Positive experience: Hygienist and dentist were fine but since dr. Pak left and his hygienists and there are only temporary dentists there we will be finding a new dental office.

Negative experience: I’ve been a patient here for several years and unfortunately my experience has been consistently disappointing. The office is poorly managed, customer service is unhelpful, and Dr. Pak’s bedside manner is severely lacking. Even when the waiting room is empty, you’ll still wait close to an hour before being seen. I would strongly recommend seeking care elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Pak and my hygienist (Maleah) are the tops in my book. I've been going to Dr. Pak for more than 15 years and this review is LONG overdue The first time I went to see Dr. Pak was on a Sunday when I'd broken a tooth. He was very kind to give up his Sunday to help me. Since then I've had regular checkups with Dr. Pak and he and Maleah do such a wonderful job that I'm no longer someone who fears or avoids going to the dentist. I actually look forward to checkups Last year, Dr. Pak encouraged me to try invisalign to straighten my smile. He told me that I needed to keep my trays in 22 hours a day, so I came up with a spreadsheet-system to keep up with that. It worked great and now I finally have a straight smile. In fact, the experience with invisalign even gave me the confidence that I could also use my logging skills to do Noom and lose weight. I've lost a significant amount of weight and while I've done the work and Noom has given me great tools to use, it all started because of my invisalign experience! Thank you, Dr. Pak, thank you, Malea, and thanks to everyone who works at Clairmont. I'm only leaving 5 stars because I can't leave 10,000! Update: Dr Pak has left the practice so when he opens a new office I'll be his first patient.

Fantastic experience: I've been seeing Dr. Pak for over ten years now. He is by far the best dentist I have ever had. Thankfully I don't need a lot of major work done, but the work I have had done was top notch. I give Dr. Pak a lot of credit for keeping my teeth healthy. 100% recommended.

Negative experience: This dentist ghosted me wouldn’t answer none of my phone call I been calling a whole week. He messed me up cause i can’t go to no other dentist cause his office done use up my panoramic X-ray I’m not allowed but one. They finally answered the phone today the woman told me to hold on and then the phone hung up. He got mad at me during one visit cause my husband called and if I didn’t answer the phone my husband been worried. I was trying to have enough money do whatever he was gonna do I know it would’ve cost. Insurance would help but not that much

I drive from Mobile 3-1/2 hours to let them take care of me since 2012. Used to live in Birmingham and moved to Mobile in 2014 but still drive 3-1/2 hours. Well worth it

Fantastic experience: I was web shopping for a Dental location because I didn't want to go back to my previous Dental Clinic. I started searching the website for another Dental Clinic and called Clairmont Cosmetic & Family Dentistry. (I'm Glad IDid)!! From the receptionist answering the call to the time I left the Clinic it's was very exceptional the Dr. & Staff was Awesome!! Very fast and professional services! I will and have recommended this Dental Location!!

My Invisalign experience is going great and the then and now is incredible! They listen and really take care of you! My adult son even travels from out of town for his appointments. They’re the real deal! My Dental Hygenist Malea is always on point, and Dr. Pak’s expertise is tops!

Negative experience: Billed twice. Clairmont Dentistry billed us AND our insurance company who paid them as well, yet they refuse to return our payment of $900 for almost a year now. Will have to bring Dr. Pak to court. They’re unwilling to resolve this.

Currently working with them for my Invisalign treatment past 9 months and results have been great and I would recommend Clairmont Family Dentistry. Negative experience: Extremely frustrating and disappointing. I made 2 appointments for myself and my son. My daughter recommended we try Dr. Pak-she is a patient there. I made these 2 appointments over a month ago during my son's spring break. I checked a week before the appointment times and was told there were no appointments and they could not offer any alternatives for new patients during that week. I was told the "online booking system still has some kinks in it." We will find another practice that is more interested in growing it's patient base.

Negative experience: Dr Stephen H Pak Do not come here he ruined my teeth and does not want to take accountability I spent 20k on my teeth and he ruined my beautiful smile and he continues to fight me. I'm in a battle that has just begun He lies he said he was going to call the other dentist office and he didn't . He is a liar . He keeps trying to tell me I grind my teeth so it's my fault. I should have listened to my daughter she didn't like him when he did something to her . Stephen allow me to receive a concussion in his office his office manager Ashley at the time made no incident report and he said it was due to me being disabled not that his floor was wet and then I found out he lied and said I broke my partial during my fall and it wasn't even in my mouth and how would he know that if his office manager didn't even write a report nor did he come out to see if I was okay. He is arrogant and does crappy work and will blame it on the lab. I spent over 1k on partials that kept breaking and he wouldn't replace that either I always needed better but his best is not good for anything just clean teeth because he is a crappy dentist that comes across as a great one.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Pack and his staff took very good care of me as they installed a temporary crown two days ago. I had little to no pain during the process. I will return in several weeks to receive my permanent crown. Dr. Pack and his staff have taken care of all of my dental work and cleaning for many years. Fantastic experience: Very happy I found this dental practice. They were much more affordable than my previous dentist. I originally came to Clairmont because I was in need of a crown. Dr Pak saw me within that next week and went a step further. He took the time while preparing my tooth for a crown to determine why the tooth had fractured to begin with. Dr Pak explained that my upper tooth had a longer section that had actually caused the damage to my lower tooth. After he explained this to me he then took the time to fix my upper tooth at no additional cost. He recognized the problem and handled it. I am so thankful that Dr Pak actually took the time to access my problem further but to know he then immediately handled it made me see how much he cares for his patients. So I thank you Dr Pak for your act of kindness. The ladies that work with Dr Pak were also great and made the overall experience awesome!!

We are a family with 2 young babies and cannot afford this, and he took no responsibility for it. Extremely disappointing do not recommend going here

Negative experience: I have been a patient at this office for nearly 3 years. My experiences with general cleaning appointments were all positive, so I decided to get Invisalign here. The Invisalign experience has been poor, to say the least. Despite this poor experience, I was not going to leave a review until now. I requested to transfer my Invisalign care to an orthodontic practice, and Clairmont Family Dentistry has delayed the transfer and the continuity of care for over 7 weeks. I do not recommend this office or Dr. Pak as a provider. Update: It has now been 8 weeks. They have not resolved this issue, despite multiple attempts to contact them over the past 2 months.

They are also quite skillful....i felt no pain or discomfort. Those at the front desk treated me as though theyve known me my life time. The efficiency of my vist was outstanding as i did not have to really wait beyond 5 minutes before being prepared for those who would clean my teath while giving friendly service. I really enjoyed my visit and looking eagerly forward to my return visit.

Negative experience: I have had services done here that were fine, but I’m not happy about how my fiancé was treated. With insurance he was overcharged ($106) They only cleaned half of his teeth and didn’t give an accurate check by the dentist. In network and didn’t even do a full cleaning with bite wings and a pan.I’ve tried to contact and not got answers. I regret referring.

Negative experience: FRAUD ALERT!!! I visited Dr. Pak on 3/20/23 for a 360° scan to be fitted for a mouth guard. (My regular dentist didn’t have the same technology and uses the traditional sticky molds that make me gag.) I informed the staff before the appointment that I did not want X-rays or any additional treatment, as I just had X-rays done elsewhere the previous month. As soon as I made it back to the exam room, they started preparing for X-rays, which I refused. Dr. Pak then told me that he saw 13 cavities that needed to be filled before I could be fitted for a mouth guard. I was given a treatment plan totaling $2751 for 13 fillings over 7 visits. Having good dental hygiene and zero prior cavities, I got a second opinion today from the UAB School of Dentistry. I HAVE ZERO CAVITIES! Dr. Pak tried to swindle me out of thousands of dollars for unnecessary procedures. I will be filing a formal complaint against Dr. Pak with the Board of Dental Examiners of Alabama.

Fantastic experience: I've always had a great experience at Clairmont dental. Dr Pak is easy going and doesn't beat around the bush when talking to you. I don't feel rushed and the billing is straight forward. Never a surprise. The hygienist are gentle and seem to genuinely care about making you feel comfortable. My work travel causes me to have to reschedule my semiannual cleaning frequently, but the front end staff are always easy to help with me getting my appointments set at a convenient time.
