Fantastic experience: Really enjoyed the new dr that we saw.

Fantastic experience: I had such a positive experience with David at Family Orthodontics during an appointment with my two children. My daughter has special needs and sensory issues, and she was extremely nervous and having a very difficult time with the appointment. David was incredibly kind, patient, and attentive to her. He truly went above and beyond to help her feel safe and comfortable. He took the time to talk with her, found little activities for her to draw and color, brought her sunglasses when the light was bothering her, and even went to the dental office next door to find a fidget toy when she asked for one. What impressed me most was how genuinely he seemed to care. He stayed calm and patient throughout the entire situation and kept looking for ways to make things easier for her. As a mom trying to manage appointments for two children while also supporting a child with special needs, his help made an enormous difference. I felt supported and cared for during a very challenging moment. David’s kindness, patience, and compassion were truly exceptional. He made a difficult appointment so much easier for our family, and I am incredibly grateful. Thank you, David, for going above and beyond\!

Fantastic experience: My son got his braces on this morning. Nayara was so great with him. We were a bit nervous going into the appointment, but she was very informative. Explained everything step by step. No discomfort during the procedure!!! David was also so helpful and thorough with the explanation of our contract and paperwork. 10/10 will recommend this practice to anyone in need of braces!

Positive experience: Every routine appointment is 20-60 mins. Their waiting room is a free for all, families are allowed to wait 5-6 family members deep and listen to devices without a silent or headphone policy. There are not enough chairs or space to accommodate this. The average routine orthodontist appointment is 15-20 mins, thus tripling the wait time more than not. In addition, if your child has their wire cutting into their cheek and drawing blood, they might be able to see you in 3-5 business days. Do better.

Positive experience: Our first visit everything seemed to go okay. It felt like the doctors assistant was really trying to push us to schedule another appointment before we knew what insurance would be covering. Upon on second visit, this past week, I signed paperwork that stated our daughter may need some extractions. I was not made aware of this at our first appointment and was able to sit with the doctor (different than the first time) she explained things very clearly. She was very rushed when she spoke and could tell her was very busy and overwhelmed. When we went to check out that doctor came up to the front desk, again very overwhelmed and flustered and mumbled “Jesus Christ” but loud enough for my daughter and I to hear at the desk in line! Thought that was pretty unprofessional and a bit disappointing.

Negative experience: Ruined my teeth!

Negative experience: They have changed my daughter‘s scheduled multiple times and when something went wrong, they passed the buck. They also want us to work on their schedule and not respecting their client’s schedule. Very poor customer service.

Fantastic experience: Secretaries were overwhelmed with patients but still found time to seat me and handle my problem despite scheduling issues!

Fantastic experience: The place is clean and they are always on time. Highly recommended.

Positive experience: This is my third child to receive care here. I was about to rate as one star (prior to our visit yesterday was about 4 stars) but they fixed the issue (I’ll explain). The doctors keep rotating so you will see more than one doctor during your child’s care. Make sure you ask each doctor how long they will be practicing there- if they will be leaving make sure they document the plan clearly while you are there. We had an appointment for removal of my son’s palate expander but the new doctor said the appointment was only for consultation (previous doctor didn’t document plan clearly). They told us we needed to reschedule yet lacked compassion and wouldn’t fit us in despite the fact it was their mistake. I told them I would call to reschedule and left frustrated. About 10 minutes later they called me and said one of the technicians said she would stay late to help us out- so we went back and they fixed the situation. So in the end it turned out ok- just a warning so you don’t go through the same thing.

Shoutout to Viviany, our dental assistant who walked us through all of the steps for my daughter’s journey with braces and detailed information on how to properly care them. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: This is an absolute first for me.. I’m usually very patient and understanding, nor do I leave negative reviews… However, I’m giving two stars because I thought highly of this office for a year. However, after today I’m not sure I’d want to bring my children back. We sat in the waiting room for 43 minutes (after arriving early for our scheduled retainer check appointment). The waiting area emptied completely before my son was called, included 3 patients who arrived much after us. When he sat down in the chair for his appt, he was checked out for 30 seconds and told to wait for the doctor. We waited another 19 minutes in the corner of the room for the doctor. Patients who came late and in after us were seen and out before us. And to boot.. I (very clearly) heard 3 employees mocking a patient’s parent after she called in stating she “would arrive in 8 minutes” because traffic was heavy. Very unprofessional.. let me add, this patient’s appt was scheduled 30 minutes after my son’s, they were late but were still seen and left before us. His appt that was barely 3 minutes total took well over an hour and we didn’t receive a single “sorry” for their running behind schedule.

Positive experience: The whole experience was pleasant for the past 2 1/2 years up until today. My daughter turned 18 and requested her braces be removed early. She was denied this service and came home upset. I called the Milford office and asked why, the rude lady at the front desk Erin proceeded to tell me they aren’t removing them at this time. I requested the orthodontist call me back to discuss this and in a very rude tone she told me they were at lunch. I requested a call back after and she replied “IF they have time.” I pay a total of $6000 out of pocket for the braces because insurance doesn’t cover them, so why can’t my daughter and I request they be removed? Since when don’t we have a say in our own care? Why is requesting a call back from an orthodontist so bad? I’m pretty sure Erin at the front desk isn’t in charge of my 18 year old daughter’s care.

Fantastic experience: Update: I’ve since completed Invisalign with the office as well. They were extremely patient with me, everything from me asking to reschedule last minute, forgetting I had an appointment, my slow progress (not wearing it all the time) and more. They’ve also been great with the girls retainers and follow ups. Front staff, all staff actually are awesome. Go to these guys!!!! Prior Review: Everyone” in the office is super friendly and helpful. Our twin daughters got braces at the same time. Both orthodontic hygentists were wonderful with the girls, explaining everything they were doing as they went along. Overall a fantastic experience.

There are always smiling faces, kind interactions, and excellent communication for appointments. The thing I was most impressed with when we started here was the way they are SO organized with making a financial plan for your child. They are detailed, flexible, and informative with all the details of your child becoming a patient of theirs. I would highly recommend if you are looking for orthodontic care for your child/children.

Fantastic experience: My son had done pre-braces and braces treatment there. When it came time to remove braces, and I verbalize my unsatisfied concerns with the end result of the final treatment, they did not resolve the issue that I presented. Instead they tried comparing his dental issues( my son who had braces since age 8 -14 years old, being treated by them), versus myself who never had braces to correct my dental imperfections. Anyways I would not recommend them because they say you will be satisfied with the end result, but they will do nothing to correct if you’re not satisfied. Other than they will suggest you pay for a correction treatment which is 4 more years of treatment along with a full price braces package. After posting my review, the office ( now under new management) contacted me to revisit the issue and evaluate my unsatisfaction. My son is now under treatment to correct the appearance that I was unsatisfied with. Feeling happier with plan, and looking forward to the end result. I couldn’t be any happier with the final result of the corrected treatment offered by this office after my complaints. The new management really considered how we felt and offered all the support to bring us a happy result. I REALLY RECOMMEND THIS OFFICE and THEIR SERVICE.
