Fantastic experience: When I needed my first root canal, I didn't know what to expect. From the information on their website, to the warm greeting at the front desk, to the step-by-step explanation of what would happen and why, the experience was as carefree as a root canal can be! Doctor Wright and his assistant were focused on my comfort, always checking to ensure I was doing well, and keeping me informed about what was happening next. I didn't think it would be pain-free, but it was! Dr. Wright did not proceed until I could verify my tooth and gums were numb enough for me to feel no discomfort. Not to mention, I had a view of our beautiful Wisconsin State Capitol from the chair. I highly recommend MEA.

Negative experience: Dr wright is very kind and very efficient in his job. However the customer service can make or break a business and it breaks his business in my opinion. Was waiting for over 20 minutes in the waiting room w/o a word about the delay. If I had been 20 min late, the appointment would have been canceled. Before getting X-rays was not asked any background information including the ever so important are you pregnant. They also have this weird upsell of the 3D x-ray in which they wait until you're actually in the X-ray machine itself and then inform you that it's going to be an extra charge of several hundred dollars. Would not recommend and told my referring dentist who referred me someplace else for future treatment.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Wright and his assistant were very professional and took good care of me. The beautiful view of the Capitol took my mind off of the rot canal.

Fantastic experience: I've had a years-long anxiety surrounding dentistry. Multiple bad experiences as a child and teenager made me steer clear of needing anything beyond regular cleanings. But, life happens, and I needed a root canal. This experience was the most comfortable and kind that a root canal can be, from the front desk, all the way to the procedure itself was perfect. The procedure was very quick, they kept my tooth in tact, i was treated with gentleness and respect despite my anxiety, and had a wonderful conversation with my dental assistant who connected with me very quickly! I can confidently recommend this office to anyone else who feels afraid of the idea of a dental procedure and needs a root canal. They will make you forget what you were even worried about!

Fantastic experience: I had a root canal recently and aside from the numbing shots there was no pain during the procedure. The endodontist had such a calm demeanor that it helped defray any anxiety I might have experienced. He would speak quietly telling me what to expect before he did it. I honestly think I was starting to fall asleep a couple times because I heard myself make what sounded like a snore!!! I have sleep apnea so no surprise and I know that sound. Finally I am amazed at only mild ache after the root canal and only have needed Tylenol one time the first day. This was a very positive experience and I highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Terrible time dealing with a temporary crown, which couldn’t be removed. Along with tooth pain. Was referred to MEA by my dentist. I ended up having a time crunch because of insurance purposes. MEA was phenomenal about squeezing me in. Dr. Wright and assistant Sherry, I can’t say enough good things about. They explained everything thoroughly and very calming. All the staff, including front desk, made my overall experience with my first root canal as good as it could be. Very pleased.

Fantastic experience: I am no longer scared of the words “root canal”!!!! This is all due to the amazing experience that I had at Madison Endodontics! Starting with Tammy….she did everting necessary to get me in asap!!! Mary and Dr Andrew Wright worked sooooooo well together…as they say, like a well-oiled machine! The communication between the two during the procedure was that of calmness and complete respect for one another! And then the check out procedure was simple as well (I am so sorry for not asking her name)! The entire team deserves 10 stars out of 5 stars for sure!!!!

Fantastic experience: When does one look forward to a root canal? Well, I did and it paid off. This possible only from the superlative treatment from Sherry and Dr. Andrew W. at Madison Endodontics Associates, (MEA). Tooth 18 is no walk in the park, but Sherry and Andrew--who's economy of professionalism, (they say please and thank you to each other in lieu of saying "can you take this and give me that")...all done in calming whisper tones. I"ll also acknowledge mgt and the front desk as all the steps were "pre-ordained", no waits, no surprises. Honestly, I've told 3 friends already how easy the root canal was. Oh and pain? What pain? I took 3 Ibuprofens--per the recommendation immediately after but that was one and done. No need for any more.

Fantastic experience: I am usually the kind of patient that has dental anxiety and when I say that my root canal was completely painless, I mean that. Even after all the numbing wore off a few hours later, it's still manageable with ibuprofen. This was the best dental experience I have ever had. I travelled over two hours to be serviced by Dr. Wright and I am glad I did. I will be only going to him for root canals.

Fantastic experience: I have been to several dentists in my life and I have had a near death experience with my wisdom teeth extractions. I was in need of a root canal And the VA referred me out to MEA. I was extremely nervous going into have the procedure because I have never had one before. The staff was very friendly and understanding. I was offered laughing gas to relax me and the dentist told me he wouldn’t work on my tooth unless it was 100% numb. I’m proud to say that was the best dental visit I have ever had. I felt very safe and taken care of. I highly recommend MEA to anyone.

Positive experience: Dr was nice but there was a sticker shock with prices. No transparency on actual costs. No estimate on what it would cost. I’m a teacher and can’t afford the extra costs, “not covered by insurance”, of a 360 degree scan at $240. Especially if I’m expected to pay that day. Unfortunately this is why so many have such dental issues because they can’t afford treatment

My procedure was having a root canal redone. It took half the time I expected. After my novacaine wore off, i used tylenol. Next day, zero pain. Great job. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: This was my best dental experience. I had a root canal done, referred by my regular dentist. The staff here were helpful, answered my questions, over the phone and in person. The dental assistant explained what she was doing and why, and what to expect. The dentist who did the procedure was very professional and showed he cared about my comfort and wellbeing (I'm sorry I cannot remember his name). He explained everything that he was doing and asked if I had questions. He also told me to let him know if I had any discomfort at all during the procedure. I was numb the whole time. I felt comfortable amd at peace. I couldn't recommend Madison Endodontic Associates anymore than what I am.

Fantastic experience: I have had one root canal done by Madison Endodontics. My wife has had one done there as well. I would have had a second one done there recently and Dr. Ries did much less to my tooth so that now I don’t require the root canal. There is no better place to go in the Madison area for specialized dental care. The purpose of a root canal is to remove the root from the tooth. Many dentists leave parts of the roots which results in the eventual necessity of removing the tooth. When I had my one root canal done here, one of my roots was particularly challenging to get clean. Dr. Ries stayed with it. He got it. Many other dentists would have given up. Also, the staff at this office are all incredibly dedicated and sincere in their commitment to take care of every patient who walks through the door. I cannot stress enough how well you will be taken care of by everyone if you choose to have your teeth tended to at Madison Endodontics. Addendum 29 October 2024: I had an appointment today because it looked like I needed another root canal. After the assistant, Barbara took great care of me doing the required x-rays and doing my intake, I saw Dr. Wright. He was able to detect a faint indication of the roots of the tooth in question being cracked. He discussed my options with me and I was able to schedule an appointment with an oral surgeon that he recommended. As with every previous appointment that I have had with Madison Endodontics, I am 100% pleased with how well they took care of me. Thank you.

During the day of the root canal procedures. Dental assistant Barbara was friendly, informal and helped Doctor Wright perform each task smoothly. The process took a little longer than expected, but overall, no complaints. Doctor Wright is highly experienced in his trade and truly cares for his patients. Located on the 2nd floor of the building, the business is very clean, up to date on technology, and seating from lobby to surgical room is comfortable.

From the moment I was greeted by Barbara and got in the chair, to working with Dr. Wright who did my root canal. It was the best experience it could have been considering. I have had some bad luck in the past with novocaine not taking effect before a procedure but Dr. Wright tested and re-administered until all was good. I did not feel any pain during the procedure and in fact fell asleep during it! Also had an eval done of a different tooth that is cracked and determined I need a root canal in that as well. I am in process of scheduling that through the Madison VA and would not have anyone else do it but Madison Endodontics!

Fantastic experience: I experienced intense tooth pain out of nowhere in the middle of the night. Awful. First thing the next morning I got an endodontic referral from my dentist and called MEA. I was told they were all booked that day but they would squeeze me in. Saw Dr. Gartenberg and his very proficient assistant and they determined a root canal was necessary. About an hour later I was done with the procedure and pain-free. I felt like I was in very competent hands throughout. Thanks Dr. G and thanks to your assistant who's name is so easy to forget ;)

When it came my time for a root canal, I selected MEA because off the good experiences my patients have had and I was not disappointed!!!! I went in with severe pain and came out with none. Fantastic experience: Who wants a root canal? No one. However, if you have to have one, you could do a lot worse than MEA. They were careful, considerate, and it was all over pretty quickly. Very little pain or discomfort.

Fantastic experience: Root canals are no fun — everybody knows that. But if you need one, have Dr. Wright do it. He and his assistant are thoroughly professional and know what they're doing. Aside from the slight pinprick of the lidocaine, there is absolutely no pain during the procedure. Followup directions are very thoroughly explained. I was unfortunate enough to need two root canals in the last three months but fortunate enough to have Dr. Wright do both. If I ever need another one, I know where I'm going.

Dr. Wright was one of the best (under Dental umbrella) practitioners I have ever visted. He has a very calming voice and gentle with his patients. He explained everything as he went along, cared about your comfort and overall results. I HIGHLY recommend him. The office is very clean and modern the office staff cares about very much about there job and environment. Also I've been in a lot of dental chairs and this was the most comfortable head rest, I know strange comment but seriously when you are gonna be laying down for a hour comfort matters!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Wright and staff did a great job during my time there to get a root canal. Dr. Wright took the time to explain all of my options and then gave me time to decide what was best for me going forward. Once I made the decision to move forward with the root canal, they were quick but thorough with little to no pain during what is thought to be a really bad procedure to have. Fantastic experience: Dr. Wright is so calm and patient. He makes sure there's NO pain with a root canal. He's clearly kind to the staff and they are warm and wonderful, too. During the procedure, he checked often to make sure I was comfortable and also described what was going to happen, such as "you're going to hear this" or "there's going to be some vibration" which put me at ease through the whole thing. I tell everyone how terrific Dr. Wright and the staff are at Madison Endodontic Associates.
