Experiencia negativa: If I could give this place a 0 I would. I have asked several times for my clinical notes, X-rays, and the name of the assistant that used the cavitron on me. This is illegal and a violation of dental practice regulations. Despite multiple requests and a prior assurance that this information would be provided by last Friday, I have not yet received it. Withholding these records is a violation of HIPAA regulations. If these records are not provided immediately, I will be forced to pursue formal legal action and file a complaint with the appropriate regulatory boards. I recently started working at dental office so I’m new to this. Even I provide patients with the information they request when they request it. Could they be more obvious in trying to hide things from their patients?! Update: Front desk lady Tasha was extremely rude. She goes “after this, that’s it” she said she emailed my records 2 Fridays ago. Turns out, she had the wrong email. So now my information got sent to someone else. When I finally received my X-rays and clinical notes, it was a summary that wasn’t even accurate to what actually happened. The initials BUA were for the dental assistant that illegally cleaned my teeth. I would not recommend this place at all!! These people are as crooked as they come!

Experiencia negativa: Made an appointment on phone for 1130 on a Tuesday sat in a chair in back for 1.5 hours without being seen. Finally went to front desk to pay for the X-rays and leave, they had dentist come to room in the next couple of minutes. Could not do the extraction I needed because of time restraints, so they rescheduled me for today at 11. Show up and they tell me I don’t have an appointment. They shove as many people in the waiting room they can and don’t have time to take care of people. Highly do not recommend

I got my wisdom teeth removed here, and the longest part of getting them removed was the numbing, which took all of maybe 10 minutes, then they took maybe 15 seconds to pull each tooth, and despite being awake, I felt no pain or nervousness. They did everything quickly and carefully, and really took care of me. Update from 2026, Y'ALL! Y'ALL! Okay, so I have never, NEVER, had fillings done that didn't hurt like, well, my tooth was getting drilled into. Turns out I have the redhead gene, and it means that pain meds work differently for me. I told them this, they not only remembered me from last time, but when I told them it still hurt EVEN AFTER they gave me an extra shot, because it didn't work all the way and I could still feel it, they took me seriously and made sure I wasn't having to do what I did for every appointment everywhere else and just deal with the basic under the assumption that it was normal, and waited for everything to kick in before continuing anything. They listened, made sure I was comfortable, made sure I wasn't in pain, explained what they were doing and where, oh yeah, and the front desk answered my questions about insurance coverage and explained the copays for each item, and asked if I wanted to wait on anything because I mentioned being on a tight budget. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.

Experiencia negativa: 0/10 I GIVE ZERO STARS. I would not recommend Today’s Dental in Lexington. Communication at this office is very poor, both on the phone and at the front desk. I rescheduled my appointment for April 15, 2026, at 1:00 p.m., arrived on time, and was still waiting a hour later with no clear updates. This defeats the purpose of scheduling an appointment. There also never seem to be enough doctors available, which leads to long wait times and ongoing frustration. This office needs significant improvement in communication, staffing, and time management.

I have my third appointment next week and Dr. Gibson and the entire staff is so sweet and professional. Editing to add: I had the same fill in come out twice now. I went back to get it fixed and waited hours without being seen. I had to go back a different day to get it fixed. I’m not sure what’s going on, but I take care of my teeth and this keeps happening. I’m going to have to go to another dentist because I don’t want this to keep happening.

Experiencia negativa: I paid $600 in full for a teeth whitening service weeks ago and only received half of the treatment. I was told the remaining portion would be completed at a later date, and the provider personally scheduled me for a Sunday appointment at 9 AM. I received multiple confirmation emails and text messages, and the lady at the front desk even verbally confirmed the appointment just days prior. When I arrived, the office was completely closed. No call, no message, no notice. I waited for over 30 minutes before realizing I had been completely stood up. To make matters worse, their system still allowed me to reschedule for the following morning. When I showed up again, I was told the person who performs the whitening had an emergency and was not there, and that she would call me. Again, no proactive communication, no apology, no accountability. This entire experience has been incredibly unprofessional and disrespectful of my time and money. There is a clear lack of organization and communication within this office. The white lady at the front desk is slow and is consistently uninformed and unable to properly assist patients or handle basic scheduling issues At this point, I have paid in full for a service that has not been completed, and I have been forced to chase them down just to get basic answers. I will not be returning and would strongly advise others to think twice before booking here.

Experiencia negativa: I took my daughter here not long ago, we waited for about an hour and 30 minutes!! Even when they attended us I’ve never seen such a dirty medical place, how is this even allowed?! Needles out in the open free for anyone to grab. Utensils are completely dirty and even the seats, seriously shut this place down. The receptionists were so rude to my daughter, I don’t speak English well and she always closes out appointments for herself, the lady quiet literally said “okay give me 5 minutes” and went to the back to speak with her friends on the phone! Seriously what kind of service is that?! Completely rude, this black lady with outgrown braids that attended her basically shut her out. Extremely unprofessional, even the same receptionist was talking badly about a couple who had left because they’d ere waiting for just about the same amount of time and when they finally got to them they tell them “you should’ve known we don’t take your insurance here.” The couple were trying to be nice about it, they were trying to be reasonable but the lady was just being rude and cutting them off!! I do not recommend this place to anyone!

Experiencia negativa: Updated Review: My second visit i waited 3 HOURS to be seen past my appointment time. I gave them the benefit of the doubt everyone has a bad day. I came back today for my 3rd visit to replace the crown. There were more patients in the lobby than there are seats available. The poor lady up front is doing her best to do damage control but this is ridiculous. 13 people in the lobby, one receptionist. 8 chairs. Wasn't seen for 1hr 15 minutes. I finally get seated and she tells me immediately 'I know they called you but we don't have your crown'!!! This is the worst, not only dentist, but business I've ever dealt with. I highly suggest finding somewhere else. People have jobs. Be considerate of your patients time. absolutely HATE going to the dentist. However Lauris took care of me and made the experience 100x better. Very pleasant and easy to talk to and my teeth feel like fresh pearls. She yelled at me about my home routine as she should and I promise to do better.

Just got my examination done here and they told me I just needed a couple fillings and we took care of it the same day. I dont have insurance, but they gave me affordable prices. Staff were attentive and friendly. Very happy I came here.

I was rescheduled twice because insurance wouldn’t cover it (why would they reschedule a client two time in a span of 2 months if they knew insurance would not cover?) Don’t do business here and just save yourself time and time off from work. There’s a lot other options out here.

It is encouraging to see a " front desk person" (who I am sure wears many hats) be so friendly!

Experiencia negativa: If I could give no stars I would. The dentist that my son saw today was absolutely awful. I don't know his name, but he was older. And his hands shook very bad. He was very rude and disrespectful!! My son, who is 8 years old, was supposed to have his tooth extracted. When the dentist came in, he was given two shots to be numbed. Not to mention, was a extremely painful for him. We then had to wait an HOUR for the extraction, for him to come back and want to give my son another shot. My son was scared he said to him "If you can't follow my rules, you can leave" Excuse me? And then had the audacity to tell my son he needed to be a man and handle it. The assistant was amazing, and stopped the man and offered he go to pediatrics. I understand this isn't pediatrics, but bed side manners is part of the job. The man shouldn't be working with children at ALL. Worst experience ever. And now, my son is scared of a dentist. Thanks a lot sir. You should be ashamed of yourself!!! The rest of the staff deserves 4 stars.

Experiencia negativa: I scheduled an appointment a week in advance and they called me and needed to cancel it the day before. It seemed very unprofessional and they do not have a proper patient portal or system so I was very confused.

Experiencia fantástica: I didn’t get to meet my new dentist today as she had a family need so Dr Emani saw me. He was short and sweet, didn’t say much to me. The front desk attendant, Fannie, was so sweet and the hygienist that treated me today, Shelly, was top of the line! She took her time, educated me on things no one else has and was gentle! This was my first time here and I have dental anxiety so Shelly calmed my fears and provided A+++ service! Dr Emani pulled me to the side and spent time with me explaining my treatment needs, and took his time, without rushing.

Constantly canceling & rescheduling appointments for both myself & my husband. Finally had to go to a totally new dentist and Todays Dental wouldn't send my xrays after multiple calls from both myself and the new dentist. 3 months later and what was supposed to be an easy extraction how now gotten so infected that I have to wait even longer to get it pulled until I finish an antibiotic. Not to mention the male dentist has absolutely no personality whatso-ever, and you can't understand the receptionist 9/10 & she makes no effort to explain but just rambles on. Absolutely insane.

Experiencia negativa: Went to this office for a bridge 2 years ago. Experience was painful and staff was indifferent to my pain. Went back for exam because bridge didn’t feel right, they said it was fine and everything looked good. Fast forward to now, i regularly brush and floss but the area where the bridge was placed is irritated easily. Went to a different dentist office and found that i have an abscess because the bridge wasn’t seated properly. Hit with an $8,000 bill because i now need treatment- a root canal on an otherwise healthy tooth, and a new bridge. TLDR: Shoddy work. caused more damage. abscessed tooth. Hind-sight is 20/20. Don’t trust them.

They put out a Groupon for Dental Deep Cleans two years ago, the co-owner and dentist was aware of this and honored it during the time of the cleaning, but are now two years later emailing me a bill of $2000 for a visit I already paid for via Groupon and are threatening to send it to collections. I have left four voicemails, emailed the facility with no response, gone in person and was told there was no one available for me to speak to. I am now filing complaints with the BBB, the South Carolina Board of Dentistry, the South Carolina Department of regulation, and the South Carolina Consumer affairs office. I will be contacting my attorney and taking this to small claims court next. DO NOT do business with this unethical facility.

They let me know ahead if my insurance will pay for a procedure or not and different opptions i have to choose from before leaving the room. The staff helps with children and they have things to occupy your kids. I love it here!!

They joke with me & they’re all about business at the same time. The main dentist & dental assistants also do their thing! Super sweet was super delicate with me and my concerns. Tasha has been able to answer all of my questions and when I told her I was so scared she reassured me that it will be worth it. I'm having all of my teeth pulled and getting dentures at the age of 34 and it's honestly overwhelming. If you're questioning calling them, don't. These ladies have me feeling so confident in myself and I haven't even had the procedure done yet!! I will be back to add on once procedure is over! Edit..... I'm having to cancel my appointment Monday because there is absolutely no communication. I've been told I would get a phone call regarding some things 3 times and here we are almost to the day my procedure is and no call. I'm not feeling secure about anything as of right now......

I say that though, because a lot of dental places that take Medicaid are very subpar. This office treats you like a person. The only difference is oftentimes their tech is a student. Experiencia negativa: After texting me 15 times to make sure I had fill out my paperwork and would have my child there on time. We showed up 15 minutes early waited 30 minutes after the appointment time just for them to take back somebody who called on the way and showed up to through a fit. It was our first appointment... we walked out and won't be coming back

Experiencia negativa: This is what I've been living off the last couple of days I've been an excruciating pain I got worked on Wednesday which was they drill out the remainder of a bunch of broken teeth in several positions in my head they gave me numerous amount of Novocaine shots I lost count after 20 then proceeded to drill out all the broken pieces and use the pliers to remove I couldn't really close my mouth my teeth don't fit together properly the stitches they put in came out and my teeth proceeded to bleed all over my shirt there's no packing put in my mouth so I didn't get any pain medicine whatsoever and I had to call them 20 times to get them to send my antibiotic to the drugstore when I finally got the prescription for the pain medicine they said it'll be ready in a week/next Tuesday. And it's only for one day.
