Fantastic experience: I came in a lot of pain because of my infected left molar as a walk in patient. Dr. Bryan Gu and the nurse, miss Katina Norell were excellent. The doctor extracted my tooth quickly, managed the anesthesia and all the process wonderfully. This place for sure will become a place where to seek a dental help.

So patient and kind I was very scared because my blood pressure was high but he made me feel very comfortable. He removed tooth during my visit. Fantastic experience: Contrary to what many reviewers have to say about this place, I have nothing but positive. I want to extend my gratitude to 3 amazing professionals that made sure my tooth extraction went smoothly with no pain/discomfort. My experience there today was nothing less than great. Katina (aka Kat) made me feel so comfortable from doing my x-rays to preparing me for my procedure. You could tell they were a bit short staffed but that did not affect their performance at all. Dr Ben made me very relaxed with his extremely friendly and caring demeanor. He explained everything that was happening and my next steps. His colleague Dr Pallas was very comforting as well. They both have great bedside manners that’s for certain. Together all 3 made my experience incredibly smooth.

Negative experience: Came in for an infected veneer and was told it would be treated at my prior appointment. Instead, nothing was actually done. I was told the tooth needs to be removed, which I already knew from my previous visit. I was then told nothing could be done TODAY due to being UNDERSTAFFED took a xray and was rescheduled for 6/15. I was also given a referral to another location, went there immediately, and it was closed. Overall, I left with no treatment, only delays, walking for hrs and wasted time despite ongoing pain.. Im annoyed I cant put less than one star- 6/4/26

Fantastic experience: I had so much anxiety from my impacted wisdom tooth and was getting the runaround from other offices. They told me I needed a coronectomy, but after my consultation with Dr. Kazi, everything changed. He explained the entire procedure in detail, listened to my concerns, and let me know that the surgery wasn’t necessary. Instead, he chose a better route to ensure my tooth was removed safely, which I truly appreciated. The surgery wasn’t easy, but I felt very little pain. He also set clear expectations for my recovery. Two weeks post-op, I’m feeling great. Dr. Kazi is compassionate, professional, and truly the best oral surgeon. I’m very grateful for my experience.

Fantastic experience: I had a left-side upper-wisdom tooth and lower-wisdom tooth coronectomy done under Dr. Kazi's care with local anesthesia. I was pretty anxious about the experience, but Dr. Kazi's energy created a very safe atmosphere. He answered all of my questions, was very funny, and communicated everything he was going to do and WHY. Most doctors do not take the time to do this, and that isn't to say they are bad, but it does show the patience and integrity that Dr. Kazi presents for those under his care. He is a gifted surgeon and someone I hope continues in this field for a long time to grace others with this experience. Dr. Kazi did my procedure alongside Dr. Lee who was equally caring, precise, and was a great support system for Dr. Kazi. They collaborated beautifully and I witnessed their amazing communication styles as they worked on my mouth. They reinforced direction, procedure, and the best way to provide me with a smoother healing experience post-op. I felt extremely cared for under them both, and it was also pretty cool to witness their dynamic while awake. They explained everything they were doing as they did it, asked me several times if I was okay. There wasn't a moment where I panicked or felt uncomfortable with them. I was pretty alert throughout my procedure, and knowing that these doctors are not only professional/business-like, but friendly humans who are striving to better each other and guide each other in their craft, it was amazing to see. All to say, while Brooklyn Hospital does has its fair share of wonkiness and disappointments, its General Dentistry and Oral and Mazillofacial Surgery department is full of incredible humans who just also happen to be talented surgeons. I wish I did the other side of my mouth under local just to have Dr. Kazi and Dr. Lee again. Best of luck to those looking through the reviews to see if this is the right place for them. I'll tell you now - it is, see them today!

Negative experience: I’ve been calling for weeks to try to make an appointment and no one picks up it always says due to unforeseen circumstances they are unable to pick up the phone. This is unacceptable for a medical/ dental facility

Positive experience: The dentist was great!! But they are understaff. The dentist had no assistance at all but worked gently and quickly. Because he had no assistance he forgot to put in my prescription. Unfortunately for me I had to walk back 30 mins from the pharmacy to ask them to put it in after having a tooth extracted. I originally had to drive there to make an appointment because they don’t answer the phone and now I have to walk back to ask for my prescription to be put in. Great dentist. Understaffed. If you’re looking for a job they are probably hiring!

Fantastic experience: Sooo listen, was in out like a robbery lol got there at 10:03 15 minutes later they was calling me. Did my xray walked me through everything numbed my mouth and pulled my tooth best experience I have ever had getting my tooth pulled. I came on a Monday morning. Mind you I’ve been to every dentist in queens over the past 8 months trying to get my wisdom tooth removed and came to bk one day and they pulled my tooth. 10/10 everyone was amazing on the staff. Negative experience: The Reception Staff and Management is horrible. They are consistently understaffed, wait time is over 45min even with a scheduled appointment. And you’ll be lucky if they even give you a reminder call about the appointment they gave you FOUR months ago. Honestly, save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere. NYU Langone is so much better than this place.

Fantastic experience: I had a broken tooth all the way to the gumline and was terrified so I kept pushing off getting an appointment, went in yesterday and the oral surgeon was amazing! Didn't feel any pain at all with local anesthesia, i've had bad experiences with dentists in the past but they're amazing here. Doctor was super nice and explained everything and I think the extraction only took about 10ish minutes. Appreciate the patience and care I received here, thank you!

Negative experience: Staff was nice. Asked front desk if they took my insurance they said yes and I confirmed with my health insurance that the dentist I made the appointment for was in network. I get there they just put me in any resident dentist chair and now I get billed. 1. Dentist (dr.rong) seemed a bit inexperienced but he was nice asked me if I had questions but the guy couldn't even administer novocain properly. He spilled half of it down my throat and didn't even wait for the first dose of topical numbing ointment to kick in before he administered the novocain with the needle. This guy is very , very rough and I have been to many dentist in my 38 years . 2. The extraction was so time consuming and difficult. I never experienced that before. He was extracting from the right side and my face was literally being shoved to the left. I even heard him get aggravated that he couldn't remove a basic tooth. ( he still was nice though because he tried to not let his frustration show) 3. My whole cheek and gums on the right side is lacerated and has a huge wound . He cut me while trying to remove the tooth. It's been 6 days and I am still in pain. Please nobody get triggered it's the truth. Please do better and when someone comes all the way there for a special dental surgeon please do not just plop them in anyone's dental chair.

Fantastic experience: I had by tooth removed by Dr H and Marylin and it was the best experience ever. Truly I can tell this is the best oral surgery hospital in the Tri State area.

Negative experience: Today December 9th I had an appointment for a cleaning. I was late for my appointment but the desk ladies are very nasty I have been coming to Brooklyn hospital for all of my 27 years and today was my last day because of the people that work there and lack of responsibility and accountability held for their abuse of power. 31 weeks pregnant I feel I was discriminated against for just a couple of minutes time difference. They also never pick up the phone unless you call 5x in a row and when they finally answer it is as if you are bothering them at their 9-5 they get paid for. Thank you for your time everyone and tread lightly with this establishment or NOT. Muah

Fantastic experience: My experience with Dr. Devin Corpus was amazing. He was very patient and understanding with me and kept a me comfortable and at ease.

Negative experience: AVOID this dentistry if you can. They schedule appointments but never take a patient at the time of appointment. Every time I went there I had to wait for 1 or 2 hours. If you have nothing to do with your life, then sure, go there. The doctors always rush saying that they can’t do much and there is next patient waiting for them. So you just wait for one treatment to be done for months. They just want those money keep flowing to them for each appointment but no treatments done. The receptionists could be more welcoming and friendly, but acting like they hate their job. Do not recommend!!!

Fantastic experience: I just had 2 extractions all in one shot. The top and bottom left wisdom teeth. I was so nervous but the doctor explained everything to me step by step. What an amazing experience. I felt no pain just pressure during the procedure but it wasn't anything crazy. When the doctor told me he pulled out the first tooth I was like really? Wow. I would recommend this place 1000 times. Thank you so much for the experience.

Negative experience: Avoid this hospital at all cost. They are very unprofessional! I was rescheduled 3 times for a wisdom teeth removal. Each time with some bogus excuse, as if a patients time is not valuable. I had to take unnecessary PTO days for each time I was rescheduled. Aside from that, they never pick up calls at any time of day. Do not waste your time coming here!

Fantastic experience: Dr Brucce and Shawna his assistant was beyond the expected. I walk in crying for the first time on the street or in public, everyone around just stand at a distance, however Shawna came and help me complete the application, Dr Bruce explained every thing step by step, when he did the procedure I felt nothing. I left smiling and greatful for having then. It was not brooklyn care I received, it was so much more. Thank you both so very much. I hate go to doctors and dentists in the past. Negative experience: Unfortunately I had the experience of a close family friend who underwent surgery at Brooklyn Hospital Center. Being at a hospital is a difficult experience and being at this hospital makes the experience significantly worse. Based on my experience, I would recommend you go to another hospital and avoid this hospital if you can. If you do have to go here or find a family member here try to work together to create support for your family member while they are here. We received bare minimum effort from the staff while we were here. The visiting hours are more restrictive than other hospitals and the visiting rules seem punitive to the visitors. The staff appear to be just going through the motions and seem very worn out -- as a result there was zero empathy. My family member needed assistance and would press their patient assistance button to get help in order to get out of bed. My family member was a fall risk and needed assistance walking to the restroom. The staff would not arrive for 45 min or an hour consistently after the button was pressed. One time when someone finally arrived they said, "whats the matter you already went to the bathroom today". It wasn't said in jest or in a way that was just making light of the situation. They said it in a way that made the patient feel like as a severe inconvenience to the staff. The same goes for when the IV drip machine was beeping in error indicating the IV was not working. It took over an hour to get someone to correct the error beeping. After going to the hall and the nursing station twice to try to get help, I resorting to searching online to see what was wrong with the beeping. I didn't want to mess with the machine but that is the sort of environment this hospital creates for patients. When we were at this hospital we felt like we were on our own. A random nurse not from this department finally stopped by and corrected the beeping. She was a bright moment in the experience so there are good people here. Unfortunately those moments are rare. There are tons of signs this hospital is not providing quality care for patients. Clear communication to the patient is severely lacking and the vast majority of the staff I encountered went well out of their way to ignore me and not to help in the slightest way. They completely avoided addressing any issues or questions. We had a question regarding the previous surgery and were told to stop back by the hospital tomorrow. The next day when we asked we were brushed off and told the same thing. We could not get in contact with a doctor. Nurses don't answer questions and doctors weren't available. This hospital charges you to watch TV. It may take you 2 hours of demoralizing experience to get the TV turned on after you wait on hold and give all your credit card info over the phone. Staff laugh when you ask about the TV as if they know the hospital is a joke and is terrible. This hospital is a joke and the patient and the patients family are the butt of the joke. The clock in the patient room did not keep time and was off by and hour one day and 5 hours off the next day. The white board on the patients wall was never filled out woth pertinent info and there was no clear communication from one nursing shift to the next. The walls in the patient room are completely scratched like a horror film. Avoid.

Fantastic experience: I had the privilege of being a patient under the impeccable care of Dr. Young, Dr. Kang and Dr. Sun. This trio are thorough, detailed, caring doctors that give 100% from start to finish. I was treated for a nasal fracture and they got me looking good as new. Can’t say enough good things about them.

Negative experience: The lack of people answering the phones is a true disservice. It’s also dangerous. I have been trying to contact this dental center for a really long time and no one ever answers or checks messages or return calls. I’m starting to wonder if there is something wrong happening there or if that should be checked because at the very least you should be able to talk to someone

I met Dr. Young a few weeks ago his manner, expertise and knowledge and care for his patients is like no other. I was so scared to see a dentist but needed some work. Shared my past experience and Dr. Young made me feel calm enough to stay put. He is incredibly professional, and passionate about his work (calls it an art). Have had two extractions and preparing for dental implants. Dr. Young is the only oral surgeon I will let close to my mouth. Thank you Brooklyn Hospital and Dr. Young. Fantastic experience: I would love to take the time out to rate my experience going to TBHC Dentistry , The Receptionist were Very Helpful , & since I had a referral they allowed me to be a walk in , being that I was in pain for having a tooth Ache , so with in 5 mins I was able to be seen by a dentist , and shout out to FARINA HAQUE (DDC) for being patient with me and making sure I felt comfortable during my experience , she took the time out to explain why I was having a tooth ache and she made sure took the pain away and one thing that really amazed me was how she told me her passion is knowing that she is able to relieve the pain that her patients are in and to also see them smile and feel good about there teeth and as I walked out of TBHC I felt so much better , the pain of that tooth ache was gone , so if your in the process of looking for a good dentist ( I know it can be hard to find one ) but I highly Recommend coming to TBHC because this was my first time coming here and based on how I was treated especially by Dr Farina Haque DDC I will definitely come back !!!!!!!

Negative experience: This really doesn't make sense. A whole 30 minutes just to changed an appt. Need more adequate people who understand they job and title. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Stay where you at. I'm looking for more professional setting.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Lee is the best dentist so far i have in removal of teeth and it was super. No pain and very gentle. Also very quick and caring ... I give him 5 thumbs up

Negative experience: Had a 3pm appointment got there at 2:15 and waited 2 hrs to be seen while this nurse or what ever she is who wouldn't show her badge said her name was Shakiraor shamika let 4 people come in more than an hour late and go ahead of me when I asked what was going on not only was she very rude in her response she also was assisting adoctor with her hat an thick outdoor scarf which is very unsanitary in this Era of of covid
