Negative experience: Was supposed to go in for a crown. They Didn’t schedule the right appointment. Waited for 40 minutes to be brought back only for them to tell me that they have can’t do anything for me.

Fantastic experience: Ive been dealing with some intense tooth pain. Only just discovered emergency dental appointments were a thing. I made one for the following day and I cannot say I have ever had a better visit with a dentist. Every single person there was patient and understanding with me. They talked me through things and made sure I was okay. They were amazing and while I did have to get a tooth pulled (which aas to be expected) not once did they make me feel bad for the state of my teeth. Dr. Elsa and the staff over all were wonderful to the point I switched to them fully after this. They truly are wonderful and now I have been able to sleep and not have so much pain. Im doing better than I have in a long time

Negative experience: They been giving me the run around for the last few months. Instead of doing what clearly needs to be done , they will have you constantly scheduling appointments to prolong the process.

I had a very bad experience when I was very young and for this reason I neglected my oral care. After becoming a patient with Familia Dental I am no longer scared and can't wait for a new smile.

Negative experience: Never submitted a referral to see a dental surgeon and will not answer the phone to clear up situation. I was also billed additional amount due to technician not being able to take proper X-rays so insurance didn’t cover all the additional X-rays that had to be redone due to errors on technicians part. Would not recommend!

Positive experience: I've been coming here for several years and overall the dentist and hygienists and very kind and respectful. I have had a few issues with scheduling and Appts being cancelled at the last minute because of Drs taking off. But overall the Dentists seem good and I will keep coming back.

Negative experience: My services were not provided because the office did not submit a prior authorization to my insurance. I was not advised if this until after sitting in the dental chair for 45 minutes, only to be told I would not be getting seen today because they were short staffed and did not contact my insurance which is the offices responsibility. The staff was very rude and condescending. I did speak with a manager Kim. She was extremely rude and did not offer any resolutions besides rescheduling my appointment for mid January. I was also advised an inaccurate dollar amount of 173$ by phone at my appointment reminder and then upon arrival told I owed 328$. Very inconsistent information given. I am currently waiting for a call back from Kim's manager. It's 1:42 pm on Friday Dec 12th

Negative experience: What I can say about Dental Family is that they are terrible at cleaning. I don't know if they do a good job with other services, but the work I received was the worst. I can say that I do a five-star job cleaning my teeth at home, and I have insurance that covers one cleaning per year, and they are charging me over two hundred dollars for my son and me. It's unbelievable, but I wouldn't pay even five dollars for that ridiculous service.

Negative experience: Have been going here for years..started off going on the west side location..every once in a while you will be seen by a very gentle and empathetic provider but it seems they leave soon after and you will be placed with someone else. Most of the time my fillings have been done very fast. A few years ago the dentist fixing my teeth complained of his back hurting and had me hold the tools for him because his assistant was not available. Those were poorly done fillings, which contained chips and cracks. I had another provider numb me and get straight to drilling without giving the Novocaine even 3 minutes to set in, also leaving large gaps when filling my tooth that food gets caught in. This most recent appointment orajel was not used before sticking me with the Novocaine shot, instead he just counted down waiting for the shot to kick in..didn't use an overhead light, didn't fill my tooth completely and didn't file it down so there's uneven bite. I am at home now and can't be seen for days, not able to bite down or eat food without pain and scared to even brush my teeth or go back.

Positive experience: UPDATE BELOW - 10/2025 still have cracked tooth and the dentist that i have is not there today called me in the morning 2 hrs before my appointment time to let me know, now have to wait for a week to get there,, guess you cant see anyone else UP DATE Got a new dentist and she is great.. talks to me ..explains thing so even a 5yld would understand ...and gives me options! ...have a new plan with her and my teeth are getting the care they need.. no more pain!

Fantastic experience: They did a great job and and was in and out with xrays and a deeper cleaning in less then 1hr for $139. The lady holding the suction tool did press a bit hard on my gums causing quite a bit of pain but I pulled through. Tooth brush and toothpaste provided after cleaning

Fantastic experience: Familia Dental staff is always very nice & friendly.. The place is huge from it's waiting area to the many treatment rooms. I'm glad I found them .

Negative experience: Staff do not communicate, dentist's are rude, keep you waiting for over an hour for appointments. They messed up greatly on my insurance to send the claim too despite me reading off all the member ID numbers to them over the phone multiple times. Also informed me I had a past balance for payment from 5 years ago during Covid, but they never sent a letter or called to inform me that I owed anything. My address never changed nor did my billing information. They blamed it on their billing service not working correctly at the time. I always pay my dues and on time too, however despite me paying $100 for a visit in full a week prior to having a cleaning scheduled, they not only waited 5 years to tell me I owed them anything, but also waited a week after already paying in full for the last appointment I was at to tell me that I owed over $300. Everything was a mess and I will never be going to Familia dental again.

Positive experience: Overall, it was GREAT, I was surprised they polished my teeth before they cleaned them also they didn't floss my teeth?

Negative experience: Check in was good . Cleaning went well. However.once my son got out side he had a huge baseball size blister on his arm and 3 small ones. So our next stop was the ER. And doctor was not sure if it was allergic reaction.im not sure if their chair did t malfunction. And some how caused a burn. Since my son would not be able to feel it.due to an injury to his arm he has no feeling. When I attempted to call can’t reach no one and was the 45 th person on hold.when finally got a call back . Had to repeat myself 4 time to the CSR .Who also could not reach anyone at the office. Are you serious.no matter what caused it. Some one should have been able to reach the office to make the staff aware. Blisters are still there and large. Honestly I have concerns about going to my own appointment later this week there.

Fantastic experience: It wasn’t as expensive as i thought it will be out of pocket and i was able to get everything done the same day. I felt no pain or discomfort. Fantastic experience: My experience there started when I walked into their office after leaving work early because of my toothache. I did not have an appointment so I checked with the lady at the front desk to see if they had any openings that day. There was one appointment later on in the day so I said I would take it, as I was giving her my insurance cards and ID I had started to cry. My tooth pain was so severe. I had been suffering with it for days, that day being day 5. My tooth was cracked and you could see that the nerve was exposed! I could not deal with the pain anymore, I was miserable! She seen the tears in my eyes and asked me to hold on a moment and she went in the back when she came out to the front again she said the doctor was able to see me right away! I started sobbing. She looked at me and said you obviously are in severe pain and I don’t want you to wait. This was an emergency situation to have it out. I was so very thankful and completely relieved! The staff members were really friendly and very comforting. The doctor was kind and showed compassion. I don’t know what I would’ve done without them seeing me right away on an emergency basis. I can’t thank the staff and the doctor enough for what they did! I’m so appreciative of them! Absolutely 5 stars!

Fantastic experience: All personnel were friendly,. I'm professional. I was seen on time. Dentist explained what the x-rays showed and what he needs to repair. It was my first visit. I have 2 additional appointments. I'm confident I will receive excellent care.

Positive experience: Well I got appt. Fairly soon, I saw a patient walking towards the front desk, asking if someone was going to come back! It seems you will need patience cuz there’s several people being treated simultaneously by ur dr. I wasn’t given an estimate of treatment to be done , iask my dr. And she said she didn’t know at that moment. . Not normal to verbalize the work without an estimate for next appointment. I’ll go to my appointment and see what happens! My dr is very personable so I’ll ask again for estimate. Lots of kids there so that’s cool seeing them interact one was doing cartwheels in waiting room. I’ll update later

Negative experience: If you go here make sure you get Dr. Sharpa. The lady dentist is a complete sadist and extremely rude! If you want your dental work to last, go to Chrome Dental. They also accept Badgercare/Medicaid.

Fantastic experience: 100% Recommend this place! They got me in VERY quickly! I saw Dr. Sharma today. I have an extreme fear of dentists & usually avoid them at all costs. But he was kind, funny, and took the time to explain to me what's going on with my teeth and what options I have. He wasn't condescending at all, even though my teeth are in pretty rough shape at the moment. He helped me figure out a plan, and I feel super safe getting dental care from him. The dental assistants I've met today were also super kind, reassuring and gentle. I highly recommend him as a dentist. (July 2nd, 2025)

Negative experience: Just brought my wife in today for an emergency antibiotic and the lady just randomly left for the day and didn’t send in the prescription…. Our appointment was at 11am.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Garg was very responsive, patient and informative. Her assistant was very efficient and kind. Was a pleasant visit, even though I get anxious with dental care.

Fantastic experience: I had a very good experience here except when making the appointment for an extraction and I got in the chair and they were expecting to do a cleaning. But the worst part of everything was the needle pokes, which I think is normal.

Negative experience: Sharma suppose to be pulling my tooth and my whole back of my throat swole numb still feel pain in my tooth lip everything else not numb he gave me 4 injections

Negative experience: I called to set up an appointment for tooth extraction it was scheduled Tues 4 pm I drove from Marinette wi 45 miles only to be told my appt wasn't until Thurs at 10 am . I was sent a verification text message that showed Tues at 4 pm. I could not get an answer as to why .I returned on Thurs 10 am. And had the extraction . Over all my experience started out not so well .we will see how things go with scheduling with future visits .

Fantastic experience: Dr was very good . Fixed a filling that fell out with no numbing meds . Go back in a year , felt like it was a good experience!!

Negative experience: I normally come to Familia Dental Main St to get my teeth cleaned, but after not visiting for 3 years A LOT has changed. My appointment was at 4pm, I checked in at 3:50pm. I didn’t get called back until almost 4:15, then I sat in my chair after my 1st set of XRay for almost 45 minutes waiting for the Doctor to come “check out my teeth”. Well she was very rude & didn’t even attend to my teeth (came in for a routine X-ray & cleaning) for no longer than 10 minutes. All she did was use the water flosser/scraper and didn’t even get all of my teeth. No brushing, no flossing, NOTHING. Then she has her assistant “polish me up” and take me to the full head X-ray (2nd set of X-rays). Very rushed, overbooked, and definitely was not about the customer service they should be offering to the patients. No tooth brush or floss given. I left at 5:12pm over an hour worth of my time for a 10 minute “cleaning”. Worst experience ever. Then when I tried to explain my teeth and why it was a the way it was, she disregarded what I had to say, and said “it’s my job to recommend you to get fillings”. Now mind you half the teeth she was stating I had “cavities” (2 teeth) on have been that way since my adult teeth came in. And then another pair was because of the coating they put on my teeth AFTER I got my wisdom teeth taken out (4 years ago), which stained my back molars. All in all. Receptionist was amazing & very attentive. The rest just did not care.

Fantastic experience: It’s was easy and comfortable to be there and all the workers there are nice people and out going made me feel safe

Negative experience: Took my 4 yr old for her check up, I understand kids might be challenging when they’re crying but if your services include services for kids you’ve thought they could be more helpful and understanding but instead her dentist kept saying “why isn’t she listening?I’m gonna have to stop, she needs to stop crying and whining “and just being so negative, they gave my daughter toys and she took them off her hands because she was crying. Dentist and being touch by a complete stranger is scary for kids, if this dental doesn’t understand that then they should just specialize in adults only.

Negative experience: After about 6 mo. of trying to get some cavities taken care of went in for another appointment and now they say "Oh the cavity's are too bad now you will need 2 root canals. Mind you they canceled at least three appointments so I had to keep making more appointments . They dragged out the treatment for so long the cavities "are too bad now". Of course now they can bill for root canals instead of just a couple cavities ...smh

Fantastic experience: Dr Sharpa was so easy going, respectful, quick, thorough but most importantly he knows his profession. He went far beyond what I expected. He is my new dentist. Very nice dentist. I’d say Cool!!!!

Negative experience: Clearly that dentist didn’t know what he was doing, I’ve also been here more than once and they have: 1.not numbed my mouth enough to the point you see physical discomfort in my face, 2. The assistant kept shoving the thing to suck spit into my throat which I kept gagging from, 3. When I got my chip tooth filled and it was okay until I noticed that it was shaved to far up and has been noticeable ever since, 4.today I came and the dentist that “cleaned/polished” my teeth didn’t have an assistant to help them there for spit was dripping all down my neck, face, splashing, etc and yo top it all of when brushing ONLY MY FRONT TEETH tooth paste was shot up my nose and again there was copious amounts of Floride on my teeth so thick that it was getting in the middle of my crooked tooth and gum, I haven’t had one pleasant experience here and IM 16. The 1 stars I give you is MORE THAN GENEROUS

Negative experience: I was rudely treated, nothing was given to help me even though my whole right side of my face was swollen beyond normal. I felt like my situation didn't matter nor did I matter just as a person.

Fantastic experience: The young man at the desk taking appointments was so pleasant and helpful! Our dentist was so wonderful to our Down syndrome daughter! He explained everything for both of us to understand! Thank you for your kindness!!!

Negative experience: They give you an appointment at a certain time and they see you 40 minutes later, then they let you in to be seen and leave you waiting for the doctor for another half hour. They do the cleaning and X-ray, and they don't even tell you what's wrong or right.

Positive experience: I thought both ladies were very nice!!! My experience was a lot better than the last time I visited the location on west mason. I was a little disappointed that I couldn’t get my concern addressed right away but overall people were a lot nicer!

Fantastic experience: Familia Dental saved my life. I was going on 72 hours without sleep due to a 10 out of 10 tooth ache. It's incredible what a little pressure under a tooth will do. Called them on a Friday morning at 10am and they had me in the chair 2 hours later pulling the tooth. Thanks to Arun for doing an incredible job pulling the tooth. Only 5 minutes after being numbed up Arun had the tooth out. All in one piece, roots and all. He sutured it up so not to get dry socket. It turns out Arun is a oral surgeon there only to do the extractions. Never thought I would get a dental surgeon at a standard dental office. And they took Badger Care Plus which was a life saver. As the freeze started to wear off I could feel it was really going to hurt, but, as the day went on the pain got less and less. Until when I went to bed there was literally no pain anywhere! I'm not kidding, no pain anywhere. No pain killers what so ever. I went on the get 10 hours of sleep that night. I never thought at 10am that morning the day would turn out as perfect as it did. I would have given it a 1% chance of turning out like that. Thanks Arun for doing an incredibly good job.

Negative experience: I know the tooth is had extracted was a tough job. But I was in there for over an hour+. The dental assistant had no clue what she was doing. She didn't even know her left from right when taking my first x rays. The only thing she was in control of when I had the procedure was the suction tool to get the blood out of my mouth, at multiple times I felt like I was getting water boarded with my own blood to to her lack of knowledge of her job. I almost got walked out multiple times before the dentist was even done with his job once before my final xray to see if the job was actually finished, and once more before I even completed the finalizing paper work. It could have been a resistance to the numbing meds but I got a minimum of 8 shots to keep the tooth numb and I still felt it all. It might have been my most traumatic experience with a dentist and not gonna lie most people hate the dentist but this took the cake. I legit felt like I was in shock after this experience. I could barely sign my name afterwards I was shaking so bad and the dentist was so over worked he went to another patient in the middle of me asking recovery questions. Only plus side is my insurance seemed to cover it all, even though the dentist said I owed 65$ but when I asked the receptionist she said I was good to leave.

Negative experience: I went to my appointment and when I got there he asked for my insurance card and ID which I gave him. He than started telling me that they don't take my insurance there. So I told him that I had called a couple week's ago and even asked them if they take my insurance and the lady said yes they do. Iong story short is you need to have better communication because I checked and my insurance does cover me at Familia Dental. But now it's to late because I am going somewhere else.

Negative experience: My experience with this place was horrible. I went for cleaning and it was the worse experience ever had. Very unprofessional , no flossing, the polishing machine was not working properly they didn’t use any paste and was done in less than five minutes, the doctor that performed the cleaning was very harsh and rude , she was working alone and because of that she sprayed water all over my face, and water was dripping out of my mouth going down my neck ! Thanks God the cleaning didn’t took more than ten minutes . Never ever I am going back to this place again

Negative experience: DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILDREN HERE! Just took my kid here for a filing and my son started crying as he was putting the numbing gel on his gums and instead of the Asian dentist reassuring my son just went nuts and goes if he is going to cry i can’t help him! NEVER AGAIN WILL I BE BACK HERE! Hello the dentist is scary if for any kid and you did nothing to make sure he was calm

Negative experience: Drive-through dentistry. The 1 star reviews and comments are accurate, so I won't beat a dead horse. I'll give it two stars because it takes Medicaid, which I am forced to use at the moment. Beggars can't be choosers. It's also probably why the place is the way it is.

Fantastic experience: This dentist office is tops! Dr Q and his assistant Emily were great! I got my appointment in a reasonable amount of time, and I'm happy with the service. The office is very clean and they even have a play area. The dental team really make a person feel important and comfortable! Dr Q even had a little background music playing while he worked on my teeth! I just recommended familia dental to a friend

Fantastic experience: Dr. Kaur was so pleasant, polite and soft spoken. It's been awhile since I've had my teeth cleaned. And she was able to take care of me swiftly and efficiently. I am super happy about my results today! I just want to say thank you! I'll be back again!

Fantastic experience: Being one without dental insurance one can't help but wish the USA had universal health care when emergency dental issues arise, but Familia was very upfront with prices both times I have needed dental work were able to do the work in a very timely manner. All went well and I'd plan to return if need be. The staff was very friendly and highly competent and willing to explain what was needed and what was happening. Very recommended...

Fantastic experience: Service has gotten a lot faster compared to even just a year ago. Everyone is super nice. My daughter was scared to get a tooth pulled because last time she got one pulled it hurt really bad. But this time around we had an amazing doctor and she got it out in seconds and it didn't hurt my daughter at all. I'm definitely going back to see her again!

Negative experience: When told to set up appointments, told the scheduler which HMO we had. Scheduler said they'll call a day before appointment to let us know if they accept it. Didn't receive no call. I called to verify before appointment and was told hmo was accept. Got to appointment and was told it's not accepted. Worst communication ever.

Negative experience: Booked for an appointment for my daughter, showed up and no one is dressed like they work at a medical professional place (sweatpants, old shoes), basically got turned away with no further help for her toothache (which was the point of the booking), and gave wrong information about insurance and where it’s accepted. Just overall feels like no one there would like to do their jobs.

Negative experience: 3 times I scheduled an appointment and took off work only to have the clinic cancel my appointment at the last minute. Today I was already in the parking lot ready to go for my appointment when I received the phone call. This is the worst service I have ever experienced. I have decided to pay more to go to a reliable company that is out of network with my insurance! Horrible service!!

Negative experience: This place is unorganized and not good from the very start. I should've went somewhere else after my first visit but I decided to give them another chance and went back for my cleaning. 1st visit: I made a new patient appointment online for a teeth cleaning and to check on my sensitivity on one tooth, it was confirmed through email and text. I go into the office the day of my appointment and they tell me I don't have an appointment anywhere in their system. I told them I made the appointment online, they told me that people who book online, their appointments aren't syncing with the office appointments so that's why nothing was scheduled on their end. They squeezed me in anyways and I waited 30 mins. They did an x-ray on the tooth I told them was sensitive and an all over x-ray of my whole mouth. They said they couldn't do a cleaning this time but they will schedule me one in 2 weeks. 2 visit: I go in for my teeth cleaning, but was told it was scheduled as a recheck for my sensitive teeth only. They somehow managed to squeeze me in for a cleaning. They do more x-rays, which I found kind of odd for a cleaning but I didn't say anything and just let them do their thing. Then they proceeded to do the cleaning... I have to say it is the WORST CLEANING I've ever had in my life! She started with the tool that scraps and had the water sprayer spray in my mouth while she was doing that, it was spraying in my mouth up to my face the whole time and the water sucker tool was in my mouth but she only used it a few times so water was dripping out of my mouth onto the side of my cheeks and dripped onto my chest! Sooo unprofessional and messy! And just like that, she said okay you're done. It was all but maybe 10 minutes. No polishing, flossing, cleansing, or anything. She told me to go make my next 6 month cleaning appointment upfront. I just walked out and left. No thank you! I'll never return to that place again!

Fantastic experience: I wish I could remembered the guy who I saw earlier this night for my first tooth extraction. He was really great. My original dentist was out this week and I had an appointment for a dental extraction today. A different dentist was available to help me with the extraction. He did a really great job at helping me get relaxed and reminding me to stay relaxed during the tooth extraction. He did a wonderful job at removing the tooth quickly and without pain. I would consider a tooth filling more stressful and painful at that time than the extraction I just had. I am very grateful for the dentist that I saw. I appreciate it a lot of how wonderful he did with making me feel much more comfortablethant I was expecting for a first tooth extraction. I had anxiety for years over getting this tooth pulled.

Negative experience: really not a fan of my visit, was very unprofessional, there was an assistant behind the front desk throwing tantrums about “helping” someone, my dentist never told me what was wrong with my tooth, and my dental assistant soaked me while brushing and rinsing my teeth laughing the entire time she was doing anything. I would not recommend going to this place period

Negative experience: Horrible first off they have been canceling my appointment since June for fillings on my right side it’s been months I’ve had cavities growing so now I have pain so I go in finally they just take X-rays and penicillin and send me on my way I asked about my fillings I was told I’m lucky they didn’t cancel me today cause it’s thanksgiving and nobody wants to be there I was rushed out and left the same way I came in I was so upset I literally cried when I got to my car this toothache is so bad it would not be this bad if they wasn’t canceling appointments granted I canceled some too for safety reasons still not ok to be rushed out and told what was told to me

Fantastic experience: Staff was very professional and friendly, clean facility and listened to our concerns and addressed them appropriately. My boys loved it. I would even add they’re special need friendly.

Fantastic experience: I went in for an exam and cleaning and told them my teeth are very sensitive. They were very gentle and kind and answered all my questions. I would recommend Familia Dental East to anyone. The receptionist was very kind as well.

Negative experience: I wouldn't tell my worst enemy to go here! After waiting 45 minutes for the dentist, I was told she needs sedation. That's the reason I drove an hour to go here because they told me the have sedation. The hygienist asked for help twice for help with a x-ray and the person told her no. Even after the dentist told her to. Way over booked.

Negative experience: They were very busy and hurried through my cleaning; I thought a cleaning would take longer than 5 mintues. I hoped for a treatment plan to be developed as well. I had to remind the assistant to schedule my filling appointment. My root canal was covered through my insurance at Familia Dental a few months ago now it isn't. It has been a struggle to find reliable, caring, & accurate dental care.

Fantastic experience: I was in and out in 10 minutes getting an impression made for a partial I’m having done. Mico (sp?) was very friendly, efficient and professional. I recommend Familia Dental for any of your dental needs!

Fantastic experience: They were very quick and helped me with a unique need of mine. The assistant and dentist listened to exactly what I was requesting, took an X-ray to make sure the bone had healed, then removed the bracket support from my teeth. The dentist was sure the shave down all the excess sealant left on my teeth as well so they look exactly the same as before the accident.

Negative experience: Made appointment two months in advance, received confirmation text from automated system and confirmed appointment the day before. I showed up this morning for my 8 o'clock appointment, and the front desk has me scheduled for a different day 3 weeks away. Do not recommend.
