Negative experience: Hands down the WORST dental office we've ever been to! The ONLY good thing about this place is Carolyn and the orthodontist himself. The front staff are completely incompetent. We have waited over 2 hours multiple times because they either didn't check us in or they "lost" our paperwork. If my son wasn't halfway through his braces treatment, we'd never step foot back in this terrible place! Do not bring your family here for braces!

I did not feel any pain when he administered the shot to numb my tooth. His assistant, Traci, was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. She was friendly and immediately put me at ease. Negative experience: 2 hour wait with appointment. Was told I needed a deposit to reserve the appointment over the phone. Receive a receipt that doesn’t mention the deposit and then told after the procedure the deposit was included in the price. This is after the bill was originally over $1000 and then suddenly knocked down to less than half after I mentioned a previous procedure. Very shady front desk work.p

Fantastic experience: We’ve come to this office twice—once for each of my daughters to get extensive dental work done—and we’ve had such a great experience both times! Juan, the office manager, really knows his stuff. He’s on the ball, super knowledgeable, and always had the answers to our questions. Dr. Thomson was incredibly kind and worked hard to accommodate our busy schedules. She made it a priority to get everything done in one visit so we wouldn’t have to come back multiple times, which we really appreciated. I also really appreciated that they allow parents to stay in the room the entire time. It gave me peace of mind and let me witness firsthand the quality work and care Dr. Thomson puts into every step. Whenever something felt uncomfortable, Shon was right there holding my daughters’ hands and helping them feel safe and calm. Shon Shon was great at getting everything set up and making my girls feel at ease. Both assistants were so kind and friendly throughout the entire process. We are very pleased and so thankful for the care we received here. It truly was a great experience from start to finish!

Negative experience: Used to be great but last time I visited for a routine cleaning and shortly I was presented with a long list of procedures—many of which seemed unnecessary, especially since I had no pain or previous dental issues. Doctor was focused to make the bill higher and not to do the routine cleaning.

Negative experience: I have been a patient at this dental office for 2 years. Today I went in for a regular 6 month cleaning and asked to not get X-rays done as I am pregnant entering my second trimester and I also had X-rays done during my previous appointment 6 months ago, so I do not find the risk necessary. They proceeded to inform me they refuse to do my cleaning if I didn’t do the X-rays. I believe this is unacceptable and will not be coming back to this office.

Negative experience: When I first visited, I was impressed, but now I'm extremely disappointed with this office. I had to contact corporate office to find out why I was still receiving a bill for a service my daughter had even though I had paid it the day of the service. I called on March 3, 2025 and asked to call me back. No one called and I got another notice about the bill. I physically went to the office on March 12th to find out what was going on and needed someone to call me about this issue & to set an appointment for my dental referral from the VA. I never got a call. It wasn't until today after calling their corporate office that I found out my daughter's dental insurance downgraded their payment portion. Since this occurred, there was still a balance. All they had to do was to call me & let me know about the insurance down grade. I don't have a problem with paying the remaining balance because I know that things happen. Had I known this the bill would have been paid last month. Communication is the key to any successful business. Because of their lack of communication, I requested the VA to cancel my referral to Ideal Dental. I will be paying what is owed for my daughter's services tomorrow, but I will not be doing business with them again! So Frustrating...

Negative experience: I went in Feb 2 2024. I needed a new pair of dentures. My insurance paid v$4000.00 I was promised them back by March 10th because I was going on a cruise. Well I didn't get them. On June 2 I got my have been uppers they don't fit and I have returned multiple and they still don't fit. I FINALLY GOT MY LOWERS AND THEY DONT FIT EITHER AND THEY SAID IT IS BONE LOSS. THEY ARE THE BIGGEST FRAUD I HAVE SEEN.

Fantastic experience: At my first visit to Smile Workshop, I was looking at a a picture of this lady with this beautiful smile. I began to cry because that smile was once mine. Ms. Tori walked into the room and I was wiping away my tears, I didn't want her to know that I had been crying, and she said hey beautiful. Ms. Tori just don't know how much she lift up my spirit that day. I love Dr. K., he knows how to encourage you, so that it makes it easier on the patient and himself to do the services that need to be done. When it was time for my second visit, I was anxious and a little nervous because I had no idea how I would look with my new teeth. Baby!.....Dr. K. inserted my new teeth and he kept saying how beautiful they were, I could not wait to see them and I got teary eyed again. Ms. Tori came back to get a look and she went and got Ms. Mary and she had me to smile and all of a sudden Ms. Mary gave me this big hug! As I was leaving out, there were patients in the lobby and Sam asked me to smile, her eyes lit up like a Christmas tree and she told me how beautiful I looked with my new smile. Honey! I walked out the office with my head held high!...I was so busy taking selfies and sending pictures, I hadn't noticed that my driver was sitting there waiting for me to get into the car. Everyone from the front desk, people over the phone, hygienist, and doctors are super nice and caring. This office is very professional and knows customer service along with providing excellent care. My daughter was put to ease and felt included in the conversations when discussing the plan of action. Dr. Ali was attentive and answered all my questions. I was also allowed back in the room during the procedure. Highly highly recommend them!

Positive experience: The staff was really nice, the only thing that could of been better was that I talked to the new dentist about a chip in my front tooth that was filled by the previous dentist at this location and it was never brought up again after my cleaning I don’t appreciate mentioning something for it to be brushed off and not followed up on!

Fantastic experience: The technical part of my visit was good .. but they kept me in the chair after the dentist care for 15 extra minutes saying someone will come to discuss the next steps. No one came and I just got up and walked to the front desk . All staff is very polite

Negative experience: I called my insurance company to discuss my out of pocket costs. Spent a long time on the phone and they discovered that a code, E3911 Intaorifice Barrier was supposed to be covered by insurance. They called the office of Ideal Dental while I was on the phone to discuss and the employee stated that for a while the insurance company did not cover that code and did not know that it had changed. So while on the phone the employee stated that I will be getting a refund in the amount of that particular code. Still to this day, I forget to write down the names of the people i'm in conversation with but that should not matter. I called today to get an update on the refund and they had no recollection of anything. No notes, nothing. It is what it is I guess. No, with this current economy, I don't want to pay for something that I should not have paid for. I was told to call my insurance and go through the same drawn-out process that I did over a month ago. I really don't feel like that is my responsibility but of course I'm going to do it since I'm not getting any other help. I will not be returning to Ideal Dental.

I love them all but Denton Crossing is probably on of my favorites and where I feel most at home and comfortable. I am ALWAYS greeted with a huge smile from both Tori and Mary as well as the hygienists and Dr. Nicholson. They even come around and give me a hug and it's so special to me. I mean how often do you actually look forward to coming to the dentist? I definitely do when I am going to Denton Crossing. I had to have a deep cleaning and I was very thoroughly educated on why it was needed, I was shown x-rays and pictures and all of my questions and concerns were answered with patience and kindness. They also explained my insurance benefits in great detail and worked with me regarding pricing. When I went for my 3 mos followup, I shared that I saw the importance and need for the deep cleaning because my gums completely stopped bleeding while brushing every day. Dr. Nicholson is absolutely incredible and extremely knowledgeable. He also has a great chairside manner. I had a mix up with insurance that was in the process of being resolved and the front staff was able to help me navigate being able to get seen while my coverage was being resolved. Fantastic experience: I came here to get a second opinion after experiencing tooth pain for MONTHS because my initial dentist told me everything looked fine. The Dr. immediately noticed high points in some cavity fillings I got and shaved them down. He was super knowledgeable, understanding and so willing to help. The experience here from the front desk check in, to the dental assistant, to the dentist himself was amazing. Everyone was so sweet and helpful & the environment felt clean and professional. Fantastic experience: The staff were all so incredibly kind and patient. My son is young and has autism, which unfortunately makes these visits very hard. He will cry loudly the entire time. And I apologized a million times, but the staff never made us feel unwelcomed. They presented him with little toys and bubbles. All provided encouraging words. The dentist was so patient and understanding with him despite him thrashing around. These situations can make us feel pretty overwhelmed and down, but that is never my experience there. They truly are kind.

My teeth feel better and look good too. The dental assistants were also sweet and kind. I had a filling fall out a few months ago and they got me in right away to replace it. They were friendly as always. Unfortunately the filling ended up falling out again within weeks but they got me back in again and this time they didn't charge me at all. The new female dentist was super caring about my pain level and comfort. They were all professional and skilled.

The surgeon made the procedure go by smoothly and effortlessly from the time I was given the IV until I woke up after the procedure was completed. The Office Manager was very helpful and made sure that all my questions and concerns were answered before I left the premises. Thank you all for making me feel comfortable and at ease.

Negative experience: I had two crowns removed and I am getting two new ones. The dentist hurt me bad. I have a big sore under my tongue that hurt so bad I could not eat. I will be finding a new dentist after this procedure is complete. He's too brutal for me. It's been 2 weeks and the sore is almost gone. Just waiting for my permanent crowns. Hope he doesn't hurt me again.

Fantastic experience: Me and my daughter had a very nice visit at the dentist office, we were very surprised how nice and how pleasant everything was. The workers were very nice and knew there jobs very well. We look forward to our next visit.

Fantastic experience: I cannot tell you how thankful I am to these kind people. It’s a Friday afternoon and I was in such pain that I decided I should be seen before the weekend. I called 3 other places to see if they could squeeze me in to no avail. But as soon as I spoke with Tori- she seemed to genuinely want to help and make it work. Then I had trouble with my insurance and she helped. Then my car broke on the way over and she reassured me and they still saw me. I’m just overwhelmed with gratitude for them. The dentist is very kind, warm and gentle and I’m just so dang thankful. Strongly recommend

Fantastic experience: I was very impressed with Ideal Dental in Denton. I had a tooth emergency and they were able to see me within 30 minutes of me calling them. Front staff was very friendly. Thankfully accepted my insurance, talked to me about what was covered and what I would pay out of pocket before the procedure. My dental hygienist was a delight, made me feel comfortable and very personable. Dr. Nicholson was great as well, explained what he would be doing and made me feel at ease.

Fantastic experience: My father is 75 years old and in pretty bad shape, so it gets stressful. We have been to several doctors over the last year and most have been a nightmare, NOT HERE! Fantastic experience: I cannot say good enough things about Ideal Dental in Denton. They are always going above and beyond to make sure their patients are taken care of! Dr. Nicholson is very communicative and understanding, and I trust his treatment plans! Fantastic experience: The staff here is AMAZING! They were helpful and so very friendly. I took my daughter in and the doctors were great with her. She said they were gentle and loved that the doctor made sure she was ok throughout the process. They walked me through everything they were doing very thoroughly, showed me exactly what and where any issues were with her teeth and just included me in each step of her treatment. They answered every single question and we’re happy to do so. Not once did I feel uncomfortable or like an inconvenience for asking so many questions. Bonus….they have an Orthodontist in house! I will forever recommend them!
