Experiencia negativa: After x-ray they will not give me a copy of what I paid for, after filling of 2 tooth, I am in serious pain from cold or hot drinks or food. I refused to return to trust any care and I was scheduled an appointment without my knowledge in effort to charge me $25 if I don’t show up so I honor showing up and they refused to do my 2nd tooth cleaning saying I was late showing up even though I was admitted and I decided to leave upon my exit I was cursed out and they revealed how unprofessional they are as well as their intention to bill unnecessary to stay in business. Close whatever account you have for me and stop making appointment I didn’t ask for.

Every dental office I’ve been to before (4 others) always had some issue with billing…if you live in GA, I am sure you have experienced this. But NOT HERE! I’ve never had a single issue and that adds to the extreme satisfaction I have with this team! If you are reading this review, most likely you are looking for a new dentist and this office should be the top of your consideration list. I drive from Chamblee—that should tell you a lot!

Experiencia negativa: I made an appointment here back in December to get my wisdom teeth taken out because they were extremely painful and necessary. I have been trying to get this place out of my mind since then. I was told I could get them taken out the next day, but for 2,000 dollars. They told me it would be 500 per tooth extracted because they use a "special" medication, which my insurance would not cover. They could not even tell me what the medication was, after I asked about it. My insurance would not cover it because this place makes a billing code of their own, because it is "their fee". Their scam fee. This place only cares about money, not the patients. I would steer far away from this place, unless you want to get scammed. I got my teeth taken out elsewhere, where they dont charge you 2k out of pocket.

Experiencia negativa: I would not recommend Georgia Smiles to anyone. My experience, along with my mom’s and brother’s recent negative experiences as patients here, has been extremely disappointing. I had dental work done in August and never continued my treatment plan because the tooth became extremely sensitive and my bite felt off for months afterward. That alone made me hesitant to return. Today completely sealed the deal. When I arrived, I was charged $75 by the front desk with zero explanation of what the charge was for. I assumed it was my copay, since I was previously quoted $67 plus tax. After my cleaning, I go to check out and another employee tries to charge me again for the copay. When I questioned it, I was told the $75 was supposedly a cancellation fee from July, which makes absolutely no sense. I was literally seen in August, so why wasn’t that fee collected then? And if it truly wasn’t collected, why wasn’t it clearly explained today before swiping my card? This office seems more focused on taking money than being transparent with patients. No one should be charged without being told exactly what they’re paying for. The cleaning itself was terrible. I honestly could have done a better job at home. The hygienist seemed to be just “working and playing” in my mouth—water splashing all over my face, tools dropping out of my mouth, and very rough technique overall. I have a permanent retainer, and she didn’t even use a threader to floss properly. Instead, she used regular floss, which got stuck multiple times. The last time was so bad she had to stand up and force it out. That was uncomfortable and unacceptable. I understand people are new and need experience, but if that’s the case, there should be a seasoned hygienist or assistant supervising and guiding them. Patients shouldn’t suffer because of poor training. Needless to say, I will not be returning for further treatment and will be transferring my care elsewhere. This office is disorganized, money-hungry, and lacks basic professionalism.

Experiencia negativa: Beware. My wife made an appointment because she was in pain and our normal dentist was booked up this week. They could remove her wisdom teeth that were causing her the pain but we noticed a HUGE billing issue. There were 2 insurance codes on the estimate. 1 was the covered tooth extraction. The 2nd was a completely made up code by the dental office. The actual extraction was covered down to 176$ after insurance. Their made up 2nd charge was 538$ per tooth so out of pocket would’ve been well over 2,000$. I disputed this with them and they say it’s a medication not covered by insurance. Called insurance and the code doesn’t exist. When confronted with this they said it is their charge and to get service there we would need to pay it. RED FLAG 1 LIED ABOUT A MEDICATION TO JUSTIFY A POINTLESS FEE. HUGE RED FLAG THEY PUT MONEY BEFORE PATIENTS IN PAIN. Our insurance covered it and we would have paid our 176$. We will not however be price gouged. No excuses for treating patients like this and a complaint has been filed with the Georgia board of Dentistry.

I left this practice with teeth that were not cleaned properly and when I complained, I was told I had the problem. I experienced no remorse or willingness to resolve the issue, which would have been proper patient care. I asked them to forward my x-rays to another dental office; a simple request that other dental offices comply with, but they would not. They asked me to pay for copies instead, not caring whether I could afford it or not; they really did not want me to get a second opinion. I feel as if I have been ripped off and have received services that I did not need and may even be harmful to me in the future. My Papa's and my insurance company have told us it would be best to never go back to them because they try to charge for services when they should not.

Experiencia negativa: Really doesn't deserve one star. If you want to be cheated out of your money Georgia smiles is the place to go. I have a zero copay insurance policy but I was text the day prior I had to pay over $500 out of my pocket for so called medication for an extraction. I immediately called to ask why since I had a zero copay. They told me I needed to take it up with my insurance and they could not tell me what medication it was, only to find out later it was for anesthesia. So I did call my insurance and had a three way call with them where the insurance company said that they would pay for the medication. I was not offered any other type of medications such has nitrous or novacaine to lower the cost. Well in turn Georgia smiles decided that I needed to see a specialist since they did not want to use my insurance. So they would take my money to have the procedure done but would not take my insurance money and I would have to go somewhere else? Eventually I went back to their office just to speak directly to the dentist and ask her if she knew of what was going on at her office. She did not want to hear my concerns or had the time for me and directed me back to her staff. I have never written a review of any kind to anyone over anything but really felt the need to this time. I really feel ripped off and the staff could care less about me. I didn't agree to your fees because there shouldn't have been any fees. Insurance would have paid for all of it. But you didn't want to go through my insurance. Zero copay means zero cost. You are right I did not get ripped off because I wouldn't let you rip me off. If you had your way you would have ripped me off. Your remarks just go to show how much you could care less about my concerns.

Experiencia negativa: I’m beyond disappointed with GA Smiles and their complete disregard for patient care. I recently experienced a cracked tooth with an exposed nerve, causing severe pain (level 7 out of 10). While out of state on a work trip, I found a local dentist willing to treat me within 24 hours—but GA Smiles refused to release my X-rays for seven days despite acknowledging that this was a dental emergency. I challenged this ridiculous delay, asking why I had to wait an entire week for my own medical records when all they needed to do was download a simple PDF and image file. There are no financial holds on my account, and legally, they are required to release records in a timely manner. Instead of providing a clear, professional explanation, the staff member I spoke to became agitated and unable to articulate any valid reason for this policy. At this point, it feels like they are deliberately making it difficult to get treatment elsewhere, essentially trying to force me to stay a patient rather than prioritizing my health. Policies and procedures should protect patients, not hold them hostage in pain. This is not just unprofessional—it’s inhumane and possibly unlawful. If you value your right to timely care and access to your own medical records, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. I will be filing a formal complaint with the Georgia dental board and Department of Health because no patient should have to suffer through unnecessary pain due to a dentist’s refusal to do the bare minimum.

Experiencia negativa: They are good till, they are sucking money from you, if you refuse to do deep cleaning or extra X-rays where they give you bill of over $700-$800, even though you insurance saying you have to pay only $150-$200 for deep cleaning, they discharge you if you say just do the cleaning and regular X-ray which is covered.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr.Taher is such an amazing dentist! Very caring, helpful, great advisor and truly more than a dentist. Me and my family have been visiting her for over 10+ years and even with moving we make sure that we don’t change our dentist. The staff is also amazing, friendly, helpful. Highly recommend.

Experiencia fantástica: First visit,Dr.Wong is incredible very polite but the best part was him showing me the xrays,explaining what was going on and what I needed to fix it,his assistant Mirna also nice polite,very gentle, even the receptionist was nice,looking forward to having my mouth fixed as soon as possible

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Wong's hands are blessed. I was terrified of the thought of getting a root canal, but he walked me through the process and was very explanatory. He patiently answered my thousand questions and was just a delight. Even the shots I had to get were no where near as horrible as my last dentist, I am all the way confident for subsequent visits. And the ladies at the front office were all gems; Jovina got me in same-day as an emergency visit because I ate the wrong thing and cracked my tooth, ending up in excruciating pain. Just got done and I am 100% better. Phenomenal group of professionals and I highly recommend this dental office.

Experiencia fantástica: You know how people normally make a face when they say they need to go to the dentist? I do not! I have been coming to Georgia Smiles for 4 years and I have had multiple cleanings and a pesky filling and crown (which was a challenge) and I have always felt cared for and safe in their hands. Dr. Taher is kind and reminds you to brush and floss without making you feel bad for not flossing (me). I highly recommend if you are looking for a dentist. The entire staff are wonderful!
