Experiencia fantástica: I have brought my kids to JustKidz for years now and they provide the best care I could ask for. They make it such a good experience for the kids. So personal and kind. My kids actually enjoy going to the dentist!

Experiencia fantástica: This dentist’s office sets the gold standard for what a child’s experience at the dentist should be. I brought my two boys, ages 3 and 2, here for their very first dental visits. Lucie came out to meet them in the lobby, talked to them gently and kindly, and had my oldest — and wildest — sitting still and following instructions for well over 30 minutes. As someone who works in healthcare, I was floored by her bedside manner and her ability to make something genuinely intimidating feel like fun. If every dental practice had a Lucie, no child would be afraid of the dentist. She elevates this office into something extraordinary, and I’ll gladly keep driving the extra 45 minutes to bring my children here.

Experiencia fantástica: 7/9/26 Another great visit to the dentist! Lucy is absolutely THE BEST! She has such a calm presence and helps my son stay calm through his cleanings. Today we sprung sealants on my kiddo after his cleaning. They had time so we went ahead with it. They offered gas as a calming strategy since he had already persevered through his cleaning. Lucy was great and we left with smiles and a lot of rewards! Thank you to the team who worked with us today!

Experiencia fantástica: The dental hygienists at Just Kidz are amazing! They know so well how to make little kids comfortable during their first visits at the dentist. From the playful waiting room with toys and activities to the way the kids can pick out special princess sunglasses to wear so the overhead light doesn’t shine in their eyes to the way they showed my 3 year old each tool by first pretending to use it to count her fingers or clean her nails before counting and cleaning her teeth. This dentistry is brilliant! And both female doctors are fantastic and friendly as well! Can’t recommend it enough!

If your child is having anxiety, they go out of their way to help them feel better. The only downfall to this awesome dentist is that the schedule fills quickly so booking is much further out than normal.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Kalloch and his team worked a miracle for us! Our baby girl was born with a severe lip tie that affected her ability to nurse, so we were pumping and then bottle feeding her. She would frequently choke on the bottles, often turning her lips blue and leaving her gasping for air. The team took care of her lip tie and now she is able to nurse with no issues, and when she does still occasionally take a bottle, she does not choke. Our girl seems to be so much happier and she is gaining weight like crazy at 5 weeks old! We are SO THANKFUL for this amazing team!!

Experiencia fantástica: I've brought my kids here three times now, twice for cleanings and once for fillings. Our experiences have always been stellar! The staff are personable and professional. My anxious daughter calmed down immediately when the nurse offered her a variety of toothpaste flavors, and the signs with my kids' names were the count on the cake. They gave us a practice "nose" for the nitrous oxide before the appointment so she'd get used to the feel, and she loved picking out a movie to watch on the ceiling while she got her fillings. The doctor and nurses communicate simply and clearly with the kids as well as the parents. Definitely recommend this place!

Dr.Jack came in greeted us asked us and asked what's seems to be going on. Explained it and he got to work. Was nothing but a flaw in his adult tooth. Took great care of us. Definitely recommend Dr.Jack a great addition to the Just KIDZ Dentistry. Really all the Dr's and staff are awesome in the Peoria office. Nice dentist office for the kiddos.

Experiencia fantástica: My daughter Mia was really scared to have a tooth pulled today, but the entire staff was incredible at helping her feel calm and safe. They took the time to talk her through everything and made such a difference in her experience. Dr. Jack Kalloch was absolutely amazing—so gentle, patient, and reassuring throughout the whole process. He explained everything in a way Mia could understand, which really helped ease her fear. The staff here is always wonderful. We have four kids, ages 16 to 3, who all come here—and when one gets to go and the others don’t, they’re actually upset! If that doesn’t say something about how great this place is, I don’t know what will. Highly recommend to any parent looking for a caring, kid-friendly dental office!

Experiencia negativa: Our dental insurance changed and is now OON. The office staff didn’t tell us that instead waited until after the visit and asked for a payment of $165 for a routine check up like it was normal and when I asked why it’s so much she said oh your insurance isn’t in network with us. Your old coverage was in network so that’s why the payments were less. So are you paying with a card? I then found out I was lied to about the charges for the previous appointment as well. I thought I paid for x-rays because insurance didn’t cover it due my child having the done twice in less than a year but I actually paid more because we were OON then too. I don’t like being lied to about charges nor do I like being kept in the dark on things that will affect me financially. We will not be going back. I expect better from a provider that we have been seeing for 4 years.

Experiencia negativa: *EDIT* March 5, 2026 I hate to change my review but feel as if its important to add. My son had his second appointment where they were filling 2 cavities. The laughing gas did not calm my 4 year old down and he was pretty frightened by the device used to keep his mouth open/suction the water. He has sensory issues when it comes to his mouth and also has a speech delay so sometimes when he cant find the words his type of communication is yelling. Dr. Jack was patient at first but I can tell as time went on he was losing it. He even said very stern and loudly in my 4 year old's face " STOP YELLING NO YELLING!" It got to the point where they had to STRAP my son down so they could finish the procedure. It is very traumatic to see your child that way. I was told they couldn't do the fillings and had to put silver caps on them instead. When we were finished I was just guided to the front to pay and they gave me a referral for another dentist. Moral of my story, if you have a child with sensory issues or the fear of the dentist I do NOT recommend Dr Jack. Laci the hygienist was very kind and helpful though. Take your children to Ottawa instead. (my first review Jan 2026) I can’t say enough good things about this dental office! I had some not-so-great experiences at the dentist as a kid, so bringing my own child in made me a little nervous. But they were absolutely wonderful with my 4-year-old. He was pretty anxious, and the hygienist was so kind and patient. She explained everything she was doing in a way he could understand, and I could actually see him start to relax as the appointment went on. That meant the world to me.

Experiencia fantástica: I just wanted say I would highly recommend Just Kidz Dentistry to any special needs family looking for a dental office able to accommodate the unique needs of their child. The staff is exceptional and the hygienists are patient, understanding and compassionate. My daughter has been a client of a Just Kidz Dentistry for over a decade and recently had to have two fillings. She was able to get through the procedure thanks to the hard work of Dr. Jack, 3 dental hygienists and a sweet receptionist who never fails to help us out to the van afterwards. They all made a challenging experience better than I could have hoped.

Experiencia negativa: I’m leaving this review to warn other parents to get a second opinion before agreeing to treatment here — especially for babies. I took my 12-month-old for her first dental visit and was told she had “demineralization/cavities” on her top front teeth, allegedly from breastfeeding. No X-rays were taken, yet SDF was applied, permanently turning her front teeth black. At a follow-up appointment, when my child understandably would not cooperate due to her age, I was told the situation was “too severe” and that she would need to be put under general anesthesia for crowns. This did not sit right with me, so I sought a second opinion elsewhere. The second dentist (smalltown dental) took X-rays and confirmed my child’s teeth are completely healthy and normal, with no cavities and no demineralization, and that no treatment was needed at all. (They were AMAZING) As a result, my child now has unnecessary permanent black staining on her front teeth from a treatment that should never have been done. I strongly encourage parents to ask questions, request X-rays when appropriate, and seek a second opinion before allowing aggressive treatments — especially on infants.

The front office took the time to explain my coverage to me and make sure I understood everything. When we didnt have insurance they offered an in office savings plan. I cant say enough good about this office...only complaint I have is that they dont see adults! Haha. Seriously though I wouldn't take my kid anywhere else.

Experiencia fantástica: Just Kidz Dentistry is amazing. My daughter was only 4 when she got her first filling. I already felt horrible...like I wasn't taking good care of her teeth....and then nervous for how she would react to getting fillings. They made her so comfortable, which put me at ease. They have screens on the ceiling so the kids can watch their favorite shows while the Dentist works in their mouth. They let her pick 3 different prizes /snacks for doing such a good job. And they introduced each dental tool to her in a kid friendly way (ex. The tool they used to keep her mouth open was a "mermaid tail" and they told her "time to paint your teeth!" When they used the blue material at the end). We have found there is a big difference between going to a place that "sees kids" vs going to a place lile Just Kidz that tailors every part of the experience to kids. We pay more to go here than we would other places but we feel it is totally worth every penny.

Experiencia negativa: Check your bills. They seem to have a shady billing practice. On the treatment case I have they gave us. It shows a visit would be $782 total with us owing $274 after insurance. They ended up charging us $302.13. Ok, not too far off, maybe insurance paid a little less than they were told before. But then I got the statement from the insurance company. It shows they billed insurance $1,118 and insurance paid $935.47 (insurance paid more than what they said the total would be initially). Insurance statement says we owed $182.53 after insurance paid their part. Again, they charged us $302.13. So between insurance paying $935.47 and us paying $302.13 they got $1,237.60. So they got $455.60 more than what they told us the original total was going to be and $119.60 more than they even billed the insurance company.

My son (6) is scared to go to the dentist and has never let others get X-rays and he did it today with no problems! He said “this place is 11 out of 10”. ☺️ My daughter (2) just had her first ever dentist appt today and she did great as well. The staff was amazing and did so well with the kids. It was a nice touch to have the tv’s with a Disney movie playing as well as the play/color area in the waiting room. As a parent, it gave me so much peace of mind and my only regret is not coming here sooner! Overall, great experience and thankful for a great pediatric dentist office to be able to take my kids to!

Experiencia negativa: If I knew then what I know now, I would have *never* brought my child here. After moving to another state and finding a new dentist — one who is knowledgeable, patient, and meets children where they are developmentally — I now realize just how inappropriate the treatment was at this office for my daughter (now 5) when she was only 2.5 years old. At her **first appointment ever**, she was expected to sit alone in the dental chair and undergo X-rays. It was in the same manner that I as an adult would have. This felt intense and unnecessary for such a young child, but I trusted the process at the time — something I deeply regret now. A small cavity was found, and she was scheduled for a filling. What followed was traumatic: she was placed in a **papoose restraint** (a straightjacket-like device), and the dentist, **Dr. Spates**, was not only cold but downright unkind most times. Rather than soothing or comforting my daughter — a terrified toddler — she was told to “sit still and stop crying.” I still don’t understand how someone with such little patience or empathy for children is working in a pediatric dental setting. She often made unnecessary, condescending remarks — one that stuck with me was: *“You shouldn’t let her brush her teeth on her own if she can’t even do the dishes on her own.”* For the record, we **only let our daughter brush her teeth after we had already brushed them for her ourselves**, but I guess she assumed otherwise without asking. I stayed composed during our visits, but in hindsight, I wish I had spoken up. I see other reviews share similar experiences. Thankfully, my second child (now also 2) recently had her first appointment with our new dentist, and the difference was night and day. She sat in my lap, they gently brushed her teeth, and there was no pressure, fear, or trauma. In fact, the new dentist expressed surprise that my first child had been given X-rays at her very first visit at such a young age — something they would *never* do without a strong clinical reason. The only reason I’m giving two stars instead of one is because the front desk staff and assistants were always kind and friendly. But unfortunately, that doesn't make up for the emotional damage caused by the dentist’s treatment approach.

Even tho he was the only dentist working today, my daughter had two small cavities and he went ahead and fixed them even tho we were just there for a cleaning! I appreciate so much. He was very kind! This was the Washington location!

Experiencia fantástica: They are just wonderful. Took my level 3, nonverbal autistic child and they knew exactly what to do. Typically people act as tho autistic children are aliens. We got all necessary work done without anesthesia, which other dentists had reccomended. I could not reccomended them enough. I was honestly amazed at their work. It was a friendly atmosphere for children and they were not judgmental at all. They were prompt and on time. They were great with my neurodivergent/ autistic child and with my toddler. If I could give them 10 stars I would! I highly recommend for anyone! I am so happy and grateful to be taking my children here!
