Fantastic experience: Quite honestly if my experience hadn't improved at my most recent visit I was planning to look for another Dental Clinic. I wasn't pleased with my treatment during my previous visit, but the Hygienist I had this visit changed my opinion for the better. She listened to my concerns and totally accomodated my wishes for a much better experience. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: Dr Andrew Budi and his team have done an amazing job. Had trouble with my new denture and he was able to help me fix it within a matter of a couple hours. I couldn't be more grateful for this office and their amazing work.

Fantastic experience: The staff there are incredibly friendly and check in always goes smoothly, allowing me to be seen almost immediately every time I've been there! The hygienists nd the dentists that work there are very thorough and always explain their processes in an understandable way. They are very good at offering various options and plans depending on what you need and what work is required to be done. Would recommend!

Fantastic experience: My wife and I have had some less than great dental experiences in the past however Dr. Budi and the team here are great. Down to Earth and non-judgemental approach to what they see abd how best to move forward.

Fantastic experience: I've been going to First Choice Dental for a long time and I'll be a lifetime customer. I've been going to this location for several years and everyone there has always been amazing, as well as every other one of their clinics I've been to. I went in yesterday for a cleaning and exam after neglecting my dental health for a couple years, but was still frequenting the other Sun Prairie location for Invisalign treatment. Dr. Budi and Tammy (spelling?) were so kind to me yesterday and made the appointment very comfortable despite the anxiety I had over it for many months and the shame I had of not taking care of myself. I always recommend First Choice to everyone I can and I know that I am in the best hands.

Fantastic experience: My first experience with a dentist here was great! Megan was super great, was able to work with a cry baby like me as I’m not a fan of going to the dentist without kicking me out But made the experience worth while and gave me some key points to further improve my care and very friendly staff members. Even if I change insurance, I hope to continue to have them as my go to option for any future visits. Update 5/28/26: Had to go for a second visit for a filling. Thanks to both Dr Mendoza and Candy, they made the procedure easy and painless. They made sure I was comfortable and wasn’t feeling any pain while the procedure was being done. Excellent staff like always, friendly and caring. I’ve never liked going to the dentist, but for the first time I feel comfortable going to this location. Truly recommend it.

Negative experience: The water they used to rinse tasted bad, like lemon concentrate. When I told the hygienist this she just said it was probably the tablets they use to treat the water and assured me it was non toxic. While I believed it wasn’t harmful it still tasted awful and she continued to use it. Worst dental experience I have had is years. Sorry first choice. You still do a good job cleaning teeth, but that is about it.

His assistants are also smart, friendly, and helpful. They treat each other with absolute respect, which is very calming and reassuring. This is essential during dental procedures, when a patient is already on edge. A special thanks to Lashayia and Candy, who both work well with Dr. Matev. My future loyalty is assured, based on my repeated and consistently superior service experiences.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Budi did a fantastic job fixing a chip to my right front tooth. I appreciate getting in quickly and the work that was done. It can be stressful with an injury to a front tooth, but after Dr. Budi fixed the chip, my husband said he couldn’t tell it had been chipped.

Positive experience: I think they had someone new. She had trouble getting Xrays, then she was asking me which tooth was hurting "molar or premolar". I don't know what the teeth are called. I normally love First Choice, but this was my first negative experience.

Fantastic experience: My Hygienist, Brittany did a superb job cleaning my teeth. I asked her many questions out of curiosity, and she kindly answered me. Brittany provided me with education; and the rationale behind it. Being an RN, myself; the reason WHY we do things makes a huge difference in a patient's compliance. Dr. Budi has been my dentist for my past 3 visits. He is personable and does not recommend treatments that are not necessary. I have used FCD, in various locations, as have my children while they were growing up. I wouldn't want to be without them.

Negative experience: Throughly unimpressed with the treatment at this facility, I booked the day before due to having extreme pain and swelling in my jaw to the point where a have a dime sized absest on my inner jaw line, I arrived 30 minutes prior to my appointment and watched as people started come In, around one pm people started getting pulled in for their appointments, one by one everyone left and once again I was sitting by my self waiting for my turn for my name to get called, it turns out the lady that was assigned to me was the one talking to the front desk ladies for the previous five minutes with zero urgency, she finally came to get me after she was done talking, I get pulled back and I am informed that I need a root canal or the tooth needs to be pulled the dentist informed me that they can not do this at this facility and wrote me a prescription for antibiotics and told me try the dual action advil for pain, then sent me to the front desk with a referral and prescription, once arrived at the desk the front desk lady told me to hold on, keep in mind I’m still in extreme pain and just want to leave at this point because there was no real emergency services rendered, then the dentist came up and slouched in her chair and started talking to the other lady’s about her personal life, finally the paperwork was taken and I was told I was free to go and I need to call the surgery clinic to book an appointment as if I would enjoy speaking any more that day, so at this facility the lady that is literally in charge of making appointments just told me to call the place and she would send over the referral to these people, I then called and was informed that the surgery clinic did not have it and they will call me when they get it but never received a phone call from anyone, now on a Friday night I have nothing more than antibiotics and the same numbing cream that I have been using over the counter, this whole experience was a waist of my time and money and I would’ve been better suited going to an E.R because they would’ve done the same thing and just gave me a referral as well, this whole experience was borderline offensive, it seems this facility just does not care and I would highly recommend to anyone who actually needs help to not go there

Negative experience: I have been here twice. My first cleaning was fine and there was not much follow-up given to me regarding my dental care. Things checked out fine. The dentist was really pushing for a tooth extraction on a tooth that I’ve been watching for some time. I did not want to do this at the time. I came a second time recently for my routine cleaning and it was very unpleasant. The cleaning itself hurt and I feel the hygienist was rough in how they cleaned my teeth. They did not ask how I was doing or if I was okay. I was noticeably wincing and I had to pinch my skin with my nail to distract from the pain. There were also many assumptions made by the hygienist about me and my dental hygiene that were inaccurate. The dentist again really pushed for the extraction of the tooth. I am moving so I will be switching dentists, and I will get a second opinion. I take care of my teeth and it was disappointing that so many assumptions were made about me and how I care for my teeth.

Positive experience: I have been going to First Choice Dental for 20+ years. I have always had great experiences.

Fantastic experience: After moving to the area, I got lucky to find this dental practice. From the get-go they've all been incredibly kind and professional and I was able to get all the answers I needed. This included questions during my check up and looking into getting answers in regards to insurance and final costs. They are first rate in care and service all the way around.

Fantastic experience: Dr Budi and Cora were great as usual. But special thanks to Shanna for helping me try to resolve an insurance issue that has been circling back and forth between First Choice and Delta for months now. She took a lot of time to patiently listen to me, study what has been happening on my account with a particular claim, and spending time on the phone with a Delta rep. She was beyond patient, very courteous, and helpful. With her help we may finally get some resolution to months of back and forth.

Fantastic experience: Only met with great people who truly seemed to only care about my needs and how best to resolve my problems. They went the extra mile, trying to get me back to my best self. If possible, I would choose to only go here from now on.

Fantastic experience: Regarding My initial dental appointment, It was a cake walk for me. Megan did a fantastic job by being patient and sensitive while caring for my teeth. Dr. Matev explained the corrections that were needed. He was very clear and professional in his description to the point of taking pictures and displaying them on a Monitor screen so I was able to understand. The staff at the front desk were friendly and very helpful. I highly recommend First Choice Dental Sun Prairie North for your dental needs.

Positive experience: Assistants could benefit from customer service training. Requirement of a blood pressure reading is ludicrous. Reading is never accurate, and in no way indicates whether someone would react to injection. Dentists have obviously been convinced that this would somehow prevent a malpractice suit. Dental work itself is excellent.

Fantastic experience: Megan did a great job cleaning my teeth! I lost a root canal / crown tooth a couple months ago which is not ideal and wasn’t sure of the next steps. Dr Budi sat down and took the time to explain the benefits of an implant. I really appreciate his time and we always joke around which is an added perk. Heather and Shanna at the desk - gosh I hope I have their names right- are so caring and thorough with everything. They helped me make lots of appointments and check my benefits. Negative experience: For starters, the First Choice Dental location was not prepared even after I provided insurance and identification information ahead of time, which caused a delay at checkout due to billing issues because this location did not properly process insurance information after I checked in for my scheduled appointment. Otherwise, I had requested information about locating a dentist who is available on weekends. However, instead of offering any suggestions, they simply stated that First Choice Dental is not open on weekends and refused to provide any references or helpful information during this visit. It almost felt like walking into a sales room, with them constantly suggesting more and more services.

Positive experience: This is my first visit to this particular first choice dental office. The staff and my dental hygienist were very courteous. My teeth cleaning went very well and I appreciated the fact that I could put off my x-rays for my next appointment. I did discuss shortly The front door's not happening automatic openers for people who are in wheelchairs or that physically cannot open the doors on their own. If this would have been in place, I would have given this review five stars.

Fantastic experience: I have had a great experience with first choice dental. The staff is very helpful and understanding. They helped me understand my insurance coverage. I felt very comfortable talking to the staff. My last place made me feel like a number. The staff really makes you feel like they care about you getting the most of your coverage, im having a tooth extracted tomorrow and I feel good about it, " usually im worried" My appointment was a few weeks out. There was a cancelation and they called me right away, very happy about that.

Fantastic experience: I'm extremely happy with the care I received. Dentist's are not my forte. I had the most respectful service from entering the building till I left. Everything was explained clearly to me. No pain whatsoever. This is the first time I had water cleaning at any dentist. There's a difference in oral care from every dentist.

Negative experience: I called this office to confirm that the dentists were in my Guardian DentalGuard PPO network. The person I spoke with was very short and dismissive, repeatedly telling me that “all the doctors apply.” I tried to explain that I was worried because the Guardian website showed different information. I found a doctor who was listed as in-network and asked if my appointment could be scheduled with him specifically. She said yes, that could be arranged, but she sounded very annoyed. I understand that all doctors in the office may apply, but Guardian’s website only showed that dentist near me. If it could be arranged, I don’t understand why she sounded frustrated. I chose a location that was a little farther from my address because that specific doctor works there, and it’s also closer to my school. I understand she may have been trying to help, but throughout the call I repeatedly said, “I understand what you’re saying, but I’d be more comfortable sticking with my plan.” I wasn’t asking for anything unreasonable or against policy. Overall, I felt that my concerns weren’t listened to, and the tone of the conversation made me uncomfortable. Because of that, I decided not to schedule an appointment here.

Fantastic experience: I’ve never enjoy the dentist before I came here. The team is great and does a great job educating without making you feel bad. I moved 2 hours away and still drive back to see the team!
