Dr. Racic and her team were not judgemental and showed compassion from the start. I was impressed with advanced dental imaging. The team discussed and were open about issues they were concerned about as well as my personal concerns. No cavities for me but I had a lot of build up on my teeth. The hygienist was so kind and she really took her time to get the tartar off my teeth. She really had to work hard at it and was gentle enough not to cause me any discomfort. The office was efficient from start to finish. And you will never miss your appointment because they have a system that emails and texts you up to the very day of the appointment.

Fantastic experience: Broke back molar chewing a hard pretzel on a Wednesday and was leaving for Aruba that Saturday. Called Uptown and was able to get in to see Dr Racic on Thursday afternoon. Dr Racic and Jean were fantastic! Numbed me up and prepped the tooth for a temporary crown. In and out in a little over an hour. Made me feel a lot better knowing I was headed out of the country for vacay! Can’t thank them enough for the quick fix!! Whole family loves Uptown Dental!!!

Fantastic experience: I have so much anxiety when going to a dentist but Dr Andrea Racic and her dental assistant Jean were absolutely amazing! I calmed right down. Everything was SO thorough and then explained to me so well! I walked out of there knowing exactly what was going on with my dental issues, what the plan moving forward for my teeth were, and exactly who I was calling for referral appts and what they needed to address. I have nvr been so clear leaving at dental appt. It helps my anxiety issues tremendously. I feel so safe in Dr Racic’s hands and I’m just so grateful that I found her. I absolutely love Dr Racic, Jean, Michelle and the whole staff at Uptown Dental. They r an amazing team! And I just want to add that I was having some issues with figuring out the financials with my insurance company and Michelle from Uptown Dental went above and beyond to find out exactly what I needed on my end and explained it to me in such simple basic context that I easily understand my responsibility and i just appreciated that she did that so much. I’ve never felt like my worries were so important to medical providers before. They have made something so overwhelming and stressful to me (to the point I neglected to deal with my dental issues for more than several yrs) so easy and simple for me. They’re going thru all the work I need one phase at a time and I’m feeling so much better about getting the health of my teeth and gums back. Also I just wanted to add that Dr. Racic just saved a pretty bad tooth that I thought would definitely have to b pulled. She worked so hard on the temporary crown to make sure everything felt comfortable and natural in my mouth. I just got very lucky with her and I would put my children in her hands without hesitation and go with whatever she advised bc her care for the patient is a 100% her bottom line. Dr Racic was easily the best I’ve ever worked with when understanding the financials and different levels of options I had to choose from. I actually truly appreciated that she went and printed me out the 3 different options I had for my choices of dental work with the price ranges. So extremely helpful for ppl with different budgets. I mean they honestly couldn’t have possibly been any more helpful to me. Feeling really hopeful now about my smile Update: since the time I posted this review I have had a lot of work done. From cavities (fillings and a crown), to reconstructed root canal, to an extraction, to routine teeth cleanings, and lastly but surely my favorite.. an implant. I have been smiling so much.. my teeth feel so amazing. Dr. Racic told me at our last visit that I had no decay and no plaque. Gave me a “great job” on taking care of my teeth and I have nvr felt so good about just taking that first step and making the appt. I was so unsure and intimidated but right now, today, I can genuinely say I am so grateful I did. It really was the best investment I ever made in myself. They’re truly the best!

Fantastic experience: Here we go again. I had my 8 month journey finally end yesterday. Journey started with multiple teeth extractions, root canal, and a filling. The last 2 were not of my concern but did make my teeth health better. Of Course Dr. Chory and his staff, won’t go into detail, too Many to name in this comment are actually a pleasure to see. Over the years I realized that regular cleaning and check-ups to the dentist were one of the most important decisions most people should make. Should have started earlier in life. Start now as soon as you can and choose Uptown Dental as your go to Dentist. You will be pleasantly surprised and I mean pleasantly surprised with their professionalism, and thoughtfulness. Check them out .

Fantastic experience: Had a scheduled routine check up but had a crown come loose 2days before appointment. They had no time in the schedule for me to fix it but took care of me anyway. It was more complicated than they thought. They were patient and awesome!!

Fantastic experience: Having been away from the dentist office due to the COVID pandemic, I will be honest, I was a bit nervous. My previous dentist unfortunately had sold his practice, so at my wife’s recommendation, I chose Uptown Dental. From my initial check in with Michelle, to my checkout with Carol, it was a most pleasant experience. Adam, my hygienist, did a very thorough job taking X-rays and accomplishing a great and quite comfortable cleaning. Dr. Eamon was very professional and took the time and care to not only check my oral health, but to thoroughly explain all the issues I have now, or may have in the future. I would enthusiastically recommend anyone seeking very professional and gentle dentistry to give Uptown Dental a try. I can guarantee you won’t regret it.

Fantastic experience: I was incredibly impressed with all aspects of Uptown Dental. The receptionists were kind, engaging and showe dinterest in me. Myia, the hygienist (a term soooo below her skill). This was my first visit so Myia took about an hour to get to know me and my approach to health. from the start of our conversation, it was abundantly cler that she read - and kinda studied - my online intake form. I appreciate that the time I spent on that was not "wasted". She then took a series of x-rays and other analyses that blew my mind. AI, 3-D models and incredibly precise measurements of my gum line etc. Equally important, she was so chill - just easy going and calm. I am not one to be nervous at the dentist, but if you are, ask for Myia and she will keep you calm. Beyond this, I was super impressed with the teamwork dispalyed. Uptown has mutpie exam rooms and clinical experts on site. They worked together to share items and even come into the exam room to record readings so Myia could focus on precise measurements. Their embrace of modern technology combined with their human approach makes them, in my book, "top shelf". Finally, Dr. Racic was super impressive. She's "younger" - not young but younger. Has an increidbly vibrant personality and speaks frankly. Loved how she took serious time to review everything and offer her assessment.

Fantastic experience: Such a wonderful experience! Dr. Racic was so nice and straightforward. It felt like having a friend as your dentist. As someone who hasn’t been to the dentist in a long time, everyone was super nice and really eased my nerves!

Fantastic experience: I used to live in the area and found Uptown Dental by referral. We moved away 10 years ago now and I still travel 45 min across town for my dental work due to the high level of skill and care I receive here. In particular, they are always thorough at explaining anything they recommend or find in my dental care. I have never had them try to 'sell' me anything, a common practice when I've tried to find a dentist closer to me. In fact, it has been quite the opposite. When I asked about a 'professional' whitening kit they asked what my goals were and actually recommended a significantly cheaper option which provided exactly the results I wanted.

Fantastic experience: I just had my first appointment for Botox for my tmj- the staff couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful! It went great- I will definitely go back! Update: I’ve been coming to Uptown dental to help treat my TMJ with Botox now since June 2023! The staff (Dr. Racic, the techs, and front desk) is always very friendly and the process and aftercare are always easy and clear. Botox has made a huge difference in my well being and essentially eliminates my TMJ for 4-5 months at a time.

Fantastic experience: This office is a gem! The staff is really knowledgeable, welcoming and kind. They are open flexible hours for those of us who need evening appointments. Not only are they on time but, in my experience, early! I've worked in the dental field for over 40 years and this is my new dentist! Parking is across the street in a garage and is validated up to an hour. I truly can't say enough about how welcoming they are, give them a call and get your teeth cleaned.

Fantastic experience: I couldn't recommend Uptown Dental enough. After recently moving back to Pittsburgh, I had an issue come up with a root canaled tooth done about a decade ago. They were able to get me in next day, and the entire process was lovely. From the initial call to set up the appointment that was so welcoming and thoughtful, to the services of the two dentists I saw, Dr. Andrea Racic who examined my tooth and Dr. Adam Perl who performed my cleaning. Jean, who was assisting Dr. Racic, was wonderful too and made me feel very comfortable. Carol and Jessica at the front desk were delights. All and all, I couldn't imagine how they could have made a better impression on me.

It was our first time here and was suggested by our orthodontist at Good orthodontist for some work that needed done before they put on my daughters braces. And I am so glad we came here. Fantastic experience: I chose Uptown after my dentist of 38 years disappeared (rapture?) along with my dental records. I am lucky to have found Dr Eamon, a man who was willing to work on someone with massive sinuses and delicate facial bone structure (hard to find). “Dr E(amon)’s” bedside manner is a perfect 32/32, he also performed other tests (tongue, mouth cancer, nodes, etc) which my previous (physically and technologically limited) dentist did not. My tooth cleaning was performed by Adam, who by all accounts, is a gentleman and a scholar. Carol at the front desk made me feel at home in the well kept office, which was a pleasant surprise from what I had become accustomed to (Chevy Express 2500). I would recommend Uptown to any and all of my friends and acquaintances (in the process of acquiring both). And look forward to my semi annual appointments with Adam and Dr Eamon, who I now consider my brothers.

After two visits to the practice I can sincerely say that I could not be happier. Doctor Betty Jo and her associates are all very very caring. I can honestly say that I felt comfortable and at ease. The front office and waiting room and the dental procedure rooms are all bright and spotless and welcoming. On both visits I was taken right on time. I am a dental scaredy-cat! Same wonderful service and conversation as expected. Same friendly folks as always. This tells me that the associates are amply rewarded and pleased to be in the practice. A very tightly run ship.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Betty Jo could not be more supportive in both participating in and coordinating my dental treatment. She set up and attended a consultation meeting via zoom for me to discuss necessary treatment and has worked to coordinate the necessary steps to ensure successful outcomes. I could not receive better treatment from both Dr. Betty Jo and her entire office staff.

He didn't swallow it, but we still had 2 weeks of vacation. My cousin recommended Uptown Dental. My cousin called and told them our situation. Carol got us an appointment that evening. Fantastic experience: My mom (90 years old) visited Dr. Betty Jo at Uptown Dental for an exam as she hasn’t been to a dentist in a very long time. My mom was having many problems which prompted the visit. The staff was great at scheduling my mom quickly given her issues which we appreciated. They were very efficient and kind. Dr. Betty Jo took so much time with my mom to thoroughly assess and explain what was going on in her mouth. She will be putting together a suggested care plan together for us to review. Fantastic experience: The staff and the receptionists are great. Came in for a second opinion on a tooth that was bothering me. The dentist took a look at it and recommended me to an oral surgeon to take care of the tooth. Everyone was nice and polite, and the location is convenient that you can easily walk too.

Fantastic experience: Dr Betty Jo and the entire staff at Uptown Dental are simply fantastic! Mia is a talented hygienist and a wonderful young lady! You’re always greeted by the staff with a warm smile and “it’s so good to see you, how are you?” Unfortunately I had to leave the South Hills years ago but I continue to make the nearly one hour drive to Uptown Dental - they’re the very best!!
