Fantastic experience: In my experience, Dr. Amy has been thorough and attentive in her care. She takes the time to listen to my questions and concerns and does her best to provide detailed explanations, helpful information, and guidance. Most importantly , I used to feel nervous and uncomfortable about going to the dentist, but Dr. Amy always makes me feel at ease and well cared for during my visit. I also really appreciate Dr. Lo. When I had an urgent dental issue and needed treatment, she did her best to take care of me and was very understanding and attentive to my concerns. I would recommend this dental office to anyone looking for thorough and attentive dental care in a comfortable and welcoming environment.

Fantastic experience: I always have great experience with Cupertino Family Dental. Everyone is incredibly friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. They are detail oriented and my teeth and oral health are always well taken care of.

Positive experience: Not good not bad

Negative experience: I had a very bad experience trying to get Invisalign done here. I did not interact once with Dr. Lo to go over my Invisalign plan; I only interacted with the Invisalign technician Jess. Several years ago, my friend who got Invisalign here said Dr. Lo was very thorough explaining the plan and changes she requested they make. Something must have changed between now and then because I never got to speak with Dr. Lo about my concerns; my only point of contact was the Invisalign technician. This office never did ClinCheck review with me (this is when you go over your Invisalign plan with the Dr and and ask questions prior to the Dr putting in the order for the trays). The first time I saw my Invisalign plan was the day they were going to put attachments on my teeth. The plan involved doing IPR on TWELVE teeth which seemed excessive to me because enamel does not grow back and my teeth are already sensitive. I told the technician I was not comfortable with this and to send it back to Invisalign and ask for a new plan. I then asked her a series of questions (over email) about the plan which she was unable to answer. Regarding photos (not scans) before starting treatment, they did not take any photos with teeth retractors, only an iPhone video. They did not closely look at my bite and how it would be impacted by treatment. The technician here said Invisalign was unable to accomplish my goals (correcting a deep bite) without doing IPR on 12 teeth. This is patently false because I am now at a different provider who has provided me with a plan to address my deep bite with IPR only on ONE tooth; the new orthodontist also said the original plan I had received would have worsened the bite contacts on my teeth and unnecessarily rotated other teeth. I would recommend going to another provider (specifically an orthodontist) if you want to do Invisalign instead. It is easy to transfer your Invisalign case (the providers do this on their end) if you have not accepted any trays.

Fantastic experience: The dental hygienist Alice is very attentive. At every visit, she take the time to share helpful tips on dental care, which I really appreciate. I’ve always been very satisfied with their service and would highly recommend them!

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience at Cupertino Family Dental. The dental hygienist was extremely professional, gentle, and thorough throughout the entire cleaning. She took the time to work through each step, which made me feel very comfortable and well cared for. The office itself is very clean, modern, and well-organized. You can tell they take hygiene and patient safety seriously. The equipment also seemed very up-to-date and well maintained, which gave me additional confidence in the quality of care.

Fantastic experience: I had a great check up with Alice! What stood out the most was how gentle Alice was throughout the procedure. She was very mindful of any sensitivity and frequently checked in to make sure I was okay. Instead of rushing, she worked carefully and patiently, which made a big difference in my overall comfort.

Positive experience: place is clean and organized, and their work here is professional. dentists are knowledgable but i was offered a treatment plan that i personally felt was really overpriced. justbe wary that for the level of procedure it will be expensive and know that sometimes they do try to upsell when its not needed

Thomas is truly an exceptional hygienist. His work is very gentle yet incredibly thorough, and he has wonderful patient management skills. He’s especially great with kids and families, making patients feel comfortable, calm, and well taken care of throughout the visit. Fantastic experience: From the moment I walked in, I felt very welcome by the friendly staff! The space is very welcoming. I’ve only ever been to one other dentist office, so this was a big change for me. I loved how holistic my new patient visit was. Dr. Lo went above and beyond to learn about my history and talked about my overall health not just the current state of my dental hygiene.

Negative experience: The teeth cleaning itself was good, and I was satisfied with the dental care. However, my overall experience was negatively affected by the front desk staff. The new front desk lady (wearing glasses) was very poker-faced, rude and came across as unfriendly, which made the visit uncomfortable. A front desk role is often the first point of contact, and a positive, welcoming attitude is important for patients. Unfortunately, that was lacking during my visit.

Negative experience: I have been going here for almost 3 years, everything was fine till they hired a new receptionist who is EXTREMELY RUDE! Like extremely. Talk to you very very rudely on the phone. Cancels your appointment abruptly. Just rude. Once i finish my care im not going back again. I love everyone else though.

Negative experience: Received an unexpected charge without prior notification by the dental provider. (seems like others have the same issue as me despite being in network)

I have had bad experiences in the past with dental offices but left this office with a peaceful heart that I was in great hands. My concerns and questions were heard and addressed. She helps understanding the insurance and finances so well. Dr. Jacqueline L is very experienced and takes time to explain procedure and answer questions. They are very professional and thorough. Thanks for giving 3 years of reliable care and setting such a high standard of care - I truly miss it.

Negative experience: AVOID unless you want to spend $$$$ here. Although they mentioned providing complimentary night guards/retainers when they talked my husband into getting Invisalign treatments, the staff acted like that never happened and tried to sell him even more when we brought it up after the treatments. The services are overpriced, and the prices are negotiable when they're trying to sell you the night guards, which makes it clear something’s off. The staff may seem friendly, but I would recommend going somewhere else that seems more honest.

The entire staff from reception to billing to dental care are thoroughly professional, friendly and caring. They have really earned the "family" in their name.

However I have been to these kinds of offices where the staff was not so great…Most importantly HERE, starting from the office assistants, Nancy and Cassie to the dentists is a genuine feeling of warmth and welcome. Everyone is kind and attentive and most importantly transparent about the services required and the cost. Dr Lo was so kind it influenced my decision to choose this office, out of so many in the area. Dr Amy is a specialist, she put so much care and attention into the procedure it was impressive leaving me barely feeling any pain when the numbness wore away(contrary to my expectation) For someone who was most resistant of any dentists chair, I feel extremely confident recommending this office to anyone.

Jessica was just an amazing x-ray person and Dr. Lo and Dr. S. Lin made me feel very comfortable with their explanations and over presence. I felt blessed to have them treat me. Then I got my teeth cleaned... I'm usually not very good at taking any kind of pain but Thomas the hygienist made me feel at ease and was very gentle and the results had me feeling like I always want my teeth to look like this. He gave me some pointers on how to maintain good oral health and was very thorough yet fast. They are all reasons why I am now a new patient of theirs and recommend everyone to go to them.

Negative experience: I would stay away from this dentist unless you are willing to spend $$$ for the nice deco and average service. They told me that they were in network with my Delta Dental insurance. When my daughter had the fillings done there, I received a bill 5x more than her previous pediatric dentist. When I compared the charges, I found they simply charged more for the same type of services. While both of the dentists were paid for similar amounts, this office sent me a bill 5x more than the other! Only when I was able to do an apples to apples comparison on my daughter’s case, I realized how much premium I had paid for my own treatments (in thousands). Dr Lo was only nice to me when was paying for the extra treatments. She stopped coming to do final exams once I switched to do cleaning only. This clearly tells me that she cares more about short-term financial gain than long-term customer care.

Fantastic experience: I had a bit of a dental scare and a friend told me about Cupertino Family Dental. Despite the last minute notice, they managed to fit me into their schedule. The skill, professionalism, and empathy displayed by everyone, from the receptionist to the dental assistants to the dentist, helped me feel completely at ease and taken care of. I can't recommend this practice highly enough!

Negative experience: Coming here is one of the biggest mistakes I’ve ever made in my life. I paid 4000 dollars only to be in more discomfort then when I was before I walked in the door. I now have to pay another dentist to fix Dr. Sinyen Lin’s incompetent work. My experience with Dr. Lin has completely changed the way I view medial professionals. Some of them are not concerned about your well-being. Some of them just want your money and to get you out the door. Zero communication. Zero concern for comfort or convenience . I had to come in for 10 appointments to complete an operation that I’ve never heard taking more than 3. When I finally called and complained about how many appointments this was taking, I could sense Dr. Lins anger with my “impatience”during our next appointment. He took it out on me by being rough and not giving me breaks in between drilling. When he finally finished I got home and realized that the two fillings he did had melted together and I now couldn’t floss my teeth. When I went back to fix the fillings, he drilled giant spaces between my teeth that now cause me pain anytime I chew on that side of my mouth. Do yourself a favor and do not come here. Do not bring your kids here.

More specifically, Dr. Lo’s knowledge depth, expertise, clarity, patience, keen listening ear, detailed follow up from my historical records, and genuine interest/care, leaves nothing but joy in my soul. Recently I was attended by a new Dr. (Kim i believe). He equally matched my expectations and left no stones unturned.
