Many of the treatments I had tried elsewhere actually made my symptoms worse and left me in more pain than before. The team at Diamond Dental took the time to listen to my concerns and look at my situation from a different perspective. Rather than pushing the same solutions I had already tried, or pushing surgery which I was clear I was not interested in, they worked with me to find an approach that made sense for my specific needs. They recommended Botox treatment for my TMJ, and it has been life-changing. I have been receiving injections for several months now, and the results have been incredible. For the first time in years, I am completely out of pain. The improvement in my quality of life has been beyond what I thought was possible given my jaw abnormalities. Experiencia fantástica: I cannot express enough gratitude for Kayla, and Tom, Dr. Lombardo. My 9-year-old son fell and broke two adult teeth, exposing the nerves. After a nightmare of being turned away by specialists and told by a major hospital they couldn't help, I was feeling completely defeated. As a last resort, I walked into Diamond Dental Service—a place I had never stepped foot in before. I was a total stranger off the street, but they treated me like their most important patient. While I told my story, Kayla and Tom jumped into action. Dr. Lombardo literally stopped what she was doing and used her personal cell phone to call a specialist she knew could help. Kayla handled all our insurance and paperwork on the spot and sent it ahead so we could be seen immediately. Because of their compassion, character, and professional network, my son was able to get two partial root canals that same afternoon.  The doc they sent us to, Dr. Wong at Renovo in Elgin, was soooooo good with our son that he didn't even need to sedate him.  We were in and out of there in under an hour.  The very next day, Dr. Lombardo performed the restorative work, and his teeth look absolutely perfect. This level of compassion and "above and beyond" service is unheard of. They didn't just fix a dental issue; they earned a patient for life. Experiencia fantástica: I recently went to diamond dental after my jaw swelled up. With extremely short notice, I was able to see Dr Lombardo. Seeing as I haven't been to the dentist in a very long time, I was nervous, but she and her staff did an exceptional job, both with the procedure and hospitality. Didi in particular was very gracious, reassuring and knowledgeable. The office is clean and welcoming, and runs like a Swiss watch. If you make an appointment, show up on time because they are ready when they say they will be! I would recommend everyone this dentist, even if you're a scaredy-cat like me!

Doctor Lombardo and her team are simply the best! 5/15/2025 - A routine cleaning with Dr. Lombardo revealed a few small cavities to fill. As always, it ended up being a painless procedure. I can't say enough about the great team they have here though I lost my favorite hygienist, Anabel, who has different hours now and I'm pretty sure she's completely booked. 5/8/2024 - Just a cleaning today with Anabel and as always my visit was fantastic. Total painless and incredibly thorough. My teeth feel like a million bucks!! 1/16/2023 - Another 5 STAR visit to Diamond Dental today. Simply stated, if you are in the market for a new dentist, give Dr. Lombardo and her team a try. Your search for a dentist will come to an end. They are the absolute best!! 9/15/2023 - Back for another super smooth, painless, thorough cleaning from Anabel today! I know it's the same old story but If you're not going to Diamond Dental, you're missing something. Dr. Lombardo gave me a thumbs up as well so I'm good to go until January! 5/10/2023 - Went in to see Anabel for a cleaning today. Simple, pain free, thorough, awesome... just like always. Experiencia negativa: I visited Diamond Dental between September 2022 and 2023, where I received approximately six dental fillings performed by Dr. Alma Lombardo. At the time, I trusted the provider and followed all recommendations. My insurance covered the procedures, and I paid all required copays. Persistent pressure for additional services: Throughout my visits, I felt repeatedly pressured into unnecessary or excessive treatments, including back-to-back cleanings, deep cleanings, a night guard, and being encouraged to buy veneers. This created significant discomfort and gave the impression that financial gain was prioritized over patient care. Complete failure of all fillings: Every single filling performed by Dr. Lombardo has failed--all within less than two years. Dental fillings are generally expected to last 5-15 years, making this outcome extremely concerning. Tooth fracture after treatment: In 2023, one tooth fractured after a filling was completed. Although Dr. Lombardo repaired it, this incident raised serious concerns about the quality of the work. I decided not to return. Independent evaluations confirmed poor work: In 2024, after switching to a new dental provider, X-rays revealed two fractured teeth, the very teeth Dr. Lombardo worked on. To ensure accuracy, I sought opinions from two dentists in 2024 and 2025. Both confirmed that several fillings were poorly done, failed prematurely, and directly contributed to fractures and further damage. I was informed that multiple crowns are now required as a result. The teeth impacted were the very ones worked by Dr. Lombardo. Dismissive response and lack of accountability: In 2025, I called and emailed Dr. Lombardo again to discuss these findings. She requested communication by email, which I provided along with documentation from another dental office. My concerns were entirely dismissed. I was told the work was done well, and that I should "appreciate." There was no explanation, acknowledgment, or accountability. Inappropriate response regarding refund: When I asked about a refund, I was laughed at and told that my insurance paid for the work, as if that removed responsibility. I pay for that insurance myself, and I am the one left with the long-term damage and cost. Insurance money is not free money. I did see online feedback indicating that the doctor's responses to patient concerns lacked any apology or accountability. Instead, her replies appeared to dismiss honest feedback she may not have liked and attempted to dismiss patient voices, which reflects poorly on the standard of patient care. Patients should never be pressured, dismissed, or made to feel responsible for failed medical or dental work. A patient's lack of technical knowledge should never be exploited. If a dentist is not confident performing a procedure, they should refer to a specialist. I was treated poorly by Dr. Alma Lombardo, with no accountability or solutions. I was naïve to trust that the outcome would not be failed dental fillings. Now I am left dealing with the consequences. As patients, we place immense trust in healthcare providers. Teeth cannot be replaced once damaged, and the consequences of poor dental work are long-term, painful, and extremely costly. Proceed with caution since your dental health is just as important as your physical health. Improper care results in thousands more out of pocket expenses. Attached one of the x-rays of the tooth. I also have all x-rays from 2021-2025. Patients put full faith of their care on Doctors as they're the experts. Lesson learned. Be careful and be informed before you choose your provider. One of the reviews on google says office runs raffles for iPad, TV, etc. But in order to enter the raffle, you have to write a good reviews. I did see this because when I was at office, I did see those raffle advertisements to write them a review. Note: After seeing this review, she may provide same generic response she has to all other negative reviews for Diamond Dental to try to dismiss this. However, I've all supporting documents.

In other dental offices, certain procedures—like root canals or surgical work—are usually referred to specialists, but that did not happen here. Appointments were often scheduled with multiple procedures at once, sometimes without enough explanation or time to consider alternatives. I also felt pressured to proceed with cleanings and other services I didn’t feel were necessary. I noticed repeated insurance billing for X-rays and was asked for credit card information early on. Clarifications I requested were unclear. Based on my research, the provider does not appear to be board certified, which is something patients should verify independently. Overall, my experience gave the impression that the focus was more on performing and billing for procedures rather than prioritizing patient care. I strongly encourage patients—especially parents—to ask detailed questions, review treatment plans carefully, and make sure they feel confident with their dentist. Save your and your family’s dental health—consider a second opinion before proceeding here.

She explained every step she was doing with me, constantly checked in on me during the cleaning, and was just overall so sweet and nice even when I had a mild panic attack during my cleaning and calmed me down. She greeted me warmly when I came in for my appointment. Then Annabelle the hygienist greeted me and gave me a tour of the office. Annabelles x-rays and cleaning were very thorough and comfortable. Finally, Dr. Lombardo introduced herself and checked my teeth. Everyone was friendly and professional. As a dentist myself, I was highly impressed with the office and all the personnel. Experiencia fantástica: Today was my initial visit to Diamond dental Service. I was greeted warmly when I arrived by Jessica and Kyle and was offered coffee or water while I waited. Hygenist Anabel was great. First she offered a tour of the office, which is extremely clean, organized and seems to have all the modern equipment necessary to insure any diagnostics can be done in office. She then thoroughly explained what would happen during the visit. Anabel was very professional, making sure I understood everything and answering all of my questions. She was pleasant and also very gentle doing the actual cleaning procedure. Dr Lombardo was very nice and she did an excellent job explaining what future treatments would be needed. Jessica followed up after the office visit to let me know a prescription was called in to a local pharmacy. Based upon my first visit, I would highly recommend Diamond Dental Service. UPDATE: November 17, 2022 Returned today for a cleaning. As usual everyone in the office was very friendly and efficient. Anabel again handled the cleaning procedure and was exceptional. She is always very pleasant, gentle while doing the cleaning and she even laughs at my dumb jokes. : ) After visiting Diamond Dental Service on multiple occasions, I would highly recommend them for all your dental care needs. UPDATE: April 17 2024 Went in today for my regular cleaning. Everything is still great and I would highly recommend Diamond Dental. They are truly a GEM. (Pun fully intended). :)

Experiencia fantástica: I love Dr Lombardo and her staff. They care about thier patients and see you whenever you need them....they are the best in my books and I have had lots of work done by them. Insurance wise, you can count on Diamond Dental personnel to let you know what your insurance pays for and what you will have out-of- pocket to pay, so it's never a surprise. They explain everything to you and I am very happy I found them. Best dentist I ever had and I have had a few through the years. Try them out for yourself and see if you don't agree with me.

Experiencia fantástica: As a result of my daughter's recommendation, I have been a patient with Dr. Lombardo and Diamond Dental for about a year now. I am very impressed with her entire staff! They are highly professional, very skilled and genuinely personable. The positive energy and patient interactions in her practice are excellent. In addition I have bounced around from dentist to dentist for a number of years. Last spring, I had some long standing issues with a poorly constructed bridge and resulting complications with damage to my lower teeth. Dr. Lombardo did a thorough assessment and carefully explained that with braces and careful removal and replacement of the old bridge, I would be on my way to a vastly improved smile and a healthier set of choppers. I AM VERY HAPPY THAT I FOUND DR. LOMBARDO AND THE DIAMOND DENTAL STAFF!

They not only pushed me to buy a bunch of stuff on my first visit, but the front tooth filling I had done was so thin that it broke less than a week after getting it filled. In addition, the cavities I had filled remained sore and sensitive for over a year afterward. Do not go here.
