Experiencia fantástica: *Update March 2026* Dr Sam and her staff are so great with both of our boys. A Disney movie/show playing both in the waiting room and above each exam chair, pretty sure my kids forgot they were even at the dentist. 5 Star visit. My almost 2 year old had an accident while playing and lost a front tooth, chipped another and suffered trauma to his gums and lips. It is difficult to do the things needed for a child in this situation, luckily the staff here were WONDERFUL with my son from the moment he walked into the office. There were stuffed animals provided to him for comfort, everyone complimented his dinosaur shirt which always makes him happy and they handled our little guy with such gentle care. I will recommend this dentistry practice to all of our friends in the area with children and tell them our great experience. From the bottom of our hearts, my wife and I are so thankful.

Experiencia fantástica: Due to an insurance change, we had to switch dentist offices and I had two friends highly recommend this practice! We had our first appointment at Children’s Dentistry Group of Lake Zurich today and had a wonderful experience with Dr. G and the team there! Kind, friendly, and patient with little patients. My son especially appreciated the tv playing Mickey Mouse on the ceiling, prize coin crank machine, and the giraffe shaped floss pick that “went for a walk” to count his teeth. Very thoughtful ways to make the dentist office a kid-friendly experience!

I appreciate the fact that they kept our children entertained from start to finish and do not rush the appointment. One of my boys struggles with staying still and the dental assistant Rebecca, made sure to give him breaks in between his polishing. Experiencia negativa: I took my kids here for about 2 years after their previous pediatric dentist retired. The first few visits were fine. I was invited back with my kids, their appointments were at the same time, and I was given feedback about their teeth and what could be improved. The last few visits were the opposite experience. They had consecutive visits scheduled which was ok but can be hard for younger kids to have to wait an hour before or after their appt for siblings to be done. I was also told 'you can stay here (in the waiting room)' when my kids were brought back. Since this wasn't their first appointment I was ok with it but would prefer to see what's going on. My kids seemed unsure about going back on their own. I was told a sealant was recommended for my son and that it 'wasn't very expensive' and insurance usually covers it but I don't have dental insurance and that visit cost me over $1000 for two kids' cleanings and a few sealants for one child. My fault for not asking but if you know we don't have insurance, it might be nice to be transparent about costs. When I asked to see a bill as I was basically told the total and asked how I wanted to pay without being given anything, the front desk person was not pleasant at all. My son was also kept in the back for an additional ~30min for the sealants and again I was never told how long it would take (I assumed a few minutes) so I was really worried there was a problem and asked what was going on- again the front desk staff seemed annoyed that I was asking. I didn't anticipate being there for 2.5 hours for 2 kids' cleanings! The last visit my kids again had appointments back-to-back and I was again told I could wait in the reception area and as my kids each came out from the cleaning, I was never told how their teeth were, never got to talk to a dentist, nothing at all. Just asked to pay. I felt so odd about their behavior- like no one wants to talk to the parents or give feedback or anything. Completely antisocial. I actually had to flag the hygienist down to ask how everything looked with their teeth and basically got a shrug and 'they're fine'. That was the last straw and I've since decided to move on to another office..

Experiencia negativa: They removed a loose tooth during an appointment for a filling for my daughter. I asked them not to as I did not have the money to pay for that procedure. I was told not to worry, I would not have to pay for it, just pay for the filling. I paid for the services as the end of the appointment. About a month later I received a bill for an additional $44 from that appointment. Don't go here. They lie. I will not be returning. Too bad because the location is convenient.

As a working dad, they made the process very simple.. from online scheduling, an awesome tv in the waiting room, and very nice staff. I will be bringing my kids here for years to come!

Experiencia fantástica: Such a wonderful experience! My toddler came in very anxious, but Ashley explained the entire visit to her in a way that instantly put her at ease. Her calm, caring attitude shows how great she is with kids, she noticed when she started getting overwhelmed and stepped right in. Jenny was also so friendly and sweet, helping us feel welcomed from the moment we walked in. Thanks to them, the fear was gone before we even made it to the back!

She was so pleasant and welcoming from the moment we walked in. She gave my child an activity to do right away and made sure he was comfortable. She even went above and beyond to keep my other kiddo, who wasn’t scheduled for an appointment, entertained while I spoke with the doctor.. which any parent knows is a huge help! My son has had dental anxiety in the past and is special needs, but this visit went so smoothly. I truly believe it’s because of how warm and caring the front desk was. Experiencia fantástica: This dental office is incredible! Dr. Anu is patient and gentle, and her hygienists are quick and efficient with my young children. The staff is very accommodating of the sensory issues that come with Autism; they strive to make each appointment anxiety-free and comfortable. They take breaks during cleanings, hold hands during exams, and use effective strategies for redirection of anxious behavior. One of our first visits was completed in the corner of the room, not even in the chair. Now, only a few visits later, my child is comfortable to sit in the chair, allow the cleaning and exam tools to be used properly, and even tolerated x-rays. I cannot say enough great things about the level of care, attention to detail, and perseverance through those early-on stressful appointments. I am grateful to have found Dr. Anu and her team!

They even give you free supplies to take care of your teeth. Have good seating in the waiting room, and even have a TV in the room to keep you occupied/entertained. My only issue is the amount of waiting we experience when we have weekday after-school appointments. We generally prefer Saturday 7:00 AM appointments to avoid the wait. The waiting room is very nicely decorated.

Experiencia negativa: We started going here years ago when my two girls were young. Over the last five years their service has gotten worse and worse. Long weights, rude hygienist. I tried one last time with my son because they’ve always been good with him. He’s in a wheelchair and today we left without getting a proper cleaning when in your past we’ve been totally fine! I would not go here with any children who are nervous for the dentist or have a disability.

Experiencia negativa: Before posting this review, I hesitated, wondering if I was being overly critical. However, after reading reviews from others on this and other review sites who shared similar experiences, I decided to share my honest feedback. We have never encountered such terrible attitudes at a dental office. When we had an appointment, I called ahead to inform them we would be a little late. The receptionist told me, “If you are more than 10 minutes late, we cannot accept your appointment.” I understand this policy, and we ended up being 5 minutes late, yet we still waited for over 30 minutes. When I asked the receptionist what was going on, she snapped back, “It’s because you were late.” One or two years ago, they canceled our appointment due to a snowstorm without notifying us. We arrived there and discovered it was closed. They did not apologize for the last-minute cancellation, but now, when we were slightly late, we faced such negative remarks. It’s unbelievable. Two small children who arrived after us were sent in to the treatment area also made to wait for over 30 minutes. Upon closer observation, I realized they were short-staffed. Why do they continue to schedule appointments if they lack sufficient staff? The receptionist didn’t suggest rescheduling or offer any alternatives. Instead, she accused me of being a big complainer. Later, I received a letter stating, “We can no longer accept any further appointments.” The problem clearly lies with the disorganized scheduling by the office staff and the manager, who allows these issues to persist. They care only about their staff’s time and respect towards the staff not the patients' or even school schedules. The office manager’s profile states they specialize in “coordinating schedules to minimize wait times and training team members for efficient pediatric dental care,” yet we experience sudden cancellations, long wait times, and rude, unfriendly receptionists. I doubt the authenticity of the positive feedback they’ve received from other reviewers.

Experiencia negativa: Horrible and heartless practice especially Anu and Magie. stay away. They discriminated and refused service to my child that has been going there for 10 years under Dr Joshi, but he sold the practice to these pretend dentists, and they will go bankrupt in no time, a lot more to come from us, it's far from over.

Experiencia negativa: They had to call 911 for my son because he had “bad reaction to laughing gas”. It seemed like he was almost having a seizure. They didn’t even let me to the room during their work and asked to come after they called 911. After that my son doesn’t wanna go back to any dentist but before he had no problems at all. And he had the laughing gas 3 times prior this incident and everything was fine. Now I had to pay for anesthesia , put my son to sleep which I didn’t want at all , but that was the only way to finish the treatment that they had started , because my son had half of the tooth missing prepared for filling and the other tooth with temporary crown after they did the baby root canal like they said . Awful experience for my son and our family Don’t recommend .

When the are running behind they fail to let you know ahead of time nor when you check in, last time we waited nearly 45 min past appointment time. They are great with the kids.

We started coming during covid and they were the only ones that followed up when my daughter hit her front tooth (at 2 years old) and it pushed the tooth up. Staff is very friendly. My parents appreciate how they can get all 4 of us in back to back appointments two at a time. Currently installed a new tv with great movies playing while you wait. And the best part is the ‘goody bag’ with a tooth brush stickers and other good stuff when you are done.

Experiencia negativa: I’m not sure what happened, but something did. We started coming a little over a year ago, and it was so nice. Dr. Blair was kind, and both kids were comfortable. My daughter needed a cavity, so we got it filled (January 2024) with another dentist. (She was not nice, not sure if she’s still there: Nguyen) I did panic a little because they did not walk me through anything, and were giving her a shot!! The dentist asked, “do you need to leave the room?” which infuriated me, but I calmed down and was allowed to stay. At her next cleaning (March 2024) everything was fine and normal. Can’t remember who we saw then. Next cleaning (October 2024), we saw Dr Grothe (another new one) and she said they would have to redo the cavity because they saw a shadow in the xray taken that day. I told them that they filled the cavity earlier that year. They filled the cavity base on X-rays taken in August of 2023 (at a different practice). The dentist said, well, because the X-ray wasn’t taken here, we might have missed something. But you were in there drilling! How do you miss things!? Organizationally, I’m not sure what’s going on, but they keep sending info to my husband, who knows nothing about anything when it comes to kid medical things. I’ve called to get them to send it to me, but they keep sending him the bill. Lastly, having me pay the surcharge for your credit card is bad business. I don’t know why I am paying for your credit card fees, but that annoys me. I originally gave 3 stars for the kind treatment at the beginning. But take 2.5 off for all the different dentists I’ve seen and the organizational mishaps that they can’t seem to get in order. Another 0.5 for this response below.
