Experiencia fantástica: We had such a good experience at Dove Dentistry! My 11 year old, anxious son who had a precious bad experience at a different dentist was having a hard time with getting 3 sealants and a cavity filled on our first visit to Dove Dentistry. Our hygienist, Miki and Dr. Hsu handled the situation perfectly. He went from being very upset and panicking to under control and relaxed. They were patient and left and came back multiple times with different strategies to help him calm down and feel comfortable. In the car he said he wanted to go back to that dentist and was finally not scared of cavities anymore. Def grateful for the experience and recommend!

Everyone actually cares, remembers the small details that you may consider small talk, and provide excellent care as well. Dr. Yew is conversational and realistic with both his praise and concerns medically. It feels less like talking to someone spewing medical jargon to a file on a clipboard and more like a concerned family member who really wants the best for you. Can't recommend him enough! Edit: been coming here for years and brought along my family including the kiddos. Doc + the whole staff continue to be phenomenal!

Experiencia fantástica: I've been going here for a little over a year now and I couldn't be happier. I get my cleaning done here regularly. Carrie at the front desk, Dr Hsu and Dr Yew, the rest of the staff, they are ALL absolutely fantastic! So helpful, knowledgeable, and just awesome people. Just today, I called the office after enduring some pain for days for what felt like a gum issue. I didn't have an appointment but Carrie made sure I was seen as soon as possible that same day. Dr. Yew saw me, and as always he was thorough and transparent with his assessment and recommendation. Never pushy and always takes time to answer any of my questions or concerns. I ended up needing a wisdom tooth extraction. Honestly, I was still traumatized from the last extraction I had from another dentist a decade ago—it was long and painful to say the least. So, I was hesitant. Dr. Yew assured me and walked me through his process. I'm not kidding when I say this... LITERALLY within two minutes of deciding to go through the procedure, the extraction was done! I can't speak highly enough of Dr. Yew and Dr. Hsu and their team. The warm and welcoming atmosphere there is unlike any clinic I've been to. Can't recommend them enough!

Experiencia fantástica: Back in 2018, I had a tooth extracted and started the process of getting an implant in Austin, TX. Unfortunately, that implant ended up being placed too deep and slightly crooked. After moving to Dallas, I went to a different dentist who tried to remove the implant screw. It was such a painful and traumatizing experience that it left me scared to go back to any dentist for years. Fast forward to now, a coworker recommended Dr. Yew at Dove Dentistry in Allen, and I decided to give it a try. I can honestly say it’s one of the best dental experiences I’ve ever had. Dr. Yew is incredibly thorough, gentle, and explains every step clearly. He’s not vague, doesn’t rush, and never makes you feel uncomfortable. Instead, he shows visuals, answers all your questions, and makes sure you understand what’s happening. He even managed to fix what other dentists had tried and failed to do before. While my implant isn’t “perfect,” it’s perfect by the standards of how it should have been done in the first place. I also have another implant that needs to be done from start to finish, and I can’t wait for Dr. Yew to handle it. I came here for a second opinion and his treatment plan was so much more conservative than Monarch Dental, where they seemed to just want to put a crown on every little thing. Twice a year my whole life I reluctantly drag myself to a place where they pretend to remember me and I walk out with a bloody mouth . NOT HERE. I just left my 3rd appointment... Not only is this the kindest staff, but Dr. Yew goes out of his way to create a wonderful atmosphere and make a personal connection — while still giving the straight truth because it's what's best for his patients (I hate telling him I still don't floss ). THEN after my cleaning, he literally offered to do an unscheduled extra quick procedure at NO COST just because. Like I said, I'll never go anywhere else.

They really go out if their way to accommodate your needs. Dr. Yew’s bedside manner and genuine concern for his patients is unequaled. His analogies were easy to follow and he dove into great detail when I asked him follow up questions, all while being honest and kind. It felt like I was in a medical lecture, but in the best way! I am so glad my friend referred us to him! It's hard to find trustworthy dentists nowadays, Dr. Yew is one of them.

Experiencia negativa: Like their staffs but I doubt their billing system. My girls got their preventive dental care and one of them pulled two of her baby teeth and all of them should be covered except the vitamin. They sent me the bill and said my insurance company didn't cover one of their preventive exam and the other girl's x-rays. How can this make sense? When I checked the insurance, the statement stated the insurance covered everything and I only owe $27. This is not the first time they do this. Previously they didn't send me a bill and charged me after 4 months and Carrie, their billing staff and receptionist, even stated my insurance only cover half of the cost. When I got the details from my insurance, the insurance covered the whole and I don't owe anything.. When I visited the next time, I asked and she explained since it was the first time, I didn't argue any further but if the same mistake continues, that's who you are. My husband send me his statements from his dentist and it was a lot lower and he stated he is not getting any of surprise bills later on... Dove Dentistry has nice working nurses but their billing system is very fishy. Their explanation doesn't make sense. My two daughters got the same service. One is not covered and the other got covered for the same service under family plan?? I can't trust them any more...

Experiencia negativa: I had a very bad experience here. First time we met the Dr he asked us to meet an endodonntist. In the next appointment, I told him unfortunately I had not got a chance to meet an endodontist. He raised his voice and said “Next time I won’t even talk to u…”. I am overall a calm person but he kept talking in a very bad manner that everyone there was shocked. I just left the office but have never got so offended and humiliated. Such a rude dr. Unbelievable:(

He has a beautiful office, friendly staff, and the cleanings are always quick and painless. A couple of things really stand out to me regarding Dr Yew. 1) - no matter how busy the office is, he always finds time to check in, ask about the family, my interests, etc. Dr Yew is a genuinely good man. 2) - I sincerely appreciate how candid he is about the work that should, or should not be performed. I have never felt that he's recommended any work be done without a thorough explanation of why now or why later. I've had many dentist over the years. He responded quickly to my call to schedule an extraction and made sure I was informed about the procedure. I was surprised when the extraction was painless during and even after. I also had to get an implant done and everyone there made sure I was comfortable. It’s been a painless and enjoyable process. Dr. Yew and his staff go above and beyond to show that they really care about their patients!

Experiencia fantástica: I've been really hesitant to get my teeth cleaned these past few months because of COVID-19. But Dr. Yew told me about the safety measures he was taking to make sure his patients were safe, which convinced me to come in. And I have to say: I truly did feel really safe at my recent cleaning. They took my temperature immediately as I arrived, and I never came into contact with another patient. Dr. Yew also showed me the HoCl fogger they use to decontaminate the area after each patient. I can confidently say that Dr. Yew and Dove are definitely taking the pandemic seriously and making sure their patients are not at any risk of catching COVID-19.

Carrie made sure to get me in as soon as she could. Dr Yew explained everything in detail (because I like that). My whole family will be going here from now on.

Experiencia negativa: Dr. Yew's work is immaculate. Having him as a dentist I was confident that his work would always be excellent- and it always has been without fail. However, unfortunately while this is true, I can not say that his office is very organized nor transparent. He seems to always be unaware of what is going on with his front desk and in the past the lack of communication between Dr. Yew and his front desk personnel has caused problems for me. Upon my last visit with Dove, there was a misunderstanding (which stemmed from this lack of communication) upon which Dr. Yew was extremely rude to me and was just shy of yelling at me upon me inquiring about my source of confusion. To the point where those who witnessed how he had talked to me (his front desk receptionist and dental assistant) even said "I'm sorry he's just really really stressed today", if two other people felt the need to apologize on his behalf for how he spoke to me, there's an issue. Dr. Yew actually did me a favor by going out of his way to squeeze me in on a busy day, however in no way do I think that justifies the way that he spoke to me. I didn't want to say anything back in the moment because it was very apparent that he was aggravated and he was busy. In addition to this, I did not want to anger or him or cause him any stress as he was about to work on me. I have never been spoken to so rudely by a healthcare provider in my life. I really struggled with the decision to write this review as Dr. Yew's quality of work is pristine but how I was spoken to was not okay at all. I really respect Dr. Yew's quality of work but I don't care how good someone's work is- it does not justify being talked down to in the manner in which I was spoken to that day, he spoke to me with immense aggression and quite honestly it felt rather degrading.

It had been approximately 15 years since I last saw a dentist and my teeth really showed it. During my first consultation visit, Dr. Yew spent a surprisingly long amount of time going over every detail of the treatment that I would require. I was then provided with a comprehensive breakdown of costs. What a great impression that first appointment made! I was instantly struck by Dr. Yew's honesty and demeanor. I was confident in the level of care that I would be receiving and excited to handle all of my various dental issues. I returned at the start of this new year and am currently in the midst of treatment. Dr. Yew is extremely knowledgeable and highly skilled. Everytime I leave their office I feel better and better about my smile!

Experiencia fantástica: FOCUS on Customer Experience & Health!! ** - This was an amazing experience! Each team member did a great job, the facility was top notch, as it was clean and looked fabulous. They all provided great care through out, I had no pain at all with my cleaning, and the dentist didn't even suggest to take out my wisdom teeth like others have pushed for the past (a huge plus for me). His also did an extra scan, precautionary measures, with great explanations after. No to mention they have perks like Netflix, warm water, should you have sensitive teeth, and other services if you need them. A++

It was actually my husband's appointment time to get his cleaning, but since there was a cancellation, they were able to get me in. It was so convenient, pleasant, and painless. The entire staff was genuinely friendly and caring. They provided us with education on how to care for ourselves and our dental care. They also had a lot of jokes (and magic!) which made the entire experience even better. It's also a very beautiful and clean facility. A little neat bonus is that all the water they used is filtered

Maritza is an amazing assistant and Dr. Yew is simply the best dentist around! They make you feel at home and at ease, and they even ask about my family each time I visit. Plus, their dentistry skills are top notch. I chipped my front big tooth over the weekend, called the office Monday morning, and they fit me in for an appointment same day.
