Fantastic experience: Wow! I had such an amazing first visit at this dental office. As usual, I had a lot of anxiety coming in, not knowing what my experience was going to be like. I just had a routine cleaning, and Dr. Saran was so amazing and so kind. It seemed like he was training someone, I’m not sure if she was a hygienist or not, but he was also very kind to her. I noticed that instead of harsh corrections, He was sharing the why behind things and was very gentle in his direction to her. He was really careful, not aggressive or heavy handed, and I really appreciated the questions, the care, and just the casual conversation while still being very professional. The office was really clean. I’m so excited to have found a new dentist. Highly, highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: LIC Dental Associates, Long Island City have a very professional , clean and state-of-the art facility that gives great confidence when one walks inside. Additionally the entire process from the front office, billing to handling of my case was excellent. Dr.Lynn and his team made me very comfortable during my root canal treatment and his Doctor colleague during the filling. Dr. Lynn explained the process and made me at ease. Fantastic experience: Great experience every single visit. Dr. Lynn is super knowledgeable (explains all the details)and genuinely cares about patients.

Negative experience: Avoid this place, unless you’re okay with unnecessary x-ray exposure for you/your family. They require panaromic X-rays plus a whole set of traditional x-rays at the first visit. Why both? It’s for your own good, of course! The dentist claimed that other practices take an xray for “every single tooth” otherwise, not just the 10 traditional x-rays they wanted in addition to a panoramic. They won’t see you unless you agree to this, became clear they would make the same threats at every visit. I walked out because their main interest is clearly to maximize profits, and reading the one star reviews here confirmed that.

Fantastic experience: Root canals are never awesome but this one went as about as perfect as I could expect. Dr. Linn was great and saved a tooth I thought I was going to lose. Highly recommended.

Negative experience: I was seen as a new patient and the dental care was very good. Billing was an unusual experience: prior to my appointment, I called the office and asked if they took my dental insurance and was told yes. When I checked in for my appointment, I asked again to confirm and was told yes. The receptionist took my insurance card to review it and handed it back to me without saying anything, and so I confirmed again that we were all set with my insurance. I believed them to be in-network with my insurance based on their responses. I proceeded with my appointment, and days later received a notice from my insurance that a substantial balance was due because LIC Detal is out of network. I next called LIC Dental and spoke to the receptionist who had checked me in. They told me I needed to specifically use the words “in network” when asking if they took my insurance. They called me back again after 24 hours saying that they resubmitted the claim to insurance because they believed I was overcharged. This effectively reduced the amount due. I found the whole experience to be omissive, perhaps deceptive, and unusual. It should have been clear that as a new patient asking multiple times about insurance that my intention was to understand if they were in-network. They were not transparent and had multiple opportunities to be. I also cannot confirm whether the overcharge was a result of LIC Dental’s mistake or my insurance company’s mistake. I won’t be returning to this office.

Negative experience: A lot of upselling. Left practice. If you don’t believe this review get a quote from them and then shop it around.

Fantastic experience: I commute from Brooklyn to come here because they’re that good. No cavities or gum recession since I started here. As painless as dentistry gets. Professional and kind team.

Fantastic experience: Have been coming here since about 2018. They opened another office on Jackson ave. All the dentists I’ve had from this company are spectacular. The ambience when you walk in makes you feel comfortable even though you are going to a dentist office. I’ve had 3 separate dentists provide cleanings and more complicated treatments as well. I was happy with the outcome from all of them. Treasure is one of the hygienist’s there and she is a delight when receiving a cleaning and very thorough as well. If I could rate an extra star I would. If this place was a restaurant, it would definitely receive a Michelin star. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: They’re so considerate and knowledgeable! I went here after a bad experience with Tend. The staff here is super upfront and good at what they do. They made sure my insurance would clear and detailed what visits would cost. I found that the dentists took a lot of care in their examinations and follow ups. I also always have a good cleaning, but lately it’s been even better because following the dentists care instructions has really cleared up the majority of any gum issues I had! My go to dentist is Sheryl Lee, she’s the one who helped fix my gum and teeth health after some careless cleanings with Tend!

Fantastic experience: I very highly recommend LIC Dental and particularly Sheryl Lee. I've lived in NYC for 8 years and constantly struggled to find a good dentist, now I've found probably the best dentist I've ever visited! Sheryl is incredibly patient, amazing attention to detail and makes sure you're completely happy with everything before leaving. I'm not really a nervous patient but if you are then I think she would put you at ease as she clearly explains everything that's going on, regularly checks you're ok and again is always open to adjustments etc Even if I leave the LIC area I will be travelling back to this dentist

Fantastic experience: I stumbled upon this dentist office through my insurance around 7 years ago and i havent looked back ever since! Absolutely enjoy this place. The staff are wonderful and the office is extremely clean!!

Negative experience: Don’t believe the other good reviews. Their only goal is to upsell you the most unnecessary ‘treatment’ and profit as much as they can off of you. Came in as a new patient, they maxed out my dental insurance just in the first visit alone with a bunch of fancy imaging and scanning. Then they did the cleaning, which was pleasant and professional. But then of course they found something concerning, and convinced me to come again to see a specialist. The specialist prescribed this whole complicated treatment plan for something completely optional and disproportionate the the problem. - no I’m not going to take 3 months out of my life so my gums could look better? And then there is the audacity to quote me $10,000+ on the spot (mind you they already maxed out my insurance so all of this would be out of pocket) and tried to force me to sign the plan, which I declined of course. The practice is fancy and glitzy and they do produce a good cleaning, but everything is billed at way above market rates. And they want you to do a cleaning every 3 months?!

Dr. Saran is by far the kindest, most expert, and most precise dentists I have ever seen, and I trust him implicitly to help me make the right decisions for me. The staff - especially Brian, who took my appointment that first day and has trained everyone since - is so helpful, patient, and professional. I’ve had everything from cleanings and fillings to restorations and orthodontics done here and I have never once been disappointed in the service or procedures performed. The facilities are top notch, the rooms are esthetically pleasing which is nice while you are receiving care, the hygienist works delicately and is so friendly and will ask you if you're comfortable or would like gum numbing gel etc. The dentists are professional and knowledgeable, and will take the time to explain xrays, etc. and the front desk team are always friendly and helpful with any billing questions or insurance coverage questions you might have. They will proactively advise you on when you should plan your next visit based on your insurance company's own coverage profile. Absolutely been a happy customer for more than 8 years now and can highly recommend this dental office!

I’ve always had bad teeth and very uncomfortable dental experiences growing up, so the kind and transparent treatment at LIC Dental has been so refreshing. They explain exactly what the situation is and what treatment options you have and truly listen to you/what you want to do. I deal with vasovagal syncope with any sort of medical/dental visit so their understanding and genuine care is so wonderful. Also, they have all types of dental doctors (periodontist, endodontist, etc) between their two locations so no need to get a referral and be sent out to another spot. Thank you guys!!

Negative experience: Had to cancel my appointment with them as I refused to do 3rd panoramic xray this year and pay additional 400$. And I just wanted to do 6 month dental cleaning. I want to point out that I am not a new patient. I was denied the option to proceed with a simple dental cleaning without obtaining a panoramic x-ray(the 3rd one this year!). The explanation given was that this is the office's standard practice. I don’t want to accept being blackmailed, robbed and do unnecessary procedure that can harm me.

Negative experience: They just make money. They try do unnecessary things. Unfortunately there is no fears from the law. Even there is no law.

Fantastic experience: From the reception to the people taking care of your precious smile- the experience has always been phenomenal. A gem in LIC!

Negative experience: After being a loyal patient and spending thousands of dollars (they are very good at cross-selling every Dr in the office) and bringing my wife in as well, they changed her appointment at the last minute (something you cannot do as a patient) and then would not fix a broken cap after telling her they would over the phone.

Fantastic experience: The best dentist out there. I was referred here by colleagues and would NEVER go anywhere else. I went through a traumatic incident and had fractured my tooth. They fit me in that day and did such an amazing job throughout the long process of getting a new tooth implant. I literally can’t say more good things about this place and the lovely people that work here and am blessed I found them.

They even rolled out stroller up from downstairs for us when the elevator wasn’t working. I feel 100% cared for, safe during procedures & any concerns heard. Nothing is rushed & everything done w upmost care, however I also never feel like I have been there unnecessarily long either. Added on - had porcelain piece put in place of the temporary I had in for a few weeks. Quick, easy & painless! Dr. Bidner & Gigi and the front end staff at the desk all took the upmost care of me. I snuggled under a blanket and had a stress ball to help with any anxiety I was feeling while they were doing the dental work needed. Any questions concerns issues I was encouraged to call right away. Simply the BEST!!!
