Fantastic experience: I had my first visit with a periodontist today, and it was such a positive experience. From the moment I walked in, everyone was warm, welcoming, and professional. The staff made me feel comfortable right away, which really helped ease any nerves I had. The doctor took the time to explain everything clearly and answered all of my questions with patience and care. I never felt rushed, and it was obvious that they genuinely cared about my comfort and understanding.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Straka and his staff are incredibly responsive with any questions that I had at my most recent appointment. They answered all of my questions and concerns about my condition and with my upcoming procedure. They took the time to fully explain everything. I also feel that they fully understood my current health situation and how it impacts the treatment plan that I will be receiving.

Negative experience: Only one bad office clerk extremely nasty! Was really sick, contacted their office to cancel my appointment. I’m a very considerate person… Have never missed appointments/not called with any other cancellations or anything like that. Instead of wishing me well and rescheduling, she very nastily told me that I would most likely have to pay for that appointment… I told her I felt that was a bit stiff and asked her to please have Dr. Straka contact me in regards to this office “protocol” Simply so I wouldn’t have to argue the point back-and-forth with her. She actually spoke for Straka stating arrogantly and confidently that he would not change her statement. Dr. Stracka never gave me the courtesy of a return call in attempt to try to clarify or resolve this ridiculous and unfair over reaction replacing the common courtesy they should give to any, and all of their patients . Don’t know what his clinical value is, as he only really quickly looked at me twice, however…definitely no! I don’t trust someone who behaves this way. Beware of the whole first impression/review game they play here! Straka comes off extremely nice and attentive the very first visit… This is when the reviews are sent out. After that, he spent a lot of time walking back-and-forth and whispering in the hallway with his staff, which I can remember thinking wow! There is way too much drama and negative going on in this office, and then I later, experienced it by phone when I tried to cancel my appointment Unfortunately, until certain things come up that are just a little bit off the beaten path or out of the ordinary, like an illness, You really don’t know what the character or capabilities or lack there of (I should say in this case) truly are I don’t trust this office with very good reason.

During my appointment the dental assistant ( I wish I could remember her name) was incredible. She answered all of my questions and made sure I was comfortable. Dr. Straka was great! He also answered all of my questions and laid out a plan moving forward that I felt confident about. At check out, the receptionist was helpful and made sure I had everything I needed moving forward.

Dr. Straka makes sure you fully understand his recommendations and treatment. The staff also makes sure you understand insurance coverage and out of pocket expenses. I’d highly recommend Dr. Strake for your periodontal needs.

I had a consult and everything to expect was discussed and a price I would be expected to pay was already provided to me before I even left the office after my exam/consult. The day of the procedure, Dr. Straka's team ensured I was comfortable with moving forward and reiterated what the expect. I had a great experience so far and would highly recommend them. He was the only periodontist in the area that took my insurance and left me with a great experience.

Fantastic experience: I want to thank Dr. Straka and Shanna for the incredible job they did on my tooth recently. Eight years ago I had an implant put in. This year I had an issue where the screw broke. I moved out of the area recently and headed back to Bethlehem for my two hour ride knowing my confidence with this team would get the job done. After 2 hours of patience and professionalism from the two, they were able to fix the issue. I would never hesitate to go back for any other work perfomed by them going forward. I would highly recommend Dr. Straka and Shanna to anybody seeking dental work.

Fantastic experience: I went in for the first part of my periodontal scale/root work. This was my 2nd time having this type of work done, but I could not really remember how the previous experience went so I didn't know what to expect. Mary was very nice and took the time to explain the procedure to me as well as asking me questions to get to know me better. Yes I was uncomfortable at times and felt some pain, but for the most part I was relaxed. Before I had this procedure done, the staff recommended I check out AVS dental to save some money because I do not have any dental insurance. AVS ended up saving me more than half of the cost of the procedure!!! Overall, the experience at this practice was pleasant and I look forward to my next appointment.

Fantastic experience: While generally an unpleasant experience of getting dental surgery, the staff was attentive, and entering while the surgery was performed. They were informative about the procedure, and the after care. I couldn't not have had a better experience. I definitely recommend them.

Fantastic experience: This was my first time with this doctor and I was very impressed by the location, the staff and Dr. Straka. Everyone was very conscientious about telling me every step of the treatment and procedures. They were very friendly and cooperative explaining the pricing as well. I will begin treatment with this doctor in 2 weeks and I'm actually looking forward to it. Update.... Talk about how first impressions can be deceiving. I had a scaling procedure done on one quadrant of my mouth. That was in February. In May the pain finally subsided. For months I couldn't eat or drink without excruciating pain. When I called the office after 2 weeks to let them know that the swelling had not subsided at all. The woman who answered the phone said well. You know everybody heals at a different rate. I asked to speak to the dentist. I'm still waiting for that call. Then they had the audacity to send me a bill. I had been given the costs prior to having the procedure. My insurance company covered part and I paid the additional 400 plus dollars on the day of the visit. They had the temerity to bill me additionally . Why I Wonder? Was it because I canceled the other three procedures because of the excruciating pain I endured in the first one? This was truly one of the most horrible experiences I've ever had in my life. And I've had double hit surgery.
