Dental Associates of Madison

Negative experience: Extremely disappointed with this office. I first requested my dental records on June 29 and have been trying to get them for over 3 weeks. I have called multiple times, gone into the office in person, and was repeatedly assured they would be sent, including a promise yesterday (July 21), after speaking with them THREE different times, that they would be sent before close. Still nothing. Initially, I physically came into the office and requested my records well over 3 weeks ago as soon as I found out about my upcoming out-of-state procedure that I needed them for. I even mentioned to the front desk exactly what they were for and how exciting this was for me that the time finally came to get a full smile makeover! Since then, I have called on multiple occasions and have been given different excuses or promises that they would be sent, only for nothing to happen. Despite all of that, I am now here in Texas without my records because they’ve failed to follow through. What makes this even more frustrating is that there is not even a large amount of information to send and one of the employees even acknowledged that during my phone call yesterday. I have only been seen here a handful of times, but these records are still absolutely vital for my upcoming procedure because of the treatment I have received there. Patients should not have to repeatedly chase a provider for access to their own records. My understanding is that patients are entitled to timely access to their records, and that has not been my experience here. I have been more than patient and understanding, but this delay has now potentially jeopardized an opportunity that was extremely important and very expensive ($30,000+ worth of treatment not including accommodations) to me.

Fantastic experience: Emily, Josie, Dr. Dean, and Dr.Toney make an incredible team. They have helped me come up with an amazing plan for my condition. Emily walked me through my pricing plan and has great knowledge of the field she is in. Josie made me feel good about myself even with what I have going on. I would absolutely recommend this office and team to anyone!!

I must say that Emily was very nice, professional, and she was so concerned, and made sure that I received the service that was required. Negative experience: I was not going to do this but was asked several times to leave a review so I will. I have had 2 great visits / cleanings at DAM but this last one was rough. The dental hygienist was brutal and o left the place feeling like I had been in a torture chamber. My gums shredded and the experience was unpleasant. Makes me want to not go back to the dentist. Ever.

Fantastic experience: My name is Debbie and was fit in urgently today because my crown had came off my back tooth that was attached to my bridge. I had all the dental work done at another dentist in Madison and I'm new to this clinic. It all started years ago with tonsillectomy that led to cracked tooth, failed dental implant, emergency room visit for nerve pain, root canal, and finally dental bridge with the new crowns attached or so I thought. I had been telling my old dentist that when I would eat anything soft like bread that I felt like my dental bridge would raise up or the tooth was loose. I mentioned to him and the hygienist but they didn't take me serious. So still having issues $6000 later. And I'd had other issues with another crown not being made correct and wouldn't stay glued on at my old dentist and a partner had to remake the crown entirely. Long story short dental associates is awesome and professional! In 20 minutes they answered all the questions I had and confirmed I was right because the glue was all in the crown and none on my tooth so that's why the bridge felt like it was moving. Which also meant it wasn't sealed on the tooth and allowed food and germs to get under crown and form cavity. So I'm going to need further dental work. But atleast I know who can do the work and who to trust. This office really listens to the patient, and helps get a plan to match what the patient needs. The dentist gave me options and allowed me to make the decision instead of feeling pressured to do what is the most expensive. I will continue going here and will recommend dental associates of Madison to family and friends!!! And I'm glad today my old dentist couldn't work me in for 5 days because that is what led me to come to Dental Associates of Madison and they are awesome!!!'

Emily at front desk is a true pleasure to work with regarding scheduling and insurance and records. A small family environment and experience. Highly recommend.

Although I was a bit concerned about the commute, it was well worth the drive. Clean, friendly and efficient facilities and staff made the drive time well worth it. Negative experience: I called Dental Associates to make an appointment for a cleaning, The office staff member named Ashley answered the phone, and asked me to hold...she left me on hold for so long, I had to hang up and call back, and again Ashley answered. I asked her if she forgot that I was on the phone because she never came back, and to my disappointment she first laughs, and then says, "yeah I forgot". She then tells me sorry we do not have any appointments available. What a disappointment! I simply hung up, because Ashley was so unprofessional, I did not waste any more breath or time with her. Fantastic experience: After dealing with call center issues with my appointment, got into the office in Maddison and they were WONDERFUL. Turns out they didn’t take my insurance despite what the call center told me & I had already had a horrendous day before getting to the dentist so that was the last thing I wanted to hear. The office manager and my hygienist were the nicest women who made me feel so much better about every thing and we’re still about to treat me. Will still be coming here and paying what I can out of pocket because it was that nice.

Negative experience: I started almost a year ago with this practice and was initially impressed. But it quickly went “south” when I started getting retro-billed stating that they weren’t able to bill my South Carolina dental plus, which has been a great insurance that they originally stated they billed. I contacted my state insurance advocate who immediately accessed a three way conference call, informed their office manager that their practice is covered as a provider. Apparently they do not do billing on site and have to send their bills to Michigan. Emily said she would contact them and provide this information and get back with me. She failed to do so and now isn’t taking my call. Glad others haven’t had this experience since the reviews are so high, but if your insurance happens to be from another state, beware.

They are up front about costs and there hasn’t been any high pressure pitches to have expensive dental work done. I’m genetically predisposed to terrible gum and teeth problems and this dentistry is helping keep everything in check. 10/10-would recommend!

Fantastic experience: My experience here was amazing .First they get you in fast . My appointment was at 11:00 i got there at 11:05 and was seen as soon as i got there . The Dr and the staff here and super friendly. Dr.Dean did a great job at keeping me calm and explained everything he was doing which really helped with me not being nervous at all . The receptionist are also very nice and always try to get you the time and dates you want for your appointments. Would definitely recommend

Fantastic experience: We were looking for a new dentist close to home and wow, did this place deliver! From Josey and Emily in the front office, Gwen the hygienist, Madison the tech and Dr. Dean himself, this practice is well-run, professional, friendly, and they do everything they can to reduce that dentist anxiety. They even went ahead and took care of a filling the same day for me! If you need a new dentist and you're nervous about finding a practice that will take good care of you, Dental Associates of Madison is the place you want to be.

Fantastic experience: This place is amazing!! I went in after dealing with a major issue for over two months. They couldn't do the root canal there but Ms. Emily immediately started working with me to get me in for a root canal the same day. Ms. Emily got me set up and I went for my root canal. I came back in on Monday and Dr. Dean prepped both of my teeth for their caps and he fixed a cavity I had. Dr. Dean talked to me the entire time and made sure I was comfortable. He explained everything he was doing while he was doing it. He has a fantastic personality and I felt like he really cared how I felt. I didn't get everyone's names before I left, but every single employee I had contact with was amazing. Everyone was so nice and helpful. I highly recommend Dr. Dean and his associates.

Negative experience: HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE ! cancelled MY appointment due to THEIR mistake in scheduling then continued to make me WAIT to reschedule.. THEN had the nerve to get upset with me because im asking why am I not being accommodated.. Just turn around and !

Fantastic experience: Came in on Martin Luther Kings day, only dental office that was open that day. Had a swollen cheek due to infection and Dr. Dean was able to help me in a dire situation. But it was Ashley that really saved the day, She worked so hard for me, to make sure that I was taken care of throughout the process. Any time I had issue with the Pharmacy she was on top of it; if I had a "stupid" question, she always answered it for me! Just top-tier service all the way through and never complained! I recommend their services!

Fantastic experience: I called my dentist's office on Tuesday. All day Wednesday, not a return call. A friend suggested Dr. Tony. I was worked in that Wednesday morning, before noon. I was treated like a regular patient. Thank you for taking care of me!

Fantastic experience: When I walked in, I was cheerfully greeted. The receptionist knew why I was there. Both the waiting room and the office space looked new and clean. Dental assistant got me set up professionally, was very friendly, and cared about my comfort. The endodontist came in, evaluated the situation, and recommended that I do not get a root canal at this time. The reasons he cited made sense to me. It was an excellent experience. I would definitely recommend this practice.

Cleanliness, kindness, going out of their way to make not only me, but my children feel comfortable. They do a fantastic job, the beautiful ladies at the front desk to everybody in the back everybody is amazing and If you are looking for a dentist, not only for you but for your children as well THIS IS THE PLACE TO BE!! Thank you so kindly to every staff member at that office. God bless. We also loved Miss Wanda and was so sad to have her leave, but she was one of the greats as well.!!! This is our spot from the beginning and We will never choose any other dentist office again because once again This is an amazing, phenomenal, extremely nice, extremely helpful dentist office!!!!

Negative experience: The office staff has not been the same since they hired new front end personnel. They are rude and disrespectful and blames you for their mistakes with scheduling and cleaning. When you say customers are always right, you need to think twice about this dentist office. I prefer the old staff that was there when they were located on Madison Blvd/Wall Triana. I have been going to this dentist for over 10 years and never had a problem until now. Everything is different. They show favoritism to those that are not colored. I will be finding a new dentist office. They also neglected to schedule a filling for my daughter waiting for her Medicaid insurance to be cancelled when in between that time she was seen 3 times with no fillings done while she was still covered under Medicaid. When she finally gotten the fillings completed her cavity had spread to other teeth near by and now needed more than the original fillings found the first time. They know your insurance only pays for procedures yearly and they scheduled two procedures and wanted me to pay close to $200 because my insurance wouldn't cover the second procedure.this would have never happened if they didn't neglect to have the fillings done the year before. That's right, they waiting whole year for her Medicaid to expire. There is a black lady named Sheree or something of that nature who causes all the issues and told me to find somewhere else to go if I didn't like their services. That's exactly what I'm going to do..

Negative experience: The quality of care at this practice is not great and they are disorganized. They lost me as a patient because they “lost track” of my second appointment. Took off work to be there on time and wasn’t even seen. No apology, no offer to reschedule. Very po-dunk Alabama.
