Negative experience: Canceled my appointment without telling me just because I didn’t respond to their automated annoying calls. They call me non stop while I am at work. I took off from work to attend my appointment and they said because I never called back to confirm Im going they are canceling my appt BEFORE the time of my appt. Im livid. You are loosing money. I said I was going to be there why are you cancelling my appt. Never coming back.

Negative experience: After two weeks of searching for a dentist that deals with TMJ disorders I found this practice. I spoke with Robin on the phone and told her how hard it has been to find someone while being in severe jaw pain. Robin assured me over the phone Dr Nelly specializes in this and is very educated in these issues. She also said this package is usually 1,000 dollars but they are running a special for 350. I made an appointment on Monday and during the weekend filled out 15+ pages of very detailed paperwork. Monday comes and I receive a text saying their power is out but they can see me later that same day at 5pm. Great, a little bummed I have to wait but the same day is fine. When I arrived it was clear no one was there. Doors locked and lights out. I called and left a voicemail, emailed Robin who I have communicated multiple times with, and texted the number who made my appointment for 5. I made my way home and an hour later Robin says the power has been out and she is on vacation (which was never mentioned during the previous email exchanges that happened at later times definitely outside normal business hours) Robin seemed to do a lot of pointing the finger elsewhere and there seemed to be zero accountability on their end for the mix up. The power was restored to their building as I went to the other business to ask about it since I was there for a scheduled appointment but no one was there. Not understanding why no one could could update me between 9AM and 4PM that I couldn't be seen at 5pm especially since Robin knew personally hat I have been going through and how sensitive my situation was. I don't know who "Miss Shumi" is. I do not know who "Marc" is. I DO know Marc never called me or left a voicemail because I was with my phone all day just in case their power situation didn't get figured out. When Marc called the next morning he seemed more interested in looking up if the 5pm text message was actually sent instead of apologizing and getting me seen. Unprofessional is an understatement and now I am left looking for help again for a matter that has been impacting my daily life for a month now. Reading the other reviews makes me think they care more about your wallet than you as a person.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been to several dental offices in the area over the years, but this one is by far the best. Dr. Nelly Silva is absolutely incredible — she’s not only the most impressive dentist I’ve ever met, with extensive training across many areas of dental health, but she also has deep knowledge of airway issues and TMJ pain that affect so many people. I recently completed some extensive cosmetic work with her, including several veneers, and my smile came out fabulous. Dr. Silva worked closely with me to choose the right shade so everything looked completely natural. The procedure took a while to finish, but I was comfortable the entire time — no pain at all — which is saying a lot since I’ve always been nervous about dental work. Kudos to Dr. Silva for such a peaceful experience and incredible results! Before deciding to move forward, I did my homework and compared prices with a few other dentists. Dr. Silva wasn’t the cheapest, but her pricing was very fair and the value she provides is unmatched. The office itself is beautiful, with modern equipment, and her staff is friendly and professional. Before starting my cosmetic work, I went in for a cleaning to test things out. The hygienist was gentle, thorough, and very attentive — a huge improvement compared to past experiences where cleanings felt rough and uncomfortable. It was honestly the best hygiene visit I’ve ever had. Sehrish was wonderful and is very good at having a gental touch. I also want to mention the help I received regarding my airway health. After finishing my cosmetic treatment, Dr. Silva asked me a few questions about my sleep and explained some things about airway restriction she noticed while working. I ended up getting a sleep study, and it confirmed that I have sleep apnea. She fitted me for a dental sleep appliance, and it’s been life-changing — I sleep better, wake up less, and my husband no longer complains about my snoring. I was skeptical at first, but it’s made a noticeable difference for both of us. Dr. Silva and her team truly go above and beyond. I couldn’t recommend them more highly — the perfect blend of expertise, compassion, and genuine care.

I have also been to dentists and oral surgeons who didn’t do a proper job. This is not Dr. Silva. You will never see another dental expert again after seeing her once. I guarantee it.

From the moment we walked in, the whole team created a calm, welcoming atmosphere that put both me and my kids at ease. Dental visits can be stressful, especially for children, but this office turned it into a genuinely pleasant experience. Dr. Silva was incredible with my children. She spoke to them at their level, explained what she was doing in a gentle, reassuring way, and kept the mood light and even fun throughout the visit. Instead of being scared, my kids were smiling, asking questions, and actually enjoying their appointment, which is something I never thought I’d say about a trip to the dentist. I also had a fantastic experience with my hygienist, Sehrish. She was thorough but very gentle, always checking in to make sure I was comfortable. She explained what she was doing as she went along, offered helpful tips without being pushy, and had a calm, kind demeanor that really added to the overall sense of ease. At the front of the office, Marc, the office manager, was extremely friendly and accommodating. He helped with scheduling, answered questions about insurance and billing clearly, and greeted us like we were longtime patients even on our first visit. That combination of professionalism and warmth really set the tone for the whole experience. Overall, our visit to Advanced Dentistry of Collegeville was a calming, enjoyable experience from start to finish. They acclimated so quickly to going to ADC that we practically look forward to going to the dentist. There are so many positive things I could say, but this review would be a mile long.

The staff was all very nice, and Sehrish did a great job cleaning my teeth as well as explaining all of my potential options for how to improve my dental care. Negative experience: Horrible….from caps not cemented in to cracking one of my molars to putting a cap on a tooth they KNEW needed to be pulled….worst experience with a dentist I ever had. They are out to make as much money off of you as they can. The balance I “owe” them for these screw ups will sit in collections forever. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. And don’t come at me saying I mixed up businesses or never went to your office. Dr. Nelly Silva tricks you into feeling safe and at ease, then destroys your mouth in the process. You should be ashamed, look how many similar experiences are shared here!!

Her voice feels like a warm embrace and with someone who had severe dental anxiety I would rather go no where else for any work. Negative experience: I sadly didn’t have the greatest experience here. I stuck around for 3 appointments to see if things would be better during my next visit 6 months down the line. Each appointment involved 20+ minutes of waiting before and/or after, and during the appointment, everyone was rushing in and out of the room to do other things. A lot of my questions were left unanswered. At one point I paid to schedule with the oral surgeon and during check out I tried to schedule the procedure. There were a lot of people waiting, so I was told I would get a call back with the surgeon’s appointment openings but never did. I totally understood as it was chaotic that day and Kim probably forgot. More recently I had a dental emergency and came here and my pain was largely invalidated and dismissed. I went to a different practice the next day for another emergency appointment and my experience there was incredible. I felt listened to and the dentist investigated what was causing the severe pain and offered a solution. I wish I could’ve saved money by going there first. Trying to get my x-rays sent from here to my new dentist was difficult and required many calls and emails. Overall, I don’t doubt other people have great experiences here when you catch the practice on a good day. But when I’ve been there, they seemed very busy and understaffed to manage their volume of patients.

Negative experience: I had a very concerning experience with Advanced Dentistry of Collegeville and would absolutely not recommend them. During my visits, I was given information about dental work I supposedly needed that did not sit right with me. I questioned it and decided to seek a second opinion. After reading multiple reviews describing similar experiences, major red flags started to appear. Something about this practice felt unprofessional and unsettling. Once I switched dentists, my new provider attempted to obtain my X-rays from Advanced Dentistry of Collegeville. That process alone has taken over six weeks. They repeatedly failed to return phone calls, despite multiple attempts from both myself and my new dentist. After a lot of back-and-forth, I emailed them a signed X-ray release form and still did not receive my records in a timely manner. When I finally called the front desk myself, the receptionist emailed me my X-rays—but conveniently left out the most important one: the Panorex. When my new dentist followed up to request it, they were told it would cost $300 to release it. Patients are legally entitled to their own medical records, so this was extremely alarming. I have since heard numerous horror stories about this practice involving questionable billing and misleading treatment plans. Based on my experience, the lack of transparency, poor communication, and resistance to releasing medical records are deeply troubling. I strongly advise anyone considering this office to proceed with extreme caution—or better yet, go elsewhere. This entire experience has been unnecessarily stressful and has completely eroded my trust in this practice.

Negative experience: DO NOT USE this dentist! I have been a patient of Dr Silva’s for over 12 years. Something has drastically changed for the worse. I used to know the staff, Dr Silva remembered me, and I felt safe and cared for. None of that is true now. CHARACTER • I was her patient since before marriage, and we were pregnant at the same time! But she stopped using my nickname and reverted to my formal name despite my request; it's weird. • She repeats the same story every visit about someone taking her photo at the airport due to a hair color similarity. This is very concerning as I’ve only seen this behavior with people with degenerative mental disease. It makes me very uncomfortable that she has told me this story at least 20 times & she tells it like the first time, every time. • She exaggerates minor issues into expensive treatments. Friends and colleagues who sought second opinions found her assessments inflated. She has a reputation for price gouging. STAFF • Constant turnover. Every visit has new staff, making continuity impossible. For years I had the same hygienist every time I’d go, now it’s a new person every time. • They forget or don't know the reason for all of my appointments. I was once asked if I was there for post-op during an Invisalign check. • Scheduler claimed I hadn’t had a cleaning in 1.5 years, which was incorrect (I’m there every 6 months). Where did those records go? • Over-reliance on technology. A hygienist claimed I was missing a tooth based on a scan, despite it being visibly present. • Calling the office is difficult; you reach machines or off-site services. INVISALIGN • Dr Silva pushed Invisalign for years. I paid a $1,200 deposit but changed my mind due to finances. The office claimed it was irreversible, but Invisalign said it was no problem at all; they had to call the office and force them to refund me. • The front desk refunded me twice by mistake, requiring me to correct it. • I eventually got Invisalign with new insurance. It was supposed to be 18 weeks but turned into 18 months due to staff turnover and poor management. • Multiple Invisalign staff gave conflicting advice. One misread tray numbers and tried to have me skip 3 weeks of trays. I had to leave & come back with my calendar to prove that she was wrong. She still doubted me but went back to look & found the 3 weeks of “missing” trays right in the box. • Initially, they insisted on regular visits, then abruptly gave me all trays at once (the Invisalign person had quit). • At the end of 18 weeks my bite was misaligned. Dr Silva took photos on her personal cell phone & texted them to a friend orthodontist. I asked the Invisalign employee how Dr Silva did not foresee this outcome, & she said “I wish I knew” & that Dr Silva is “just the dentist who orders the trays” & doesn’t do anything else. She didn’t even know how to take the scan of my mouth. • I got a 2nd opinion & that orthodontist revealed: 1) Dr Silva’s awards around the office are for sales, not quality. 2) There are several tier options of Invisalign & I was only offered the most expensive one 3) A real orthodontist would have seen the scan & known that by the end, my bite would be wrong. Manual tweaking/change is required & you can’t just let the computer do all the work. • I asked Dr Silva to cover the cost of seeing a new orthodontist. Her defense was “no one is perfect”; if I’m paying thousands of dollars for treatment I do expect perfection. She offered her friend’s help instead. • I had to visit her friend’s office after hours for a scan. Got 15 more weeks of trays, then 12 more. 18 weeks became 18 MONTHS. Still no retainers 4 weeks after button removal (my new dentist orders retainers immediately to prevent shifting). • At my final appointment, staff forgot the purpose of my visit. Dr Silva was in a meeting and only polished two teeth despite promising full polishing. I’ll have my new dentist finish it. Save yourself time, money, sanity, and the safety of your teeth. DO NOT USE this practice.

I got clear aligners through this office, and not only does my smile look amazing, but my bite feels so much more comfortable. Negative experience: Update: no one answers the phone and you have to leave a message every single time you call. I was told (in person) someone would call me to schedule bc they wouldn’t do it then and they never did. I’ve been dealing with chronic dry mouth since my cleaning and they said it’s not related and wouldn’t listen when I tried to explain it’s happened when a filling came loose. I ended up going back to my old dentist who saw me the day I called bc they actually answered the phone and gave me the time of day. Read the reviews on Yelp. I wish I had. Everyone was nice and friendly. The hygienist was gentle on my cleaning but did a good job. Same with the dentist. The office and bathroom were very clean.

Negative experience: I made a big mistake by not checking the reviews before I went to this practice for Invisalign and general dentistry a couple of years ago. It turned out Invisalign was not appropriate for me due to a TMJ disorder, which went undiagnosed here. Perhaps they didn’t conduct a proper examination, I’m not really sure. So after spending $5,500 on Invisalign, I still had to go to an orthodontist for TMJ treatments and braces for $7,900. I’m currently in the last stage of treatment at the orthodontist, with much better results. I would never consider returning to this practice.

Fantastic experience: This is the best dental practice I have ever been to. They cater to adults and children. The care at this practice is exceptional, the hygienists are professional, friendly, gentle and thorough. Dr Nelly Silva is knowledgeable, she answers questions and is eager to teach and share her knowledge and will not hesitate to give you links to reputable sources so patients can make informed decisions. She engages with all her clients, she gives holistic patient centred care, she is not only competent but also committed to dental care, l truly believe she found her calling and she loves her job. She and this practice are a gem to the community. This is where the epitome of excellence in dental care gracefully entwines with ethics and integrity.

Negative experience: The "Pottstown hospital" of dentists. Pushy with sales and dishonest. Basically told me my front lower teeth would fall out if I didn't get invisalign. Did a lot of shoddy fillings which now need to be replaced. I wish I'd never gone here.

Negative experience: Great dentist if you have lots of money but she won't work to save you money, she doesn't necessarily listen to what you ask instead offers you a more expensive solution. Also don't trust her price plans every time it ends up being $2,000 more than they quote and that's not small.

Negative experience: They are more interested in selling you Invisalign than actually taking care of your teeth. They also ignored a request for my dental x-rays, which is against the law. I will be reporting them for not handing over my records. I have felt this place lacks professionalism every time I go. It always feels greasier than a used car lot. I highly recommend you avoid.

Negative experience: Every time you go to this dental practice, you will come back with non-existent problems: this needs to be done, you have a cavity here (which suddenly comes up for your next visit), your teeth’s are not aligned, your bite is not perfect which is causing…. The practice seems to be run like a (scam) business rather than a dental care practice. Here is an example: They did a filling last year and finally got it right after three visits. However, I went there today for cleaning and they removed my filling saying this was stuck which was bothering you. I mentioned it to her that it was my filling you took out. Next they recommended to do a filling again or get a crown. When I said why should I pay for the filling, Dr.Silva said it was fractured! She was not even there when I was getting my cleaning done, not the cleaning person told me it was fractured (she didn’t even know it was the filling) They just come up with things for you to keep coming back. It’s just money for them. I am never going to this practice again.

Fantastic experience: Laid back and light hearted environment. The staff are conversational, transparent, and Easy to work with, helped make a payment plan for alignment. Happy patient here.

Negative experience: The doctor was nice. But somehow I feel like she just wanted my money. She said I had a lot of more cavities. But today I went to other place to try. They said differently, I only have a little one cavity. Never go to that place again. Luckily I checked on yelp. Other people said the same.

Negative experience: Went in for a routine cleaning. Left with a $700 bill which really shocked me. I was told that my Insurance Company would reimburse me. Reason being they were no longer participating with my insurance. After months of waiting to be reimbursed, I reached out to my insurance company. My insurance company had paid the claim to Dr. Silva and also stated they were in the Network. Red flags or bells should have went off because I've always had dental insurance and never paid that amount of $$$ for dental coverage. I was able to recoup some of the $$ paid to the practice, but it took many calls to Brandy to actually get the funds. I am a business person myself and this is not my way of doing business. Therefore, I will definitely be seeking my Dental care elsewhere. It's very unfortunate, I was really looking forward to supporting Advanced Dentistry of Collegeville.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Dr. Silva for the past 5 plus years. Her office and staff are so kind and helpful. Dr Silva has state of the art treatments. She treated my sleep apnea and is treating my brother who has multiple disabilities with Night laser apnea treatment. We are so happy to find a treatment that is noninvasive and doesn't require a c pap mask. The whole team is always friendly and make you feel right at home. Especially Brandi! I can't recommend them enough!

Negative experience: This office was absolutely horrible to deal with. My husband and I went on different days and we were both charged for services that were never done. That is a Huge red flag!!! I feel terrible for the patients that don't understand how to read their dental claims. When calling the office to have them send a corrective claim to the insurance company, they were extremely rude and difficult to deal with. The lady refused to send the corrective claim with the right code to the insurance company for the pictures that were taken on my husband. They billed out for a full set of X-rays (D0210) that were never taken, so now the insurance company won't cover another set for three years. What they did take was a 2D oral/facial photographic images, which the code is (D0350). Also when I went in for my cleaning I had to tell the Hygienist she forgot to clean the lower right quadrant and my upper front teeth, that is not high end dentistry if you ask me, then the dentist came in to do my exam and with out even looking at X-rays she wanted to crown all my back molars. The funny thing is she wanted to do the same on my husband. Being in the dental field for over 25 years, it shocked me that practices like this stay in practice. There were a ton of RED FLAGS with this Pratice!! I would stay far away from this place!
