Negative experience: I made an appointment for my husband as a dental emergency due to a broken tooth. I made the appointment through zocdoc. I called the office to give my dental insurance information and was informed they only accept cash payment on Sunday as they are unable to verify insurance on Sunday. This is not a good practice and no where on line do they disclose this. This practice advertises dental emergency but expects the customer to pay cash for it if your emergency falls on a weekend. No way, this practice is no help and no consideration toward someone in pain with a dental emergency. I have insurance for a reason, I should be able to use it even on a Sunday. Your office decently did not earn our trust or business.
We are very sorry your husband had to go through that and that we did not meet your expectations. We understand how painful and stressful a dental emergency is and regret that our insurance verification process prevented you from using coverage at that time. Some insurance verifications require access to electronic systems that are not available outside of normal processing, which can unfortunately require payment at time of service, and we apologize if that was not clearly disclosed online. We will review how we communicate our policies and train our staff so future patients are not surprised, and we appreciate you bringing this to our attention.
Fantastic experience: Fantastic dental office. Cody is so friendly and always accommodating. Juan is great at communicating my dental plan and how much the cost will be, always with a smile. Today I had a deep cleaning - Renee did my X-rays and polishing. She was so y efficient. We even shed a few tears over the passing of Dolly Parton. Heidi did my deep cleaning and was fantastic. Overall super happy either way the office and office staff l!!

I had an impacted wisdom tooth causing significant pain, and they were able to schedule my extraction for the very next day. Cody at the front desk was exceptional. After a somewhat difficult wisdom tooth extraction years ago, I was expecting unavoidable pain, but I only felt slight pressure during the procedure, and it was over in less than 20 minutes. Negative experience: It looks like my previous review was taken down. So I’m writing it again. I went to Tustin Smiles (more like Tustin Lies is a more appropriate name) for a routine cleaning. I thought I might have a cavity but I also have very sensitive teeth so I wasn’t sure. They told me I needed two crowns and a root canal! I thought that didn’t make sense but they had taken x rays and were showing me the areas of decay. I went to get a second opinion from Dr. Ryoo in Fullerton based on a friends referral. He was out of my network but took X-rays for free to compare with the ones at Tustin Smiles. He found no need for crowns or a root canal, he found a few cavities. He saved me thousands of dollars and a painful surgery. I moved out of state a few years ago and went to another dentist who also never found any tooth decay or need for a root canal or crowns. These people are disgusting liars. It is literally criminal what they tried to do. Please don’t ever go here!

Negative experience: As of June 2026, please do not come here!! as a returning patient this office is completely disorganized. I’ve booked an appointment one week in advance and I let the team know about the insurance provider. My appointment was in the morning. The day I showed up, I was prepared to get four services done and a cleaning. I’ve waited a while to book this appointment and came far…. The day I show up, I’m told that the receptionist agents who took my appointment didn’t connect my insurance provider to their office … and whose fault was that .. the teams! No way am I going to show up for a second time? When my plan was to get all my service done the first time… waste of time and horrible management!

Fantastic experience: i AVOIDED coming to the dentist for a year to get a tooth out because i’m terrified due to a bad experience at another clinic i had gone to. coming here was the best choice ! from patient care to the treatment itself. they really focus on giving you what you need asap w gentle care ! cody and every other staff made my visit great & felt peaceful. they weren’t there just to yank out my tooth. they heard and made conversation with me to calm my nerves & it worked ! Doctor was amazing ! was attentive with it all and gave me time to breathe till i was ready. i can say i felt 0 pain for both the anesthesia & the extraction. the “pressure” everyone online says that you feel while getting an extraction, none whatsoever ! didn’t feel a thing.

Negative experience: Belated negative review. Went in because I had a gum infection and was taking antibiotics in parallel. The doctor’s recommendation was downright to cut the protruding gum off, suggesting no alternative treatment. I had to push back saying I want to monitor how my gum recovers after a couple days before making the decision. (And everything did heal after antibiotics). Disappointing to see the doctor jumping directly to the most costly (and painful) treatment without second thoughts.

Negative experience: This clinic is an absolute outrage! I came in with a broken tooth, it was quite urgent, and I wanted to have the tooth pulled. I made it clear I wasn't going to pay for the crown. I'm here on an exchange and I'm not paying $1,000 for a new one. The Romanian dentist (I am sorry I don’t remember her name) completely ignored me and said we were going to put a new crown in, even though I said I refused, TWICE! Then they went on to pull my wisdom tooth as well. No one cares about my wisdom tooth and it wasn't even out there to be pulled. I came in with an infection, not to have my wisdom teeth pulled! Not to mention, I've never heard of anyone having just one wisdom tooth pulled. They came after me saying that supposedly It wasn't covered by insurance and they wanted me to pay over $4,000. I refused this very tempting offer and said there was no way I was going to pay for it. When I said it would be cheaper for me to fly to my home country and have my teeth fixed there, they suddenly reduced it to $1,400, which I still refuse to pay. They were just trying to get money out of me. I'm a student and I don't have the money to pay that amount, not to mention I know full well I don't even have to pay that amount! It's not embarrassing for them to steal from young, foreign students. Either they think I'm stupid and naive or they were trying to take advantage of my urgency, but one thing is certain - they were trying to make money off me. Disgusting. Response: It has nothing to do with professional care. It was strictly business and don't try to tell me otherwise. I've worked in sales and I've worked in insurance company either, so I can tell when someone is trying to sell me something. You're using people's health as a weapon to make money. Not to mention you didn't email me your proposal as I requested, which is quite common in sales.

Fantastic experience: Just this year I decided to switch dentist and I came across this place that my brother recommended. My first visit here was great! They are so kind here and welcoming. They even remembered my name on the second visit. Something that I also liked is before they do any procedure on you they tell what insurance does cover and what it does not. If your insurance does not cover something they ask you first if you would like to proceed before starting. A lot of places now surprise you at the end with a charge before evening getting your approval. I have visited here twice and will be coming back :)

Fantastic experience: Came in for a simple (and complimentary) consultation and resulted in having to get my wisdom tooth taken out. I’m currently waiting for my insurance to kick in but as surprised at how cheap it was to get one tooth removed. On top of that, the vibe and environment was very hospitable. I felt super comfortable with everyone, especially Dr. Borno and his assistants Gabriel and Israel. They even put The Weeknd on for me to soothe me. Fantastic experience: Went here after i felt my previous dentist has been screwing me and overcharging me. My experience has been great. Cody and the staff have all been amazing and welcoming. Even if a mistake is made, they work with you to fix it and make it right. Also unlike my previous dentist, they also don't constantly try to pitch overpriced/expensive dental hygiene products (electric toothbrushes, water picks, etc.) Just like you want to find a doctor who's honest and actually cares about you, the same goes for a dentist and these guys are the ones.

Fantastic experience: Wow! Don't go to any other dentist office but here. I came here after I went to different dentist office and they performed a horrible procedure on my tooth. Cody not only was so kind and got me in right away, but they continued to work with me the whole time and even made me feel better about what I was going through. they saw me right away, the dentist was incredibly reassuring, and the front office staff all go above and beyond. Fantastic experience: This was my first visit at Tustin smiles and it was a great one. Called to make an appt because i had some excruciating wisdom tooth pain. They were able to get me in the next day. Went in not knowing how the process would be and what i would be out the door coat-wise. Dr. Mursean is very knowledgeable and makes sure you understand all of what is going on in a way that makes it easy for you to understand. She’s also very personable and makes you feel so comfortable sitting in an otherwise anxiety-inducing chair. Brianna and Juan walked me through the entire process and what i would expect. They treated me as if I was a close friend or family member and I’m so grateful for it. Will be returning for future dental work!

Negative experience: The staff was very nice... BUT I'm very frustrated after receiving an itemized bill. I repeatedly told the office manager and dr I would not be doing an implant on my back tooth. I did not realize the payment plan they worked out for me included implant charges. I feel very hussled to say the least. It is not a good practice to manipulate a person into a service -one they explain they can't afford, don't need and wont have installed so your business can profit. Its not at the well being or request of the patient. There was a lot of back n forth financing should be worked out prior to medicating people so everything is up front. I realize I have great insurance but services should not be based off what your business can gain but what a patient has a medical need for. The office manager should have been an auto salesman.

Fantastic experience: Dr.shah is an excellent Dr and treats his patients with respect , professionalism and kindness he dose a great job at his work as well as a periodontist, Dr. Patel he also does an amazing job at his work he did some of my extractions and they were painless. Fantastic experience: Katy and Dr. M and Dr. Shah took good care of me. No one was ready to ex tract wisdom tooth they did . Kd , Israel and Cody were very helpful. They took their time to walk me with all my treatment. I would recommend anyone looking for a dentist. anyone looking for emergency dentist these other people who can handle it. Update: Just finished my implant and it was a breeze. Best experience ever with the dentist. I highly recommend people come here. You will be in great hands. They will inform you of all your needs and options. As well as payment plans, they will work with you. Half the price of any other place around.
