Fantastic experience: Annie and Kennedy are AMAZING hygienists! They are fun, friendly, knowledgeable but must importantly they are gentle and caring. I LOVE THEM!

Positive experience: I've been going to Advantage Dental for many years. I've always liked the dentist and the hygienist there. My experience yesterday was very good. I'm an easy patient because I've always taken care of my teeth, my gums and I floss regularly. However, because of Staff shortages it hamstrings the schedulers for patients which often times makes them cancel existing appointments that they make for patients, and then reschedule them (making patients wait even longer to get in to see the dentist) which causes patients to seek other dentist's office, so they can get their teeth taken care of. I know my wife is one of them who left Advantage Dental & found another dentist. It happened to me on Monday when they called and said they had to cancel my June 22nd appointment, and for me to go in yesterday the 16th at 8:00 a.m. Because of my schedule I was able to make it work. Most people probably can't do that. The powers that be there ought to invest in their staff and pay them enough so that they can have more staff to cover patients (dentists & hygienists) and not have to reschedule last minute their patients like they did me on Monday. Dentist offices generate a lot of money so they need to quit keeping all the money for themselves and pay more people to work there. True story. Thanks, Dan

Negative experience: Horrible place to go, especially if you have an emergency. They have made it clear that they literally have like 15,000 patients. But they have like 2 maybe 3 dentists. Make it make sense. I had an appointment to get actual work done on my teeth for a year. Few days before the appointment they call and cancel on me and reschedule me for 6 months from that date. Of course I had to get sick on the day of my appointment. God forbid I have something go wrong because now I have a dental emergency from my decaying loose molar that has a cavity down to the root. I blame them for how bad my teeth have gotten. If they could have actually gotten me in and not canceled on me so many times. Because I literally call every night begging them to call me if there is any way there is a cancelation and can see me. They finally called me last week and said they could get me in today and 1 hour before the appointment they called and canceled on me again. Now rescheduled me for August. I cannot wait until then. This is literally a dental emergency. I can't eat, I can't even drink without it hurting, I can't work because im in so much pain and have to put orajel on it every 30 minutes. I'm this close to pulling the tooth out myself and they do not care. They say there is nothing they can do. But encourage us as patients to call every day asking to get on the cancelation list. They even encourage you to come in person and sit in the lobby praying they will help you if you dedicate your entire day to sitting there. It's like a lottery being chosen to get in at an earlier date. I am livid and in pain. I am going to Aspen Dental in 2 days because they can actually get me in. But I have to drive to Grants Pass to their location. I am desperate. DO NOT waste your time going to Advantage Dental. Your teeth will rot and fall out before they will ever get you in for any work to be done. Thank me later.

Fantastic experience: The new manager Stevie went above and beyond for me. I was having a really hard time with my insurance, and she helped me navigate the process and was patient with me. She is a huge asset to your company and this office.

Negative experience: I took my autistic son to Advantage Dental for a check-up. Children with autism often need extra patience during procedures like dental X-rays, but unfortunately the staff did not seem willing to provide that patience. After only a short attempt, they became visibly impatient and suggested that I take my son back to the dental clinic that accepted our previous insurance. What was even more disappointing was the lack of communication. The staff discussed my son’s dental situation among themselves but did not clearly explain anything to me about his oral health. As a parent, I found this experience unprofessional and discouraging. Families with children who have special needs deserve patience, respect, and clear communication when seeking dental care.

Fantastic experience: Annie is amazing person, she's kind understanding and patient. She's not only there to just do her job and leave like most people do. She actually has a conversation with you like a real human being. I really appreciate how all the staff is caring and gentle with not just my physical pain but me feelings as well, I was scared at first but now it's not scary anymore and I really enjoy seeing them.

Fantastic experience: My mouth cannot say enough for the exceptional care and treatment I was given by Dr. Hunter and her dental hygienist, Ashley. They're fun, they're real, they're professional. They are also FABULOUS in their care to my 2.5 and 5 year old minions. We all leave with smiles for miles, thank you!

Negative experience: If you need immediate dental work don’t even bother. I have been trying to get fillings from them since 2024, and in November of 2025 I finally had my appointment for fillings that I had been waiting over a year for. Well the day before my appointment they called me and canceled my appointment and rescheduled it for January of 2027. Ive had to seek dental treatment elsewhere and pay out of pocket because my teeth would not last until 2027. I also brought up concerns for a specific tooth I had been having pain in. I was told there’s no cavity and that I just have grooved teeth, and that pain I’m feeling is all in my head. After getting a second opinion and paying out of pocket I was informed that I don’t have grooved teeth and that I’m lucky I came in because it almost needed a root canal. I’m extremely disappointed in the care I’ve gotten at advantage, and whenever I would call to try and find an opening that wasn’t over a year out I was met with attitude from the receptionist. Truly the only positive experience I’ve had here is my dental hygienist is the kindest young lady and cares about her patients. For the rest of the staff and dentists I can’t say the same. EDIT: And after reading more reviews it’s apparent that I’m not the only one this has been happening too. They have a very clear pattern of booking appointments 6-12 months out and will cancel a few days before just to reschedule you another year out. So once again if you need immediate dental work I would go anywhere but here.

Negative experience: i went one time and got a scan, they said they would call back monday and it’s now friday. i’ve called at least 10 times and never still get a call back, im still in tooth pain & all they gave me were pain meds that i already have at home.

Negative experience: I waited over 9 months to have a root canal and filling done. My insurance is ending December 31st and appointment was December 19th. I received a phone call today stating I couldn’t be seen. Staff was quite rude about it. They basically screwed me over.

Negative experience: Would do 0 stars if I could. Drove an hour here with my 2 year old boy to be seen, and receptionist said they gave his appointment to someone else in need. And this was the last of my money I had to put into gas instead of getting him Christmas gifts.

Negative experience: Horrible. Anytime you need things done it’s a year out at least. If you break a tooth like in my case you pretty much told me I have to wait 12 months to get in. Told them I’m in lots of pain and might need a root canal. They told me they can’t even get me in to look at it. I asked them what can I do ? They pretty much told me to wait. I can’t eat or drink. I had to go to an urgent care for antibiotics cause it’s infected. Told them that and they didn’t seem to care

Fantastic experience: If I could give Caroline Hunter (my dentist) at Advantage dental 10 stars I would. In the past getting dental work always scared me & was painful, but since becoming a patient of hers I’m no longer afraid of getting work done. She gentle, kind, funny and beyond talented at what she does. Her assistant and her make your treatment go by so fast with their upbeat personality & caring nature. EVERYONE I have had a chance to meet at Advantage dental has been beyond kind and caring. I can’t say it enough Caroline is simply amazing.

Negative experience: My daughter has been going here for years and every time we go in they never take care of her teeth. It’s always an exam and cleaning and then they make an appointment for another year out. The people in the office are short with you and hang up before you’ve even finished your sentence. Days ago I requested medical records be sent to the new dentist and they declined to do it on time they make it difficult to get any care and take forever to get an appointment. Most definitely would not recommend. In fact, we changed our insurance just to see a different dentist in town that got us in right away.

Negative experience: Wait a year for an appointment to only get a call to state they must reschedule. Guess when the next available appointment is....a year away. This is the second time I have waited nearly a year for a routine dental need to have them cancel and make me wait another year. This is horrible access!!!

Negative experience: The scheduler suddenly hung up on me when I asked whether the dentist was good. That was new, and not reassuring.

Negative experience: I have had an appointment scheduled 6+ months out to have them call me to cancel a week before the appointment. They schedule clients so far out that by the time you end up getting in more damage has been done to your teeth. They never answer their phones or return voice messages either. This is the most unprofessional ridiculous dental office I have ever had to deal with…

Negative experience: They keep canceling appointments that are months wit long. Can't keep staff. Have ruined a denture to the point I need a whole new one now. So sad I got involved with this company

Fantastic experience: Dr. Hunter is extremely kind and fun. She made me feel very comfortable. Annie is really good at what she does because she loves her job. She made me feel extremely comfortable and I never felt any pain. She also helps put up all the decorations in the office and she always does an outstanding job at that as well. I would recommend Advantage Dental to everyone. I would recommend them to all my friends and family. Negative experience: They'll book you 6 months out, then cancel a couple of days before without so much as an apology. All you get is a vague message "We need to reschedule, please call us". Then you're pushed another 2 months out. Based on other reviews, this isn't a one off, it's a pattern. Overbooking and cherry picking? Avoiding insurance patient? Or just plain mismanaged? Don't bother with a generic response, I won't be calling back.

Positive experience: Love these guys! They do great work for being OHP related. If you could get appointments that weren’t a year apart, it would be perfect but it’s hard to get an appointment.

Negative experience: The miniscule amount of professionalism is astounding. I waited 4 months for my appointment ( regular wait time ) and then they canceled it under my nose without contacting me for rescheduling me because the dentist was sick or something??? Let me show up for "my appointment" just to tell me I need to reschedule as if I didn't just take the day off work to specifically make this absurdly late scheduleing to be there. And then they didn't see the problem with that and then they scheduled me out for another 6 months. Without so little as an I'm so sorry for the lack of communication. They didn't care.

Fantastic experience: Annie was amazing in helping figure out the absolute best option for my son and his teeth. She was knowledgeable and helped myself and son understand the severity of my sons teeth. She wanted to make sure every option was considered before extraction and unfortunately extraction was the best option. She was fantastic in helping my 12yr old understand the importance of dental care and demonstrating proper flossing. I won’t be taking my son anywhere else for my children’s dental needs. The dentist and dental assistant who performed their extraction were also very comforting to my son and as a team my son received amazing care. Would recommend Annie to anyone with children

Fantastic experience: I had to get worked up for a crown. Dr. Hunter and her assistant Ashley were wonderful. Extremely enjoyable to be going through a not so wonderful procedure with; they actually made it fun. Both were very articulate and willing to discuss details of my procedure and options. I'm actually looking forward to seeing them both again at my next crown appointment.

Fantastic experience: If you've been a long time patient here, your patience has paid off! This place has done a complete 180 in energy of the staff, timeliness, even cleanliness. Negative experience: The girl who did my teeth was great and everything was fine.. I just did not like that. The last time I was there they told me I was gonna be a feeling for this next time, but it didn’t happen other than that. Everything was OK.

Fantastic experience: Came in expecting to get 1 filing but since they had a bunch of no shows I was able to get 2 and a cleaning the same day. The dentist and her tech I saw today were super nice and friendly. Made me feel comfortable and checked to make sure I was doing good throughout the process. Also the new gal that is the dental hygienist was very friendly and gave me good tips on what to improve on when cleaning my teeth at home.

Fantastic experience: Advantage Dental is not like your typical dental office the care team they have there are very friendly, patient and really project positivity. The compassion they show made me feel like there was nothing to fear and as oral health can be a sensitive issue they really make you feel like there is nothing to be ashamed of, my experience was wonderful and I came away knowing more about how to maintain my oral health. Thank you to all of the Advantage Dental team for a wonderfully gentle experience.

Negative experience: TLDR; Extremely unprofessional when it comes to honoring appointments and scheduling them. Find another dentist if you have a choice, they will waste your time on the scale of years. My issues very closely relate to the other recent 1 star review. Impossible to get an appointment anytime remotely close, and they will just drop the appointment you scheduled, a year ago, a week before and then when you try to call and figure out what’s going on they literally never answer the phone. When you ask for a callback they wait a week then call you, and if you miss the call, time to start the process over again, just to have to schedule a year out. It’s the only dentist I can use on my insurance, so I might as well not have dental coverage. Staff and everyone is nice, if you can even get in the door. I’ve had to dig out tooth shards, from a previous extraction I’ve had here, with tweezers and a prayer because they will not get me in the door. Regardless of the reasons, or intentions (which I doubt are negative) it’s extremely unprofessional the way they run things. If you have a choice of dentist do not choose this one, they will waste your time.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Advantage Dental for a few years now. I’m very happy with care I have received from the moment I enter to check out. The hygienist is gentle and thorough she devoted to cleaning each tooth until sparkles, and shares tips on daily care which is helpful. The doctor takes the extra time to ensure all is good before I leave and answers any questions or concerns I may have. I would highly recommend Advantage Dental.

Positive experience: I have had a different dentist every single time I’ve been here. I’m not sure why. But I’ve always had good experiences, just would be nice to have the same dentist see me for more than one appointment.

Negative experience: Very nice staff, this review is not reflective of the people, but the organization. This office will cancel your appointment the day-of and can’t reschedule you until the following year (not exaggerating. My appointment for March 20, 2025 was offered to be rescheduled for May 2026) but you know what, that one will probably get cancelled too. They’re over scheduled and under staffed. Do everyone a favor and find another dentist so they can see the patients they already have. I don’t understand how this keeps happening. This is not the first time my appointment has been cancelled last minute. I’ve been trying to get a cleaning for 2 years, I can’t wait another. The only way to get in sooner is to call every day and try to get in a cancellation slot. As a busy mom I don’t have time for that every time I need an appointment. What’s the point of the schedule if this is practically the only way to be seen? They also looked up my husband’s file so I could schedule for him and they had that he’d had a single wisdom tooth extracted (he hasn’t) so not sure how that happened. Just generally the worst organization and communication, and so unprofessional to cancel the same day. It’s a shame because the people suffering are the hard working staff trying to serve their patients. No wonder they’re always short staffed.

Positive experience: Great place if you can get in for the appointment. They do great dental work in a short and pain free amount of time and their employees are friendly and informative. But it can take 6 months to a year to get an appt. sometimes and that’s too long to wait when you have dental issues.

Negative experience: Told them four times at four separate appointments over two years that I was experiencing abnormal pain and swelling in my tooth and I was blown off every time, I finally got into a new dentist today and found out my tooth died, this could have been prevented if they listened to me the first time two years ago.

Negative experience: Went into the office on July 3rd because I was having severe pain they prescribed me amoxicillin because I asked for it I knew it was an infection I can tell over the weekend every time I ate the pain intensified so bad that even taken ibuprofen 800 double strength Tylenol and some Orajel it still didn't relieve it especially after I ate the nerve pain would shoot down to my bottom teeth and it was awful I called the dentist this morning on the 8th of July and I can't get any medication because the incompetence of the dentist who said she doesn't feel good prescribing me pain medication I hope she's denied sometimes this is the worst service I ever received Annie in the office is great no problem with the hygienist just some dentist and it's not Dr Cook some other dentist I think this place is just a bunch of money grabbing people they don't help you they just want your insurance I'm so devastated over all this and so much in pain I hope to find a better Dental Place just a little FYI for anybody thinking about going there hoping also to find the corporate office so I can make my complaint official.

Fantastic experience: My hygienist Annie is the best! Not only did she make me feel comfortable, she was extremely gentle. Literally the best cleaning I have experienced and I'm genuinely looking forward to coming back again. Thank you Advantage Dental for have such amazing staff!

Positive experience: If you're a patient and miss an appointment be prepared to wait up to nine months or more for an appointment. I had a wisdom tooth that was really bothering me though. I was able to come in at 8:00 in the morning as a walk in. The wait wasn't too bad. They were able to squeeze me in at 10:30. It was quick and easy, in and out. I did end up calling them back a few hours later due to an extreme pain concern. I asked if they could prescribe anything. The receptionist didn't really take care of my concern. I would have appreciated more concern or call back from the dentist. The pain did end up going away though.
