Experiencia fantástica: I had a great experience at my first visit! From the moment I walked in, everyone was so kind, welcoming, and professional. The staff was incredibly patient and attentive throughout the entire visit. During my X-rays and dental photos, they guided me through each step, letting me know exactly what they were going to do next and checking in with me along the way to make sure I was comfortable and doing okay. I’m usually very anxious and nervous about going to the dentist, but they made me feel comfortable and never rushed me. The doctor was also very thorough and took the time to explain everything clearly, including what needed to be prioritized first and the next steps for my treatment. Even though I haven’t had any treatment done yet, my first impression was excellent. I’m definitely looking forward to continuing my treatment here. Highly recommend!

Experiencia fantástica: This was my initial visit to Dulles Life Smiles and I will say it’s the best dental appointment I’ve had in my 57 years. I was able to share with Dr. Gino my horrible experience with a dental appointment 10 years ago in Richmond VA and why I’ve since avoided going to the dentist. This one visit alone has changed my entire outlook on going to the dentist. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. During my initial visit Dr. Gino reviewed my X-rays and gave a thorough education about future treatment. In addition, I found the visual tour of the mouth very helpful as he explained step by step, with real time photos and X-ray images where I was with my dental health and what his initial treatment plan would be. I left my first appointment feeling very informed and that Dulles Life Smiles cared about me not only as a patient, but as a person. I felt immediately connected to the treatment team. I look forward to my second visit. I highly recommend them!

I think they are used to people that are afraid of the dentist because of how kind and the explanations they gave me. That said, I'm glad my old dentist went out of network so I could find this practice. This is now my dentist for life (or as long as I live in the area). Dr Gino, Amy, Anna, Shirley, and Bianka were all incredible and I cannot give them enough compliments or praise for their work today. Amy, especially was fantastic and was so gentle.

Experiencia negativa: I went to Dulles Life Smiles a few years ago for a tooth pain. It ultimately led to needing a root canal where he determined that the tooth next to it also needed a root canal. I continued to have issues with the root canals after the appointments - pain and a jaw that had shifted from being open for too long during the procedure. I stopped going to this dentist and went to a different one that referred me to an endodontist. He determined that one of the root canals was still heavily infected and needed to be redone. I had the procedure and it was found that my tooth had a third root that Dulles Life Smiles did not find and he did not fully extract the infection which led to it needing antibiotics inside the tooth for a few weeks. Fast forward to this year, I am having issues with the second root canal and it will need to be redone because the root canal was not done properly and the infection is still present. I am disappointed in not only myself for trusting that the dentist could do the work but that he would offer root canals when it should be referred to an endodontist. I have had to spend thousands of dollars in appointments over the past 3/4 years to include CT scans, orofacial surgeons for my jaw shift, and more. I HIGHLY would not recommend this dentist.

Experiencia negativa: Absolutely awful customer service. I provided my insurance information the same day I made the appointment, yet when I arrived, they made me wait over an hour just to “verify” the insurance. This should have been handled in advance, not at the time of my appointment. My time is valuable, and this level of disorganization is unacceptable. I ended up leaving without being seen. Very disappointing experience.

Experiencia fantástica: I really enjoy going here. Dr. Gino is genuinely a great Dr in my opinion. He tells you everything you need to get your teeth in optimal health and I personally really appreciate that. Most dentists just do your normal cleaning and only address something larger once it’s a problem, but Dr. Gino actually takes the time to explain things to you and you get a lot of time with him. For the root canal and some other things like a night guard I decided To go forward with, they gave me insurance estimates so I could see how much I would need to pay out of pocket. The staff are also wonderful and every single one has been so kind and I’ve never felt judged, only very welcomed. I highly recommend!

Experiencia negativa: I visited that office only once and never went back. The doctor acted more like a salesperson, pushing overpriced dental products at triple the normal cost. I felt pressured to purchase them and later realized how badly I had been tricked. During my cleaning, I specifically asked them to only provide services covered by insurance, and they assured me there would be no out-of-pocket costs. Now, three years later, they’ve sent me to collections. It doesn’t make any sense, this feels like nothing but stealing from people.

My first appt, was a 1-hr consultation: they did bitewings and photos. That consult, determined the work and cleaning I needed. His staff is prompt, polite, attentive and professional. I felt I was in great hands the entire time during my visits. The service they provided was excellent. They did a great job keeping me informed every step of the way and took their time explaining things in detail. I will keep coming back twice a year. I recommend this dental practice to everyone in the Ashburn area!

Because the team is small, you can build a 1:1 connection with each member of the team, and they do their best to keep the patient with the same dentist/dental hygienist consistently. If you are looking for a new place to call your dentist, this is certainly the place!

That’s hard to come by these days. One recent interaction really stands out for me. I broke a bracket in my braces and had wire exposed. When I checked the time, it was a little past after hours but I decided to call anyway. As expected it went to voicemail. But shortly after, I received a call from Dr. Gino and he was able to fit me in to fix it for me. I already had high respect for him and this kicked it up notches. Experiencia negativa: Steer clear of Dulles Life Smiles. As newcomers to the area, my family and I decided to schedule a routine cleaning visit. We diligently completed all the required new patient paperwork and patiently awaited our appointment, which was about three weeks away. Throughout this period, we received the standard appointment reminder texts and a voice message, all seemingly routine. However, upon arriving for the scheduled cleaning visit, we were unexpectedly informed that we would be charged in advance for both the appointment and x-rays. The reason provided was the office's inability to find the time to contact my insurance company. This crucial piece of information was neither communicated beforehand nor mentioned in the voice message. The lack of transparency left me puzzled and frustrated. Contacting one's insurance company typically doesn't require an extended timeframe, as I have experienced in the past. Given that I've had dental appointments twice a year throughout my entire life, this was an unprecedented situation for me. While it's conceivable that the dentist is excellent, the questionable communication and handling of the administrative process have left an unfavorable first impression. Whether due to unforeseen circumstances or a lapse in communication protocol, first impressions matter, especially in healthcare services. In light of this experience, my family has decided to seek dental care elsewhere, prioritizing a provider with clear communication practices and a more streamlined administrative process. In update to the business reply, the insurance card details were furnished during the call when scheduling the cleaning appointments three weeks ago. This included the specific number for dental providers to liaise with the insurance company. If they fail to sufficiently prepare for a new patient's appointment, what other areas might they compromise or neglect in their treatment of patients? Beware.

I've tried 2 other locations in the area, but didn't feel they were positive experiences. After visiting and working with the team (specifically Bianca and Amy), I left feeling good about my visit. The small touches most businesses overlook or do not spend time on spoke volumes about the type of environment they are trying to create, all the way down to having my personalized name on a tv in my area. Dr. Gino was also very receptive to my comments, treated me with a unique approach based on my treatment plan and examination, and even completed some additional treatments I needed same day. I would definitely recommend to other looking for a dental experience focused on you.

I would highly recommend to any parents of ASD kids. My 21 month old had her first appt this past Friday and it was an incredible experience. My child is very spirited and busy, she likes to run, play, and is generally very friendly and curious. The whole staff was SO kind to us! They were understanding of her curiosity and allowed her to explore with my supervision and were very supportive to me as well (as i apologized repeatedly LOL). Dr Gino took a look at her teeth and kept his calm as she cried— this was simply the result of her not wanting to let anyone in her mouth— and then gave her a prize at the end. Lys at the front desk was so helpful and kind to us as well. She made us feel very welcome. We look forward to a long relationship with this practice.
