Negative experience: Unfortunately I have to edit my review. When I got my treatment plan after I had to chase them down they priced 1 filling at 795.00 I almost had a heart attack. Then they said oh it was a system mistake and gave me a 160.00 price. Apparently they have system issues alot even according to other reviews too. So they Apparently need a consistent and accurate system. Because once you sign a treatment plan you are legally bound to it. They also pushed for a deep cleaning in the future saying i borderline need one, and an expensive bite guard that I didn't want because I chose not to wear one. They also wanted me to come back in 3 months because I told them in the past I have done frequent dental visits but I haven't had to do that it years. If you go here be very careful at signing a plan for what they say you need. Just a word of advice. Hope this review helps others. As I certainly will not be going back. Hopefully in the future they get their system and communication with patients worked out.

Fantastic experience: Just moved to the area. Had been with my previous family dentist for 20 years where it was just the dentist, dental hygienist and office manager. I was looking for that same intimate clinic feel. I found that here. Everyone was very friendly and thorough in explaining everything. It’s hard these days to find a dental office that isn’t a corporate chain dental office where they try to see as many patients as possible in a day and try to upsell you on procedures or get as much as they can out of your dental insurance, leaving the patient feeling like just another number. This office is the complete opposite of that. I felt genuinely seen and felt a part of my dental treatment plan in which they asked ME what my dental goals were and MY timeframe for addressing those needs. I’m pretty sure I found my dentist for the next 20 years.

Fantastic experience: The staff here are so nice and friendly! You feel welcomed as soon as you walk in. They are also great at explaining things and are very detailed. They make things easy for you and have a payment plan for any dental work needing done so you can get problem areas taken care of. That’s helpful considering any dental work is going to be expensive. Update: 2 years later and I still love this dental office! They are so accommodating and gentle. They truly care about your health and want to take care of you. It’s never too late to get dental issues resolved. I guarantee no matter how long you have put it off they can get you back on track and without judgement.

Negative experience: They recommended me to replace a crown on one of my teeth unnecessarily. The crown was not done right. There is a gap between the crown and the base. I didn’t know this until my new dentist took images of my teeth and informed that the food particles and bacteria accumulate there and causes the unnoticeable tooth decay that eventually causes the permanent loss of the tooth. Mr. Volniak and his team are not working on ethical grounds. They recommend unnecessary treatments and push you to get them done. Stay away! They don’t care about you, and don’t inform you if they have done it wrong.

Negative experience: Found this new office to be closer to work. Super helpful friendly desk, but dentist rushed my questions about future plans by repeating “what questions do you have about THIS appointment”. Decided it’s best to talk future details with past dentist (30 miles further away) who is more transparent. Paid a rescheduling fee of $75 because I cancelled too late - they offered to use that towards new appointment - which was a kind gesture.

Fantastic experience: My whole family has had great service, preventative tips, treatment, and gentle care here. Dr. Luke Wolniak and the staff are very gentle on your teeth making sure you are comfortable all along the way, never push services, but educate you about the best care for your teeth. As someone who has never "loved" going to the dentist, I actually enjoy my visits at this office. They do a great job and I would highly recommend them.

Positive experience: I've had no problem with the service I received the few times I've been there; however, getting an appointment is a nightmare. NO ONE EVER answers the phone when you call, you always have to leave a message. I lost a filling and broke off part of my tooth over a week ago. I called and left a message as soon as it happened and have yet to receive a call back. The customer service on the front end is atrocious. I will be finding a new dentist.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient of Dr Wolniak since I moved to Kansas City, and I'm very pleased that he has now opened his own practice! His style is direct but friendly, which means that the care you receive is exactly what you need. Plus his new office has all the latest technology - 3D X-Rays and what-not; I feel like my teeth are healthiest they've ever been since childhood. I also got my Invisalign through Dr Wolniak, and I couldn't be happier with the results.

He answers any question you have with thoughtful answers and explains them in simple and relatable ways that any patient can understand. I’ll never go to another dentist. Negative experience: I had such a terrible experience here. I felt forced into a deep cleaning, even though I stated I did not want one. I was told that they couldn’t clean my teeth because disease would go into my lungs and in my heart. I ended up doing it and then I was threatened a few more times by not coming in for a fourth appointment. I got a letter in the mail stating my health was at risk and that if I didn’t come in, they were gonna have to start the whole procedure over again. This definitely an insurance scam. I got a second opinion. There was nothing wrong with my teeth at all. Ironically enough, I was telling a friend about it, and she said “it was not Prairie Fields was it” because she had the exact same experience! She skipped the deep cleaning and also got a second opinion, and her teeth and gums were in excellent condition. I chose this location because it was close to my house and I actually drive by every day and there are no cars there. That should’ve have been my first sign!

Fantastic experience: EXCEPTIONAL and THANKFUL can best describe my experiences at Prairie Fields Dentistry. After a lifetime of maintaining the appearance of my teeth I suffered an injury resulting in chipped and cracked front teeth. Shortly after my teeth became discolored and I experienced a gum line issue resulting in a significant decline in the appearance of my smile. I was extremely disappointed and began to explore my options to repair the issues. The options I received included crowns, veneers and even implants all of which were expensive and time consuming. So I tolerated my condition and really did feel self conscious and reluctant to smile. It did affect my sense of spontaneity because I became so guarded and somewhat embarrassed. However, I received the motivation to restore my appearance from my daughter’s upcoming wedding. To be restrained from showing my happiness on her most special day was unacceptable. Perhaps even irresponsible so I began another search in earnest to find the most appropriate way of regaining a decent smile. The considerations of expense and procedure time became secondary but I wanted to explore any additional options before moving forward. Enter Dr.”Luke” Wolniak and his staff at Prairie Fields. Fortunately, my daughter was previously a patient and raved about Dr.Wolniak. She recalled his 3D X Ray technology when another dentist had recommended a root canal and she got a second opinion from Dr. Wolniak showing a less severe procedure would suffice. It did . Based on her experience and recommendation I had an examination and consutation with Dr. Wolniak. From that process he felt there were additional options, which he referred to as solutions because they incorporated multiple aspects of dentistry which collectively applied would achieve my goals. However, before he would make his final recommendation I would require a bone and gum examination by a specialist. I readily agreed as I was both anxious and optimistic that Dr. Wolniak philosophy of “the best dentistry is the least amount of dentistry” would apply to my situation. When the results from the specialist’s examination were received Dr. Wolniak presented his recommendation and explained how my goals would be achieved. He gave me the pro’s and con’s and a realistic expectation of the final result. All of which I clearly understood and accepted. The treatments began two months ago. They consisted of five two hour sessions that eventually addressed all the issues. These sessions were pain free and highly productive. After each session I could see the significant improvement being made and knowing that Dr.Wolniak’s solutions were working was very uplifting . The treatments have finished and I am more than delighted. It’s important to know that this was all accomplished without the options of crowns, veneers or implants. I am truly thankful for Dr. Wolniak’s knowledge and skill that he exhibited during the entire process. His willingness to understand my needs and apply his expertise is greatly appreciated. Dr. Wolniak’s successful approach to meeting my needs reflects great credit upon himself, Prairie Fields Dentistry and the dental profession. He is truly a great dentist and an outstanding individual.

Fantastic experience: I personally feel that each visit I’ve experienced with Dr. Luke Walniak since changing to Prairie Field Dentistry last year has been has been exceptional! He does his best to actively engage the patient with his assessment, his treatment planning, treatment initiation, and outcomes! He’s concerned about your comfort during treatment, teaching you during his treatment, and especially the outcome of his care and treatment for you! What I like best is that you are never just another patient. You’re special and not just another patient. I sense that his philosophy for is practice is also that if his staff as well. Also, the variance of his office hours M-F is unusual but accommodates the busy schedules of his patients. Negative experience: This place overcharges .They will also take you to court instead of send you to collections . Worst dental office I've ever dealt with stay far away. They will also tell you they take your insurance but don't . The lady told me my insurance was a bandaid and I should pay more of these outrageous prices . I wised up and went to Madison dental care they charge less even without insurance . I took my daughter . The x-ray was free and the cleaning was 100 dollars Yes you heard me correctly. I would give prariefields them zero stars if I could.

Fantastic experience: I can’t say enough good things. I went there today for a cleaning. Everyone was so nice (which I really don’t care much about) and most of all they were SO reasonably priced. I have a lot of dental work I need done and I’ve had quotes before from places in the area. They were by far the most reasonable and were so helpful with navigating my insurance. If you need a new dentist - don’t look any further! I cannot recommend this place enough!!!

Best option was to remove. Had it extracted 2 days ago. They apply a topical ointment to num before even giving shots. There was NO pain involved with the procedure. The dentist here has a wonderful bedside manner and knowledgeable with his work. Got a bottom brace that is so much more comfortable than what I had previously. If you need a dental appointment, you have to come here. They will get you all set up.
