing each step of the way. He was very careful to make sure that I was comfortable and was taken care of. The hygienists and assistants were so kind and thoughtful. Overall, an excellent experience, I would highly highly recommend anyone seeking dental care to reach out to Riccobene Associates in Hampstead.

Fantastic experience: Five stars for the wonderful, delightful people who work here! But 1-star for the imaging device used for my crown fitting. Their scanner is far too LARGE for many patients and is extremely uncomfortable—it felt like I was choking several times and was quite painful as it grazed my gums - more than once. And it took forever to scan!!! Top it off because the imaging didn’t fly the first time, I had to RETURN today to do it again! (Which further delayed my crown by several weeks.) I learned today that there is actually a smaller imaging device that’s not only smaller and faster but provides a more comfortable experience for the patient. The plan was to do another crown right after this one but if management doesn’t buy a smaller imaging device, as much as I like the amazing staff, I’ll be looking for a new dental office. :-(

Fantastic experience: I'm not one to normally leave a review but I feel it's important to shine a spotlight on Dr. Chen and hygienist Will at the Hampstead location. I am in the process of having some extensive dental work done and from my first cleaning and consultation to beginning my treatment Dr. Chen has been crucial in this healing process. He communicated very clearly the treatment plan and gave his professional opinion on how best to prioritize my care both in regards to my anxiety about dental work and financial ability. Dr. Chen and Will were great during my first procedure, both were attentive to my comfort and made sure I was doing ok the whole time. I received multiple follow up calls to make I was doing ok after as well. I had to come back due to a minor complication and was immediately brought back where I was listened to and the concern was addressed. Dr. Chen made sure I was taken care of and Will was sure to check that I didn't have any further questions or concerns, he even took the time to make sure I had everything I needed to continue the healing process at home. If you have dental anxiety and are looking for a non judgemental and compassionate team, where your concerns are heard and needs are met, all the boxes are checked here. Thanks Dr. Chen and Will!

Fantastic experience: Riccobene in Hampstead was very caring & knowledgeable . They take great care & time to explain the procedures . Will & Dr. Chen take the time necessary for patients to fully understand the costs as well as the time involved, & the options available. Dr. Chen took great care in removing a tooth that was broken off at the gum line & was able to remove it all in one piece, gently, painlessly! The whole office works as a great team!

Fantastic experience: Will and Dr. Chen were amazing they made me feel so comfortable and very much at ease. I have severe anxiety and these two made me feel safe, I had alot of work done and didn't think I was going to go through with it but Will and Dr. Chen helped me each step of the way and made the process very comfortable for me. The wait time was reasonable, the staff was very friendly, the office is inviting and nice, and Dr. Chen was very friendly, approachable, and accommodating. They definitely know how to ease the anxiety of going to the dentist.

Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough praise for Dr. Frank and his entire staff. First of all, the office is new. It's beautifully done. The equipment is new and top-notch. Yesterday was the first time at their new location. I was sad to see that there was no TV in the corner. They said, "Look up!" There it was, on the ceiling to amuse the person having their teeth cared for. A significant part of the fear people have about going to the dentist is the prospect of pain. Dr. Frank numbed the area, then injected medication so that I did not feel a thing. Having had a lot of work done, I have never had any pain! Prices are fair, and he always gives advice and then allows the person to decide their plan of care. I've seen him take care of people who are on vacation and walk in without an appointment whenever possible. He is genuinely concerned for people.

Fantastic experience: I had to get an emergency extraction of one of my wisdom teeth done today and Dr Chen was great! :) He was very calm and patient with all my squirming! The numbing injections were the smoothest I’ve ever had. Dr. Chen is probably the only doctor who can say there will be a “small pinch” and still be honest haha. If you gotta get a tooth pulled, come to Dr. Chen.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Riccobene Associates (Hampstead) for a little over six months now and am quite pleased with the level of service this dentistry provides. The front office staff, dental hygienist, and dentist are all friendly and care about your mouth hygiene, which I find hard to come by in this area. I would highly recommend establishing dental care here.

Negative experience: So in a last attempt effort to fix my tooth that I haven’t been able to floss after a cavity filling 2 years ago at porters neck riccobene.. I called to ask about booking a teeth cleaning at this office, I’m already an established patient at all the other riccobenes in town, but I couldn’t even get to booking before the girl on the phone had the audacity to say you’re not gonna get your teeth fixed for free here but we’ll look at it.. we hadn’t discussed prices or if I wanted just a cleaning or anything. She acted very skeptical of me and was looking up my info saying you haven’t been to the other offices.. oh wait yes you have.. so unprofessional..

Negative experience: The fill in hygienist was nice but the dentist Adam Frank in Hampstead was not professional with me. He did not review my x rays that I had sent over from my previous dentist so he couldn’t say whether I had active cavities or not. I have heard that in previous years that he has performed procedures when it wasn’t necessary and has done the same thing with someone I know personally. Would not recommend.

Fantastic experience: Really thankful to find this place. They have really affordable insurance plans that will give you a free x-ray and check up. I've had no dental insurance the last 5 years and had to deal with an infection all this time. I walked into the clinic, had my x-ray and cleaning appointment set for 2 hours later, I bought the insurance so I only paid $40 for the X-ray and cleaning.. It was really quick and they set me up with a tooth extraction appointment in 10 days. They have a loan program, and I believe 0% interest for the first 12 months( don't quote me on that) and I believe it's called Sunbit. The price to get my tooth removed is very fair, and they gave me a list of issues that I had and individual prices for each. So now I can just handle each issue one at a time, as I can. Very nice place, very nice people, very good prices. Happy happy.

They also followed up with me to make sure I had everything I needed to make my new dentures work for me.

Negative experience: I had some fillings and a crown placed here last year and paid my full bill before I left. Soon after, I received a bill in the mail for additional unspecified charges. I called the office and I was told not to worry, there was a glitch in the system, I didn't owe any more, and that it would be taken care of. It's now many months later and I'm still receiving bills in the mail, I'm being texted with bills, and emailed with bills, and the bill keeps increasing in cost. I've tried calling and I'm always told they will get back to me, but they never do. I am tired of being harassed by these people. On top of that, the dental work done was very clearly rushed, so my bite has been wrong ever since, and I can't even chew on the side of my mouth with the crown anymore. It has been an absolute nightmare dealing with this place. Update: I still have not been able to get anyone to speak with me to resolve this so have lodged a complaint with the BBB. Hopefully they can assist.
