Experiencia fantástica: We’ve be coming here since my son got teeth (he’s 4 now). We pulled up this morning and he goes “Yay I love coming to the dentist! This is my favorite place”. To me that speaks volumes as an adult that is still working through my own dental fears. Unfortunately we’ve needed a few fillings for my son and even that experience has been enjoyable and positive. I would never choose another dentist for my kids. The dentists here have an amazing balance between educating us as parents and teaching the kids healthy habits . All the staff is amazing! We’ve worked with both Dr. Neiders and Dr Raines.

I’m an adult, getting braces (again), and was hesitant. However, everyone in the office is pleasant. It’s a welcoming atmosphere, and the office itself is gorgeous. Tamara was patient, explaining the process, step-by-step. Vannah was knowledgeable and super friendly. I noticed a teenage boy excited to tell her that he won his game and she was so happy for him. :-) Dr. Mike is cool and down to earth, and Alexis is skilled and awesome!!! I know I’m in good hands!

He’s always so considerate and takes the time to speak with you and answer any question, not to mention my daughter loves him! The staff is always so kind as well. We wouldn’t go anywhere else!!!

The dentist we saw fully explained his treatment plan and the issues that needed to be fixed. I have confidence that they will take good care of my son and his advanced dental needs.

Experiencia positiva: My family is new to South Carolina and were in search of a pediatric dentist for our daughter . We do not have dental insurance, so I messaged to find out what the cost of an exam , cleaning , and x-rays would be . They were able to get my daughter in the very next day which was nice . The office staff was very welcoming and everybody was friendly . However , I was told the appointment was at 10:10. We arrived at 10:00 so I could fill out paperwork prior to the appointment. We ended up waiting for almost 45 minutes in the waiting room ! That’s a bit much in my opinion . The wait in the waiting room took longer than her entire appointment. They then proceeded to give me a treatment plan of almost $2000 to fix a few cavities in my daughters front teeth . She’s been to 2 other dentists prior , and due to her age and the fact that those teeth will fall out in about the next year , they suggested watching them unless they are causing pain . The hygienist then gave her fluoride without asking and our family is against the use of fluoride. I went to check out and pay , and was given a price that was $130 higher than what I was quoted all because they took extra x-rays and didn’t ask and gave her fluoride that I didn’t approve. Also, if you prefer that every other person in the building not know your child’s dental issues , this is not the place for you ! It’s a big open room with dental chairs pretty much on top of each other . The person next to you an see & hear everything that’s going on with your child’s appointment.

Experiencia fantástica: Amazing experiences both visits with my toddler. 2 goes no where in public well..because he's 2. Both visits have been a delight and make him look like an angel. They were so incredibly patient and took the majority of the time to ensure he was comfortable with the idea of the dentist. Dr Neiders sang to him, was, silly and generally patient. The hygienist was incredible with him. He got a really great prize at the end he's still proud of and even wanted to give them all a hug when he left. He told everyone he saw that day he want to the dentist and as soon as we walked out he requested "one more time?!". We're sold. This is our dentist.

I’ve had the pleasure of working with both Dr. Nieders and Dr. Hopkins for my children and they have both been exemplary in taking care of their dental needs. They explain exactly what is needed and why it is needed and answer any questions you may have. Always available to answer your questions. Highly recommended.

The whole staff, from the front desk, Kelley, Jenny and the Dr. Hopkins Team has been a true blessing in this process. They go above and beyond for their patients and care about giving the best service/ treatment. I visited two other ortho places before here getting consultation on my daughters treatment plan. Most kids don’t like going to the dentist or ortho etc. as well as even adults. The whole team makes your child and you feel at ease throughout the process. From the Orthodontist to the Financial Coordinator... it was such an easy going and warm interaction! The office is well appointed and clean. Pleasant to know they are also a one stop shop for most of not all your dental needs as the office houses pediatric and adult general dentistry also! Very convenient. Happy we found them!

They take wonderful care of patients and you can't the retro gaming systems they have for the parents, I mean the kids to play while waiting. My daughter will continue to be a patient at this great place.

Experiencia negativa: I am giving this place 2 stars to my surprise since my siblings and I grew up going to this dentist for years and never had issues. But after I discovered that Dr Gomez convinced my mom to get her tooth pulled to avoid a root canal (?) which was extremely painful for my mom, but also terribly wrong medical advice that Dr Gomez gave her. Our new dentist that we love told her that was a very bad decision on the dentist's part to pull my mom's tooth.

Dr. Hopkins is not only very friendly and upbeat, but throughly explained the treatment plan and her recommendations for braces. Jenni was very helpful and great with explaining the insurance and financial side of the treatment plan. My daughter loves this place and can't wait to return!

My son lost his retainers and we came in today to have them make new ones. Being from out of town they are getting the retainer done today for us. They've never been scared and have always taken their visits like big kids which they now are. The staff is friendly and very professional. I've never had a bad experience in the 10 plus years we've been coming. The doctors give detailed explanations of each child visits, nice hygiene goodie bags and the convenience of having both kids seen and finished at the same time is a bonus. I have no complaints I live in NE Cole and still make the trip to come here for them. I've never seen or heard any small child scream or cry because they scared it's quiet and a calm vibe with a small kiddie room for the babies. Palmetto Smiles Rocks!
