Positive experience: Was told when I made this initial new patient visit that I would also be getting my teeth cleaned. That was not the case. I was told that whoever told me that was wrong. That I should not have been told that. And I would have to make another appointment for the cleaning. Which ended up to be 3 weeks later. I had time sign off on a treatment plan while still in exam room that showed $0 cost. When I checked out was told I owed $106. I questioned this and confirmed I didn't owe anything. Very mixed communication between staff.

Fantastic experience: Since this was my initial visit, I was a bit apprehensive about the process, having recently moved here from the Northeast. There was a bit of uncertainty about the insurance coverage, but the desk staff quickly made the necessary calls and subsequently straightened the matter out. My nurse was patient and courteous said explained everything in detail. Overall, it was a rather pleasant experience (notwithstanding my aching jaws afterwards) and look forward to continue working with the team.

Fantastic experience: Ive had some dental emergencies and started going here last year, so I've gotten the full experience. Everyone has been amazing - from the front desk to the dentists. They're kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. Made dealing with my extreme dental anxiety a whole lot easier.

Fantastic experience: I just moved here from Florida in July. It took me a little bit of time to get a new patient appointment, but the wait was well worth it. Dr Chris was very nice and Lauren gave me the best cleaning, I believe I have ever had.

Having had several experiences so far I can honestly say each in the chair experience has been comfortable and painless. Mia was cheerful and all smiles at check in and scheduling the patient appointments. Moriah did a great job on the x-rays. She was very professional and gentle. Never been so comfortable with dental x-rays. Lisa came in to say hello and the priocharting and was professional and gentle. Amy did a great job on the cleaning, polishing, and fluoride. She was patient and kind. DDS Chris was a delight when he did the exam. Professional and kind. You can tell the whole team is genuine in the care of all their clients. Negative experience: I had my appointment booked months in advance just for my first cleaning because they didn’t have anything. my appointment was supposed to be November 6th. I already worked it out at my job and all but I get a text this morning saying they will be closed that day and will have to cancel. I call and i’m told I won’t be able to get in until sometime next year. Mind you my boyfriend went to the same place twice and they got him in within a week. I don’t understand how they’re allowed to do this a week before an appointment that someone has been waiting MONTHS for. This is beyond unprofessional and such an inconvenience.

Fantastic experience: My 5yr old has a bit of white coat syndrome due to some medical treatment she needed early on. Though she is completely healthy, she often is nervous and will refuse treatment, making a difficult situation for all involved. Wonderfully, Lisa was amazing with her. She explained how everything worked and what she was going to d and even let her help. Though it took extra time and convincing, Lisa was able to get her compliance for her teeth cleaning without us having to force her to comply, making for a very pleasant visit for my girl. The staff here is amazing with children, even those who are pretty apprehensive!!! Thank you!!

The dentist has been kind, gentle, explanatory, and thorough and I am very grateful. The environment also has a comfortable feel and I have been pulled back timely which is important to me with having two babies.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I recently relocated to Leland NC and had to find a new dentist. Both of us have been using the same dentist since childhood, so you can imagine that it is very difficult to find someone you can feel comfortable and trust. Well it would take me longer then this page will allow to share with you what a great team they have here at Dental Care of Leland. There desk staff, billing, Hygienist and Dr. Christopher have all made us comfortable and when I say pain free I mean it. They explain exactly what they are doing and go over costs and take care of insurance first so you know exactly what you’re paying out of pocket before they start your work. I told them yesterday, they have two new life long patients. Could not have asked for a better team to continue to provide a beautiful smile for both of us. Thank you, Dauito Family

Fantastic experience: I cant thank the team enough at Dental Care at Leland. They got me in on Monday morning for a filling I had fall out over the weekend.. Im new to the area & dont have a dentist established yet. It was a great experience & quick! I will be using Dental Care at Leland moving forward for my dental cleanings. I highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: My experience as a new patient were most positive for the following reasons. First, I received an exceptionally thorough Xray and teeth cleaning process by hygienist. This was followed an exam and discussion of my dental history by Dr. Christopher Colella. Both professionals have excellent communication skills and made me feel welcomed to the practice. Finally, my insurance plan was accepted by what appears a well managed practice.

Fantastic experience: My hygienist Kaitlyn who cleaned my teeth was gentle and caring. And the staff greeted me with kindness and when exiting was pleasant as well. Thanks to you all.

Positive experience: Amy was professional and efficient. Records from my previous visit were not accurate. Services included in other visits have been changed to individually identified and charged separately. Probably a good idea if clearly informed which services you have a choice about.

Negative experience: Are you kidding me? How does this place have 4.8 stars when they are so incompetant? I scheduled an appointment for May 9, 2025 but received a text from them indicating that the doctor is out due to an injury. I was then rescheduled to June 27, 2025 which is 45 days later as they didn't have an opening. Today I received a text from them indicating that they have to cancel my appointment due to the doctor having an injury and the earliest they can schedule me is July 1st. I asked for a supervisor to call me back and still nothing! And you guys give this place 4.8 stars?!?!

Positive experience: Spent a long time checking my new insurance while I got my teeth cleaned Needed X-rays and they offered to give for free if insurance didn’t pay. Thankfully I was covered for everything and I appreciate them dealing with BC. Professional exam

Negative experience: While the dentist is wonderful and we do appreciate him and his hardwork… the office staff at this facility is a joke. Their billing department lacks any professionalism and seems to think you should do her job for her with calling insurance companies and supplying medical codes rather than her working out her own billing issues. She referred to our insurance as a “scam” rather than properly explaining our coverage. Additionally, my husband had an appointment that he booked well in advance, 20 minutes before his appointment while he was already en route and had left work a staff member called me and wanted to cancel his appointment because “they wouldn’t have the equipment they needed” because they had seen another extraction patient earlier? Please make that make sense. We will NOT ever be using this office again in the future and encourage others to stay far away. Again the dentist is wonderful but the office staff is beyond shady.

This last visit was for a dental cleaning only. Amy did a great job deep cleaning below my gum line. She is very professional, non-judgmental and thorough and offered me some useful ideas to keep my gums healthy. I would definitely recommend Amy and Dental Care at Leland Town Center.

Fantastic experience: I am so happy with my Dentist. Previously I had gone to a doctor for mouth bumps and he didn't know what they were. I went to my dentist here at Dental Care of Leland and was told they were from stress and not to worry. They will go away with no treatment. What a relief, I had thought the worst. Negative experience: I have consistently been impressed by the high quality of care provided by the dentists and hygienists at this practice. Dr. Denkin and the team do excellent work, and I truly appreciate their skill and professionalism. Unfortunately, my experience with the billing department has been less satisfactory. I encountered discrepancies between initial quotes and the final charges, and it was impossible to reach the manager or receive responses to billing inquiries. While I value the clinical care I received, these administrative challenges ultimately led me to seek dental services elsewhere. I will genuinely miss Dr. Denkin and the wonderful clinical staff.

Fantastic experience: Appointments are SO incredibly easy to make here, ext day or same day appointments are hard to find, they typically always make room. For emergency or regular maintenance, even for two adults schedules. Staff is very polite and friendly and there hasn’t been a single one that wasn’t. Dr Colella is kind and makes sure even if you’re already comfortable that you’re being encouraged through the work. If you haven’t been in to a dentist in awhile, just started, or need a more friendly less judgmental approach I would highly recommend. Staff approaches each individual with the same attitude and seem to like their jobs.

I needed to see someone soon and they got me in in one day. Dentists there are caring and explain everything. I will be going there from now on for all my dental needs.

The hygienist did a wonderful job with x-rays and cleaning my teeth and also provided a great dental plan moving forward. The office is very clean and is a state of the art facility. Fantastic experience: The staff at Dental Care at Leland are great!!! I had to have my existing teeth extracted in order to be fitted for my dentures, and Dr Chris was very compassionate and gentle in removing them. When you walk in you are greeted with a smile and a kind word every visit, and they really make you feel at home. I'm very happy to be able to enjoy the foods I missed for so long, and the dentures fit and feel great.I would highly recommend Dental Care at Leland for all your family needs, hands down!!!!!!!

Negative experience: I’m sure this is a decent place based on all the good reviews, but I did not have a good experience as I was pretty much deceived. When I made an appointment back in October of 2024, I used the dental insurance I have with Cigna, I was told that everything was good and that they were in network with the insurance policy I have. Come my appointment, everything was rechecked when I arrived and was told I was all set. After the exam and X-rays were finished, I was then told that there was an issue and that they actually were not in network with my insurance, but they some how failed to catch this the first 2 times it was checked, but some how noticed it after the work was done? I was told they will still try to bill my insurance and if they won’t cover the cost that they won’t charge me. Fast forward to 4 months later, February 2025, I received an email from this dental office with a bill. If you’re planning on getting set up with this place, it’s probably a good idea you quadruple check your insurance will work with them, don’t be like me and get basically scammed and lied to.

Negative experience: I was contacted by the office and told I needed to reschedule my appointment because no doctors would be available on my original appointment date. The office person and I agreed on a date and time. On the agreed to date I showed up to be told there was no appointment and I would need to reschedule. This was the third time in the last 18 months this occurred. The receptionist got snarky when I pushed back saying to me she “wasn’t doing this with me. Very unprofessional. Eventually a hygienist over hearing the issue worked it out. Dental care is great, office performance is unsatisfactory.

Fantastic experience: The front desk personnel (Savannah, Nia and Taylor) were welcoming and informative. The X-ray tech, Cody(sp) was very accommodating and made sure that I was comfortable while he took numerous X-rays. My hygienist, Hailey, was thorough, gentle and provided excellent care. Dr. Chris was just what I was looking for in a dentist. He didn’t rush the exam or dismiss any of my concerns. I highly recommend this practice.

Fantastic experience: Best dental office in Leland. Clinical and office staff are very friendly. They were able to quickly get me in and out after the other dentist at Riccobene did not call me back regarding fixing the crown that they had put in.

Fantastic experience: Kind people, from the front desk to the hygienist, assistant, and Doctor. My hygienist, Lisa, made my visit both informative, and fun. The front desk was able to answer my billing questions, and get me scheduled, where I’ll be spending a little more time with the Dr! I’m not thrilled about that, but that’s my fault, not theirs! I strongly recommend!
