Fantastic experience: Nothing but wonderful things to say about Pediatric Dentistry of Port Charlotte and their enthusiastic staff, detailed hygienists and well communicated dentist. My son typically hates going to the dentist and since coming here I have not heard a complaint!!

Fantastic experience: We had a wonderful experience at our visit. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and professional, and the staff took the time to listen to our concerns and explain everything clearly. The visit felt comfortable and stress free, and we never felt rushed. We truly appreciated the compassionate care and attention given to our child. Highly recommend this office!

Fantastic experience: We love this dentist office - it has exceeded all of our expectations both for general cleanings and for caring for cavities. I am especially impressed by (and deeply grateful for) Dr. Taylor and her two therapy dogs she has trained to sit with patients as they have dental work done. My 7 year old daughter sat through two different dental appointments for cavities and was greatly calmed by Ellie (the dog) laying next to her. She actually looked forward to her second appointment because of the dog. Dr. Taylor and hygienist Casey are a fantastic team. They work so efficiently and keep appointments short for dental procedures. We also love Dr. Argumosa. He is so patient and understanding with both children and parents. He made some hard appointments much easier with his kindness. We always leave having been very well cared for. I have only good things to say about this office and the staff.

Fantastic experience: We absolutely love this dental office! My youngest daughter had her first dental appointment yesterday, and everyone was so kind and welcoming. My older daughter has been coming here for 6 years, and we’ve always had such a great experience. We’re so happy to have a place we trust with both of our girls! Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: This office is fantastic! Immaculately clean, all staff is very friendly and accommodating. The doctor is pleasant, compassionate; and willing to answer any questions. He explained everything about the care being provided in detail. Dental hygienist Z is an absolute SUPER STAR! She is bright, has an infectious bubbly spirit/attitude; and a very comforting aura. Z had no problems making my 7 year old feel comfortable, reassured; and supported throughout the entire visit. She is for sure an asset to the Pediatric Dentistry family. Fantastic experience: Great experience. I was super focused on finishing paperwork..ugg..but staff was very friendly and made my daughter feel very comfortable and welcomed. They were the fastest dentist I've ever experienced. It was cool to have the kids brush their own teeth first to see how they do it. I'll be back for my second daughter soon.

Fantastic experience: Pediatric Dentistry of PC always has such friendly and helpful staff from the front desk to the hygienists, assistants and dentist! They were able to get both my kids in last minute for a dental issue. We never have a problem getting a hold of the office or getting an appointment. Highly recommend them and appreciate all of their hard work and professionalism!

I have been taking my teen son here for the past five years and this was the first time I took my toddler. The experience was absolutely amazing for his first time.. he absolutely loved watching the overhead TVs, and our technician is always so gentle and personable.

Negative experience: My child had an appointment today for a dental exam. I was told the exam and cleaning had to be performed together, including a separate $56 fluoride charge. When I asked why distinct services—performed by different staff, priced separately, and commonly billed under different codes—could not be separated, I was told, “That’s just how we do it.” A parent asking why pediatric dental services must be bundled deserves a real answer. “That’s just how we do it” is lazy, evasive, and infantilizing--equivalent to a power-obsessed bureaucrat blurting, "cause I felt like it." It is especially offensive in a medical-adjacent setting where trust, consent, pricing, and professional explanation matter. When I pointed out that this was merely office policy, not an explanation, I was told the bundling was for customer convenience. It was not convenient for me. When I again asked for the reason, the answer returned to the same refrain. I also had concerns about pricing. The clinic appears to participate in a dental discount plan, yet the pricing I received did not seem to reflect the published savings. I left with the impression of an opaque, patient-unfriendly pricing structure. Parents should not need a cross-examination to understand what is required, optional, bundled, or separately chargeable. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this clinic.

Fantastic experience: So blessed to have found this dentistry for our kiddo! Every single receptionist, nurse, & doctor went way above & beyond any expectation we had! Negative experience: Teeth cleaning are a joke here and gives you a dental quote for procedures that are not necessary. They said my son (8 years old) needed all type of dental work (over $5,000). I should have taken him and had a second opinion by a non pediatric dentistry office before I scheduled his dental work. I did half of the stuff then decided to take him to our family dental office to get a second option on the additional stuff they wanted to do. Our family dentist said what they wanted to do was absolutely crazy why would you crown a baby teeth that are about to come out. I would recommend a filling or pull them since they are coming out. (We already had two of the teeth crowned at the pediatric office) those crowned teeth fell out less than 3 months later. On top of that I guess our insurance did not cover $161.20 of the bill they billed to my dental insurance. I travel a lot for work and didn't see the bill come in and they sent it to collection and added additional $100 on top of the balance. Talk about being crooked. Proceed with caution ⚠️

My son is not the easiest to get into the chair and gets anxious about the noises and all the unfamiliar tools, but the entire team here is incredibly patient and kind. They take the time to walk him through everything they’re doing, which has made such a difference in helping him feel more comfortable and safe. One time he knocked his front tooth out, and we had to rush here and they stayed open after hours just to take care of him and they saved his tooth. His adult front tooth had come out and they were able to get it back in and save it but the fact that they stayed open after hours to help us was just amazing .

Fantastic experience: We recently moved to Florida and previously had a negative experience with pediatric dentists. The moment we walked in to this clinic we felt that this is the one. Everyone and I mean everyone is friendly, nice, professional, and kind. The way my child was treated was amazing. Definitely recommended this place. May God Bless this place and all who works there.

Negative experience: Scam. My son needed some work. A cavity/ filling space with sedation. The amount due after insurance was close to 400. 397 and change. I paid it in full. I coparent. So my son's father went in and made a payment of 200. The difference was supposed to be refunded. After some time I called and asked about the refund. Figuring it would be a credit. They told me a check was mailed. I never received a check. I was told they would look into it and get back to me. During the next cleaning appointment I asked again. And they said they hadn't heard anything about it but told me the check was only for 50 dollars. I asked how? And where did the rest of the money go? They said they would look into it. I still haven't heard anything its been over a year. Im not sure if it's some kind of billing fraud or what. They arent BBB accredited which makes sense. I will be filing an complaint elsewhere too. I wanted so bad for my son to stay here at this office. I will not tolerate theft like this. I never received anything stating there was a change in coverage for services rendered. That the balance was changed. What a shame.

Fantastic experience: Was looking for a new dentist for my son to get a cleaning and check out a concern I had. I called the office and was able to be fit in immediately. The wait time was nonexistent and the staff extremely helpful and friendly. Kacey, who did my son’a cleaning did an amazing job of keeping my son calm and happy and made the procedure go smoothly! We saw Dr. Vanderbosch and she was extremely knowledgeable and I feel very confident in staying there for the indefinite future as a patient. Great job! Will recommend to anyone looking for a great place to take your kids.

Negative experience: I had a great experience at this place for the past year but today is another story. They have some good staff in there at the same time I feel they are about money and not quality of care. In my son last 6 months cleaning they recommended him to an orthodontist because they had some concerns about how crowded his teeth are and the new one can’t come out due to not having enough space so slack orthodontist recommended extractions to make room which was what the dentist concerned were from the initial eval. Fine I called to schedule they told me my out pocket not a problem then I got a call back from Joyce who was very short tempered while she tells me they have to charge me another mouth evaluation to look at the concern they referred me on his last visit. I said why what is the difference from what the orthodontist is recommended/agreeing to what you send me to them in the first place then she proceed to mute me and I hung up. Another staff called me back with the same sentence stating insurance won’t pay for it because it’s the same eval he had on his last visit we just name it different so they insurance won’t cover it since we all know you only get 2 a year. Not my problem is not the money just wonder why would I pay for the same evaluation to led you to referred me to specialist. She said it’s not the orthodontist job to recommend extractions they specialize more in braces ‍♀️ last time I check that inaccurate information that’s why you work hand and hand with a specialist. She proceeded to say it’s not the orthodontist call to make so I asked why didn’t your doctor make the decision from his initial eval instead of recommending me to a specialist. I see why insurance is so picky on approving certain services because it’s really a rip off at the end. I’m so disappointed and irritated at the same time. So the orthodontist that didn’t charge me for an x ray to do their required initial eval what does that say about them . Unbelievable

Positive experience: Im giving this business a 3 star being generous because there's nice people at this office, and I like the set up they have for the kids. Other than that, I will be taking my kids to Cool Kids Dental after what happened this morning. Its the first day for my preschooler and 2nd day for my middle schoolers. I made these appointments 6 months ago, so wasn't aware their appointment fell on the first week of school. So I call to reschedule (mind u, we've been coming here for a year and a half now since I got PRIVATE insurance) one of the girls was nice while saying this - but if you have to reschedule your child's appointment, be prepared to be charged $50 PER CHILD. that would've been $150 for rescheduling PLUS I pay $200 a month for insurance. That's a little extreme. Sad, because we really liked this place and their team and yes, the other office im going to doesnt do this.

I love that I am able to have my children get their teeth cleaned at the same time and it is all in their open space room, so I can see them all at the same time!
