Family Dental Center is a general dental practice on 82nd Street in Jackson Heights, Queens. We take most insurances with little or no out of pocket costs. We have Spanish speaking services. Comfort is our #1 priority.
We offer the full range of dental services including: Emergency dentistry, root canals, fillings, crowns, dentures, teeth whitening, and dental cleanings.

2 months ago Fantastic experience: My first visit with Dr. Eillot Sabbagh, was great, he listens to your issues with your teeth, he gives a thorough examination, and all done with comfort and pain free, My cleaning was fantastic. The staff are so friendly and concerned about your needs,Valeria and Gloria are angels, they're so welcoming , the place is clean , it feels like family there. My second visit i brought my daughter, to be seen , here at the clinic, im certain she will receive great care, just as I did. First off they told me I can never change dentist since I missed an appointment in 2024 despite the fact I made an appointment for a specific doctor. Horrible I’m only going back so they can fix my issue and I’ll never come back again. I’m in such much pain I can’t even think

6 months ago Negative experience: So pulled my kids out of school to get to the appointment 45 mins before it started only to be spoken to rudely by the desk clerk named Rosie I here’d good things about the doctors but I refused to spoken as if I was 5 years old.I explain to Rosie i picked the kids up from school so I only had one of the medical cards which there primary care office was in in the next suite over so I went and got a copy so that she put info in the system so because it was more work for her she was annoyed with me and letting me know that basically she could not add the information .She gave me back my paperwork and did add the kids when I tried to ask to speak with someone in charge I was sent to leave a voicemail. So now I have to make a new appointment for my kids at another office with a different doctor all because she didn’t fill like adding them in the system. It’s a shame because if one of my kids was in pain Rosie was not concern at all and had a nasty response rolling her eyes at just not the person you want on the front line of your business. Anyway I’m glad I did not stick around for what else is to come with the employees. It’s okay to have a hard day but not okay to take it out on others. We will head for the emergency room where they are more welcoming. Have a bless da!!
6 months ago Negative experience: I truly love the doctor and the technicians — they’ve always been great. However, being placed on hold for over 10 minutes while receiving a text response instead of speaking to someone on the phone is frustrating and unacceptable. I even got hung up on and never heard a hello. As someone who works in the veterinary field myself, I know reception should never leave clients on hold that long, especially when they’re actively responding via text. Communication like this really needs improvement. Make it make sense ?!

7 months ago Fantastic experience: Dr. Gusita was amazing, very personable and kind! She made me feel at ease by taking the time to share with me about who she is and her passion for dentistry! They took HealthFirst Insurance, everything was filled out online quick fast and easy before my appointment! I am glad I went here! The team was fast and the XRay guy did a great job being fast and efficient and friendly! I would recommend coming here. I got a cleaning and recommended for teeth extractions.

11 months ago Fantastic experience: I had a loud snoring problem, went through sleep test and found that I have Obstructive Sleep Apnea. Other doctor recommended me a CPAP machine and I was very unsatisfied with machine and don’t want to be dependent on any Machine. I search on the google how can I treat my sleep Apnea and found that Dentist Doctor can solve the obstructive Sleep Apnea problem through modern method of Oral Appliance. I immediately visited the Pura Dental, Jackson Height and found Doctor is so kind, helpful and tried to fix my problem as soon as possible as if she is having pain. She took all the treatment and measurement very quick and sent the all measurement and findings to the lab to get my oral appliance. Yesterday, I got my oral Appliance and wore my Appliance at night . This morning, I found that I had very deep sleep and less fatigue and more comfort and feels that the world is so beautiful. I am having an Obstructive Sleep Apnea problem, went to Pura Dental and wore My Oral Appliance after first night, I had a very good and deep sleep and less fatigue.I really want to thank Pura Dental, Doctors for treating my discomfort. I have to keep on wearing Oral Appliance every night before bed and Hopefully, with the time passes my Sleep Apnea problem will be solved by 100%. I would really like to thank all the Pura Dental Family and Doctors and highly recommend for treatment of Sleep Apnea problem and all other Teeth, Gums etc problem.

1 year ago Negative experience: I went for consultation. A guy took the x-ray. He was nice. Then took me to other room for cleaning which I didn't ask for. Then two guys came in and did cleaning which lasted for less than 5 mins and then didn't even clean it thoroughly. My 2 molars and wisdom teeth were untouched. I could feel the plaque on those teeth near gums. Also my gum was hurting for the majority of time. They were rushing. They were talking to me mid cleaning with mask, faceshield and the cleaning machine sound, how am I supposed to hear you. Wouldn't really recommend. Before the owner says their records show no such patient showed up in their system, it is because sometimes people don't really use their full name on a google account.

I told them I was on blood thinners and that the dentist at Church dug into my gums and gave me clots all over my mouth. Super happy with the bedside manner at this dentist office. 1 year ago Negative experience: This is the worst made dentures for my wife that looks like a pancake they said they will fix and we are still waiting months later. The wait in the office is over 2hours they have selected people who come in and they call ahead

1 year ago Negative experience: The dental office on Junction Boulevard is the worst dentist I have ever been to, first off to wait an hour and a half (which is ABSURD) but then to notice the was the room dirty which I pointed out and then the doctor took no responsibility and told the assistant to sit down when she was getting up to clean the very noticeable paste or blood on the tray is just horrible and irresponsible of the Doctor. Btw saliva is clear so if I can see all of that what am I not seeing? If you don’t properly clean the room, how can I expect you to properly clean the instruments? And if a patient points this out to you, you apologize and take care of it. You don’t tell the assistant to sit down when she’s actually doing the right thing and switching out the tray you don’t get defensive and say how you change your gloves 1000 times a day, you’re supposed to do that . I don’t care if you are accepting Medicaid, the room should be SPOTLESS. I have experience in the dental field and I would be horrified if that was my office. And now a few weeks later as I’m trying to get copies of my x-rays I have been hung up on at least four times. That is why I’m leaving this review. I will be coming in to get my x-rays in person and it will be the last you ever hear of me. You should all be ashamed of yourselves .

1 year ago Fantastic experience: On my last visit, I had to wait about 4 hours which I understand things happen and sometimes some patients require extra time. But what I really did not appreciate was the comments from an old Latino lady taking x-rays, she made those comments couple of times and for some reason she found it funny. Hopefully she could stop doing that. On the other hand, doctor made a great job and the rest of the team are amazing.

Priority should always be the patients when you’re working, you’re a Doctor, be more professional in the work environment.

2 years ago Positive experience: Lovely staff, honestly the best X-rays I've ever had. That X-ray guy needs to be bumped up to CEO of something. He didn't have to redo any, was very fast, knew exactly how to get it done. Hopefully he's there next time I need X-rays! The dentist was knowledgeable, efficient, and courteous. My major problem with any business is waiting time. My time is very important; as it is for everyone in life. Scheduling people and having them wait around for an hour or more is disregarding the importance of other people's time. Staggering your clients appointments out appropriately doesn't involve rocket science, and if managed properly can result in seeing everyone who needs to be seen while garnering the same revenue for the business. I'd rate it 5/5, but that wait kills it. I'll be going back they're great other than that.

2 years ago Fantastic experience: I only came because Matt was there he’s been my Dentist for a couple of years and makes me very comfortable. Because I am very uncomfortable with any in the past.
2 years ago Negative experience: I don’t write many reviews but this place was so horrible. They rescheduled my appointment for an earlier date — when I come in I see someone else there very soon several people and we all waited for the doctor to get there. How is that fair? The office is so poorly run and needs a major upgrade. The older lady who took the x-rays was so rude and then just put me in a room after with no update. Just the worst experience ever and never coming back. I’m genuinely confused when these reviews are from.
