Fantastic experience: I saw Dr Fickes at Foundation Dental as an emergency visit when my dentist couldn't get me in after breaking a tooth. To be honest I wasn't happy about going outside of my dentist practice even though they are a sister practice. I may be switching.....staff is amazing and Dr Fickes as caring and listened to my concern. Although I love my hygienist at my dentist and I like the last dentist I had I am definitely considering giving them a chance. The billing procedure is so much more acceptable. I currently have a credit of over $139.00 at my dentist and no mention of reimbursement.

Negative experience: Was very disappointed in the dentist I had. I went in for a particular repair and a new partial made. I did receive the repair. Xrays were taken and was told I needed work. When I went back I had 2 teeth that had old fillings in them. Never had a problem with them. Wasn't told dentist was going to remove my old fillings and put new ones in it's place. Now my teeth hurt are very sensitive and can no longer chew on that side. When I asked about my new partial I was told I couldn't get one without a deep cleaning. I refused the cleaning so cant get a new partial now. Plus due to not explaining the procedure of removing my old fillings I now have pain that was never there before.
We take patient care and satisfaction very seriously and are glad that we are able to work with you to rectify the situation. Please do not hesitate to contact us for additional support, and we look forward to seeing you again!

Negative experience: I’ve never left a bad review in my entire life but if this helps anyone I will be glad because I wish I would’ve seen something like this before going to this dentist. I have been to so many dentist, oral surgeons, you name it. I came here to have some cavities filled, they messed up my tooth I had to come back THREE times to get my bite adjusted and each time it was still not correct and I was in excruciating pain, not to mention the “dentist” didn’t do anything, didn’t do the fillings, didn’t check when I came back for the 2nd bite adjustment and the 3rd time I came back I asked specifically for the actual dentist to check, she wasn’t even going to look inside my mouth, only showed me the x ray stating I need a root canal. I got a 2nd opinion at another office and they said your bite is still messed up (4th time getting it adjusted) they took care of me and my pain went away immediately and said I do not need a root canal. This is quite literally the worst dentist I’ve ever been to, you can go anywhere else and they will be better than here. So unprofessional, rushed and clearly Money hungry.

Negative experience: *Update- Met with specialist, got charged $350 and they stated there was nothing wrong and were very confused on why Foundation Dental referred me to them* I’ve been going to Foundation Dental since I was a kid. Back when it was Dr. Peter's practice, everything ran smoothly. But since it changed ownership in 2020, things have gone downhill fast. This year alone, I’ve been there about six times. Each time I’ve gone in for a specific issue, I’ve left with more problems than I started with. They’ve caused additional damage during treatments, which has now led me to see a specialist for something that wasn’t even an issue before I walked through their doors. Their response? “We’ve done all we could.” What a joke. On top of that, their billing is outrageous. I paid my balance in full at the time of the appointment, only to be hit with surprise follow-up charges and phone calls asking for more money. It feels like a scam. I've canceled all future appointments, and my family has done the same. It's disappointing to see what used to be a great local practice turn into this mess. I strongly recommend avoiding this place unless you want to end up with more dental issues and an even bigger bill.

Fantastic experience: I called early in the morning about getting my daughter in. She’s 5 and has a tooth abcessed. Canton pediatric dental wouldn’t even work with us and wanted an obscene amount of money to even touch her (with insurance). Foundation dental staff were sooooo professional and so caring when I expressed my concern. I live up the road and they got her in within 10 minutes ! Dr Derek was amazing to her as was all the other staff. Every single person in that office from the front staff to the back end staff did everything to make sure she was comfortable and all of my questions being answered. So thankful I found this place and even more thankful there’s still caring people in the world like these folks !

Fantastic experience: Such nice dental hygienist here! Not only that but, the two different dentists, Dr Derrick and Dr Kristen were both really nice. Dr Kristen gave a Novocain shot that was the best I’ve ever gotten. Crown was beautiful, too. Office gals were great and work it all out with insurance. I’m of an age that deniers horrible when I was young and left me with dental ptsd lol. These wonderful people sure make it easier. Thank you!!!

Fantastic experience: Very gentle and quick on scheduling! I called and had an appointment the very next day for a loose filling. They fixed the issue the day of the exam which was definitely not expected but sooo appreciated! They did a fantastic job drilling the old loose fillings out from years ago with a previous dentist and replacing the new fillings. I get anxiety super bad with dentists but they were quick to reassure me and explained their every move. I highly recommend them.

Positive experience: I absolutely love the dentists and staff. I was so excited to find a dentist office like this but the billing department seems to have issues. The statements don't reflect what I have already paid and very hard to follow. I have worked in billing and understand how insurance works but still can't figure out how they come up with the balance owed. Unfortunately, I will be looking for another dental practice for my son and I because I don't want to have to try everytime to figure the bill out and billing staff not to be able to explain it to me.

Fantastic experience: Can't say enough good about this office. I have skipped the dentist for the past 3-4 years and now trying to catch back up. I had a root canal that needed done and already having bad anxiety at the dentist they made me feel extremely comfortable. Never felt a thing during the procedure. But my great experiences so far don't stop there. While sitting at home a few days later I was having extreme pain once again. Figured I'd try to call the office to see if they have a answering service. I left a message on Dr Derek's voicemail and surprisingly got a call back very quickly on a Saturday night with him calling in a prescription to knock the pain down. I can definitely say I think I found my new dentist!

Negative experience: Bill you with an estimate before your insurance is even billed. They also canceled/had to reschedule several of my appointments. They are not a very straight forward practice. This is not the same place as when Dr. Peters was there or his son. Pretty sad but I would not recommend this place I went there for years most of my life. But not very reputable They take advantage by saying your child needs something done then bill it as a cosmetic code. I would definitely not recommend this place.
