Negative experience: They cancel appointments without telling me

Fantastic experience: Excellent staff. They are able to get me in same day for a cleaning. This might be highly unlikely but I have never had that at a dentist before. Doctor's exam was thorough. The dental hygienist was excellent

Negative experience: This use to be a great place to go! Constantly cancelling appointments now! On the search for somewhere else to go!

Negative experience: I have never been so disappointed with the communication of a business as I have with this place. We are new to the clinic because of our insurance. Back in January I made all appointments for my family the new patient exams along with the cleanings. I had no issues with myself, Morgan was my hygienist and was amazing. My husband had Tasha and liked her as his hygienist as well. So now fast forward to my daughter and son’s appointments. Back in March they were scheduled for their exams but the clinic cancelled due to the snowstorm, they cancelled via text message and said that they would contact me to reschedule, never heard from them at all until yesterday when my daughter was due for her cleaning they cancelled her appt an hour before she was to show via text message saying they couldn’t clean her teeth because she didn’t have her exam first. I was irate!!! I called them after receiving that text message and totally blew up. Number one, never did I receive that call to reschedule the exam, I thought oh maybe they will do it all that day of cleanings because of them having to cancel my kids appointments. Nope, was I wrong when I received the text an hour before my daughters cleaning that they cancelled that one as well because she didn’t have her exam. So now appointments that I had made the beginning of the year for my two kids are now pushed out until June and their first cleaning opening isn’t until October which the cleanings I didn’t book for them just the exams for now because I’m going to have to give up mine and my other sons sept cleanings just so my other two kids can get theirs done as they are a year over due on cleanings now. If our insurance covered elsewhere I would change but now I’m stuck no matter what and it frustrates me. It’s all because of communication that makes me want to leave, never did I have any issues with the hygienists. They were amazing!

Negative experience: Had a 'dental exam' that was 2 minutes long. There wasn't even a dental pick in my mouth once! $48 for 2 minutes is pretty expensive. When I questioned this, they said that the hygienist does the probing (at my last cleaning) and they don't charge for perio charting. Which they shouldn't if they don't even do it. So basically a hygienist does your exam and then you pay $50 for a dentist to agree or not?? And they may or may not give you 'free' perio charting. If you want an exam and a dentist to do it, go elsewhere!!

Fantastic experience: Went for my most recent cleaning on March 17th. I mentioned a concern of having a sore area near a certain tooth. The culprit was a popcorn kernel! I was so glad it wasn’t something more serious and the pain was gone.

Negative experience: I have been dealing with a completely unacceptable billing issue since November 2025 with no attempt from Dental Associates to resolve the issue. I was sent a $475 bill in November 2025 with no explanation for an X-ray that was done in April 2025 that my insurance had already paid for plus I paid the out of pocket amount at the time of service. I have called repeatedly to resolve this and have been told a billing manager will contact me. Not once has anyone from Dental Associates attempted to contact me, and I didn’t receive a bill for three months and have now received 4 in the last week. I have called 5 times today unable to reach anyone because “all lines are busy” so I guess I will have to physically drive to the location to resolve a billing issue from a treatment that was fully paid for almost a year ago. This level of unprofessionalism is frankly appalling at such a large company and completely unacceptable. Myself and my family will never seek care at any Dental Associates location again. To add insult to injury, the X-ray was not at all needed, it was insisted on by a dentist there but was a non-issue evident when the oral surgeon looked at my past 10 years of X-rays. This extremely frustrating situation was entirely created by Dental Associates with no attempt to resolve.

Negative experience: Didn't tell me anything about what to do with my tooth they just removed. Literally went from removing it to planning the next appointment for cavity. Didn't mention anything about the healing. Or any other pertinent information to what they literally just did. Did not talk about what was going in place of the tooth at all. Gave me a piece of gauze in a bag and I was on my merry way I guess. Too corporate casual for me. If you know what you need done before going, this is the place. If you dont know/want to know your proper care plan, this is not the place. More concerned with in and out the door than if they're doing what's best for you. I had a big bump under my tooth that was all my nerves under my tooth swollen bc I had a bad tooth that got capped. I assumed removing tooth would help make it go away. No, when they were numbing my jaw they jabbed a needle in those swollen nerves making my jaw even bigger, not to mention the swelling from the tooth being removed. I had this bump under my tooth visible in my jawline for at least 8 months. I was expecting antibiotics at least to help reduce inflammation. Im not a dentist so im not sure what to do or how to go about that and doesn't ever seem like they care what's going on as I've been dealing with this for a year and a half since I got it capped through them. They have never mentioned it once. Now there's no tooth and they gave me no further direction.

Fantastic experience: My hygienist Carrie is amazing, I love seeing a friendly face and getting to catch up with her during my cleaning! The front desk is always friendly when they greet me.

Positive experience: Had a crown replaced today, Dr Daryl and associates were a pleasure. Appointments were easy to make and on time.

Fantastic experience: Best dental cleaning ever. Nicole is very experienced and thoughtful. Painless.

Negative experience: What a joke of a clinic to work with. They send you to collections without verifying if you have active dental coverage. I was thinking you ask for the dental card to verify coverage before hand! I wouldn't recommend this clinic to anyone! Don't go there if you are a person of color!

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Dental Associates in the village of Howard for several years now, always satisfied great service and friendly faces.

Positive experience: Doctor Meyer is amazing! She is always very kind, considerate and i really really appreciate how she tells you what she’s doing and seems to really care about your comfort. My only complaint is a couple of the younger assistants have not been very gentle and don’t seem to take into consideration that the patient is a person, and I can feel it every time with how they wack around or pull the tool. They just don’t seem to care about the patient like Dr. Meyer, and only view this as a job. However my visit before my last the assistant was very sweet and went out of her way to show kindness. That’s all patients want when they walk through the door, the feel seen and treated kindly. Especially when appointments can be nerve wracking or being back news. update: it feel like the staff has definitely improved. I don’t remember my new Dentist name but he was so kind and very concerned about my teeth improving, not just when I should come back. My hygienist was also fantastic, she kept asking me questions to help me get to the root of the problem and even tried to help me find a tooth paste i might not be allergic to.

Negative experience: I would never recommend this dental office. I had a crown that lasted not even three years and they would not do anything to compensate me for a new one. My new dentist said it was so thin on one side that that is why it broke. Now I can’t get the new one covered by my insurance because they only cover a crown every five years because they should not break. I would never go back here nor would I recommend it to anybody. They were going to pull a tooth that wasn’t even the problem. It was a crack in the crown that they should’ve been able to see. Thankfully, my crown before I Let them pull my other tooth that was not even the issue.

Fantastic experience: I visited Dental Associates after not being to the dentist for an extended period of time. They were amazing and developed a plan to get things back on track with my oral health and I couldn’t be happier. Thank you again Dental Associates.

Fantastic experience: Everyone at this facility has been very professional. Appointment times are prompt which is greatly appreciated. Morgan, the hygienist who cleaned my teeth is friendly and very proficient, she made it enjoyable.

Negative experience: I have a couple chipped wisdomteeth, since they are in plan network, I figure I will try them out since I have bad experience with Familia Dental work before. First treatment was nice, seems to go will but the repair only lasted couple months. Then I revisit and they said they can't repair it but to pull it out otherwise it would cost $7k to $10k to fix that one teeth. Not only fixing my problem teeth, they told me I need whole bunch other work needed on other teeth. They didn't fix my problem teeth but want to do whole bunch work that I didn't go in for. They didn't file clain to my insurance but keep sending me the bill. I keep waiting for this to clear so I can go somewhere else for second opinion on my repair. If anyone know of dentist that does quality long lasting repair please let me know. Dental Associate is just as bad as Familia Dental. What is wrong with Cigna in plan network Dentists? Thanks in advance.

They are very pleasant to converse with they make you feel like they’ve known you. For a long time, not a stranger there no matter if you come twice a year 10 times a year you’re treated with respect and kindness.

My insurance has paid the bills but yet they keep billing us and they refuse to call their billing company to verify payment and want me to do it? Horrible experience. Won't be going back. And they are booked out a year on dental cleanings? I cancelled my appointment with them due to to that.

Negative experience: I’m looking for a new dentist and heard positive things about the ones at this location. I like to get the “feel” of the place before I make appointments or transfer my care to a new place. When I walked in I heard the young women at the desk talking about drinking alcohol, “boot and rallying”, and then driving home when things were “kind of blurry”. I walked right back out. I’m not a teetotaler by any means, nor naive about the decisions people make, but to hear this being talked about loudly with patients waiting… really put me off. Just plain unprofessional.

Negative experience: I have horrific anxiety about the dentist, I get so stressed out to the point where I think I'll faint. Upon walking in to set up an appointment, I saw a blonde haired woman cutting her leg hair with a scissors. I had heard great things about the dentists here, but seeing something so unprofessional really pushed me over the edge. I ultimately decided to leave without talking to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Morgan is very nice. Very little waiting

Negative experience: This place is wacked. Takes weeks to months to get an appointment only to have the filling fall out. PRO TIP: Call right back and get a different person. Your available appointment times will magically change by weeks or more. Had to schedule a consultation first before they will even schedule an appoint for a filling. Pretty simple. I need a new filling people. They have ZERO openings for emergency repairs. I don't know where the disconnect is but we have had repeated issues at all levels of service. WIll not be renewing once our insurance comes up.

Fantastic experience: The office was very clean and presentable receptionists at the front were very kind and pleasant. Ann cleaned my teeth was absolutely amazing. Excellent personality and absolutely great at her job.

Fantastic experience: I have been with the dental associates for well over five years if not more for both me and my son. Our experiences have been quite different, and that I love the relationship. My son has built over the years with his hygienist; so as a parent she has been, great about communication working with us if we have any questions with regards to our sons, oral care and it’s just been amazing to take notice to that as he has gotten older and built a relationship with her . I have appreciated the care and relationship built over time with my hygienist and that from the moment you get there the welcome has been amazing. The receptionist are great about letting you know what’s going on and the whole staff and office themselves are really great about communicating things. And I believe that’s where any gray customer service experience starts is the way people communicate with one another about the service and everything else.

Negative experience: The CSR at Dental Associate Howard were very unprofessional. They need trainings on how to answer inquiries and not be condescending. My Dentist and cleaning lady is superb tho.

Positive experience: Scheduling can be a bit tricky, I assume due to staffing. My dental hygienist Morgan was the best though. She handled me with the kid gloves I needed because I'm terrified of all things dental related. She made me feel very at ease and reassured me when I needed it. She talked through everything with me and definitely made me feel much more comfortable coming to my next visit.

Positive experience: I have had some of the best experiences with dental associates in Howard. I have some teeth that need to be pulled and was referred to the Green Bay office. Trying to get an appointment is almost impossible as I never get a call back when they say they will. It’s been weeks since seeing my dentist and first trying to set an appointment. Waiting for a call back today. If not I’ll have to look elsewhere because the pain is almost unbearable.

Fantastic experience: It's been awhile since I've been to the dentist and had issues that were caused by my wisdom tooth. I came into my extraction consult appointment a month ago overall just really nervous and unsure. In general I don't like doctor offices/dentists after some past trauma experiences- and life goes by and things happen where you can't always get in for appointments. Alan who is a technician/assistant there made sure I was comfortable and put me at ease. He has a great energy and answered my questions and just helped me relax. He is wonderful, understanding, and an asset to the team. Thank you Alan you are a wonderful tech and person. Dr. Anderson was phenomenal too during the consult and extractions. My extractions were done in 10-15 minutes with prep time with the extraction part just a minute.I took the numbing shot and nitro and was awake during it all and had no pain. Him and his assistant during the extraction was so great today. I'm bad with names but the lady assistant during extraction today was wonderful. Going to the dentist may seem normal or routine for some, but for me it wasn't and I was cared for as a person with respect and understanding. Thanks all I am relieved from worry and pain.- Bethany

Fantastic experience: Everyone here is so wonderful, from the time you walk in to the time you leave. Wendy was so welcoming and helpful at check-in. my hygienist, Ann, is amazing at what she does and so friendly making you feel comfortable while you’re in the chair. Dr. Meyer is knowledgeable and great at explaining everything she is seeing and doing. I’m happy to have this team of dental professionals keeping my smile happy and healthy.

Negative experience: It seemed like they allowed a student hygienist to work on me and she did a messy job. When I drove home I still had chunks of toothpaste behind my front teeth and in my molars (just had a cleaning). To top it off, they performed an xray and charged me for it without first checking to see if it was 1) necessary 2) something my insurance would cover. It was a simple preventive exam so not even necessary. I even offered to have my xrays and records sent over from my previous dentist before my appointment but they said they take care of that. Apparently taking care of it means just doing what they want and then charging me. Completely unprofessional.
