I rarely write reviews and it’s ironic that the review I’m writing is about a dentist because typically I hate going to the dentist but if I have to go, I’ll tell Are top-notch. Staff are friendly, they’re efficient Their notification and scheduling system is helpful , and they are really patient centered.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been coming to this office for about 25 years. I’ve always been pleased with my treatment. I’m always greeted with a friendly smile and I never have to wait past my designated time. The hygienist I use Lisa, is efficient and complete. A particular thing I like about her is she doesn’t try to make conversation with me while she’s working on my teeth. I used to see Dr. Rice, but he retired and now I see Dr. Hall. I completely respect his opinion and trust that I am in good hands. I’ve recommended this office to many people and will continue to do so. Oh yes, I love their holiday chocolate chip cookies that they provide to their patients every year.

Fantastic experience: Dr Hall and his team are just the greatest! I got right in when I had pain in my lower gums and he took care of it immediately. He never suggests work that is unnecessary until it’s time to take care of it, so I really trust him. And my teeth cleanings are so fun, I look forward to them! Tiffany is so upbeat and so thorough that the appointments are just great. I am so thankful that I was referred to this office when I moved to Portland a couple of years ago.

Fantastic experience: I want to start by stating that before coming to this clinic I spent nearly 30 years at my prior dentist. I switched due to a change in hygienist. I visited Laurelwood because a close friend goes here. I heard a couple of concerns about them offering crowns due to needing to pay for their machine, but honestly I don't see this. I find them to be patient focused, clear on costs, and a couple folks are hands down the most amazing ever. Violet is incredible, best hygienist I have been to in my life. Amazing bedside manner, thoughtful, compassionate and patient focused. Absolutely love being her patient. Carly, who works directly with the dentist who did my crown has a subtle and kind way of easing a person. I felt cared for and respected the entire time.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Hall is one of my favorite doctors of all time, and Violet and Laura are wonderful hygienists. My experience at Laurelwood Dental has always been positive. I was referred to Dr. Hall in 2018/19 by my endodontist after a root canal therapy when my existing dentist was not able to seat a crown. I was able to get in for a time-sensitive procedure (thank you, front desk!) and Dr. Hall warmly welcomed me and seated a crown at my first visit. So happy I made the switch to professional and friendly Dr. Hall who I actually look forward to seeing every six months.

Fantastic experience: Laurelwood Dental is fantastic! We’ve been going for years, and while no one looks forward to going to the dentist, Drs. Hall & Edwards are so capable, kind, and compassionate, every visit is pain-free, dread-free. The hygienists are just as wonderful and do everything they can to put you at ease, from numbing your gums before cleaning to holding your hand during drilling. Another HUGE bonus of going here—they have a machine—such fun to watch—that makes your crown while you’re there! No suffering with a temporary for 10 days. I cracked a tooth, and was in and out of there with a new crown in 2 hours!

After several bad experiences, my insurance added Delta Dental which allowed me to return to Dr. Hall and the wonderful staff at Laurelwood. Fantastic experience: We LOVE Laurelwood Dental! They were so kind and efficient working on my daughter who is behind on her dental care while in college. We prefer to have her seen here less often than use a different dentist in her college town because they are so awesome.

It feels like they are actually invested in my success. I went a long time without insurance and I was embarrassed when I first came to them. Fantastic experience: I switched to Aurelio’s dental about fifteen years ago after some less than pleasant experiences at other dentists. The people are always friendly and the dental care is excellent. They do a fabulous job working with my insurance, too. I highly recommend them to anyone who asks where I get dental care. I put my face through a steering wheel at age 18 and had massive dental trauma which I have had treated in both Miami and Philly by Ivy League trained dentists and these providers are equally skilled. Fantastic experience: If you’re a dental chicken like me, this place is clucking great! I’ve been going here for years and can’t say enough good things about Dr. Hall, the hygienists, and the staff. Dr. Hall is calm, professional and super communicative – he always lets you know exactly what’s going on and the state of things inside your pie hole. You can tell how much he cares about his patients and the whole team proactively works to make sure those pearly whites stay happy and healthy. I recently had a crown put on and the process could not have gone more smoothly. They have this amazing machine that mills the replacement tooth right in the office while you wait. So there’s no temporary crown and the new one fits absolutely perfectly – it feels like the stuff of science fiction. Laurelwood Dental FTW!

Fantastic experience: I was a regular patient at Laurelwood Dental for about 7 years, seen by Dr. Edwards and Dr. Hall for various periods. I came in rough shape, having an infected root canal and crown that they attended and put me in good hands to resolve. After my implant via their referrals 5 years ago, my dental health has been pristine. Thanks to my hygienist, Stephanie, who is so kind, fun and thorough. I’m going to miss her now that I’ve moved. She’s very positive and an amazing person. You do pay out of pocket as they’re not in any network, but I never regretted the extra dental insurance cost through my employer. If you’re new to the area or looking for a dentist with a good vibe that prioritizes your dental health, this is the spot.

Fantastic experience: I recently changed to this practice about a year ago. I have only great things to say about them. I noticed a small jag in a tooth over the weekend. As a busy teacher in her last week of school, I called late Monday afternoon. They had me in on Wednesday morning. They called me back 2 min early and had my missing filling corrected, including x-rays in 28 mins flat! I was able to make it back to work before students showed up. They are always so timely, kind, and willing to talk through procedures. If you are looking for an easy to work with dental office, this is the one!

Negative experience: I always have a wonderful experience at this office. Dr. Hall and Dr. Edwards are awesome, as is Brittany, my dental hygienist. The front office staff are very warm and welcoming and I very much enjoy coming here for my dental needs. I highly recommend Laurelwood Dental. Edit: I will now be taking my dental needs elsewhere due to this office’s inability to code the billing correctly. I have dental insurance so there is ZERO reason I should be paying the entire bill out of pocket for a procedure unless they are doing unnecessary dental work (which is what I’m now thinking). I am extremely irritated and disappointed with my experience here this past year. I will be moving my entire family to another dental practice.
