Negative experience: Came in with a chipped front tooth. Dentist fixed it with cheap filling material. Filling was see through and did not my match my tooth. 5 months later filling fell off completely when I sneezed!!! Never coming here again!

I hadn’t been to a dentist in about 25 years because of a bad experience in the past, so I was pretty anxious walking into Surprise Lake Dental in Milton/Edgewood yesterday. But the entire team made me feel welcome, comfortable, and at ease right from the start. It was just a thorough exam — no cleaning this time. They explained everything clearly without any pressure or judgment. Turns out I need two crowns, and we only did one right now. The process was smooth, and the team was caring and gentle throughout. I left feeling relieved, informed, and actually motivated to stay on top of my dental health. If you’ve been putting off going to the dentist like I did, this is the place to go. Fantastic experience: This was my first time at this dentist, and I had a great experience. The process of being pulled back, surprising them with my pregnancy and making them work as a team to determine if an x-ray was safe or needed, and how we were going to go about my treatment felt natural, not stressful, and not rushed. The treatment plan made complete sense to me because the doctor spent plenty of time with me explaining what was going well and what could use some work. Highly recommend!

I don’t have a preference on either dentist . Dr. Shou and Dr. Han both have done an excellent job working my teeth . I never feel anything and they always have great recommendations and explanations on future steps. I always know what I’m going to be paying before I go into anything . They play music, you always hear them humming along , it’s oddly calming when you have nerves . Just a great place. Great people that care .

The dental and front desk staff are always so kind and helpful too. During my time as a patient, I spent a long while living in Tacoma. Although it wasn't always the most convenient to commute from Tacoma to Milton, I stayed with Surprise Lake because I always have a great experience when I go in, and I trust that they will do an outstanding job. When I have questions, they are good at providing me with detailed explanations in a way that I can understand. I intend to continue going to Surprise Lake for my dental care for the foreseeable future.
