Fantastic experience: I met Dr V. at our church and through our daughters weightlifting meet and my wife and I were super unhappy with the practice we were at previously. So we decided to see if they accepted our insurance so we could make a change and we are so glad that we did and felt like it was most certainly a God send. The office is gorgeous inside, staff is super friendly, professional, courteous to your individual needs. They answered all of our questions and concerns and also provided us with world class care on our evaluations, X-rays, and cleanings they even checked the muscles in our jaw bones and muscles which no one had ever done before. We are so blessed to have found a permanent dentist to call home. Dr V. Is the best around and will be the one taking care of my family’s dentistry needs. Another cool thing is he has a whole other practice for beauty aesthetics which my wife also will be using for things like Botox, lip filler ect. Highly recommend this practice it is second to NONE.

Fantastic experience: By far the best dental exam and cleaning I’ve ever had! I’ve gone to many dental offices in Charlotte county over the last 20 years and Caringway Dentistry went far above and beyond every one. The office staff is extremely friendly and kind, which is worth noting because that is not always the case. The front desk ladies are sooo helpful. The dentist, Dr. V, was thorough with my exam and explained any concern he had with my teeth in a way that made it easy for me to understand and he even prioritized what should be addressed first and what needed to just be watched between now and my next cleaning. Now this is the part that will explain why they’re getting a 5 star review from me— the last dental exam I had (6 months ago) quoted me just under $1k to do the work I needed (I think it was $988 to be exact), so I went into this appointment at Caringway knowing that I needed some things done… I was quoted (to address the exact same teeth and issues the other office quoted me for) $170!! BOTH practices accepted my insurance so one using my insurance and one not is not what is happening here. Both quotes I’m sharing are AFTER insurance coverage. The difference? Caringway is HONEST. And that’s why I’ll be staying here! Other things worth mentioning, the office is updated in decor and very clean. A lot of dental practices in Charlotte county are outdated but this one is nicely decorated and modern. Based on my first visit here I would rate them 10/10. There is not one thing I could list that would steer them out of a perfect score.

From the folks at the front desk who are always so kind and polite and greet you by your first name as soon as you walk in to my personal hygienist Crystal who does my pain free teeth cleaning i say a special Thank you. Oh and the Doctor at this place isn't too bad either. Just kidding doc wouldn't think of going to anyone else you're the greatest always take time to talk to your patients are very informative and very thorough. I went to caring way Dentistry mainly because of the reviews but also to get a second opinion and so glad I did the folks at caringway Dentistry saved me thousands of dollars compared to what my previous dentist was trying to rip me off for Unnecessary work.. one less thing I would like to add is that all their equipment and techniques are state-of-the-art I've never had a dentist in all my 66 years do so many high-tech things for my teeth as caringway Dentistry I could not recommend this place enough if you are going to any other dentist in Port Charlotte you are missing out on the best

Fantastic experience: My recent appointment for my semi-annual cleaning Brandi did an excellent job! She is thorough explaining all issues and suggesting remedies to prevent issues from occurring down the road! She is one outstanding hygienist!

Fantastic experience: First of all, an apology is due to Dr. Villescas for my error in the rating star that I had hit. In Mar./ 26 i went to Caring Way Dentistry and was very happy with Krystle , my hygienist. On April 13, 26. My wife , Donna went for her scheduled appt. Both of us are so happy to once again be getting dental care from Dr. V and returning to Caring Way Dentistry. Dr, Villescas has done a wonderful job in giving his patients so many options and services. Office is relaxing and receptionists are very pleasant. Dr. Villescas retained a Hygienist that i am familiar with and was delighted to see her again after 15 years. Having dental work done can be quite challenging and stressful. Krystle , is such a confident , positive, happy and delightful person and a Remarkable Hygienist. Dr. villescas has also communicated and followed up with my dental office in the North. Negative experience: I originally gave them a good review right after my extractions and fitting for my dental clips in August of 2025. Since then my clips have lost a tooth and another clip broke from eating a buttered roll and potato chips. Now I'm extremely pissed and would caution anyone to use this dentist. I never got a clear explanation of what I was getting or the quality. I was told I had 3D manufactured clips and they were the top technology. The repairs were $400.00 out of my pocket because I would never go back to this rip off service again.

Positive experience: An eight-year patient with Craig Way. My first encounter with Dr Villescas, who took over the practice from Dr Boyd Gilleland 6 months ago. My longtime dental hygienist is apparently no longer there, which is too bad. Came in for routine cleaning and got x-rays and a “plan” for two more visits. No cleaning but the same charge. And the new team wants to shorten times between visits. I’ll finish the “plan” but not happy.

I came here burned and honestly, traumatized from a bad experience with a dental office I won’t mention. The staff at Caring Way are so down to earth, kind, and professional. It took a few visits to complete the work I needed and every experience gave me back my confidence. Not just regarding my dental health, but my trust in going to the dentist. Dr. Villescas is fantastic. He explained everything, was patient, and treated me like a whole person. He asked questions to determine my priorities and educated me about all my options and what to expect. Fantastic experience: Had a bad motorcycle accident, had broken teeth, one below the gum line and Dr. V and his professionalism was able to cap the tooth that was broken after the accident. Also fixed the chipped teeth from the accident. The whole staff is great and very professional.

Fantastic experience: Professional, knowledgeable and overall extremely welcoming are the first few things that come to mind when mentioning Caring Way Dentistry. I suffered silently for years with TMJ due not being taken seriously as a patient with other providers. Dr V listened with open ears and not only offered relief, but put together a plan for continuous recovery. You will not regret visiting them whether it be for basic maintenance or more severe issues.

Fantastic experience: I had my first visit on 1/27/25. I was promptly greeted by the receptionist upon entering which is wonderful because not all offices do this anymore. I was immediately impressed with the facility, very clean and decorated beautifully. I did not have to wait long before being taken back by Ashley to start my visit. I tend to get anxious and nervous at the dentist but felt comfortable with Ashley and truly appreciated her warm and welcoming demeanor. After my X-rays were completed Dr. V came in for my exam. He was very thorough and took his time to answer all my questions. After having a not so pleasant visit at different office I was very thankful for my experience at Caring Way. I have already scheduled my next visit and will without a doubt be recommending them to friends and family.

Fantastic experience: All staff were so sweet and patient. As someone who has lots of anxiety with dentist I had a very positive experience. Making sure I was okay the whole time. And made sure I understood everything as well as answering all and any questions. Being very genital while doing the cleaning and not super rough. I would 10 out of 10 recommend.

Fantastic experience: Wow! Dr. Villescas and his staff are amazing. Two hours were allocated for my first visit. The technology is quite impressive and significantly more sophisticated than I’ve experienced elsewhere. The the staff is knowledgeable and caring. Everything was well explained, including the various components of oral health (who knew the extent and importance of facial muscles?). To date, Dr. Villescas has replaced an old, cracked crown and is addressing some bone loss. I have full confidence in Dr. Villescas and his staff. I am pleased and fortunate to have found this dental practice, and can recommend Caring Way Dental without reservation.
