Fantastic experience: I was referred to Dr. Tanner recently and have been so pleased. The entire team is fantastic!

Negative experience: I have become increasingly frustrated with Tanner Smiles as Dr. Matt takes over from his father. One, they no longer accept my insurance which is in the top 3 of most used insurances for dental. Two, getting charged for adjusting a product I got from them, promising that they will look into it then forgetting, then getting a call 7 months after asking for payment. I loved Dr. Robert Tanner, he is a kind man. Dr. Matt Tanner is all about that money.

Fantastic experience: Dr Tanner and his staff are always first class in quality and professionalism. My family is very thankful we have a dentist who provides the best dental care we’ve ever experienced.

I really appreciate her attention to detail and telling me how I'm doing with my home dental care. Both Dr. Tanners give a thorough exam and they are kind and gentle.

Fantastic experience: They were extremely kind, curious and accommodating about my chronic health conditions that kept me out of the dentist for years. They were willing to think outside the box to best help me access dental care and make this as comfortable and low stress as possible. They were very disability friendly in my experience and I'd bet this treatment extends to the way they approach neurodivergent patients as well. It is very rare to find this level of care existing throughout a clinic.

Fantastic experience: The best dental office and dental experience I’ve had with any dental place and any dentist I’ve seen over the years. The dentist is very kind and takes the time to explain any questions and concerns. I never feel rushed or not listened to. When I’ve had a dental procedure done, he cares that I’m not feeling pain or am not uncomfortable about what he’s doing. The hygienists are also so very nice, kind, and friendly. Jill, who handles billing, is so very nice and helpful and always understanding. Their receptionist is also very nice and very efficient, as well. I actually look forward to going there, which may be odd to say! Kindness and a knowledgeable dentist and staff make it a great experience!!

Fantastic experience: From the moment that I stepped into the office, I felt welcome and relaxed. The employees at the front desk are very pleasant. The Dental Assistant who took photos and x-rays of my mouth was very professional and well-trained. Dr. Rob spent more time examining my mouth and talking with me than any dentist has in my entire life!! Then the Dental Hygienist did an incredible job cleaning my teeth!! Tanner Smiles is a very professional dental office and I highly recommend them!!

Fantastic experience: This is the best dental office that I have ever been to. We moved to the Issaquah area in 2024 and needed a dentist to support our family. Dr. Tanner and his team have been very welcoming to myself, my husband, and our children. My children love coming here and their office makes what could be a scary event for children (adults too) and makes it a comfortable event. The team is also consistent, you see the same dental assistants and front desk when you arrive for your appointment- it’s not a rotating door on employees which tells you the positive kind of environment you are walking into. Overall, couldn’t ask for a better dentist. Great communication, clean office, and friendly staff.

I never feel the injection when I need a filling, and my teeth always feel great after going. I used to be terrified of the dentist before going to them, to the point where I would have panic attacks in the chair, but now after being with them for years, I am not scared anymore. They handle every patient with care and make me feel safe. 10/10 would recommend.

Fantastic experience: My family has been going to Tanner Smiles for over 15 years. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and Dr Matt has been a great addition. They always walk through the pros and cons of different treatment options. For example, I had a couple of really sensitive teeth with fillings that were done be a different dentist. Dr Tanner hypothesize that those fillings could be causing the sensitivity. One option was to have them redone, but doing so wasn't a guarantee that the sensitivity would go away. I appreciated being presented with enough information for me to make an informed decision.

The hygienist who cleaned my teeth yesterday took extra time and care for my comfort and I appreciate it so much. The whole staff is friendly, professional and thorough. What more can you ask for?
